Jaakuna Sawada, The Sundance Kid VS Kapora, The Counter
After Shin’s fight ended(brutally mind you), Jaakuna got a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. Not as bad as when he saw that Bandaged Man fight, but definitely up there. There was just this ominous feeling he got when he looked at who he was set to fight. This guy looked like the devil’s reject. A skin head in every sense of the word. His bald head had so many tattoos that Jaakuna couldn’t make out his face at parts. When the numbers were called, Jaakuna got up. He shook his head, slapping himself on the cheek a couple of times, and proceeded to walk to the fighting ring. He looked back at Fujitora and the others with a cheeky grin. It was false, but he didn’t want them to know that he was in a bad way. By the time he turned his head and faced forward, Jaakuna was inside it and the force field came up.
The bald man was about 6'5" in height, and his build made him all the more intimidating. He wa wearing a brown coat however it lacked the sleeves, exposing his massive muscles. Though it seemed to be just for show, the fact that he was here debunked the idea of a pushover. He kept his eyes closed as he entered the field, only to open them in order to peer down at his shorter foe. To him, Jaakuna didn't seem like much, small fry as the big lads would say around here. As usual, Kapora didn't say anything and simply took the typical battle position. Because his opponent was shorter and seemed to lack experience give his age, he'd simply gesture the teen to come at him first. It was the minimum he could do before going full berserk.
”You’re going to regret that, Baldo! Jaakuna said taking stance. Rushing forward in a dash, Jaakuna gained a meter per step, his eyes were fixated solely on the tall, bald man. As he was just three meters away from the man, Jaakuna jumped off his left foot and proceeded to half-flip his body. Airborne, Jaakuna’s body was in a position where his right leg was leveled horizontally, but his left leg was up in a vertical way. When gravity would bring Jaakuna down naturally, he would bring his left leg down for an axe-kick that, if successful, would come down on the top of the bald man’s shiny cueball of a head.
With Jaakuna's insult toward Kapora's appearance, the tall man didn't appear as calm as he used to. Exhaling from his nose, he saw the arrogant young boy rush at him without much thought put into his actions. Keeping his stance, he waited for his opponent to strike, and when he did he'd react. Taijutsu, and pretty strong too, but evidently not too difficult to anticipate. He'd have to jump pretty high to execute a damaging blow like this, making this all too easy for Kapora to block. Simply lifting his right arm up in a defensive way, Jaak's leg would hit against the chain wrapped around the man's arm. At first, he'd barely feel anything other than the hard metal, but he'd quickly acknowledge pain as spikes emerged from the chain, stabbing the leg in multiple areas. They weren't very long, barely piercing the boy's muscles, but long enough to cause worrying bleeding. The bald man would then proceed to preparing his free arm for a strike in react to what Jaakuna would do in response to this defensive maneuver.
Feeling those metal spikes dig mildly deep into his left shin, Jaakuna endured the pain that it had caused him. By bending his upper-body back just slightly, Jaakuna’s leg would tug off of the metal chain spikes that had dug into its flesh, blood dripping onto the ground from where Jaakuna’s still airborne body was. Jaakuna extended both arms towards the ground as his body would then be pointed head-first. By doing a simple handstand followed by backflip, Jaakuna gained a two meter distance between him and the Bald Man.
I’m going have to be a bit careful when attacking. Those chains could cause a lot of problems real quick. Jaakuna looked at the Bald Man for a few seconds before taking off in another forward run. As he ran, Jaakuna’s arms raised. His hands would form three hand seals and not anymore than a second later, his chakra began to build around him, showing a radiant golden form. Jaakuna had activated his Ryusei(Meteor) technique. When he used it before, there was smoke surrounding the ring, so no one knew who he was, but it was undoubtedly everyone knew exactly who Jaakuna was now. Jaakuna stepped off his right foot this time, Jaakuna motioned his body in a horizontal position, arms extended outward in front of him. Accelerating his body at fast speeds, Jaakuna, at this point, was like a speeding, golden bullet poised to strike at the Bald Man’s central core.
Some special ninjutsu was being used, something that made the kid glow and made his chakra levels spike. Kapora's first guess would be something akin to a power boost or an element coat, but it didn't look like any element he had seen. Most of the audience likely knew what this was but the bald man wasn't too savvy on those. Nonetheless, with Jaakuna attempting a strike, the man's concealed arms weaved hand seals in such a way that it didn't actually seem visible while behind the coat. With that done, both his exposed hands were coated with a thick layer of earth and rock, but he didn't strike just yet.
With Jaakuna's augmented speed and the extra weight in Kapora's hands, the man wasn't arrogant enough to think he'd deliver a hit so easily. Instead, he'd let Jaakuna attack, only to have his arm be caught at the level of the forearm by two massive hands coming out of his coat. He was holding on tight with his naturally high strength and the power of two arms, so he could deliver a downward punch with his enhanced earth hands. Needless to say, this kind of punch could break a few bones.
Just seconds before his attack would get blocked, Jaakuna brought back one of his arms closer to his chest while the other would get grabbed by the Bald Man’s large hand. Just as the earth-covered fist would come down towards Jaakuna’s upper-back, Jaakuna would slightly twist his body to turn about ninety degrees to the point that he was now facing the large fist coming down at him. At this point, Jaakuna increased the circulation of chakra in his arm that was to his chest, but solely focusing the increase at his own fist. Then, as quickly as he could, Jaakuna extended that arm vertically as it met with the Bald Man’s own. Though the chakra surrounding Jaakuna’s fist was a major increase of what it was before, it still took all Jaakuna had to just keep it at bay. It was a struggle just to keep the man’s raw strength from crushing Jaakuna’s sternum.
With hits clashing, Kapora's earth fist would collide with a Kekkei Genkai enhanced counter strike. They both proved to deliver strong blows. Forcing his fist in deeper, the earth coating would quickly shatter, destroying the enlarged fist in the process and letting the man grab Jaakuna's wrist in the process now that his hand was free. With the chain wrapped on that same arm, the lower end of that chain wrapped on his palm would inevitably impale Jaak's wrist in this circumstance. Two hands on one arm and one hand deeply planted in the other, Jaak only had his feet to get away from this next strike: Kapora had his free hand deliver an earth enhanced punch to Jaak's torso level all the while never letting go of his arms.
With both hands being held, one just being held in position and the other by the wrist impaled by those same metal spikes, Jaakuna silently cursed himself as he fell for the same trick yet again. How could he be so stupid? He needed to think on his feet now because they were the only thing left for him to use since both hands were not available at the moment. Then, just as he was racing possible plans through his mind, Jaakuna saw the free arm the Bald Man coming down to his torso. Using quick thinking once more, Jaakuna used the only thing he had left free and it was his legs. By extending one of his legs, Jaakuna expelled fire chakra from it as it would clash with the fist that was coming down. It was a linear, thin line of fire, but the speed and strength of it would be enough to not only melt away the earth covering his hand, but the sudden surprise would probably catch him off guard. Using that advantage, Jaakuna would break free from the hold, ripping his wrist flesh from the chains and the grip of his other hand and rolling a meter and a half away from Baldo.
The fire would indeed consume layers of the earth and the force expelled had indeed, derived the punch, allowing Jaakuna to use his enhanced strength to free himself from Kapora's grip. Although the man was angry, he didn't act out of irrationality just yes, the fact that he had a chunk of flesh and a good amount of blood in his hand was a good indicator. After all, people kill themselves by gashing their arms that way and leaving large wounds, how unfortunate that he couldn't rip a little more of the forearm to leave Jaakuna with so little time. Not that he had much without treatment. With this in mind, the brute knew his prey would have a harder time, allowing him to collect himself a little more. All four of his arms crossed and waiting.
Facing his opponent, Jaakuna was now cautious in getting close. He now knew that any close-range attack wouldn’t work out. In addition to that, the two extra arms meant that Jaakuna had half the amount of luck on his side, so he would have to play it long range for a bit. At least until he was able to figure out this guy’s fighting style and pinpoint the weakness in it. Surely a guy like him had a weakness somewhere. It was only a matter of finding it and being able to poise an attack at the right moment.
“Fire Release: Shadow Clone Jutsu!” Jaakuna yelled as he formed a tiger hand seal and in a poof of smoke, two shadow clones of Jaakuna appeared on the left and right of him. As all three of them ran towards Baldo, fire chakra began to surround them all. In that same instant, they all ran around Baldo, surrounding him in a triangle formation. All the while they did that, they were forming five hand seals and the last one being tiger,
“Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!” Each of them said simultaneously, inhaling, and then exhaling three giant fireballs at Baldo. At the range they were fired at, the escape window was very limited.
The boy was about a meter away, making things all too simple for the bald man. The chain on his forearm would unwrap itself almost by itself before being hurled toward the clones as they were birthed, pursuing a whipping motion to catch them as they would try to place themselves in a tactical manner. They were clones after all, making the job not as difficult as actually hitting the kid. Nonetheless, their attempt to make fireballs would either be foiled before they could even get a correct position or at the moment they'd actually have to make hand seals. To top it off, Kapora's lower hands wouldn't be left idle, slacking wasn't in his nature. Though as he kept his upper arms active, his lower were slightly slower in making hand seals. But it wasn't hard to get this technique done, as the Earth Dragon emerged from the man's right. A giant, serpent-like dragon of earth and rock sponging any stray fireball his whip would possibly miss. It would however simply surround the man for the time being as its durability served as a good shield.
One clone was done away before even reaching the bald man and the other was done away from the whip, all there was left was the real Jaakuna who had used the Great Fireball Jutsu, but it was blocked by a massive Earth Dragon as it acted as a shield. Jaakuna’s eyes lit up with anger. Each attempt at an offense was met with a stronger defense. Nothing Jaakuna did was working. He was almost at his breaking point.
Fuck it. Jaakuna would abandon physical attacks. He would try something else.
“You must be pretty afraid to take a chance. You’re not doing much other than blocking. What’s the matter? Are you afraid that if you leave that spot, you’ll mess up? Come on baldo! Come at me. Show me that you’re more than just a fucking retarded blockhead.” Jaakuna had resorted to name calling. Truly, he was at the end of his ropes.
Jaakuna was getting provocative, something that quickly irritated Kapora. The idea that his opponent will soon become weak and quickly die from blood loss wasn't going to be strong enough to resist finishing the job himself. He'd gesture his dragon to charge into the young lad with it mouth open, ready to crush him in a gargantuan mass of heavy stone and dirt. All the while the man gritted his teeth while preparing a whipping strike toward the direction Jaakuna would try to dodge if he were wise enough to not directly engage with the monolith striking him.
It’s working. Jaakuna’s plan to get that guy off his game just slightly was working as seen by his facial expressions when Jaakuna reverted to his profanity. It was also seen as how Mr. Clean had gestured his Earth Dragon to go at Jaakuna, mouth opened and poised to strike at The Sundance Kid. He cracked a smile as he took a stance with his left leg forward, knee bent, and the right leg straight supporting his core. He extended both arms in widespread, straight way, each having fire chakra expelled from it. One arm was facing the dragon, to which the chakra would go inside the dragon and reduce it to rubble in a matter of seconds. The other arm, was pointed towards whipping chain to at least deflect it. Ideally, it would be sent back at Mr. Clean at the same speed(or higher) than he himself had whipped it.
With the earth charging at Jaakuna heated and broken, the most heated parts which were the center of his attacks charged in his direction, following the monster's momentum as it crumbled. Most of it was rubble, but the most affected was lava charging right at Jaak accompanied by a huge amount of dust and random debris befalling him. Kapora became red in anger, how did this brat dare to do such a ridiculous act? He kept insulting the man by trying to prove his worth toward his favorite ability, and it frustrated him. Because Jaakuna was surrounded by smoke and rubble, Kapora couldn't see him yet, but it didn't prevent him from being on his guard, making sure every side of his being was covered. Perhaps his opponent was dead anyway, so he refrained from charging in.
Jaakuna didn’t anticipate the amount of debris around. He dodged a good number of them. A few of the chunks of earth would hit his body, but it didn’t do much damage. Over the course of a half of a minute, he had gained a good couple of bruises on his shoulders.
Amidst the rubble and dust gathering around Jaakuna’s general location, this provided the Sundance Kid with the perfect opportunity. Since Mr. Clean wasn’t coming at him, it provided him a chance to finally get a hit on him and not the other way around. From the smoke and debris, there came a single kunai knife with a exploding tag attached to the end of it. Jaakuna had thrown it towards one of Kapora’s legs. It didn’t matter if it stuck into his leg or if it was deflected. Jaakuna had made it so that upon physical contact, the next three seconds would ignite an explosion.
Let’s see him get out of dodge soon enough for this.Things were getting quiet, about thirty seconds passed. Good, he was going to waste his time planning things as his arm didn't get any better. But then a shadow traveled through the smoke and deformed the cloud, a kunai was emerging. Using his whip, he'd easily slap the singular kunai, only to have the paper bomb revealed as it flipped to the side. Kapora's eyes widened in surprised, his lower arms forming hand seals but they weren't for defense. He only had his trusty chain to defend himself. The paper bomb seemed ready to explode, and as such he'd simply pinch a part of the chain with his thumb and index in order to spin the thing like a fan. This wouldn't prevent him from being pushed back, but it would prevent the hot flames to hit sensitive spots of his body and debris from piercing him. Though, the shock would easily destabilize the spinning motion, damage was minimal and the pushback got him closer to the wall but away from the small cloud of smoke created from the kunai.
He exhaled from his nose, losing patience once more. But once again, he couldn't see his enemy, and he wasn't going to charge in without an enemy in sight. He was completely capable of doing it if there enemy had an obvious trap set up, but someone of his level wouldn't blindly go in darkness.
Whatever happened, Jaakuna heard an explosion, which surely meant that the exploding tag went off at some point. Jaakuna knew that eventually the smoke gathering from the explosion and the previous debris would fade away. So, if he wanted to get any sort of attack to make its way to Kapora without even the slightest chance of him catching wind of it first, then Jaakuna had to act fast. And besides, the blood dripping from his wrist, while just drops, would eventually be enough to cause Jaakuna a lot of problems. As Jaakuna looked at the smoke around him, he noticed that it was about fifty percent visibility if one were to be just right outside of it, so Jaakuna just had to assume that he had just a minute before it would clear. Given that, Jaakuna had maybe two or three chances to land a surprise attack.
"You must be getting annoyed. Can't see me, so your only choice is to wait for me to come to you." Jaakuna's voice traveled through the smoke and to Kapora,
"I bet you want to just come in here and join me. Why don't you? I'm obviously not strong enough to take you on in a direct manner." He was trying to bait him, play to whatever sense of pride he had or whatever prevented Kapora from charging in head-first. Little did he know, Jaakuna had created two Fire Shadow Clones when he was talking, both of them spread throughout the smoke-covered area. Should he fall for the bait, fireballs would be launched at him at close range. Now, Jaakuna simply waited for him to take it or not.
"Heh, heh. Brat. Weakling too, speak a lot. You die anyway." The man spoke for the first time, but with a strange accent and broken language. A smirk formed on his face but it was to cover the anger held within. He was surely very pissed, especially when he'd hear distinct footsteps in synch with shadows forming in the slowly degrading smoke in the air. With his jutsu started a few moments ago, his four hands were now equipped with earth enhancement, of course it didn't prevent him from using his chain as he kept it over the earth layer. He charged at the first shadow, the shadow clone closest to his right and went full speed to deliver a powerful punch. The earth enhancement would be a marvelous defense in case of a counter attack, but he thought of it more as a useful finisher. Either way, he had four enhanced earth fists that could foil Jaakuna's plans at any time.
He purposely let the chain drag down and stretch toward his previous position. He was keen on trapping his opponent if he were to do something fishy from afar. But right now, all he wanted was some good ol' clone bashing.
“You think so? You’re funny. You should be a comedian.” Jaakuna said, knowing fully that Kapora had stepped into the smoke-covered area and had done away with one of the clones. It mattered not since the other one would ignite a flaming ball towards him at fast speeds. Little did he know, however that Jaakuna was coming from behind him, kunai with exploding tag in hand and he threw it. At that same time that he did, the fireball would reach him. Either he blocked the kunai or the fireball, but whatever would happen, Kapora would have to react quickly.
The first clone was easy to handle, however the other one seemed to cause trouble. Kapora knew of its location since he had detected the shadows from the get go, but the fire ball was bigger and faster than expected. In a last minute attempt, he used his two left arms as large shields as they held the enhanced earth ability. The fireballs would destroy most of it and leave the man with burnt jeans and shoulders red.
Kapora's rage and impatience had brought him in this ambush, however, and he took a nice stab to the back along with an explosive tag explosion. This propelled him forward and damaged his back pretty badly, third degree burns and ribs taking a toll. Luckily, it was only an explosive tag, and on his back. Then again on a member wouldn't be too bad for him given his unique attributes. He was hurting, but that just fueled his rage. As he got up, he could see Jaakuna's shadow, and luckily for Kapora, the stealth chain was going to be of great benefit. Since Kapora had taken a direct shot, he of course acted as though he was weakened, though not entirely false, his rage compensated. As such, it would be quite sudden when the chain would rapidly slash to Jaakuna's ankles. When hit, it'd wrap around the member and of course impale it. Making the teen his little pet.
Jaakuna surely felt the pain of the chains wrapped around his ankles. While the pain was there and surely it was evident that Jaakuna was in a bad way, this pain didn’t even come close to the anger and wrath his mother put in him some times. That woman can make even the manliest man feel like a little girl.
“Is that all you got, Baldo!” Jaakuna said, him trying to antagonize Kapora more.
“Your chains feel like rabbit kisses compared to the lectures my mom gives me.” Jaakuna, through all of the pain, laughed loudly, aimed towards Kapora.
This is good. My words anger him. I can use this.Kapora breathed hard, both from the pain and the anger. Though, he could look on the bright side, he still held a large advantage on his opponent. He wasn't bleeding out (burn wound) nor did he have enough ninjutsu to be wasting as much as his opponent. The benefits of being more physical oriented came from there, supposedly. With an endeavor coming only from spite, he pulled with all his might on the chain, the grip tightening and the blades slashing through the muscles and tendons connected to the foot. Jaakuna was being pulled at full speed toward the man. All the while, as he went through the dust, he could see Kapora weaving very familiar hand seals. As he quickly weaved them, the same dragon from before emerged from the earth before Kapora, shielding him from a possible counter and launching itself directly to his now submitted opponent. He was going all in, and he was taking no prisoners.
The rough texture of the ground scraped the backside of Jaakuna's body as he was being dragged by Kapora's raw, physical strength. JAakuna couldn't tell exactly what was in front of him, but soon a brown dragon rose from the earth like it had done before and just as it had done before, it came forth to Jaakuna with a ferocity that was fear-inspiring. Not knowing what else to do, Jaakuna formed hand seals.
Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Jaakuna said, expelling fire chakra from his mouth. This time, instead of it taking a fireball shame, Jaakuna’s jutsu would now take the shame that of flowing flames, like a flamethrower. The flames would make partially graze the rough, rocky exterior of the dragon and partially make their way into the mouth of the dragon. Parts of it would burn away, chunks of rock and earth dropping out. This was still going on as Jaakuna had been pulled by Kapora.
Once again, a mass of rock befell the lad, but this time he didn't have a means to dodge it, allowing some pretty nasty debris to hit his already damaged body. But it didn't stop Kapora from ripping the boy out of the dust cloud and drag him in for a finishing earth enhanced punch to the torso. Kapora was going to get what he wanted, crushing that boy for the outrageous things he had said.
Airborne now, Jaakuna saw the rock fist come in for a final punch(Jaakuna’s guess). This was his only chance. Jaakuna, with the a dose of his last bit of chakra, surrounded himself in Meteor once more. The aura would not only be strong enough to break Kapora’s grip of Jaakuna’s ankles as the enhanced strength allowed Jaakuna to wiggle out of it, but at the very moment the fist towards him, Jaakuna forced that fist down with precise movements thanks to his capoeira. When the fist would hit the ground, Jaakuna half flipped and as if mirroring his first move, he delivered a hard, all-that-he-had axe kick to Kapora’s skull. All the while, Jaakuna felt immense pain shooting through that same leg. If successful -- which Jaakuna had high hopes that it was -- it would pack enough force to send Kapora’s head crashing into the ground and make a nice head-shaped hole into it.
Hopefully this does it.As the kick came down on Kapora's head, Jaakuna started to smile widely as a large thud sound could be heard when Kapora's large head crashed into the ground. His large body was facedown while his butt was up, arms at the side on top of each other.
"Now stay down baldo." Jaakuna would land over Kapora's head, limping and eventually falling to one knee. He was battered up. His back scraped up like a scratching post, his ankles so cut up that he might just had torn his ACL and MCL, and to make matters worse, Jaakuna was hungry as fuck. Jaakuna made his way back to where the others were in a slow limp. It was amazing that Jaakuna was able to walk at all. From the cuts on his ankles to already existing injuries, Jaakuna was probably on his last leg.
As he arrived to the bench where the others were at, Jaakuna gave them a cheeky grin.
"Now how's that for a match?" Jaakuna confidently boasted about his win,
"Shin, yours was impressive, but you know everyone loves the Sawada's Meteor. GWAHAHA!" He laughed as he took a seat between Paneru and Shin, setting his back against the wall wincing in pain.
With the match finished and Jaak advancing forward to a much darker fate, the announcer proudly presented the current status of the tournament, warning everyone that they were half way already. But they didn't lose any time, the field would fix itself and the next two fighters would be selected. Fujitora would begin to feel a certain tension within him. He didn't want to fight that Psychopath, at least not yet, but at the same time he wanted to know who it was. Plus it was better him than the kids he'd have running around, barely making it through a couple of jutsu and a doll. As exasperated as it made him feel, he was still proud.
The first selective orb fell on the bandaged psycho in question while the other lingered. This moment was the most stressing or everyone, but it'd eventually fall on a tattooed man who seemed to have been in Gozoboro's team as well. He seemed confident, despite knowing the cruelty of the man he was going to face. This was probably going to be one hell of a show.
