Powers: Everything about his person was improved with his power's manifestation. His strength is incredible, his intellect is on par with some cerebral metas, and his senses and reflexes are at the pinnacle of sharp. He has just about ALL the abilities reptiles and some birds have (such as venom, wall crawling, etc), and an incredible form of color change that renders him nearly invisible to the naked eye.
I acknowledge that your sheet has already been accepted, but-- do I really need to say it?
<Snipped quote by UrbanEvolution> I acknowledge that your sheet has already been accepted, but-- do I really need to say it?
No. I just summed it up because Allen didn't want me to use the full power and weakness section like I normally would. It's a mini-sheet without a weakness section and, compared to most of the other meta humans we have here, it's not the biggest threat.
I get where you're coming from, but you know full well where the full sheet is.
Physical Appearance: He is very good looking, but he also has a rough appearance kind of like that of a man who as seen war or experienced hardship. His muscle build is very well developed for a person his age and looks to be at the peak of physical perfection.
Attire: He normally wears average clothes such as pants and shirt sleeved shirts. His favorite type of clothing are shirts that show off his southern and catholic pride.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality: Ash is a very religious boy and strongly tied to his catholic faith and is rather conservative. He is very proud of his southern heritage and will not take any crap from people who insult his culture. On the outside he is very direct and has a don’t screw with me attitude and he hates snobs with a burning passion. Ash also is a bit bigoted against northerners especially New Englanders.
He not very accepting of people he finds sinful and won’t back down from speaking his mind. He hates liberals and people that he views as using lies to control people. He is very street smart and is quite intelligent, he just doesn’t flaunt it like a Yankee.
Deep down Ash is slightly insecure with the world around do to being exposed to social media at a young age. He feels like the world is against him for his beliefs and that he has to fight back in order to not be constantly persecuted. He believes that his powers are a gift from God and that he needs to protect those against the corruption and evil of sin.
Skills/Talents: (Similar to hobbies, but refers to the level of skill a character has. For example, a character could like playing violin but isn't very good at it or vice versa.) Prized Possession: (What object does your character value above all else?) Quote(s): “If I had a dollar for every time I heard a liberal talk about how their way would make the world paradise then I’d be a billionaire.” History/Bio: Being a southern born child whose parents were forced to head north because of opportunity, things were rough for Ash. Because of his accent and heritage, many northerners or Yankees as he liked to call them, saw him as being intellectually and culturally inferior. Names like redneck, hick and homophobe were tossed his way and it was these incidents that made him get a nasty view of the world.
His experiances were not too different from many others for in the modern world there is a great amount emotional abuse. Not wanting to have anything to do with the north, Ash looked to his faith as a way of finding solace and comfort. He was sure that his life would be one of a constant battle between the forces of sin and evil.
Ash’s parents tried to have more children, but all of them were stillborn and this made his mother suffer from depression. He prayed to God that he would one day be blessed with a sibling.
But he wasn’t expecting his life to change drastically as it did when his powers activated and he found that he could control every aspect of a swamp. It was fitting since he was a Luisianan and he was able to recreate an environment that he was familiar with. Ash soon discovered that he could also make animals who lived in swamplands do his command and he believed his power to be a gift from God.
With his powers now activated, Ash was accepted to Academy 218 for gifted humans. He was interested in learning to fully control his powers, but he didn’t want to have to deal with Yankees who would treat like he was inferior. So he decided that he would go, but he would stand up for himself and not take any crap from anyone.
As an alias Ash calls himself Swamp King, and on the day of his arrival at the Academy his mother announced that she was pregnant with another child. Ash hoped that this one survived and he would have a young sibling.
Family: he has his parents
Relationships
none at the moment.
Abilities
Power Class: Elemental and Cerebral
Power:
Swamp Mimicry: Ash can makes his body transform into swampland and still maintain bodily functions. He can harden his skin into rock hard mud for extra power and possesses the power to merge his body with any kind of soil and with this ability he can travel great distances at near very fast speeds.
Swamp Manipulation: This power allows Ash to create and manipulate the elements of a swamp and can do such things as shoot great wads of mud of various density from very hard to incredibly gooey. He can also make swamp plants grow and ensnare his enemies.
Swamp Animal communication: Ash can communicate with all kinds of swamp animals.
Eyes of The Swamp: Ash is literally able to see with his mind’s eye every aspect of a swamp. If anything is in the same swampland as him then he can find them with this ability.
Limits: using too much of power can cause him fatigue and if he tires then his powers will falter
Weaknesses/Drawbacks: Anywhere that is very dry or devoid of water is his worst enemy since his powers work much better when he is in a moist environment. Intense heat that can evaporate water is also dangerous to him and chemicals that are deadly to swamp plants and animals are very bad for him as well.
Other: (Put whatever you want here, basically anything that doesn't fit in the other forms)
editted my post, hope it doesn't interfere with anyones plans
Nah, nah, it's fine. In fact, I can work with this.
Anyways, speaking of Michelle, I'm still going to do that adventure to explore the Ruins, except it's gonna tie into the plot and unveil the conspiracy at large. She's gonna be apart of it. Who wants in!?

History/Bio:
"Let me tell you about my life. Unlike a lot of the students here on this island, I didn't get the chance to grow up with a happy family and lead a girly life with shoes and purses and talking about boys. I was born into this world and put in the hands of a father that wasn't my own, some pushover cop who swung in after my real dad high tailed it out of Japan when he found out my mum with pregnant with me. My older brother, Nobu, had joined in some stupid little gang down the street and was being reigned in by my step-dad and the police every other night. The house was alright, I suppose, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, in a quiet neighborhood, but when your big bro is bringing girls over every night to fuck and friends over every day to drink and do drugs, ya it wasn't the greatest place to be.
So, I spent the majority of my time at school. At least there it was quiet and secure and I didn't need to hear those sluts moaning in the next room. I did what you're supposed to do at school, learn and become a responsible young adult. I joined the auto-club in our high school and even got to be the school's driver in the racing league! But, unfortunately, all good things come to an end. My brother got hooked up with the yakuza and before I knew it, there were police asking me questions about every dirty little secret in my life. People at school were stupid and drew conclusions and it basically ruined the half decent reputation I had there. Some people feared me when they found out my big ol' bro was yakuza and avoided me. Others just stopped talking to me. The worst was the teachers treated me like a bloody criminal because these damn blues showed up at the class door to question me every damn day.
So I stopped going to school and started learning at my pace, trying to distract myself from the new girlfriend Nobu had every day. Sooner or later, my brother's friends started forcing me to join them in their escapades. I don't know if I was scared cause they were thugs or if I was excited cause I got to hang out with some of Nobu's hot guy-friends. Regardless, there I was committing small crimes like vandalism and illegal street racing to win Nobu some money here and there. Problem is, I kinda liked it. I hooked up with one of Nobu's friends, we partied, we screwed, we fought, we broke up and that was that.
You might be wondering why my step-dad cop didn't do a thing about this. Well, like I said earlier, he was a pushover. He was too afraid to come clean and do the right thing by kicking in Nobu's bedroom door and arresting him on the spot. But nope, he sat there and literally watched Nobu sell some drugs to some bum and then point a gun at him to get out of 'his' house. Fuck, if I went up to that guy and said 'Boo' he'd probably piss himself. So let's just take my step out of the equation here.
Now, where do my powers come in? That whole night and day, fire and ice thing I can do? Remember when I was talking about that boyfriend I had. Well, I didn't know at the time that he was a metahuman. So when we got close, I mean real close, that son of a bitch was passing Black Fall. Should've seen the day we broke up, his car wasn't much more than a pile of ash afterward. And that was when I found out that I had powers. Sixteen years old and a fire-throwing, ice-shaping bad ass with a chip on her shoulder.
So, with these newly discovered powers, I decided that I should take Nobu's shit into my own hands and try to straighten out my family. My little brother, only three at the time, was already swearing. I mean seriously, the kid's first word was fuck and he was imitating those Nobu's disgusting groans whenever he and his girl got a little loud. So, I waltzed into the house and punched my brother. I was gonna set his pants on fire after but it turns out, I can only use my power in direct light. So that didn't pan out too well.
I got the beating of my life and nobody did a thing. So the second time I tried, I brought him into our back yard at night where I froze the guy's feet to the ground and shot apples off of his head with icicles. I purposefully missed one and put it straight into Nobu's shoulder and threatened him to never come back, 'leave us alone' I said.
He left. When I woke up a day later, it was to a fire alarm. The entire house has been ablaze and the only reason why I'm alive now if because there was a hole in the roof where sunlight could get through. I cleared a path through the flames and went to my little brother's room, the smoke had already gotten him... I then went to my mom's, she wasn't there, maybe outside. So I went outside, and all there was were fire fighters preparing to enter, my step dad talking with more blues and in tears. And there I was, oblivious to what had happened, with a paramedic looking me in the eyes and getting unsettled by the orange glow of them that the sun gave me.
When I learned what had happened, I was wrecked. The weight of my little brother's death was heavy enough. But when I heard Nobu and his band of thugs took mum and lit the house on fire, I was beyond repair. I mean, the fucker actually tried killing his family, he even succeeded a little bit. So he holds a special place in my heart that's hotter than hell during the day and colder than space during the night. So I was lost, I sure as hell wasn't going to live with my step, fuck that. I wandered about, driving some shitty car that was falling apart around me as I went from Southern Japan to Northern and back again. Along the way I got these sexy little jewels in my hands by some extreme body-modifier and some sick tattoos to go with it.
After drifting around the country for a few months, I was coming up on eighteen, I decided enough was enough. I wanted to do something right and smart for a change. I wanted to enroll in school again. But no money meant no education, so I started racing. My piece of shit car ended up becoming a eighty-thousand dollar power house and I went to college for astronomy to learn more about my unique ability. College was college, y'know... Parties, drinks, sex, spring break, thinking you're smarter than the rest, pretty standard stuff. Except my attitude wasn't really meant for it, I may have made a fireball one too many time on campus grounds. My councilor said that the college wasn't a good place for me, and recommended me to a spot off shore called Academy 218, sounds nice doesn't it? He told me it's a place for metahumans to learn. I figured, 'why not?' and now here I am. Been here for a year and it's like a bloody prison to me. It sucks even more that they wouldn't let me take my car. Selling it was like selling a part of my heart. At least I have money now, though."

Abilities
Power Class:
Elemental
Power:
Astral-Elemental Synchronicity - Ryza is attuned to astral patterns of the sun and the moon and draws elemental energies from them both. During the day and when in direct sunlight, Ryza can wield the element of fire. At night and in direct moonlight, she can wield element of ice. When indoors or on a cloudy day/night, Ryza can't draw power from them. She is also sensitive to their temperatures as well, so if she has a ball of fire in her hand, she can easily burn herself. A shard of ice can cause frostbite if she isn't careful. When both the sun and the moon are in the sky and are visible, Shae can wield both elements. The conjuration of the elements comes from Ryza's own physical energy, so the more she uses her power, the quicker she is to get fatigued.
Limits:
- Her physical energy is her capacity to wield her power - Ryza's power if affected by the time of the day
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
- The temperatures of her elements can injure Ryza - Can only work in direct light of either the sun or the moon, therefore, it is unusable indoors - If Ryza is tired, her power is less effective
Other:
- Ryza may or may not have a box of manga underneath her bed - She swears that the dakimakura of some random anime guy isn't her's and that she had no idea how it keeps ending up on her bed... Ryza claims ninjas
Sample Post:
"Explain to me again what we're doing?" Kade asked as Ryza packed some stuff into a back pack. The room was dark and the moonlight was shining through the dorm room window. Ryza's eyes were glowing a low blue in the light.
"Uhh, we're breaking out. What else did you think it was?" the short Japanese girl replied, "Or did you already break a rule and now you have to yin-yang out and be a little angel for the day?"
"Not fair, Ryza." Kade puckered her lips before standing up and looking over all the stuff Ryza was packing. Some clothes. Some bag sof chip. A can of Fanta pop. An MP3 player. Car keys? "You know if you're breaking out, you might want to take something that will last a little longer." the raven haired athlete explained to Ryza.
"Jeese we're not leaving the campus. I'm crazy but not -that- crazy, Kade. We're just... Meeting up with some boys..." Ryza paused, "Aaand we're gonna hang out. In the court yard."
"The court yard... That's gotta be the dumbest place to hang out at this time of night." Kade crossed her arms, "And when are you gonna take that shirt back to Brendan?" she pointed at the shirt sitting at the foot of her own bed.
"Hm?" Ryza looked at the shirt, she shrugged and went back to packing, "I dunno. When it stops smelling like his cologne? Anyways, that's why I'm taking you with me, Kade. All you gotta do is flip us to the inverse and bam! We'll never get cau-"
"No! Nuh-uh! Ain't doin' it!" Kade shook her head violently, "I don't know what you think about the inverse but that place can kill me if I'm not careful, and it will kill me faster if I'm taking a bunch of people with me. Besides, I have a mountain to climb tomorrow and I'm gonna need all the energy I've got for that."
Ryza rolled her eyes, "Ohh fine, be that way. You can keep sleeping and being some shaolin monk or some crap. I'm gonna go have fun and make stories to be told!"
Ryza finished packing and slung the backpack over her shoulder. She walked to the door and opened it while looking back to stick her tongue out at Kade. As she stepped out, she hit something solid. Kade bolted back into her bed. Ryza grunted, "I could've sworn I opened the doo-"
"You did." Mr. Leo said as he looked down at Ryza. "Going somewhere, Ryza?"
Ryza blinked, "Erm... The showers? I mean the bathroom? Er I mean, the laundry... Okay I'll try again some other night..." she turned and shuffled back into her room, head low.
"Not on my watch, 'butterfly'." the broad man said and chuckled as he closed the door for her.
Ryza's eye twitched, "Butter... Fly..." she clenched her teeth, "You win this time, Mr. Leo." Ryza went back to bed after that, a frown on her face.

I figured, 'why not?' and now here I am. Been here for a year and it's like a bloody prison to me. It sucks even more that they wouldn't let me take my car. Selling it was like selling a part of my heart. At least I have money now, though."

But now it's even weirder cause she tries to be that princess that demands respect. She's gotta earn it from me first, but until then, I'm gonna speak my mind and tell her to keep to herself." |
Ruben Tarblatt | Neutral | Something out of some fucked up anime | "Okay, okay so he might be a nice guy or pretty cool. But I don't wanna know. He's creepy. I mean look at him. Or it. Or whatever he... it is... I dunno... Next topic!" |

Maybe I should ask him about his story... On second thought... The guy looks haunted, I can relate, I'll leave him be. He's pretty cool though!"

Asian, Japanese for the trained eye that can discern the differences
Physical Appearance:
Kanajiro looks like a Asian thug, a lowlife not-yet-Yakuza guy who sits around in the bar with his friends drinking 'biru' or 'beer.' And, to tell the truth, that is more or less true. His haircut is very non traditional, and is thuggish even for western standards. At the very least, it looks sort of imposing. His sides are shaven both sides, with a single line running from the start of his hairline into halfway his hair on the right side of his head, which was colored blonde around the line. The top and back are still long and outgrown, often tied back into a ponytail, but not neccesarily always so.
He has characteristical slanted eyes, or 'Chink eyes' as some ruder people have called it. Besides that, he has nothing especially of note in his face, lest you count that his eyebrows are mostly furrowed inwards, giving people the impression that he is permanently angry or frustrated. He has a somewhat defined jawline, but nothing extremely out of the ordinary. His jaw rolls into a rounded chin with a small amount of hair on it, only noticeable if you pay attention to it. The growth is that small that it's not worth it to shave.
Kanajiro's face, as mentioned before, seems to be in a permanently angry looking, or frustrated state. Sometimes this is true, but his bring up is more so the reason than his actual feelings. For that reason his lips are often curled downwards, his eyebrows pointed inwards and his eyes have a tendency to stare people in the eyes. Pair that with Kanajiro's feeling of pride and a 'lifted chin' and it will make him look like a real asshole at times.
His body can be described as skinny, and somewhat muscled, most notably on his arms. However, it is nothing out of the ordinary and the muscles can be attributed to his skinny body. He has a small waist, which move into a slightly wider, but not too wide chest. In short, he's no bodybuilder and will probably never become one either. Kanajiro's skin tone is slightly yellow-ish, which will become noticeably redder in the facial areas when he consumes alcohol. According to him, it's called Asian glow, and apparently it's real.
Attire:
Kanajiro dresses in comfortable-but-fashionable clothes, which generally include 'stylish' sweatpants and skinny jeans, black slip-in shoes, t-shirts and tanktops paired with a jacket or vest of sorts. 2 favored colors of his are black and white, for fashion choices. Something always present in his outfit is a white bandana tied around a belt loop or around his wrist.
Personality
Innate & Outward Personality:
Kanajiro is a 'silent but present' type of person. He prefers to watch things unfold and generally only speaks when he feels like he has something to put in. That's not to say he is introverted, he is often more than happy to go out with a friend to do something, but will often let them do the talking. Girls have called him a 'good listener' if that is any help. Things he can say will generally be short, stupid jokes that don't get laughed at, sarcastic remarks, or friendly comments.
As for more neutral situations, Kanajiro can be quite respectful to superiors, such as teachers, parents or seniors that demand and deserve respect. But for equals or lowers, which is open to interpretation, he can behave in a rude manner, almost cocky sometimes, when he feels they don't give him the respect he deserves. He also pays lots of mind to behavior, in the way that respect towards others is quite important for him. This relates more to physical behavior than more subtle things like body language. As such, he could get very insulted by someone walking into him and making a half assed attempt at an apology.
In negative situations, such as arguments, fights or tense stand offs between rivals, he will be cocky, proud and aggressive. Kanajiro finds it hard to hold back at times, and will often throw the first punch or hit the first weak spot in an argument. Still, he maintains a quiet demeanor, although his face will tell you otherwise. As such Kanajiro is very easy to read, even by someone who is terrible at reading faces - if he is angry, you can definetely tell.
Deep down Kanajiro is more calm, relaxed and wishes to release himself and his pressures more often. His personality and odd quirks make it difficult for him, and the releases that he does have he finds in martial arts, which isn't exactly a release that makes you neccesarily more aggressive or calm. He tries his best to become more sociable, but his quiet nature and aggressive demeanor mean that this is exceptionally hard for him, which has made him even more so silent and aggressive. To him, it's a vicious cycle. As for things not neccesarily related to a positive, neutral or negative situation, Kanajiro is a proud, respectful at times, pessimistic and negative thinking, aggressive looking guy.
Hobbies/Interests:
Kanajiro used to spend his younger years training karate, but discontinued that. As for the here and now, he spends his time working out, practicing his (rusty) skills in martial arts and practicing qiqong (breathing exercises). Besides the sport sides, he also likes going out for a drink, and hanging out where ever. To him, a good party means a warm pub, or a bonfire and some drinks to be had with friends, and not neccesarily a club full of people dancing and jumping around. He also tries to keep up with his Japanese, but that's more of a self proclaimed duty than a hobby, as he loathes practicing it.
Skills/Talents:
He is rusty at his martial arts, but is a decent enough fighter and what he lacks in skill he makes up for in heart and courage. Stupid and dumb courage, but courage none the less. Besides the obvious he is a decently flexible guy, as qiqong also includes stretching and becoming more flexible.
Prized Possession:
His white bandana. It's a reminder of home, given to him by some friends when it became clear he was going to leave.
Quote(s):
“Nani? Are you stupid, or just brave?”
History/Bio:
Kanajiro was born in Osaka, Japan. This 'neon city' was quite beatiful. Atleast, if you are from the West. For locals it was less than perfect, especially in the poorer areas where Kanajiro lived. Kanajiro's family was part of the traditional working class, his mom being a stay at home mom, out of neccesity and not choice, and his father being a car mechanic, it was clear they didn't have much money. Kanajiro would never tell it like it was a bad thing, as he believes it brings strength and character to people. That's why he treats it as a legacy and not a sob story - never the less, poverty pushed them to the edges. Atleast school was afforded, and Kanajiro was quite glad to go there. He shared the school with other children from the same area, and some from middle class areas. It seemed the difference in income mattered little here and Kanajiro got along with pretty much anyone and was an average student. Time passed quietly until he turned 13.
Youth crime, while small in number, was a plague. A system where possessions defined the amount of respect you were due, and no money to buy anything, it was only a question of time before poor youth became involved in minor theft. It would go from snacks while hanging out with friends, to a pair of brand new sneakers. After that, well.. At the very least it was relatively innocent for a 13 year old. It was at that age he started smoking, too, although drinking was still out of the question with very strict laws in place to prevent that. And for once, those laws seemed to be enforced unlike in the west. It was also at this time that his grades got progressively worse, and he spent more time outside of school than in it during school hours.
Hanging out with his friends was his favorite past time, smoking a cigarette together that someone nicked from their dad and a lighter that must've been passed around the group a thousand times. Then someone would've got the brilliant idea to steal something, just to have something to eat. They pulled straws and the unlucky one was Kanajiro, who was sent to steal a couple of bags of chips and some other shit. Kanajiro, being the dumb courageous boy he was, decided to do it regardless of the plentiful cameras hanging around the shop.
Everything went swimmingly until he ran out the store, where he was grabbed in the neck by the thick, stubby fingers of the store owner. In a reflex young Kanajiro released the bags of chips and, by pure accident.. or luck, whichever you want to call it, he managed to crystallize his own right hand, prompting the shop owner to flinch and release him. This sent Kanajiro back on his feet, and back to his house.
Well, it was quite hard for a 13 year old boy to come up with a reason that his hand was crystallized. Actually, that was probably hard even for a 40 year old wise man. So telling mom and dad was out of the question, and his 12 year old sister would be no help to him. Neither the dog. The answer was to run into his room, lock the door and shatter the crystals. Taking countless hours to even attempt to shatter them, the resulting stress and violent crying seemed to somehow 'deactivate' his newfound power, and decrystallized the hand. Great. When he finally got out of his room he told his concerned father and mother that he got kicked in the nuts by a friend. “Perfect explanation.”
Between then and his 19th birthday he did more questionable stuff, and never really looked too much into the crystals. It seemed to be an isolated accident, and it never really happened again. Slowly he repressed it into the back of his mind, and at some point he even started thinking it never happened and he was just remembering a dream or something. During the years he dropped out of school and got involved in a youth gang, which was indirectly related to the local yakuza's. It was nothing bad, they just hung around, fought other gangs, drove loud and way too expensive pimped out cars around (he never owned one) and visited clubs. Oh, and they scared people. It seemed to be the main concern to the locals, the fact that they looked scary.
If it weren't for another accident with his power, he probably would've lived a short and unhappy live, dying in a ditch with a knife in the side of his neck, stabbed by a rival. Instead, he was attacked by a rival group when he was walking home at about 4AM after hanging out with friends. He got beat up, badly, and got kicked into a ditch where he was supposed to be kicked some more when his entire body seemed to crystallize. Ofcourse, that was rather strange, so the rivals ran off and left Kanajiro to figure it out on his own. It would've helped if he had any idea what to google for, but ultimately after a lengthy search he ended up at 'Academy 218' and a keyword, namely 'Meta-humans'. Not being American, he had never even heard of Meta-humans, or their powers, and had always disregarded them as advertisements for super heroes, or at a later age even American propaganda to scare them. But now he was one of them. And he was going to apply to Academy 218.

Abilities
Power Class:
Elemental.
Power: Crystallokinesis
The crystal formed by Kanajiro is very strong, able to withstand a mans punch, a metal blade swung at it, a drill drilling into the crystal and a truck driving into a wall of it, depending on the thickness and structure of the wall. Furthermore the crystal is highly resistant to electricity, fire and earth, given crystals' natural properties of having a high insulation of electricity in it's solid form, a high melting point and a very strong structure, comparable to diamond (which is a crystal on it's own).
Currently Kanajiro has got the ability to cover areas of his body in crystal, most prominently his fists, feet and forehead, which are reasons for his combat style to have evolved as it did - a good offense means you don't need a defense, according to Kanajiro. In it's current state it is a force multiplier for attacks, meaning that attacks that connect while the crystal is activated will hit harder. As per strength, a well connected hit with crystal will have enough force to break bones, although the balance disrupture caused by the added weight might make it hard to properly connect.
Future abilities:
- Crystallizing items, and at a higher skill level, other people partly or fully by touch. In practice, this is more 'encasing' them, rather than turning them into crystal, but in theory there is nothing really stopping the power from entering holes in the body such as ears, nose, mouth or other cavities. - Covering his own body in crystal fully, as if it were an armor. - At a higher skill level, allows one to crystallize air, to 'shape' it according to the users will. This would require a lot of skill and concentration, as well as energy.
Most, if not all of these abilities are going to progress in capability, potency and strength over the time spent in the academy, and collaboration or practice with other students might even lead to new combinations.
Kanajiro seems to posses and has activated a gene in the Hanamoto family that allows him to crystallize his own body, and given enough training or practice, also external items or even humans. There has been little documented cases of this power manifesting itself, let alone at an age as early as Kanajiro. Although there are no documented cases, there are suggestions of this power appearing all over the world, at it's earliest in Russia long before history was being documented. The little proof of this that there is came in the form of crystallized shards, and nearby crystallized bodies found deep in the earth. The bodies were still intact due to the lack of oxygen within the crystals, meaning the body was preserved almost perfectly.
Following the natural migrations of the human race, the power would ultimately manifest in Japan and stay there for times to come. Some small legends of Japanese history would document crystal samurai, a myth revolving around a samurai that didn't fight in metal armor, but in a crystal body. Ofcourse, the locals would disregard this, it was merely folklore right? Turns out it wasn't.
The power manifests through a gene that has to be both present and activated, meaning that it can be seen as a very specific gene that runs in a specific family. And just being part of that family isn't enough to guarantee the power. For that reason it's still unclear how the gene specifically activates, and in Kanajiro's case it seems to be situations where he experienced stress, although the activation might be permanent and he could use the power at will. Regardless, this means the power is inheratory in the same way a disease can be, and it could skip a single generation, or even hundreds of generations without anyone activating the power. The real interesting part is how the gene managed to survive, or rather the bloodline has survived.
Limits:
The conversion of air to crystal is a power demanding conversion, and demanding on Kanajiro's body. While less demanding when he is crystallizing something close to himself, such as air around him, it would get progressively harder the further along he was trying to crystallize something through a crystal vessel. Furthermore, the crystalization requires either direct contact, or contact through other crystals. It's not possible for him to, say, crystallize someone just by looking at them. Although Kanajiro wouldn't mind being able to do that, at times.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:
While strong to physical attacks, such as water, fire, wind or earth, it's not indestructible. If applied with enough force, an attack could potentially break through crystal although it would require tremendous power for that to happen.Another weakness is the vulnerability to 'wave' movements, such as sound or kinetic forces. These type of movements are able to break the crystal merely by 'shaking' it, shattering or breaking it by disrupting the molecular ties that keep it ionic, making it revert to a soft and conducting status.

Sample Post:
Kanajiro was laying on his back, one hand casually tucked behind his head, the other laying on his stomache. His right leg was placed over his other, wiggling his foot gently up and down while he sucked on his toothpick. America was so boring. The rooms were boring. The view was boring. Atleast the beach looked nice, he would give the academy that at least. “Maybe I should go there, get out of this fuckin' prison..” he said, to nobody but himself. He called it a prison, but to him, it was more like a place to escape to. It seemed better than rotting away in that stinkhole Osaka. Nothing there but poverty and shitty clubs.
“SLAP!” A flat hand landed on Kanajiro's face, then dragged over into his hair and towards the back. That was disrespectful of him. His family still lived there, and they weren't bad. He should probably send them a card, if anything. “Hai, let's go then.” he mumbled to himself, getting up slowly and getting dressed in black sweatpants and a white-and-blue sweater. Slipping into his slip-on's, he left the room and headed for the academy shop, to spend what little money he had remaining after he bought a sandwich on the boat. 4 dollars for a fucking sandwich.. whatever.
Before he realised it, he had already arrived throughout the masses of students that were arriving, going to class, going to their room and going god knows where. Probably some were kissing in the stairwell, and others were kissing below the belt in the toilets. Kanajiro had gone to school long enough to know that happened more often than you'd care to know. Pushing himself forwards towards the shop, he entered it and was overwhelmed with ''218'' merchandise. “N-nani?” he said softly to himself, wondering why the academy had more merchandise than the Yankees. All stands were browsed carefully and he took a careful look at all the cards before picking one that looked somewhat cheerful. He also grabbed a pen, as he didn't have one. Moving to the counter, he dumped it all onto the conveyor belt and waited for his turn. As soon as he was up, the lady started talking to him. Something about a nice card, who he was writing to and some other stuff. “Um, home. What is.. umm.. the price?” Granted, his English was mostly self taught by sneaking into cinemas with his friends and watching subtitled movies, and so it wasn't that good. He could quote Jackie Chan quite well, making up for his English skills. After he'd paid he'd continue on his way to the beaches, wanting to write in relative calmth and not this.. mess of a human blob that was the academy hallways.
As he arrived at the designated beach lodge, he took it upon himself to plant his behind in a comfortable chair. Leaning back, he'd start writing on the card in Japanese. 'Dear mom and pop, I am alive. Also, the academy is large. I like it here, it is like Osaka schools except it's larger. There are also more people. Say hi to Ikari, and tell her to behave. Love, Kanajiro.'It was short, and it served it's purpose. He would give it to whoever worked at the shipping office later, for now it was time to kick back and enjoy the ocean view.

I'm not a mod, but you never actually, like, describe your character's power. Like, where it came from is cool and all but what does it do? How can he use it?
