Question: Pulse is asking for a pet that Regis can't eat, or get to, right?

Or is he asking for one that Regis could eat, in the event that something goes badly?

Also, this is just for me... does Regis eat the eggs raw? Or do you have to boil them first? I don't know anything about reptile pets.

Pulse is making sure that whatever Kassy gets is going to either be something Regis can't over power and eat, or something he can't get to in the event that it is something he could over power since monitor lizards tend to be opportunistic predators. I just screwed up a bit when I made my last post.

As far as the eggs go, Regis like all monitors can eat them both ways, however it's advised to just keep them on raw since it's a lot easier on their digestive systems.

I could see that going hilariously given how Pulse would likely react, and oh how quickly the tables would be turned on Regis if it was one of the larger species of bird of prey.

Meh, sanity is for the bland anyway. Join us here in the insanity pool, free mimosas every thursday! But in all seriousness, a hawk is a good choice seeing as there are many species out there to pick from. Had you not said that your preference is for small ones i'd have pointed out Ospreys seeing as they're the only ones I know of that frequent aquatic environments. Sparrow Hawks are also an option seeing as they're pretty small, however I can't remember whether or not they're actually hawks, or if it's just a name.

Silly or not, i'm interested to hear what your idea was. Personally speaking I was sort of wondering the exact same thing, since Kassy disappears from the house some nights I was toying with the idea of asking you if you wanted me to play a poacher attempting to smuggle some exotic animals into the city via the docks for private sale, but now you've got me curious.

*shrug* Kassy's got a good soul, and animals are sensetive to that kind of thing. Simply, she saves the hawk and feeds it, and then it just sort of... latches on.

The bit with the smuggler is great too, I can add that in after Kassy's nightly activity.

Question: In one of the earlier post, you wrote that Kassy is one of two people that Pulse can stand.

Who's the other?

Also does Kassy know that the Hive comes to visit? I'm not sure how she'd feel about it...

@Mistress Dizzy I've sort of tried to keep Pulse as a character tied to the TT roleplay Crim ran a while back, so the other person would be Gizmo seeing as he's done several "jobs" with him and the others from the Hive, not to mention Gizmo pretty much helped save his life after the first battle with Slade and made him a new arm after the rematch where Slade cut off Dimitri's arm. As far as visitations go Dimitri would probably have them call ahead in advance to make sure he had the house to himself since I doubt Kassy would still be unaware of their criminal status. The good news is Dimitri wouldn't be joining them in their activities and would only be allow them to stay so long as they did their work discreetly enough to make it unnecessary for him to interfere as Pulse.

Sweet mother Mary, it took me a bit to chop that post up to keep it from being a run on paragraph. Also I kinda figured I may as well give Pulse a nice little helping of ptsd. After all, one doesn't just shrug off their arm being lopped off by a sword wielding maniac.

...honestly that was one of my favorite RPs, I'm so sad it got abruptly ended. *thinks* Kijani is probably still with Slade, though. She trusts him.

Kassy... really wants to give Pulse a hug. Not sure if I'll actually have her do so. I know good and well she can see straight through Pulse's act. But I don't know if she'll act on it. *considers it* I'll get to answering in the morning. I don't do my best work at near 4am.

You're much too kind. And I have to agree with you in regards to the travesty that was that Rp ending. As of late i've been debating whether or not to start up an RP in either the free or casual section based on this and the TT rp, but further in the future (say, about twenty or so years). The idea would be that the U.S. government would legalize vigilante activity with proper licensing, and after gaining some serious cash from the stock exchange Pulse -who at this point would be reaching grumpy old man status- would undergo the necessary procedures to acquire the tools and permits he'd need to open a facility to train people and issue licenses upon completion of their education.

I know that the 'hero school' troupe a bit common on this site, but i'm hoping to switch it up a bit and give it a more urgent 'passing the torch' sort of feel since i've always had this idea rooted in the back of my head that Pulse's powers are extremely volatile and that he'd eventually lose control of them and go critical when he got old. Pulse would know that he doesn't have very long and would keep it a secret as he tried to leave the world just a bit better through his final actions. The only things really stopping this idea are the facts that I know that eventually people are going to stop focusing on the classes and just mill about aimlessly, I'm not all that good at being a GM, and, as said before, hero school RPs are a dime a dozen here.

Oh, and if you want Kassy to hug Dimitri, you might wanna have her pin his arms so he doesn't go noogying her with his metal hand.
