I understand that, however, Fury moved towards Kanitah with his right arm extended and then immediately followed with the underarm strike.

Did I say right arm? I could have sworn I said left.

Yep, definitely says left.

That was an earlier action, in the current post he is darting forward with his left hand extended and then launching an underarm strike with his right arm.

He looked at his left palm in front of his face for a moment, ever concentrating on the energy build up in his right so as to not release it by accident. He thought about his actions, what was he doing exactly?

Fury settled into something like a boxing stance with his left shoulder closer to Kanitah, his right hand continuing to flex as he built up energy in the palm of his hand and then condensed it, packing a huge volume of explosive potential into a small space. His teeth gritted at the effort, but it was a good pain.

I actually didn't really say what Fury's stance was immediately before launching the attack, though it stands to reason that it would be the stance most applicable for launching that strike. It wouldn't make sense for Fury to still have his right arm extended if he intended to punch/palm strike with it. If you wanted to capitalise on his extended arm you should have done so when he pointed at Kanitah dramatically and started walking forward about two posts back.

Two things:
1: You forgot to mention the elbow in the chest.
2: Kanitah isn't going for a grapple, he's shoving at Fury's hand.

Your character didn't have a realistic amount of time to wind his elbow up and then actually strike with it, so the only thing he would be doing is using his weight to cause discomfort, which is not going to even be noticeable to Fury.

You said Kanitah was trying to wrestle his hand into his body, if all you're doing is shoving at his hand you have even less chance of effecting him, but regardless the end result is the same as you simply move Fury's hand into the position it needs to be in anyway.

Try to actually leave enough time for the energy blast to escape this time, you've already enacted two bullet time moves to somehow stop Fury before he can even point in Kanitah's direction.

It's all one fluid motion, shoving off of Fury and twisting his body.

To be fair, Fury's energy blast probably wasn't -that- strong, Fury's energy attacks are pretty shit really, he has no real skill just lots of power.

I figured he had gone unbridled, what with this line:
Fury’s eyes narrowed, the wounds feeding his power, the energy increasing tenfold as pain was ruthlessly squashed and packaged, sent directly to the front lines.

If it wasn't strong enough to blow him back, I have an entirely different post to write up.

Nah, Fury hadn't gone unbridled, I would have been more specific if he had. This attack is sort of a mix between his energy glaive ability and a basic push, it's a pushing attack with some burn to it.

It would definitely throw Kanitah away from Fury unless he held on insanely tight, but it probably wouldn't be powerful enough to obliterate his arm due to all the energy he lost when his concentration was sabotaged. It would probably just launch him away from Fury and cause some fairly significant burning and kinetic damage.

If Kanitah tries to block it with his hand though it would probably break his fingers and whatnot.

I don't know why Kanitah is so upset about being weaker than Fury, that definitely isn't the case. This is the form of combat that suits Fury better than any other, and he's hardly steam-rolling Kanitah.

Hell, considering he's fighting a dude in armour with his bare fists he should be surprised he's done anything at all.

It's a combination of things that make Kanitah upset with the situation, not just pure physical strength. Kanitah knows that he's almost second to none when it comes to pure muscular fortitude.

Fury's faster.
Fury's almost as strong as he is, and can use a similar kinetic boost for his punches.
Fury's younger.
Fury's much more aggressive.
Fury's taller and has better reach.
Fury's got much more range than he does, with the blasts and everything.
And to top it off, Fury can fly unaided.
