The candidates for death fodder are Yang and Pyrrha. If Yang dies, it'll remove Ruby's shield and give the main character a reason to grow. If Pyrhha dies, it'll remove Jaune's shield and give the secondary main character a reason to grow. It'll also open up Jaune and Ruby to be shipped together when Jaune is in need of comfort.

So I'm guessing Pyrhha will die, if any of the main cast. Why can't it be Yang?

Maybe they'll off Cardin in a heroic redemption sacrifice sort of thing.

I can't imagine her dying, not in the least. She'd need to become much more involved with the other main characters for her to be killed off. If she's killed off like she is I'll be disappointed. It would feel like Monty did it simply for the shock factor and to make the series seem more dark and edgy.

Apparently the wikia says Jaune and Tucker are the most similar.

I highly doubt they'll kill Jaune. He's the male lead. If the statue in the opening and whatever episode Blake goes all 'mewmewmewangst' in are to indicate anything, Ruby and Jaune are the chosen ones. 'Cause the statue in the opening is of a man holding Jaune's exact sword (his great great grandfather, probably) and he's standing with a young looking girl/woman wearing a cloak that looks suspiciously similar to a certain scythe wielding wolf slayer.

You can't just kill reincarnated chosen ones. This is fact.

I had a thought a while ago: if the humans of Remnant were created from Dust, did something-- or someone-- create them? And where did the Faunus come from? What connection do they have with the Grimm?

We both know, that if we ever guess a plot-element correctly, and any of Monty's minions see this, he'll just work another triple-overtime and re-write the whole thing or die trying.

And if Monty dies, the whole series dies.

Might be just me, but does anyone else want to see reptile-based Faunus? So far we've only seen mammal-based (rabbit, cat, bull, monkey).
