[OOC] Magical Girl Xross Unite

[Rogue of Void]

In the year 20XX, super powered females known as Magical Girls have been on the rise. These girls fight to uphold the peace in the name of love, justice, and friendship! One particular city in Japan has become a hub for magical girls around the world to come and meet. Especially since baddies seem to take an unusually high interest in this city. While magical girls are well known part of society, thanks to their efforts to prevent evil from taking over. Their secrets are safely guarded and not even fellow magical girls know each other's identities outside of being a magical girl.

For the past few weeks, attacks from monsters have been happening more frequently. Villains from many dimensions and planets have been appearing to stake claim on the city. There are even rumors that some are working together. With this this major threat looming over them, it's up to the heroines of this story to take charge and save the day!

Rules

No Godmodding, Powerplaying, Autohitting, or Metagaming.

Please respect everyone in the thread and keep drama to a minimum. If you have a problem with the actions of a player or their character, inform me through PM and I will deal with it as I see fit.

I will look at powers on a case by case basis. If I feel something is too powerful for the RP, then I will pend my acceptance until we can work something out.

If a character does not fit into the setting or breaks it for whatever reason, then adjustments must be made to make them fit.

OCs and Magical Boys (through genderbending, OCs, or canon magical boys) are allowed. However, I am limiting OCs to 1 for every 2 canon characters that gets signed up. With that in mind, DO NOT sign up as an OC until I I give the okay as to allot time for enough canon characters to be signed up. I will ignore all OC signups that come before I open OC signups. So I hope this is okay. ^^; Will probably try and write up a villain tomorrow, but we'll see how that turns out.

• Name: Mana Aida/Cure Heart
• Age: 14
• Appearance: As Mana and as Cure Heart.
• Powers and Abilities: By having her fairy mascot Cheryl transform into her Lovely Commune and calling out "Precure Love Link!", Mana transforms into Cure Heart. In this form, she has superhuman levels of strength, agility and durability. It's noted that her body now feels as light as a feather to her. In addition to her physical abilities, Cure Heart has a special attack named My Sweet Heart. Finally, any female character who spends more than a few minutes in her presence becomes part of her harem.
• Brief desc.: The bright and energetic student council president of Oogai First Public Middle School. She's a person who believes actions speak louder than words, and will often jump in to help others without even thinking about it. After an encounter with the fairy Cheryl, the villainous Selfish and the Trump Kingdom's last remaining warrior Cure Sword atop the Clover Tower (if it helps melting potness, will change this to Tokyo Tower), she gained the ability to transform into Cure Heart.

• Brief desc.: Rikka’s the secretary of the Student Council at Oogai First Public Middle School. She’s quiet, honest, blunt, not afraid to speak her mind and a very intelligent girl. She loves to study, and is a genius at it, being one of the Top 10 scorers in the national trial exams. She is great at observing people and situations. She became Cure Diamond not long after Mana broke her secret to her, feeling that she shouldn’t keep secrets from her friends. Although to be fair the giant goat eating the contents of letterboxes didn’t help matters.

Brief description: As one of the Desert Apostles, Kumojaki may be classified as a villain, but he believes in honorable battles. He won't fight anyone he deems to be too weak to face him. His entire purpose in life is to test his strength.

I'm thinking I'll sign up as Mai from Mai-Hime, considering Rogue of Void has said they'll be playing a Mai-Hime character too, though I'm wondering how we'll work out the whole hime star thing in the shared universe.

I think it would be better not to focus too heavily on explaining the Hime Star. Just a vague girls with powers from a star would be enough. For Hime stuff, I rather focus on the first half with Orphans and SEARS foundation, the battle royale part of HiME would hijack the plot too much.

Name: Sakura Kinomoto

Age: 10

Appearance: She has short brown hair with green eyes. She usually wears her casual clothes, or her school uniform on school days. When she has to fight, she is usually given an outfit by her best friend Tomoyo. Even though they serve little purpose other than hiding her identity, and the occasional water protection, Tomoyo insists that she wears them so she can film her in the outfit.

Powers and Abilities: Sakura is a user of the Clow Cards. She is on a quest to collect them, and at the moment has about six cards: Windy, Fly, Shadow, Watery, Wood, and Rain. Each card has its own abilities. She can also sense magic and is exceptionally athletic on her own abilities.

Brief desc.: Elementary school student Sakura Kinomoto is a cheerful, energetic girl who lead a normal life. Sometimes she is a little dense or a little clumsy, but her friendly nature makes it easy for her to talk to people and befriend them. Her mother died when she was very young, so she doesn't have a lot of memories about her. From what her father's told her, she sounded like a wonderful person. A few of her friends are Tomoya, who loves to make dresses for her to wear and record them on her video camera; Yukito, who she talks with on the way to school and has a crush on; and Kero, who helps Sakura with her duties of collecting the cards.

Um... I know I'm not a GM, but I don't think Sakura should have all of the cards to begin with. That's a bit much, really. XD

...Also oh wow I keep forgetting the anime added a whole bunch of cards the manga didn't have.

That and the fact that some of the Clow Cards are just a teensy-weensy bit broken from a gameplay perspective.

There was a bit of a discussion in the Interest Check on whether or not Sakura would be an appropriate character to use in this kind of setting. Ultimately, it's up to the GM to decide whether or not she would fit this universe. If she doesn't, then I'll either work on making a few tweeks to justify her being there, and if she just doesn't have a good place in this RP, I'll choose someone else.
It's also a good point that she probably shouldn't have all of her cards. It would probably be a good idea to give her a limited number of cards for the purpose of this RP. For example, I honestly wouldn't use The Time card because that'd be way too OP.

I don't believe anyone is arguing whether Sakura would be acceptable in this setting. I believe their main concern is whether she starts out with all the cards or not. As it stands, I would prefer if at tops, she started with 4- 5 cards and she can gather more as the RP goes on.

In any case, everyone is accepted so far. Fate Testarossa is pending until the profile is finished.

She is. I didn't know where each character was going to start canonically, so I put her somewhere between the end of episode 70 and the second movie. My bad, I probably should have asked whether each character was starting at the beginning or somewhere else in their canon.
Starting off with about five cards sounds reasonable while getting more along the way sounds fair. I'll get to fixing that.

- Produce blasts of fire, either in flamethrower sprays or thinner beams
- Fly/levitate, although not much faster than running speed
- Project a shield (Her Elements are extremely durable too and can ward off blows in a pinch)
- Summon her CHILD, Kagutsuchi

Kagutsuchi

Kagutsuchi is a dragon roughly the size of a small plane, is very tough and can:
- Fly, much faster then she can
- Spit fire blasts that range from thin "lasers" to explosive fireballs

Brief desc.: A friendly and generally cheerful highschool freshman with an impressive work ethic, Mai takes the idea of responsibility seriously. She hates burdening others with her problems and is likely to suffer in silence while she tries to solve them alone, putting on a happy facade for everyone else. At the same time, she works hard to look after those she thinks need help. Sometimes she can take this sisterly instinct a bit too far, though, and has come off as smothering in the past. This sense of responsibility also forces her into conflicts she would rather avoid - she doesn't like violence, but she also hates the idea of doing nothing when she has her powers.

(Kagutsuchi may need to be nerfed a bit ^^;)
