I don't really think that Sapphire is all that far from being evil. She just needs resources and less reserve about the consequences of her actions.

Yeah it's a little more challenging to turn Emerald evil because she has an insane amount of innocence. Not to say it's impossible, cause I can think of a tragedy or seven that could have made her become far darker.

The really fun thing would be if she doesn't lose that innocent persona or fun loving attitude she has. Is boss of major crime organization, finds a member that ratted them out to the cops. Her men bring him into a cell and little Emerald follows after with a bright smile on her face. "You know that wasn't very nice was it? And you know what I do to people who aren't nice to me." Takes out a knife, slowly and systematically chops off three of his fingers. "I'm bored, someone take over, text me when he talks. I hear they opened up a new icecream parlor on fourth." Looks at bleeding man. "You want some icecream? No? Alright," motions to guards. "It was mint chocolate chip and vanilla right? I'll be back in an hour."

@Abillioncats Yeah evil Sapphire would just be eerily calm and prone to shooting people that disappointed her but evil Emerald, not that is truly scary.
