I know how you feel Apollo. I dabbled in a lot of martial arts. When I took some Kyokushin lessons in Japan they were like PUNISHMENT TIME!

Me: ...wat? You want to hit 'me', what is basically a small, skinny bag of brittle bones in a flesh covering, to take hits?

On the plus side I can now break a shinai over my stomach without feeling much ._.

I don't know what dojo you've been to but my friends here in Kumagaya do akido, Kendo and Kyudo (dude, dude and girl respectively) and they once pointed out to me that it was highly illegal to hit a student that way. We were in my living room watching Gundam Build FIghters, being the GaIjIn I am (I'm a foReigner) I asked If training in japan, they went through such things like one of the protagonists. They quickly told me no that it was only in anime to give it drama, then they laughed and asked me what society did I think japanese had... barbarians?

I know. I am THAT Gaijin. But awkward moments in life aside, you can totally sue your mentor for a large sum of money.

@71342My friends dad is a shishou of kyokushin. Really traditional guy...reeeeally traditional...like father like son too. We went to a little hut in Shizuoka and, like the idiot i was, i agreed to jigoku jyugyou...was fun up till the bamboo part XD. But nah. I agreed to it and hes my friends dad. Not suing him.

EDIT:Not going back for anothrr round of lessons though.

Hider

Appearance: A shorter-than-average man of about 5’7, Lightning Fast is actually eighteen years of age, though his considerable stubble, mild five o’clock shadow and good posture actually give him the appearance of being a few years older than he really is. He has more body hair than seems appropriate for someone his size, and has thick, bushy eyebrows. His thin, rounded rectangular glasses conceal a blue circle under each eye from lack of sleep. Though his upper body is on the scrawny side, he has a sturdy, square build and thighs thick with muscle from years of skiing. His skin is pale, and he has several scars along his face, back and arms. He claims they’re from a fight, though they are suspiciously mosquito-bite-and-chicken-pox-sized.

Weapon of choice: Like all Canadians, Mr. Fast has some training with the woodsman’s axe, though does not own any weapons of his own. He distinctly remembers his mother emerging from the basement one night with a massive, renaissance-era sword, though he never saw it again. If cornered, however, Lightning’s preferred strategy is the ancient martial art of “throw something and run the hell away”. Though not particularly athletic by most metrics, he tends to go all-out on those few occasions when he is at the gym or running some sort of race. This occasionally ends with him getting injured, or more often being incredibly sore for the next several days.

Despite an affinity for axes, stunted height and coarse body-hair, it is not possible to confirm whether or not Lightning Fast is secretly a dwarf from Lord of the Rings.

Likes: Video games (especially CK2 and EU4), watching YouTube videos, A Song of Ice and Fire, Pokemon, skiing, biking, sleeping in, staying up late, eating, running, bagels, lox, cream cheese, dogs, small birds, 80s rock music, and the biological sciences

Dislikes: Driving, getting punched in the stomach, the next three days after a workout, peas, getting up early, when people measure temperature in degrees fahrenheit, chemical kinetics and calculus

Others:

• Lightning Fast often gets told he looks like Harry Potter, despite sharing few similarities with him aside from his dark hair and classes.
• Though not uncharismatic, he is terrible at expressing any sort of romantic interest, as well as being completely oblivious to the romantic interest of others

• His glasses’ lenses turn into sunglasses in bright light, give Lightning a +10 Resistance VS blinding effects

I don't want to post too quickly (There's also only so many ways I can describe casting the same spell at range... now Melee.....Is a whole other thing.) but I also don't want to slow the Ic, Ret remains green. :>.

That is a nice third turn btw.

If you guys want to discuss what you want to do with the others in the OOC first before actually doing it, well, then you'll be doing what I originally intended for my players to do. Then again, you're so many, so that might not be practical. Haha.

And... well, I am perfectly fine with just hearing more minor posts with movements if you have nothing else to do.

Well Arathyra isn't exactly a "lead the charge" kind of person so I’ll wait. But on the bright side if we stomp everyone and just get levels I can still get exp. Because when you get a level if your max HPs increase your current HPs don't so I still get to heal people. XD
