It's was over an hour since school let out and Midori was free from her duty of educating young and not so willing minds. One would think the teacher would now be taking a well deserved break, but no! Evil never rests so a hero of justice such as herself wouldn't rest either! And so the red haired woman stood atop a city building, over looking the city for any sign of trouble. So far it had been remarkably peaceful.

Midori knew better than that. They were only lulling those poor citizens into a false sense of comfort. Those dastardly villains were sure to strike when they least expect it. It was up to her to keep a vigilant watch on the city to ensure it's safety!
In another part of the city, a young girl with short brown hair ran down the sidewalk, being careful not to run into anyone. Her erratic pace made it clear she had been running for awhile and was clearly getting tired. Try as she might to continue pushing herself, she eventually slowed to a stop and bent over to catch her breath.

"I'm soooo late," Inori bemoaned between harsh intakes of air. She had completely forgotten that she promised her mom she'd help take care of the new kittens that were brought in. She had gotten far too caught up in feeding the ducks at the park and completely lost track of the time.

Heaving a sigh, she straightened herself up and began walking at a much more manageable pace. There was no point in tiring herself out if she was already going to be late.

It was then that she caught something shadowy in the corner of her eye, "Huh?"

She turned her head and peeked at the alley she had just noticed she was next to. Had it been a stray? Maybe she should comeback here tomorrow with some leftovers. There was no telling how awfully hungry it would be.

He could barely remember a thing

Terra, at least he knew his name, held in his hands three Gaia Memories; Cyclone, Heat, and Eternal. He wasn't sure where they came from, or what they really were. But he knew they could give someone power. He also knew that there were more out there, they were the key to getting back his lost memories. Only problem was; he had no idea where they were, or even where to start looking. And so he wandered around the unfamiliar streets, passing by complete strangers as he searched for his missing memories

Not far from the school there was a local shrine which was famous for its purification rituals and attracting tourists with its history. Many people came there to prey or ask the Miko for spiritual advice and fortunes. Rei Hino was this Miko and she used her gift of fortune telling and spiritual aura sencing and readings to make people happy or uneasy. Her gift was a blessing and a curse. Sience school was out Rei was helping her Grandfather who owned the shrine with his buisness then fed her crows. All seemed peaceful for now tho Rei was not fooled. The malevolent auras were still for now however at the first sencing of evil spirits she would see to it things were delt with before the locals were harmed. Rei also had a secreat she kept and had never told anyone else...this secreat allowed her to protect everyone..

Watching everyone leave for the day the President Shizuru Fujino was looking over some paperwork and calmly sipping her tea. Incidents in this city were reported to be on the rise and she knew it was only a matter of time before more arose. However there were no reports of any incidents as of yet. She could not worry tho as she had many duties to attend to. "My my.." She said to herself. "I just hope Natsuki will be alright..wherever she is." She then stood up with her tea in hand and headed out into the city. Evil never slept it seemed..as much as she wanted to believe that. She would also see that Natsuki would not come to any harm..even in a brief moment of peace.

Shizuru had her reasons for fretting about Natsuki but no one could understand what they were.

"Kero? Can I ask you something?" Sakura was standing in front of several mirrors while wearing another one of Tomoyo's dresses. Pink dress, lacing underneath, white gloves, red shoes...it was an awfully cute dress. These decorative wings were a lot heavier than she thought they would be. Nothing that she couldn't handle, just a little surprising.

"Ask away!" Kero shouted happily as he continued to take bites out of his strawberry cake. "Mmmmm~".

"Well...you know how there have been more recent attacks on the city, right?" She walked over to the table and took a seat. Tomoyo, who was out of the room for a bit, entered the room carrying a tray with tea cups and a freshly brewed kettle of tea. "Do you think these attacks have anything to do with the Clow Cards?" Upon hearing that, Kero lowered his fork and began to think hard about that.

"I can't say for sure...I mean, it could be possible. Most of the cards aren't violent in behavior...well, most of the time anyways". The little plush toy looking lion wiped some frosting off of his cheek, then went to rubbing his chin. "But, we can't rule out the possibility that the two might not have something to do with each other. It might be a good idea to do some scouting, just in case".

"Okay" The brown haired girl picked her tea up and took a sip. "Maybe I can do something to help, too. I don't want to see my home destroyed".

"That's awfully dangerous business you're getting into, Sakura". Kero warned, floating up to her face. "Are you sure you'll be okay?"

"Sakura is the most capable girl I know" Tomoyo took this moment to speak up. She sipped her tea before speaking again. "Besides, it's not as though she'll be out there alone. There are a lot of other people out there fighting to protect our way of life. Who knows? Sakura might even make a new friend or two out there".

"Well...you have a point" Kero noted cautiously. "Well...lets have a scouting mission tonight, just to see how it goes".

"Sure, that's fine with me" Sakura finished her tea.

"How about you two come meet me here at seven pm?" Tomoyo brought up. "I can give you everything we need to keep in touch with each other, and..." She brought out a video camcorder from under the table. "I can video tape you on your exciting adventures, wearing my outfits!" Sakura's friend seemed very excited about that, to which she could only smile in a worried and nervous way.

"T-Tomoyo..."

As the sun started to set over the city, a black motorcycle thrummed as it sped through the streets. Clad in black and red leathers and helmet, the girl hunched over its saddle was anonymous as she wove through the light traffic, skidding around a bend and punching the throttle. Eventually, she let her bike idle to a halt in front of a small park near the local highschool, kicking the stand down and straightening up.

Natsuki Kuga pulled her helmet off rested it on her hip, using one hand to flick her blue-black hair over her shoulder as she let herself enjoy the brief feeling of cool air on her face. The motion put the faint moon in her field of view, along with the twinkling red star that always accompanied it. The sight was enough to bring her back to business, and she frowned to herself. Her investigations were, for now, stalled, which was why she was out here patrolling the city. All she could do was keep an eye out for monsters while she waited for her contacts to come through, and hope that she came across some new clue that would push her in the right direction. It wasn't such a long shot - the monsters, the other fighters in the city - it was all connected, she was convinced.

Lost in thought for a second, she shook her head slightly and looked around, casing the park and the street for a moment before moving on.

A very happy girl exited the convenience store, said happiness indicated by the bright smile she wore, bags of shopping in each hand.

Filled mostly with vegetables, the owner of the goods was very much looking forward to dinner that day, since she was meeting with Anego and Tetsuko that day, too. Those two were always such fun to hang out and play with! And she was expecting a visit from her little sisters, too, so she had made sure to buy extra. No idea what Paya-tan was doing right now, but if he was hungry, he'd show up too.

Ever since she'd started living in this city, Punie had found endless sources of amusement. From the weak little monsters that dared to try and challenge her, to the other girls that felt the need to step in when she could clear them out with no effort expended on her part. Well, at least it meant she didn't need to unnecessarily waste her time. And those other girls seemed nice, too!

Humming merrily to herself, Punie walked home, her chosen tune not at all taken from a song involving destruction of world monuments and locations.

Standing atop a distant rooftop, distant from prying eyes, Kumojacky looks down on the city before him. As usual, it's teeming with people of all sorts, but only a miniscule fraction of them have the potential to be worthy adversaries. He's heard of the so-called heroes fighting off monsters that sometimes plague the city, though he doubted they would be a challenge for him right now. However, the time will come when he'll put their strength to the test and by extension, his own as well. Whether the world is a paradise or hell, it makes no difference to Kumojacky, as long as it produces warriors worth fighting against.
