@chukklehed I don't think so I think Caits and myself were considering adding some possible like as an extra thing But it wouldn't be a damage source Heathcliff used his shield to bash, but I believe that was not a system skill and therefore not effective in damage, what it did do was knock Kirito away
Ok If you approved then that is different But, throwing a rock was different, since there was a skill activated, <<Blade Throwing>> or other names it goes by It required the pre-motion before throwing
Also hitting without skill activation works, but it has very little effect/damage This was the problem many beginners had when starting SAO
Anyway, with the shields, you probably could parry, but I am unsure about any attacks with significant damage. Maybe stun type abilities and slowing them with bashes or something.

That still wouldn't make any sense, because Blade Throwing is a learned skill, and Kirito was level one at the time. If he can do that, then why can't someone else use a shield bash skill with a pre-motion?
Masae is above average height compared to most schoolgirls around her age, measuring at 168 cm (5'6"), and moderate weight of 61 kg (135 lbs). She dislikes using eye contacts, finding it irritating; therefore she wears glasses. While her sight issues could easily be dealt with even after the game locks down, she still prefers to wear them out of habit and fashion.
Biography: In Funabashi, Japan, Masae was born as the first daughter of the Nagayama family, two years before her younger brother Yasu (永山 野洲). Her father was a young professor in one of the universities at Kashiwa, which they quickly moved, going away from the suburbs. She was technically one-eighth Korean – from one of her grandfathers, who was the runner of a Pachinko parlor in the bustling city of Tokyo – though besides that, there was nothing that seriously stood out from her family.
Masae looked strikingly similar to her father: they both wore glasses (Masae didn't start wearing them until eight, however), had the same amber-colored eyes, and while their hair color was different, they both had curvy and slightly messy hair styles. Born into a generation where the world was slowly changing, Masae was able to experience those innovations personally; she was just going through her middle years of grade school before they were suddenly using tablet computers and all sorts of strange technology. Her professor dad wasn't a fan of it, believing that the replacement of the new of the old was washing away cultural values...which was where they were different in terms of belief. Generally he tried to avoid conversation with the young girl, not willing to restrict her life despite his discontent.
Masae immediately established herself as a model leader in her class once she entered junior high school; like many of her peers, she eventually became interested in video games and quickly made herself as a fairly intelligent student who cared about her classmates. She also had a way with talking to others, and usually was the leader in certain affairs. In fact, she was vice-class president for 7th grade and class president for 8th, as well as a runner for one of the smaller chess clubs in school, something that she likes to claim as an achievement.
When SAO came out during the middle of her last year in junior high, Masae managed to persuade her parents to take at least an one hour trip to downtown Tokyo just before dawn, not to mention the general traffic congestion there, to buy one of the non-beta versions there, to her luck (or lack of it), she was able to get the Nerve Gear and the game #8097, just getting back home to play it in the afternoon.
Personality: Masae is a girl that is highly attentive to physical appearance and personal credibility; she usually does her best to appear organized, and while she doesn't necessarily get all the perfect grades, she knows how to look smart. She is very much an "ends justifies the means" leader. As long as she can get the work done in the most efficient way possible, a few small sacrifices could be made. Masae is assertive for the most part, but her understanding of others know when not to cross over someone's lines.
Secretly, Masae is also bossy and selfish; if someone is working with her, it is fairly certain that she would try to sweet-talk so she could get the bigger part of the pie, and she would try to find the best way to "overthrow" someone if she isn't commanding something, feeling that her skills are being underused.
In her more casual part of life, Masae likes to sketch, though she usually likes sketching people more than landscapes. And if she's not sketching, she likes writing about her own fantasy stories (being a sort of closet-otaku in a way).
What do you mean by learned skill? It is a skill you can equip at the start like any of the other skills available at the start My point was there was no obvious pre-motion of a shield attack in SAO So unless Caits says there will be shield skills, there won't be an attacking motion for shields
@Thanatos No worries By the way, if you want, I've got a character that can be your grandchild, but can we discuss a few things, which may require the change of the bio a bit?

Sure, we can do that. I have no problem changing my bio.
I am so sorry! I feel like a jerk for not getting my CS up yesterday. I am 100% sure it will be up today. Probably this morning after I eat some pancakes (God...I love pancakes). Sorry!
