Shin VS. Suzuki

With the five minute break finally over, the announcer signaled that the next round had started and the winners from the first fights were to face each other to determine the best. It started off with the first two winners: Shin and Suzuki. The dark hair woman walked up to the center of the arena, a grin reeking arrogance on her face as she already considered her opponent to be a lost cause. To start off, he was a man and more than likely straight, but he was also young and an easy prey for a viper like her. She'd wink at him once more, hoping to get an amusing reaction out of the teen.

Unlike his previous fights so far, Shin lacked his confident and cheeky grin as he entered the arena. In fact he seemed oddly nervous and worried. Aside from the initial eye contact he made with Suzuki as he entered, he attempted to bring his gaze anywhere else. After a moment he looked over his shoulder at his squad. I don't want to have to kill this woman, he thought, wishing he could say it out loud. Jaakuna probably knew him well enough to already be aware of his inhibition, but Paneru and Fujitora could figure it out quickly enough. Especially once the fight would actually start.

He returned his gaze to Suzuki. She was an attractive woman, which only made it worse. Punching her in the face was out of the question already. How am I supposed to win without hurting her? Shin began thinking, his nervous expression changing to become more serious as he contemplated. She has already seen some of my techniques. She might not fall for my Jade Crystal Prison technique. That is probably the only way I can beat her... Shin closed his eyes and let out a sigh. Only after he opened them did he get in his fighting stance. "Ladies first?" he offered, partially because he never liked attacking first and mainly because he wouldn't want to successfully strike her if he could avoid it.

A buldge of veins formed on Fujitora's forehead as Shin's behavior was beyond lacking and ridiculous for a chuunin. To think he'd have that boy high in his esteem, well at least for this squad, but this was really bad. He didn't say anything, bottling it all up for a nice night of getting wrecked by whatever substance he had in his drawer.

The feeling was somewhat mutual with Suzuki, her arrogant grin fanning into a bored frown. Was he insane or just stupid? His demeanor wasn't the same as with the puppet user from before, making her think this guy was either intimidated or sick. Nonetheless, she wanted another quick fight. She slowly walk up to him, avoiding any brutal movement to get him on high alert. "Now now boy. Just stay put." she lifted both her hands to the level of his cheeks, ready to embrace him in what seemed to be a kiss.

Goddamnit, she's going to do something, Shin tensed up, bringing his fists higher as Suzuki closed in. But still he didn't move to dodge or attack, simply preparing himself. This would be the best time to knock her out... His right fist clenched tighter once Suzuki was just out of his reach. Damnit. I don't want to hit her! He gritted his teeth and jumped away the moment she entered his effective punching range, completely avoiding his opportunity to strike. "Hey, we just met. Aren't you getting a bit pushy for a first date?" Shin joked, though he was still visibly stressed as he brought his fists up. Come to think of it, I have no idea what exactly she can do...

"Teehee, nervous are we? Young men like you are always so interesting..." this time however she launched herself in his direction, pushing the teen closer to the barrier wall if he were to be dodgy once again. Her goal would be to grab one of his wrists with her hand and keep him put this time around. She would of course keep a firm grip, but she'd refer to any means necessary in order to prevent a forced escape, namely binding his arm with a hidden shadow boa.

This woman was adamant about getting close to him. She's probably going to poison me or do some other vixen kind of attack, Shin thought, immediately jumping back when she charged this time. She must've already figured out my weakness! Shin landed close to the edge of the arena. When Suzuki caught up again he jumped backwards, completely oblivious to the forcefield behind and slamming into it. "Oh," he let out aloud, clearly surprised by his mistake.

And because of his negligence the woman had caught up and grabbed him by his wrist. His face already showed his concern. "Something is telling me not to hold your hand," Shin tried to snark, though his expression didn't match his arrogance as he tried to jerk his arm away from her. Shin was clearly bigger and stronger than her, so he didn't figure he would have a problem breaking free from her grip. Though at this point he wasn't thinking at his full capacity for the fight.

She wasn't going to let him break free no matter the reason. A hidden snake coming from her sleeve would tie itself around his forearm and slighter swiftly through the rest of his arm while tightening its grip on him only to bite his shoulder, jabbing its non-poisonous teeth into the muscle and bone. She smirked, he was right where she wanted him. Using her free hand, she'd push Shin against the invisible wall bhind him, keen on having a violent response with the arm she hadn't bound to her ability just yet. She was more than ready to trap him if he were to use any of those fancy crystal moves from before, especially with his apparent weakness to electrical shocks.

Nonetheless, with an absence of harm oriented toward her, she'd attempt to kiss him as he'd remain pinned to the wall she kept him firmly against. Shin flinched in surprise when a snake wrapped up his arm and bit onto his shoulder. Oh fuck. He crystallized his arm and neck following this, only now thinking to defend himself, though it was too late to avoid that particular snake. It was holding onto him already, so his Crystal Armor couldn't cover the spots where it's fangs had punctured his skin, instead working around it. A futile defense, now, but Shin didn't know if another snake would would attack him.

I'm probably poisoned now, Shin began rationalizing. Now I'm going to be fighting on a timer. The venom only entered my right shoulder so my left arm should be... wait... He was surprised when he was shoved against the invisible wall behind him, and even more so when Suzuki closed in. She actually trying to kiss me or is she going to bite me too? Shin's left hand balled into a fist, as if he was going to finally stop her, but his arm didn't move. On the bright side... wait, I can't be thinking like that. I'm gonna fucking die like that! Despite scolding himself internally, Shin still did nothing to stop Suzuki from achieving her kiss.

Suzuki didn't really expect this, she was waiting for him to use a technique so she could block him with her hidden asset, but alas this one was hypnotized by her actions. Kissing the boy on the lips, it didn't take ling for Shin to feel large masses squeeze through his mouth and throat, much too large and thick in layer to be simply bitten off. It felt like a snake, or more than one, was entering his body through his mouth. It was pretty much the case, using her hidden shadew snakes, she'd spawn them from her tongue and mouth and stuff them directly into him. This would not only have rabid reptiles go wild in his boy but also suffocate him with their thick bodies. She'd look directly into his eyes, hoping to see his utter shock and lack of oxygen wither every ounce of energy into nothingness. But most of all, she wanted him to die quickly, or at least have him surrdender before his body wouldn't move any longer.

For the first few seconds, Shin wasn't too adverse to the kiss. Then he felt the snakes entering his throat. Oh hell fucking no! His eyes immediately widened in surprise and panic. This is something out of a horror movie! Hell no! Shin finally brought his left hand up, placing it on Suzuki's shoulder and shoving her away from his face. Though this got Suzuki off him, the snakes coming from her mouth were still going down his. With his right arm he swung out, dragging the woman with it as she had attached herself and putting even more distance between the two.

Can't breathe! He made a coughing sound as his left hand reached up and grabbed the snakes. With a powerful yank downward he was able to forcefully remove them from his throat, tossing them onto the ground. Shin had to cough several times, feeling like he was about to puke. "What the..." He was interrupted by a few more coughs. "Actual fuck are you trying to do!?" Shin yanked his right arm hard now, simply breaking the fangs of the snake latched into his shoulder. Free from it's grip, he jumped away and pried his arm from her grip again. Blood was slightly leaking from the punctures on his skin. "That was so gross! I'm going to have nightmares about this for the rest of my life!"

Shin spit some saliva on the ground and wiped his face with his left arm. I seriously need to fight her now. If I keep being a pansy she's going to kill me. Why is it me that has to fight the hot one? His expression turned serious now as his eyes settled on Suzuki. I don't want to hit her, but I have to stop her somehow. I'll think of something. For now... His hands met together, forming the Ram handseal. The Jade Crystal Prison began to form at her feet. She had seen him use this attack on her comrade before, but it was still his best ninjutsu for containing an opponent.

"Teehee~ Try swallowing." she'd say as she was starting to get trapped. Like her opponent, she appeared a little disconnected and carefree. She recognized this technique, but even if she didn't it didn't matter. Her legs and lower body would instantly morth into a snake's form. This allowed her to swiftly slither away from the prison designed to hold her shape and she would charge right at him. Of course, at this point Shin would likely notice the dozens of puncture wounds done to his esophagus, a normal reaction from snakes being yanked out. It didn't matter all that much either as her enhanced speed and mobility allowed her to end up face to face with her opponent, five large snakes leaking out of her sleeves. He wasn't going to grab her in anyway without them jailing him beyond necessary. She wasn't going to let her prey get away after all.

She'd attempt of course to bite him by the neck as she got close. She didn't mind his armor coming forth as it wasn't required to her teeth bite in his flesh to inflict the marvelous seal she prepared for him.

What is this freaky woman? Shin scowled when she avoided his Jade Crystal Prison by transforming her body into something similar to a snake. My luck. Shin's serious expression returned as he jumped to his side, so he wouldn't be near the invisible wall anymore. He formed handseals as he moved, forming his Jade Crystal Blades on his arms again. Why is it me? Shin was surprised by her sudden speed boost, and she had closed the distance between them rather quickly again. "Sorry, but I don't want seconds," Shin stated, still devoid of his cheeky smirk.

He began swinging his blades, aiming to slice the snakes that were attempting to grab him into pieces. He didn't want to accidentally cut Suzuki herself, so he made his slashes deliberate. But he kept them wide, to ward her away and convince her to not approach further for fear of getting cut. After all this was the technique that sliced through her puppeteer partner, so she had already seen how sharp and strong the blades were. "You should keep your distance. For my own good."

She could only chuckle, even with a couple of her snakes falling as casualties to his slashes. In response to his attempt to ward her off, the snakes simply swped out a blade from each of their mouths and blocked both blades as they slashed down, maintaining pressure so they wouldn't strike again without leaving Shin exposed to being stabbed from different places. But a couple of snakes holding off blades wouldn't be enough to keep Shin off for more than a few seconds, hence the remaining other blitzing through his arms and binding them as the first one did before.

Suzuki approached him, his arms now under her dominant power and the snakes biting into his shoulders once more, ready to bite him. But this was a feint for her neck would suddenly stretch and project her head down to his chest. She'd simply stab her teeth through his clothes and attempt to get a chunk of flesh before she'd apply the secret seal.

"Why can't you listen?" Shin complained as she entangled his arms again. Though the snakes weren't able to bite through the crystal armor on his right arm, they still hade a strong grip and the ones on his left were able to latch on with their fangs. I can't do this, Shin began thinking, locking his eyes with Suzuki's. Should I just surrender? She's going to keep kicking my ass...

His expression turned serious and he gritted his teeth. But I'm not going to be known as a failure, am I? Can I really just give up? That could end up compromising the mission. That shame would hang over me for the rest of my life... Suzuki's neck extended now, moving in to bite him or something. This fight is already embarassing... His scowl vanished now, being replaced by his usual grin finally. "Sorry love. Told you I don't want seconds." Shin angled his arms to point towards her torso.

Both crystal blades disintegrated before being immediately replaced by his Crystal Lance. Both lances rapidly extended outward, to impale her and hopefully prevent her from performing whatever attack she was planning. The sudden resolve to actually fight may have caught her off guard, it was certainly a surprise to Shin too, but he showed no signs of regret or inhibition in his eyes now. He decided he wouldn't surrender. He was going to win.

She wasn't too happy with the outcome of things, Shin was getting his hopes up which was quite a bummer compared to his submissive nature. Nonetheless, she didn't stop her assault, quite the contrary, she had a defender for this kind of situation. She bit into his torso, connecting with his armor. All the while, the spears would extend in an attempt to impale her. At that moment, he could feel a powerful killing intent manifesting itself from something he couldn't see. But he could very well feel it. A large, yellow snake tail would slap the first spear with great might, causing it to crash on the other spear immediately after. Such a large member didn't seem right, if a big creature like that was hiding under her attire, she'd be at least twice her size.

Over her shoulder, the head of a large, white snake with yellow stripes would lay, its eyes piercing Shin's as its killing intent was higher than any human he had encountered. It was her guardian, the most probable reason for her lack of worry when assaulting the boy. Now that she had bit him, she retreated he head to appear somewhat normal once again. "Heh, thanks Cho. Mommy almost had a problem there. Now, try to attack me." she'd order the male, all the while caressing the creature's head. She didn't release the snakes from his arms, she was too cautious for that. But Shin would feel his body almost entirely paralysed as a seal slowly formed all around his body.

His grin vanished and he gritted his teeth in anger. His attack didn't work and she lived while also putting some kind of seal on him. Shin had been in a bind this entire fight, but it somehow seemed he was worse off now than when she tried to kill him from the inside earlier. "Be careful what you wish for," Shin responded. He prepared to break free of her grip, but his body began to weaken. He looked down, noticing the seal she had placed was expanding to cover his body. The black marks had already spread over his torso and were beginning to take his arms.

Some kind of restraining seal, Shin confirmed. He tried to move his arms again, but the paralysis seal combined with the snakes holding him in place only made it appear like he was struggling. If I could make handseals I could use that technique and end the fight now, but my choices are much more limited right now. The Crystal Lances, having narrowly missed their target from the big snake's influence, now disintegrated into a fine dust.

In the air around him, several small shuriken of crystal began to form. It was a weak attempt, and the shuriken were notably smaller and more fragile than the ones he used in the previous fight, but he had to do something to distract her briefly. A dozen or so flew at her simultaneously. Odds are she would have snakes deflect them, but the lapse in her attention was what Shin was hoping for. His Crystal Armor expanded to cover his entire body now, and he rotated his hands to grab onto the snakes that were restraining him. "How do you feel about crystals?" Shin asked, before channeling his chakra into the snakes.

The seal had him weakened, so he had no hope of entirely crystallizing Suzuki in this method, but the area he had gripped on the snakes was solidified with ease. And once they were partially crystallized it was easy to shatter them. Shin broke the snakes at their crystallized location, taking a step back from Suzuki and falling to one knee. This woman likes keeping me still. I can't run with this seal. I need to get rid of it... By now the black marks had covered his entire body.

He gritted his teeth, looking up to Suzuki. "I just had an idea," he told her, slowly forming a grin on his face. "If you don't surrender before I break this seal, you'll die. Feel like surrendering right now? Or nah?" Shin's hands clenched tightly into fists. He began amassing his chakra, trying to focus on the location where the seal was initially placed. He needed it gone, or else he wouldn't be able to form handseals fast enough later. If I can overpower her chakra with mine, I should be good. And I have some strong chakra, if I say so myself. This oughta work. The black marks on his body began reversing, declining back towards his chest as he smirked in Suzuki's direction. "Last call."

With the shurikens coming her way, she seemed pretty calm. Her snake, Cho, had wrapped its tail on one of her Tanto and used to to deflect the slower than average shuriken. It was remarkably accurate, most likely due to the creature's bizarre senses. By the time Shin had done his stuff and blathered on, she had made a single hand seal before a bright light of blue energy sparked at the end of her index and middle finger. The concentration of energy made a high pitched, ear shattering screech.

"This will kill you instantly. Or, it'll damage you enough for me to end this without a problem. You can try to break free, but.." with those words, the snake on her shoulder leapt right at him while he was still bound to the seal. It could sense the heat in his body gathering up as he was mustering physical effort to release chakra. It was something snakes could do naturaly, and Suzuki knew when her prey would try to outsmart her tools. The snake would latch its mouth on Shin's neck, the Crystal armor being too much for its teeth. But the immense force in its jaw (typical of a boa) and the demonstrated strength it had made it easy to strangle Shin while lifting him in the air. He could notice that the snake was long enough to have its body still connected to its master's. ".. You know how this goes, don't you Shinobi?" she could easily deduce he was a practicing shinobi. Only they had this type of behavior. Relatively loyal and lacking in bloodlust. She was going to fry him the moment he'd resist, going for the heart. But she left this lapse of time for him to surrender. She wasn't cruel, after all.

The seemingly defense-oriented boa reached out to attack Shin, lifting him into the air and strangling him slowly from the sheer pressure it was applying on his armored neck. I didn't hate snakes when I woke up this morning. I think I do now. Shin couldn't breathe in this state, but that didn't stop him from continuing his effort. The black marks were almost gone now, but his smirk was nowhere to be seen. He was too busy keeping himself conscious. "What gave it... away?" he snarked with effort.

Time to see if I'm worth my salt. The second he had completely overpowered the seal his hands came together in front of his chest to begin forming handseals. Five seals in rapid succession. Surely by now she would see he was in full control again and would unleash whatever kind of attack she had prepared on her fingertips. His Crystal Armor was still in great condition, and she probably knew that, so whatever it was it had to be strong for her to think it could kill him. Shin would just have to tough it out, or hope he could, as he performed the seals for his most powerful ninjutsu.

Was this guy an idiot or has the lack of oxygen disconnected him from reality? She wasn't sure. Nonetheless, this was getting stupid and she had a scroll to win. She responded to his question with a powerful lightning bolt shaped like a spear right at his chest. Electricity had weakened his armor previously, so this was going to inevitably create some interesting results. Of course, no matter the alternative, she'd maintain the lightning (unless it'd pierce him entirely, making it pointless). The Boa didn't seem to fear for its life if the lightning would travel through his body, but then again it may as well be adapted to it considering her reliancy on binding her opponents.

The bolt slammed into the center of his chest, immediately causing Shin pain as it pressed into him. His Crystal Armor barely held it for a full second before it powered through, letting out a sound of shattering glass as the lightning stabbed through him. It couldn't go completely through him, as his back was also armored. If given a moment longer it would, but it probably didn't matter too much if he was completely impaled or partially.

Shin's face contorted in extreme pain, his arms going down to his sides as he finished the handseals. But his smirk returned. Course she would have lightning. The ground around the arena was already crystallizing, rapidly growing upwards. But I got it off in time. The Crystal Encampment Wall technique, Shin's most powerful ninjutsu in his arsenal. The Crystal Encampment wall was massive, covering almost the entirety of the boxed arena and encompassing Shin, Suzuki, and her boa within. Once it covered Suzuki completely her False Darkness technique was forcibly cut off, leaving Shin with a notable hole in his chest.

But while it seemed for a few seconds that all parties were disabled by this technique, the crystal around Shin retreated enough to free him and the boa's head. His arms moved up, gripping it by it's jaw and snout. Blood was leaking profusely from the hole in his chest, even more so as he exerted strength to remove the powerful snake from his neck. It wasn't even fully removed before Shin took a deep and panicked breath, finally getting some oxygen back in his system

The crystal opened up more space, allowing Shin to fall to his hands and knees. He began coughing, splattering blood in front of him. Those snakes from that kiss fucked me up too, didn't they? Shin just now realized, before starting another coughing fit. His left hand eventually moved to his chest, specifically the hole in it. It wasn't huge, but any hole in the human body that was created artificially was bad. Particularly in the chest. That's bad. He looked up to Suzuki, who was still frozen in the position of firing a lightning bolt at him.

"That hurt. A lot." Shin got back to his feet, before pressing his hand against the crystal in front of him. "I made a little mistake. I meant to give you a little space, so you can say that you surrender. But in my panic I accidentally froze you completely. I don't think I can let you live now." Shin held his right hand back, forming the Crystal Lance again. "I already killed one woman today. This isn't gonna sit well with me, but..." He aimed his Crystal Lance at her chest again. As it expanded forward, the Crystal Encampment Wall declined around it's path. This created a hole, focused just over Suzuki's heart, exposing it to his Crystal Lance as it closed in to deal the finishing blow.

Her teeth were gritting in anger, she couldn't believe that such a technique was around. She was stuck in a rather bothersome position and it didn't help that her opponent was trying to finish her off. He may have had a trick up his sleeve, but she was also one holding trump cards. Her arms acted as though they were boneless, cracking and twisting strangely as they quickly unbound themselves from the tight crystal and retracted to her body. When returned, they simply let her snakes come out of her sleeves, in large masses. They would saturate the tight space she had, filling it in while crushing her, but her soft body ability made it feasable for her. This contorted her body away from the spear and almost flattened her to the edge.

As the spear striked a few, blood would leak, but also multiple snaked would wraped around the spear while others slithered through the hole it opened and attacked Shin directly, attempting to bite and bind him while jumping out of the opening before it closed itself.

This woman. The sheer mass of snakes prevented him from fully thrusting the Crystal Lance into Suzuki and ending the fight. Not only did they effectively block his attack they were coming straight for him. Again. "These snakes are annoying," Shin muttered as he stepped back and retracted his arm from the Crystal Lance. Judging by how she contorted her body it was likely she could fit through the hole to fight again personally, if given enough time.

Shin knew he couldn't let that happen. The space inside the Crystal Encampment Wall that had hollowed out was very small, and her restraining abilities would end him if she could get to him again. I can keep these snakes at bay, but she'll take that time to escape and win. Conventional attacks won't penetrate their mass to reach her. What would Dad do... Shin scowled. He wouldn't have put himself in this stupid situation in the first place.

The teen began forming handseals, pressing his back against the hollowed space to give himself the most distance from the incoming snakes and more time. I need to close this bag of tricks. The moment he finished the brief string of seals, he placed his left hand on the crystal behind him. By now the snakes were practically upon him, prepared to bite him and tangle him again. He only raised his right arm up as a means of defense against them, his Crystal Armor serving as his last line of defense from Suzuki's attack.

But in the small space that Suzuki occupied, the results of his ninjutsu could be seen. From the space created by retracting her body inwards, crystal spikes began to grow. The Growing Crystal Thorns technique began filling the space she left, expanding at a dangerous pace. The first of the snakes had reached Shin by the time the crystal thorns would reach Suzuki. While he was being bound and bitten by the reptiles, Suzuki was being chased by crystals threatening to impale her multiple times over. One of us will survive this...

This wasn't fun, a large amount of spikes were forming around her and she could only do so much by contorting her body to the very limits before being stabbed in various areas. But all she needed was her hands. Rapidly forming five handseals as she reached her limit, her body would be replaced with one of the snakes assaulting shit, effectively pulling off a body replacement out of that hellhole. When out, she'd immediately deliver a strong kick to Shin's abdomen so keep him away from her as she'd get her body straightened out. "Freaking crystals. You're more trouble than you're worth." she'd crack her neck, visibly annoyed that Shin wasn't dead yet and had pulled off such feats. She nearly died, however she survived without any major damage.

She was fast, to be able to pull off a body replacement before the Growing Crystal Thorns could kill her. Shin's Crystal Armor mitigated most the damage from her entry kick, but the gaping wound in his chest rung out in pain from the proximity of the strikes. Blood leaked out at an even greater rate, but it was simply pooling underneath the Crystal Armor. He clearly winced in pain, but when he looked back up to Suzuki he had a grin on his face. "I thought women loved valuable gems and crystals," he snarked. Underneath his smirk he clenched his teeth, all the while lowering his center of gravity. "Guess I was wrong."

He charged forward, wrapping his arms around Suzuki and powering through the obstructing snakes. A full-body tackle was an interesting tactic, as if he wasn't already covered in snakes he surely would be after grabbing onto her directly. His legs pushed off from the crystal behind him, using as much strength as he could muster to force her backwards. In the small hole remaining from where his Crystal Lance was supposed to kill her, the Growing Crystal Thorns were continuing to expand. While Suzuki was strong, Shin was too and he put all his remaining effort into forcing her towards the spikes coming for her back. He wasn't too concerned about hitting himself with the attack, as his spikes likely wouldn't penetrate his armor if they went completely through Suzuki. But she has pulled off several surprises in this fight. And now would not be the time for another.

"Are you stupid or is it bloodloss?" she'd ask as the male attacked her. Because he was attacking her up front, she could at least brace herself for the assault and keep her balance. She kept en eye out for those shurikens he could form or any form of crystal. At the corner of her eye she could see those same repulsive thorns coming her way. He still had chakra after tanking such a hit and using an overwhelming AoE, it stuprised her as to how unbelievable that was. Nonetheless, she still had soft physique as her weapon, almost flattening her back mucles due to her bones becoming as flexible as goo, allowing her to slide off his grip.

Quickly, she grabbed one of his arms and twisted it accordingly so she could be holding him from behind and serve as a shield for his upcoming attack. All the while, one of her snakes from the previous assault would wrap itself around the boy's neck in an attempt to strangle him once more. "Now die quietly."

Shin scowled when she slipped out of his tackle, avoiding his spikes yet again. I need some way to get a tighter grip. She is squeezing past too easily. When his arm was twisted behind him, Shin seemed surprised. She intended to use him as a shield for the Growing Crystal Thorns. "That's-" Shin was about to snark off again when something coiled around his neck, again. Why can't she just let me breath in peace!? His free hand went up to the snake, attempting to at least loosen its grip.

But while his Growing Crystal Thorns approached, seemingly about to impale him, Shin didn't even pay attention to them. Instead he rotated his captured arm's wrist, grabbing onto Suzuki's wrist and squeezing tightly. It would've been strong enough to break a normal person's wrist, but this woman didn't have that problem and likely felt no pain from it. But the strong grip served a purpose. There wasn't enough space to slide the bones in her hands through Shin's clenched fist.

The spikes diverted at sharp right angles just before reaching Shin's body, altering their path around him to continue homing in on their target. Shouldn't have interrupted me, I was about to say that wouldn't work, Shin thought smugly, though his face was starting to turn red from the snake around his neck. The Growing Crystal Thorns would stab it to death momentarily, but not before they would seek Suzuki. Oh shit... I can already feel it. I'm about out.

"Huh? Trying to trap me?" she remarked, noticing the strong grip. She was in a pickle alright, but just a small one. The simple alternative would be to stretch her arm like she'd do with her neck, and considering the small amount of time she had to react, it was her best option. The next problem would be that she'd abandon her prey to be released from her snake's grip. You win some, you lose some, she'd get over it. Using the soft physique power, she'd jump backwards to avoid the assault with her arm stretching like a serpent.

Because she cared about her arm, snakes would come out of her wrist and bind the hand that oppressed her (patriarchy), tightening and crushing it to force a release. She didn't have her hand ruined by a few spikes.

Once Shin's neck was released he gasped in some air. His grin didn't return, necessarily. But he turned his head to face Suzuki, who was still trying to escape from his Growing Crystal Thorns. A grin returned to his face, but not his usual one. The arrogance was there, but so was a new rage. There was anger on his face and a fire in his eyes. "You can keep crushing my hand," he told her, lifting up his snake covered hand. He still hadn't released his grip on Suzuki's arm, despite the devastating wringing he was receiving as punishment.

"But you can't break a Maru." The Growing Crystal Thorns continued past him, first stabbing into her hand and then proceeding to stab into her arm as the space was filled with the sharp and durable crystals. Shin could feel the pressure rising, not only from his hand that was being crushed but his chakra reserves declining. Two battles in a row using chakra freely, and in this one using the Crystal Encampment Wall, was taking its toll. As the spikes began to fill in the space between Shin and Suzuki, slowly cutting off their sight of the other, Shin chuckled to himself. "I don't feel guilty killing you anymore."

"This is stupid." she said, once again very annoyed. Grabbing her tanto with her free hand, she'd sever her trapped armed, cursing under her breath that she was an NPC, huehue. A snake would tighten itself around the stump to stop the bleeding, of course. This was going to be very simple. He was going to die soon from abusing chakra added to the blood loss he had gotten and the internal burns she inflicted. If she had simply went for stalling from the beginning, she wouldn't have to regenerate her arm after this fight. It was the price for trying to work fast. All she had to do now is create new distance between her and Shin's attack and wait for her fatal shot to end this.

Once Suzuki cut off her own arm in an attempt to further her survival, Shin lowered his and held it to his side. He didn't even let go of her severed arm, his grip was so tight on it. The snake that was crushing his hand had since been stabbed by the thorns, freeing his hand from the punishment. It was clearly red and starting to swell, possibly broken bones. "Goodbye." It was finally time to end her. She had nowhere to use Body Replacement, nowhere to run even with her ability to manipulate her body. The Growing Crystal Thorns consumed the remaining space in the pocket of the Crystal Encampment Wall with nothing left to stop them.

"This is reeaaally stupid. I give up." she put her hand up in the air, causing the force field to shatter and the fight to be officially over. She had nothing to lose, her teammates were dead and her sponsor couldn't do anything to her either. She really wanted that scroll though. But it irked her that things went this way. By obligation, Shin would have to stop in the risk of being 'disqualified', a term that could mean more than one thing in this world. She chuckled, not even adding a word to her defeat. She walked away, slowly peeling her flesh and clothes to give birth to her restored body with her arm intact. She waved her sponsor goodbye, an old man who didn't quite understand what was going on and looked more dumbfounded than angry.

The Growing Crystal Thorns had ceased almost instantly when she surrendered. Shin was bewildering, halting his assault in his own confusion. "What?" When the forcefield around the arena shattered it was confirmed. Suzuki actually gave up the fight. "What!?" he repeated, this time with rage. His face contorted in anger, but before he could do more his chakra that was maintaining the Crystal Encampment Wall ceased its flow. The crystal world around them shattered into dust, leaving her free to leave as she pleased.

"You can't do that!" Shin shouted after her, raising a fist toward her. "I was supposed to kill you! You can't just-" Shin made a hacking sound before falling to his knees, keeling over and throwing up blood onto the arena floor. She fucked me up bad. And then she just surrenders? And completely heals herself, like the fight never happened? That's not right. That's not fair. Shin remained on the floor for a moment, clutching his abdoment while he kept his forehead pressed to the ground. He was in extreme pain, but he was also in a rage. His adrenaline and desire to win was taken from him and his body noticed. "Goddamnit!!" Shin slowly lifted his head back up, looking towards his squad.

He already knew they would be mad at him. He made a fool of himself and it nearly cost him his life and the mission. And he knew right now that he wasn't behaving properly. He knew he should've just walked away and took the victory and seeked medical attention. But his anger bound him to the ring, wishing him to finish a fight that would never see its end. I can't win my next fight now... I just became useless to the team... With one final punch to the ground, Shin figured he had vented his anger enough. It took a moment to pick himself up, but he managed his way over to the rest of the team.

Shin couldn't look any of them in the eye, keeping his gaze to the ground. He had severe internal damage, he could feel it. His lungs likely had blood in them now, breathing was difficult. He couldn't feel his right hand, his neck was sore. And his energy was dangerously low, he was almost out of chakra and was certainly out of stamina. I messed up bad. Why am I so stupid sometimes? He didn't even ask Paneru to start healing him. Only after he sat down did he realize his Crystal Armor was still active. Once the transparent armor disintegrated into dust, the blood that had pooled up over the hole in his chest practically splattered onto the ground in front of him, resuming the profuse bleeding. "I..." He couldn't even finish his sentence.

Saburo Uchiha, “Kimyōna”

Saburo looked up to Takeshi as he took the chocolate bar and heard his story. He couldn't say he agreed to what Takeshi was saying. He took a bite of the chocolate bar as he turned back to overview the surrounding area. It was slowly dawning on him that he wouldn't be able to work with these people the way he intended. “Arigato-gozaimas, Takeshi-kun. But if your mission was the most important mission to Konohagakure, you would abandon your team to save the village. It's a trade off between one or two people, and an entire village. And that.. is not your call to make, denoting we should always do what is in the best interest of Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves.”

Hideyoshi told them to continue, something that bothered Saburo although he wouldn't say as much. That had been his plan from the get-go, and they were only here because he commanded Akio to. Saburo understood full well, and he could relate. Orders were meant to be followed, without criticism or doubt. He'd been taught that over and over in the 11th crops, follow without question, do as you are told, leave those who drag you down behind and complete a mission. But he was led by capable people, people who knew what was in the interest of Konoha. He wasn't lead by people that abandoned their team to chase personal glory, to attack people who had nothing to do without the mission at hand. He couldn't help but be critical of this would-be prodigy jonin, even if he'd been taught over and over to not be critical of superiors. Tsk. He was failing his own beliefs. Saburo shook his head as he looked back to Hideyoshi. “Hai, Hideyoshi-senpai. We will complete the mission on your orders, denoting I will lead the team to team Ayame as per order 2.51b of miss Ayame Choko's mission policies and manual.” Probably nobody else knew what Saburo was talking about, but unlike others, Saburo had spent the last night studying the mission set up in a detailed manner. He could list the objectives of every team, the expected situations, foreseeable risks (which were minimal, and Hideyoshi's injury certainly wasn't part of it) as well as Yakuza involvement and a detailed set of 'orders' for each team. This manual and policy book that he'd studied was likely accesible to the others, if they knew where to look and who to ask for it. But probably they didn't.

Saburo felt good when he turned back to his old ways, of following orders and not being critical of Hideyoshi. He was jonin for a reason, most likely. He pushed the criticism back to the back of his mind, to rot and die. It was a relief to not have things like that weighing you down, as it made the mission easier since you could focus on issues at hand. Such as right now. “Akio-chan, since Hideyoshi has put me in command, I wish to create a bunshin of that scroll.” Using some quick handseals he created a clone of the scroll, that appeared in his hand. It didn't have 'body' like a kage bunshin, since Saburo hadn't learned exactly how to do that yet. So it simply 'appeared' like the scroll and wouldn't have any actual weight or push behind it. It was a simple decoy.

He slung the scroll around onto his back. Then he stepped closer to Akio formed more seals. “Please stay still, Akio-chan, denoting you should not move your body in any manner or way, unless we are attacked.” It was more than obvious what he meant but he clarified anyway. After the seals were formed he touched the scroll and did the same to the scroll as he had done to his 'faux' scroll. With a poof, the scroll transformed into a backpack, making it look like Akio was simply carrying supplies for the team.

“Arigato-gozaimas, Akio-chan. Since I am the leader, I should carry the risk. Now, if we are trailed, they will think I have the scroll and attack me. In that way, I can sacrifice myself and die so you can continue the mission and rendezvous with team Ayame Choko. This will give us the maximum chance of succeeding the mission.” It seemed Saburo's self sacrifical tendencies came out yet again, yet he didn't seem sad that he put himself in the place of risk, rather he was happy to do it. 'A tactical death' he'd call it if he were still in the 11th corps. It was much different from a normal death, which would be meaningless and not offer the team any more chance at succeeding. A tactical death on the other hand always accomplished a goal.

Lastly Saburo nodded at Hideyoshi, indicating they were headed out. “Plan 2.51b in action, Hideyoshi-senpai.” That said he turned around and took a running start only to jump off the building they were on. With rapid movements he jumped from roof to roof, expecting the others to be with him. Expected duration of travel was about 10-15 minutes, depending on how well Takeshi and Akio could keep up. They were lucky to not have expanded too much of their energy reserves and as such were still quite fit - then again escaping Yakuza wasn't too hard.

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

After Tsukiko finished stomping the shinobi to death, she turned her attention to Yamato for yelling at her. "Fuck off!" she retorted simply, in regards to her playing around. She made no attempt to justify her actions or her aggression. After all she knew herself better than anyone else: she simply wanted to kill these people. No other reason for her behavior and Tsukiko didn't plan on pretending there was. She barely had the time to take down another target, first slicing him across his back and then stabbing him once he was slowed down, before the rest had been cleaned up by the three Chuunin.

She spun The Equalizer in her hand a few times before sheathing it on her back again. At this point Aoi offered the group some chocolate candy bars, something oddly childish yet not entirely unexpected of the girl. "Quit eating chocolate," Tsukiko began to advise the girl. "It'll make you fat and your skin greasy." While she didn't lie, Tsukiko personally loved chocolate and had plenty of it at her apartment. She simply didn't want to lose face in front of the kids. After weighing the scroll in her free hand, Tsukiko tossed it up and caught it again as if it were a toy.

"Alright, mission is accomplished. We have the scroll and the assholes are dead." It didn't really need to be confirmed, but it was an obligation to announce it being she was the team leader. Her gaze settled on Yamato now. While she no longer had her crazed, bloodthirsty eyes like before it was still a threatening glare to match. "Yamato is correct. We will be giving the scroll to Miss Choko. She is the one in charge of the operation, after all." The boy's lack of respect to Tsukiko was already annoying enough, but it was becoming clear that he didn't respect much of anyone. Her fierce gaze finally relented and she looked over the other two Chuunin. "You all did a decent job. No mistakes, just how it's supposed to be. I'm not one for giving praise so don't expect anything else from me."

Tsukiko withdrew a piece of paper from one of her pockets, one which contained written instructions by Ayame detailing the meetup location. After scanning over it again, to make sure she had her directions right, Tsukiko turned to face about north. "They should be done with their mission too when we get there. If not we might have to wait a little while for them to catch up. I can't see any possible way for us to fuck that up, so just do whatever you want now. Now would be the time to take a leak, because I don't intend on stopping again." She shoved the paper back into her pocket and adjusted the scroll in her other hand. "Scroll stays with me. Can't trust that you kids won't try to look."

Now she looked over her shoulder, though this was at the bodies littered across the sand. "While you three do whatever during this little break, I'm going to see if they had any goodies." Tsukiko didn't wait for any signs of approval before approaching the nearest body. She quickly found a carton of cigarettes. Haven't smoked in years, but I could give them to Fujitora and save him some change. She quickly pocketed the smokes and continued checking the corpses, seemingly oblivious to what the three kids were up to.

Yamato Minamoru, “Young Master”

Yamato slung his backpack around his shoulder and put it down in the sand. He rummaged through it quickly with his right hand, and without looking extended his hand towards Aoi. Normally he'd have cussed her off and told her to get lost but he was too focussed on his backpack to do that. Instead he simply took the chocolate, which was melty due to the heat, and tossed it on the ground. Not that he was abandoning it, he was simply putting it there so it wouldn't melt all over his hands and such. He ignored her request for help with training as he knew she wouldn't be able to properly learn the destructive techniques that used fire - she was more suited for water, which would flow extremely well with the muckus stuff she did - he'd let her figure that out on her own.

Once he was done rummaging through the backpack, making sure everything was still in order, he slung it back around on his shoulders and moved a hand back to the back of his flak jacket. He pulled loose a string that had a water bottle attached to it and he took a few sips of it before extending the bottle to Aoi. He couldn't see if she had any water with her, but asides that it was best to be hydrated if Ayame had run into trouble and needed their help. “Not that I particularily care for your hydration, but you're more useless than normal if you're not hydrated. Drink.” he said in a bossy tone. He was unsure of Aoi would accept that but then again he didn't particularily give a shit. She was below him, both as a shinobi and in their line of work at the restaurant.

After extending the water to Aoi he listened to Tsukiko ranting on him. He looked back in an equally threatening, challenging glare. It was obvious enough the two clashed. That left Aoi and Nobunaga to decide who they liked more. He didn't hold it against Tsukiko though, she was a capable jonin, other than some of the others that were around. He could respect her for that.. but he wouldn't say that to her face. “Baka.. baka.. shut up already..” he whispered to himself out of earshot of Tsukiko.

He pulled on another cord and pulled loose another water flask (he had quite a few) and underhandedly tossed it towards Nobunaga, leaving it to him to catch it. He didn't say anything to the boy - he hated that boy's guts, with his annoying faux intelligence and seemingly calm manners. He just knew there was going to be a day where Nobunaga craced and Yamato would be the one to put him back in his place. But not now. Aoi, who would be close to Yamato still, would possibly see the small devilish smirk he had as he had tossed him the water.

The last person no doubt had her own water, but Yamato didn't want to leave her out. Doing so was a too clear remark of annoyance at her - and Yamato wished to push Tsukiko's buttons a bit more than outright letting her know she annoyed him. He pulled loose the last waterflask he had and tossed it towards Tsukiko. Doing so from the back, she'd have to sense it in time and move fast enough to catch it. More than likely she wouldn't be able to do that, although Yamato had no doubts about her senses. If she didn't catch it, it would land in the sand next to her. “Yo, drink up. When we get to team Ayame, I wanna see what you're capable of. Not like this, where me and the others cover your ass while you steal some scroll and cut down people that aren't fighting back.” Tsk, tsk. Tsukiko had better show them something today. She'd just done a lot of bitching and whining, moaning and being a general pain in the fucking ass. Sure, she got the scroll, and made the plan. And it was a good plan. But Yamato didn't value that as much, he rather wanted to see her do some actual combat.

He also couldn't help but feel that what Tsukiko was doing was kind of wrong. Like a rogue nin, scavenging the dead. He looked at Tsukiko bend over to search the dead bodies, and thought about it some more. “Ah, I suppose if miss Big-tits doesn't.. others less honest than us will.” That rationalized it a bit. It made him realize that if he wanted in on it, he'd have to search bodies for himself. He killed them after all, it was his loot now. He ignored the idea that this was pretty bad, and not honorable for a shinobi. If Tsukiko did it, so could, and would, he himself. He kneeled suddenly without saying a word, possibly startling Aoi with the speed at which he did it, and started rummaging through the clothes of a half-burnt body that he had mangled. Every time he found something that interested him, he pocketed it, such as money, coupons and other random crap. Most of all, he was looking for anything that linked the Yakuza clan to that ronin that stole the scrolls - as to be expected. Maybe one of these guys had a document relating to that, and that could help Ayame figure out the next step if one was to be taken. Sadly, he found no such thing.

He finally stood up again and looked at the team. “Yo, I'm done here. I'm heading out. Guess I'll see you soon, if you don't slip and fall off a branch and die.” he said, looking at Tsukiko when saying the last specific words. It was a bit of a challenge, though whether Tsukiko caught on or not was to be seen. After that he headed out towards Kannabi bridge, the spot where Ayame's team was supposed to be at.

Masaki Haruna OLD TESTAMENT

Sentou still couldn't believe what she witnessed. An outsider from the clan awakening the sharingan? Is it even possible?. At this point it doesn't matter but to tell you the truth. As far as information attests. There are only less than 100 existing Uchiha in the world and even the village, more accurately 80 Uchiha in total and 8% of the clan are those who awakened the sharingan. 40% are Shinobi, 20% are solely policemen, 15% are non shinobi. In general there are 15 children, 14 or younger and a few mid-teens.

45 are non Shinobi. Only 30 people have sharingan. Regardless of the numbers, not all have sharingan yet or never will. In fact they aren't fit to be called a clan but a family in this era.

Sentou moves in fast speeds as she runs around the Ronin and throw a smoke bomb. Afterimages are performed as well meant to confuse the Ronin and an effect from such fast speed generated a wind funnel effect and the smoke from the smoke bomb is trapped inside the wind funnel to cloud the Ronin's vision. While running, Sentou have her wires circling too and it is visibly emitting lighting chakra, it is meant to trap and electrocute the Ronin if he ever tries to get out of her wind funnel. "Chidori!" She uses Chidori aimed at the Ronin Man's leg.

Ayame Choko, “the Sewstress”

Departure to the Frontlines

Ayame watched from a branch above the ronin as he was falling for the trap regardless of his evasion of the poison. Haruka used the temporary paralysis technique, which was a beautiful technique now that her poison had been dealt with. Then Daiki caught attention of the man, diverting the man's eyes away from the incoming paralysis. Haruka's form of this technique was, after all, a rather crude form of chakra that pulled down at the enemy. Right on cue Sentou appeared, who seemed to have changed Ayame's plan to suit her whims. Ayame couldn't help but feel slightly annoyed - the man was paralyzed, distracted and furthermore had all escapes cut off. Was the smoke, wire and speed really neccesary?

The ronin saw the lightning spike up through the smoke, and attempted to jump away only to realize he had been paralyzed. “Fuck you, fucking shinobi with your fucking chakra tricks..” he said as he realized he'd be done for. Well, sort of. The hit was quick and took care of the job, severing important tendons in the man's right leg. Ayame was sort of surprised that Sentou could aim this technique but she supposed Haruka's paralysis took care of the tunnel vision. After the smoke cleared Ayame would drop down and observe her team. No wounded. No visible damage to the scroll either. All the man had was a leg, but the paralysis technique didn't allow him to react physically, besides the screams he was letting loose.

A firm kick in the side ended that as Ayame looked over the man. “Pipe down. Good work, Haruka. Feel free to release him.” She made a mental note to speak to the Hokage about Haruka. She looked back over to Sentou and Daiki, realizing now that she'd have to deal with Daiki's uncle, and Sentou's father, someday. Maybe murder him, if he forced her to. “You too.” With a firm movement she reached over to the ronin's neck and grabbed it, pulling him up after Haruka'd release him. She pulled out a senbon from her sleeve, and held it in her open palm. “Don't escape, if you can with that leg.” Without moving a muscle the senbon started levitating above her hand and soon after seemed to 'evaporate' into a cloud of metal dust. “I'll shoot this after you.” Without warning the needle particles shot forwards, appearing as though the cloud of metal dust suddenly shot out, past Haruka, between Sentou and Daiki and then into a tree. Numerous tcks were heard from the metal clashing with the wood, leaving behind several miniscule, barely visible holes that punctured all the way through the tree. Ayame felt like she had to give a show of power for the chunin, as well as the ronin, to enforce the idea that she was quite a capable figure.

“Now, let's deliver this prize to the land of Iron, shall we?” she said with a happy smile as she looked at the chunin. She'd gone back from serious Ayame to happy Ayame, keeping up the appearance. Now that the mission was halfway done she could lighten up some more. With that she left back for Kannabi bridge. By now, some teams might already be there..

Aoi Don Maquia

To her massive surprise, Yamato accepted the treat she offered him, something that she would not expect in a million years. Then again he was probably hungry after taking down all these goons and could use a bit of calories to get back in the game at full speed. In exchange, she happily accepted the water the prodigy offered, beaming at the boy as he'd blather on about how much he didn't care and all that typical adolescent stuff, not that Aoi was spared from in any case especially considering her behavior in combat. She chugged down the water, the heat of the desert accentuating her thirst for a bit of hydration in her dry mouth even though she had used a large scale water technique just recently. She'd exhale strongly after drinking such a large quantity, something she'd regret in about an hour as they had a long journey to go through and breaks weren't very well received by Tsukiko-sensei.

With Tsukiko's remark on the chocolate, Aoi would first look at the chocolate bar she hadn't finished eating and then look at Tsukiko as a whole. The clown noticed that her sensei's silhouette wasn't exactly the thinnest girl in town and her posterior wasn't all just muscle either. Aoi snickered silently, eating on her chocolate bar despite her captain's advance. All the while she'd rub her tummy and feel its flatness, realizing that even if she lacked well defined forms and muscles, she had little to no excess fat in the areas. Then again with all these little contortionist tricks and her general petite morphology made it all the more easier for her to keep this shape. The only downside would be bellow average sized breasts, which oddly enough never really left her with a complex. A very flexible girl was much sexier than a big titted one anyway.

Most of her team was now scavenging from interesting free stuff to loot from the corpses. The gypsy-carny in her couldn't resist the temptation and followed Tsukiko and Yamato's example by grave robbing the people they had just murdered. It didn't bother her one bit as it wasn't against the rules or anything, plus the word honor meant little to nothing to people like her. First off, she slipped off her a sleeve a white cloth she'd usually use in combat for specific approaches. Here, she'd stock up on random metallic junk she'd later sell in the flea market for an extra buck, definitely gypsy style. Random knives, blades, scraps of metal, etc. Sometimes she'd stumble upon jewelry, and she'd quickly snatch those while the others weren't looking. Money was also common and she couldn't ignore that.

'Oh, what are these... White Eyes to the Moon, Grognak the Barbarian, The Four Sage Gods? Maybe Daiki or Shin didn't read these ones yet~ Guess who won't have to pay for a birthday gift this year~'

She'd tell herself in her mind as she dug into the backpack of one of the deceased, robbing them of many goods and comic books they had been travelling with apparently, and of course she could only fluidly read them due to their popularity (and images). Upon searching further, she'd eventually find a small, golden necklace with little sapphire rocks decorating it. It was beautiful, or at least in first glance. She'd be interrupted by Yamato, preventing her from examining the antique any further and simply pocketed it. He was ready to go and it was indeed a wise choice to head back. She'd jump on both her hands and walk with them right up to Yamato, avoiding the many corpses along the way. When she'd reach her group, she'd stand normally and await further orders.

"Captain Tsukiko-sensei, I'm ready to finish the mission! Tip top 100%~ No signs of going out of shape either, ma'am!"

"Understood, sir."

Haruka flexed his energies, pulling back his chakra and waiting for the technique to wear off on their target. The first objective had been successfully completed, though personally not as smoothly as he had wanted it to; coordination between him and his teammates would be something he would need to work on in the future in order to avoid misunderstandings and roadblocks during missions. He should have been better at communicating his thoughts to the others. The mission goals may have been achieved, but their target was now missing a leg. It was a suboptimal condition to deliver somebody in, and he really hoped that Iron would not care for such injuries.

He allowed his eyes run over the unconscious ronin. They were likely late compared to the other teams.

"I shall carry him," he stated, turning his attentions to his current squad leader.

He had done the least work during the mission, and that did not sit well with him. The others had engaged the ronin in combat, while his actions amounted to utilising one technique. Although it meant that he would be less tired than his teammates, the green-haired chunin hated feeling like he was a burden, a mere tagalong that took advantage of other's skills. He needed to do something useful.

Takeshi Ruzuzaki

With Saburo Uchiha and Akio Tendou

“Arigato-gozaimas, Takeshi-kun. But if your mission was the most important mission to Konohagakure, you would abandon your team to save the village. It's a trade off between one or two people, and an entire village. And that.. is not your call to make, denoting we should always do what is in the best interest of Konohagakure, the village hidden in the leaves.”

"To lose a few to gain many...." Takeshi smiled at that "Looks like i still have ways to go...but it's clear to me that you and me have different ways of thinking...i will acknowledge your way, Saburo." Takeshi stood as he looked at Hideyoshi. The wounded captain made Saburo captain, which he has no problems with. After all he did have more experience than he did. "By your word, Sawada-Taichou." as the 3 set of, the uchiha spoke to them.

"We will complete the mission on your orders, denoting I will lead the team to team Ayame as per order 2.51b of miss Ayame Choko's mission policies and manual.”

"Sure, Saburo-taichou. Led the way, i'll protect the rear if you allow me to." his yellow eyes looked at him as he gave Saburo the thumbs up. "At least allow me that role." He waited for the uchiha to speak as he created a 'fake' scroll and announced that if an attack were to follow, he would be the sacrifice

“Plan 2.51b in action, Hideyoshi-senpai.” With that the 3 chunnin's moved fast, takeshi has no problem following Saburo movements. The group had reached the walls of kumo, without any hesitation they left the territory.

"Taichou, could you reaffirmed that were going to meet Ayame-san location at Kannabi Bridge?" takeshi called out to him as he slid underneath the tree trunk as he continued running while continuing to watch for any Yakuza. Surprisingly they weren't tailing them...maybe they couldn't since most of their members were taken out by Akio and Saburo. Which got him thinking.

"If i really want to change....then i must be able to fully let myself go...but how?" his mind was thinking as well on high alert. The travel was quiet, giving the green haired ninja a lot to think about. About how he fought, how he interacts with others....how he made a promise ot change himself. 'I have fire and Yang release....what could i do to make it work with Taijutsu?' it was 6 hours later until they left the borders of Kumo and entered the land of fire, Kannabi bridge would be in their sights.

The trio landed with everyone safe and the package and the 'other' scroll that Takeshi still held as the looked around.

"Guess were the first ones here...." he shrugged. He walked towards the rails of the bridge and lowered his head, returning to his train of thought. "Yang release...who could teach me how to use it effectively."

To Saburo and Akio, Takeshi looked like he was talking to himself.

Giichi Uzumaki

Giichi heaved with effort as Megumi returned. He found his shirt torn in the middle, a slash arcing from his naval to his shoulder, blood pool to the surface of the crevice. It stung like crazy, so he walked with a awkward tension towards the others, a pain induced hiss sliding between his teeth with every wrong move. As he approached, he grinned reassuringly to the others.

I was a bit reckless,” he told them. No problem though, it barely even hurts.”

The lie proved convincing as he slowly eased the tension in his stomach and--through the pain--rubbed the back of his head and chuckled. Rin and Mai were his classmates and girls at that, no way would he show weakness in front of them. As the dust sprinkled over him, he casually fixed his position and flew behind Megumi. For now, his shirt was soaking up a bit of the blood but occasionally a bit would fall to the woodland below.

Daiki Naito

He soon came upon Haruka as the man was lifting the Ronin onto him. With Anemone back into its scroll, Daiki found himself helping the green-haired guy. In all honesty, though it was short, his jutsu was exactly what they needed. And he timed it perfectly. Haruka was more of a ninja than he believed. He had his respect.

With a pat on the shoulder, Daiki walked on. Good job, Haruka-san. Let's get out of here.”

Daiki waited for Haruka before leaping off into the branches after Ayame and Sentou. His eyes had fallen on them all, his hands were nervously fidgeting; his fingers were clenching and un-clenching. The green scenery soon surrounded them and Daiki felt there was no better time.

I would appreciate it if no one spoke of my Sharingan to anyone.” His words felt abrasive as if it punched through the silence. He let the words soak in before continuing. Captain Ayame, Haruka-san, Sentou-san …” He bit the inside of his jaw, hating the next words that would fall from his lips. Hating to grovel to others. Please. This secret is very important to me. I let my blood run wild and I've really messed up.”

"You don't have a Sharingan, you don't happen to be an Uchiha," said Haruka simply, the green-haired chunin travelling at the back of the pack of ninja due to the extra burden carrying the ronin placed upon him. It was not particularly straining upon his stamina, but a full-grown man was a significant factor to reducing his movement speed in comparison to his fellows, though not to the point where he was incapable of catching up. "As such, your statement is pertinently ridiculous."

Despite the bland tone to his voice, he was shooting Daiki a composed smile, one that served as evidence of his willingness to protect his teammate's secret as requested. The reveal of a Sharingan had been a surprise, but now that the battle had ended, he decided to discard his original intentions of questioning the redhead upon how such an ability had come to their possession. It was something that the other ninja seemed to feel quite strongly about, and so Haruka was perfectly fine with clamping down upon his own natural curiosity and letting it be. His fellow ninja had not shown any real disloyalty to the village, and was obviously not that much of a threat, so there was no point in prying when they obviously did not wish for greater attention.

"If you were to hypothetically possess the Bloodline Limit of the Uchiha clan, Lord Hokage would have already known," he added, "and had he hypothetically considered this hypothetical secret Sharingan as a threat or of great import, you would have been approached already."

He doubted few things escaped the notice of their village's respected military dictator, after all.

Daiki would be fine.

And if not, he would ensure that his teammate would be fine.

Tsukiko Umene, Honeybadger

Tsukiko hadn't paid too much mind to what the chuunin were doing, so she was surprised when Yamato, of all people, tossed her a flask of water. She didn't detect it immediately, only turning her head in time to see it land in the sand next to her. Is he being legitimate or is he looking down on me? Tsukiko wondered, glaring at Yamato as she picked it up. Uppity little shit. Practically telling me he wants to fight. She gave him no response after his words, instead devoting her effort to opening the flask and taking a big swig out of it.

Once she drank about half the flask she simply splashed the remaining water on her face, taking advantage of the desert wind to cool off to some degree. He better not have given away all his water. If he passes out I'm not carrying him. Without warning she tossed the empty flask back to Yamato, giving him the same courtesy of aiming somewhat to the side so it wouldn't hit him if he didn't catch it. Tsukiko wanted to loot as much as she could, but the kids decided to get in on it. She could appreciate that they would place practicality over morality, but in this situation it meant that she got less goodies for it. Bittersweet, one could say. She barely got much from them, it seemed that the kids were luckier with the bodies they searched, but at least she nabbed a few items of relative worth.

Then Yamato decided to not only announce he would be leaving but also leaving her a challenge. "Excuse me?" Tsukiko finally said aloud. She glared at him, clearly on the verge of anger. Is he trying to get me to race him or is he trying to get me to kick his ass? He should fucking know better. Before she could retort, Aoi walked up to the group in her typical clown fashion and said something strange. Tsukiko's glare turned to her now, looking down at the young girl. Is she serious? She stared Aoi down for a moment before letting out a sigh and shaking her head. "Whatever. Let's just get going."

Yamato had already taken off several seconds ahead of the others. A mature and level-headed jounin wouldn't mind, considering he wasn't so far ahead that it would cause a problem. But Tsukiko knew he was challenging her dominance. It was clear from the start that Yamato was testing her. He wants to believe that he is the top dog. But the mission's basically over now. I have no obligation to cater to him anymore. Rather than keep pace with Aoi and Nobunaga like the team had done on the way to the desert, Tsukiko decided she wouldn't let Yamato taste any kind of victory over her. The wild woman launched ahead of the chuunin, easily catching up to Yamato before passing him too. She didn't even acknowledge him with a glance as she sped ahead. He wanted to think he's smarter, I proved him wrong. He wants to think he's faster, I'll prove him wrong. And if he wants to think he's stronger when we get to the Bridge, then I'll prove him wrong again.

This asshole's really getting under my skin. Hardest part about today is not killing him. Once Tsukiko achieved a sufficient distance ahead of Yamato, and by extension Aoi and Nobunaga, she slowed her pace to maintain the distance. Leaving him in the dust was amusing, but she was still smarter than to abandon the team. If something were to happen while they were divided it would be Tsukiko that would get in trouble for it later. For now she simply just needed to be at the forefront. Not just so that she could detect and possibly break ambushes in place of the kids, but so she could symbolically establish her dominance by being at the front of the pack.

The troupe made their way across the desert and through the forests of the Land of Fire over the course of several hours. By the time Tsukiko arrived at Kannabi Bridge, there was only one other team there. Team Hideyoshi was lounging around, scroll in hand. But Tsukiko quickly noticed that Hideyoshi himself wasn't there. The three chuunin had the scroll but were lacking their leader? It was definitely something worth inquiring about. "Hey, what happened to Hideyoshi?" Tsukiko immediately question upon arrival, serving as an announcement of her presence. The question wasn't directed to anyone in particular, and only after asking did she start to examine who was actually present.

Tsukiko couldn't recognize one of them, the one with black hair, though he did smell familiar. She knew Takeshi, and she knew he was rightfully afraid of her. But when she finally realized that Akio was among, them she let out a sigh. "You better not have had any trouble on such an easy task," Tsukiko lectured toward the girl, skipping formalities one would expect from a relationship like theirs. "I don't want to think that the time I spent training you was a waste." Tsukiko tossed the scroll in her hand up and caught it again with the same hand, serving as a way of occupying herself with activity while she conversed.

Ayame Choko, “the Sewstress”

Ayame looked at Daiki as he and Haruka had a small exchange of words. She was amused by how highly Haruka thought of the Hokage. Being his assistant, Ayame knew better than that. But that was something she didn't intend to voice. “I have no idea what you're taling about Daiki. I propose you focus on the mission at hand, or I'm afraid I'll have to report you to the hospital for psychological injuries sustained during combat. Poor boy, thinks he has a sharingan.” she said with a smile, following in tune with Haruka's denial of a sharingan existing. It was likely the best way to calm Daiki's heart and mind about this ordeal - but still, she would keep this info about the sharingan in the back of her mind. She knew that he was the nephew of Sentou, knowing his uncle and her dad quite well. But she didn't know that Daiki had awakened a sharingan himself, so that was more than interesting. Something to store in the backlog of information she had in the back of her mind.

With a thud she arrived on scene, her team stil wholly intact, not a scratch on them. “Haruka, please place the Ronin against that tree, and ensure he's properly binded.” she said before even acknowledging the others. She had been somewhat friendly during the trip here but now that went back to bussiness mode. After all, the others were here and the only missing team was team Fujitora.. and strangely enough, Hideyoshi wasn't here either. Neither Megumi. That was worrying, since everyone else was prepared to move and the prisoner was already recovered. When she tuned into the conversation at hand rather than ordering her team about, she noticed that Tsukiko asked an interesting question. “Hai, Saburo. Your name is Saburo right? The fresh recruit from 11th? Where's Hideyoshi?” she chimed in with a serious voice, stepping right up to Tsukiko and unintentionally forming quite an intimidating figure that way, with 2 jonin staring him down the answer had better be swift and honest.

After that'd be done she'd turn to Tsukiko who'd by now be busy talking to Akio. “Tsukiko-kohai, I see your team is unharmed. I hope that your three chunin weren't too much trouble. You'll have to forgive Fujitora-chan for that. But.... given that your team is fine, I assume that they performed well enough for you? You have the scroll, so it must've been. Can I ask you to write a short report on each team member, it'd help me for future team creations. You'd be doing me a great favor.” she said with a slight giggle and smile as she called Fujitora by a girlish honorific. She was however serious in asking her for the reports, and made sure to emphasize that the favor she would be doing was great. It was an attempt to make sure that Tsukiko would actually write it, whilst also making it feel like Tsukiko had importance in this all - quite frankly she did, - and also make her feel some form of power which Ayame knew Tsukiko loved - and once again, she did have some power over her current team, - in order to make sure Tsukiko cooperated. A little manipulation like this never hurt anyone. Certainly not Tsukiko, and while Ayame considered Tsukiko a dear friend, those reports really would help. Not only for team setups in the future, also for personal intelligence on the three team members. Mostly, Yamato and Aoi interested her. Both for differing reasons ofcourse. But with the same goal in mind. Info.

Yamato Minamoru, “Young Master”

Tsk... What a trash jonin. Yamato sighed in annoyance as Tsukiko sped by him, no doubt taking his simple jest as a challenge. Now he would have to fall back to protect those two idiots. He sighed, slowing down his pace to fall back in line, leading at the front, with Aoi and Nobunaga behind him. He remained silent for a moment but felt like he had to say something, so he simply answered what they'd want to know. “I'm only here because if neither me nor Tsukiko is close to you you'll both be dead within a minute.. so shut up and just get to Kannabi bridge. Stupid kids..” He said it and ended with another sigh, making it clear that he didn't want to be close to them. They were screw ups, and everyone knew it. The only reason Aoi was tolerated was because she had her moments of usefulness, in the restaurant or in combat, but she was still a screw up. Nobunaga on the other hand.. that attitude just annoyed Yamato to hell. That fake intelligence he has... makes my fucking blood boil, he thought, whilst they closed in on Kannabi bridge. Ahead of them Yamato could make out the figures of Tsukiko, and at the same time, team Ayame arriving. In front of Tsukiko were three figures. Akio Tendou, some unknown no-name that had no significance whatsoever.. Takeshi, that jashinist fuck up, whom Yamato would be having a.. friendly talk with at a later point to confirm anything Takeshi knew about the jashinists - and his sisters kidnapping.

Finally, there was Saburo Uchiha. That annoying guy that had snuck into his house one day to ask him dumb questions about the 11th corps. Yamato felt some anger that lingered from that day well up inside of him, but he contained it, landing with a thud next to Tsukiko on the right side, as the left had been pre occupied by Ayame Choko herself. And Yamato was smarter than to test Ayame. Bothering Tsukiko, you could get a rise out of that lady, and get under her skin. Ayame.. not so much. She was too smart to let that happen. So that's why he stood to the right of Tsukiko, locking eyes with Saburo. It was clear there was tension between him and Saburo, although Saburo didn't give that much away. As far as Saburo know, Yamato was a 'friend' of his. Yamato was just in time to hear Tsukiko finish her question to Saburo, and frankly Yamato was wondering, no, intrigued what the answer would be. The actual answer surprised him a bit.

Saburo Uchiha, “Kimyōna”

Saburo landed first, then Takeshi and Akio. An obvious sequence of landing since Saburo was the first in line ready to be the distraction and sacrifice in the case an attack happened. Takeshi said something about being the first to arrive and Saburo nodded in agreement. Anyone else would've cussed at Takeshi for saying such obvious things, but for Saburo this was a natural way to conversate during missions. “Hai, but our average mission completion percentage was the highest after all. Our team collectively came to a 92.132% succesful mission completion rate, where as the other teams all had lower completion rates, denoting that I think we were the first simply because we are used to speedy mission successes.” To Saburo, it wasn't strange at all that he had memorized the succesful mission completion rates for all the other teams, it was normal. But to the others it would probably be very strange. It didn't really matter ultimately, as Tsukiko soon after arrived. Saburo stayed near Akio, maintaining the grouping that Ayame had assigned despite the lack of their jonin. The lack of Hideyoshi must've been painfully obvious as Tsukiko immediately after that remarked about it. During her remark Ayame and her team arrived too, and Ayame quickly joined in with Tsukiko, asking the same question again.

“Hai, I am Saburo Uchiha from the 11th corps, Ayame-sama.” he said respectfully, answering her inquiry to him being the chunin transfer. It seemed the question that was most appropiate to answer first. After that he continued, switching between looking at Ayame and Tsukiko several times as he spoke. “Hideyoshi got badly injured after a fight with an unknown man, whose identity Hideyoshi didn't reveal to us. As far as we know, the man was unrelated to the mission at hand. Because of this he was MIA during most of our mission.” he said, referring to the fact that Hideyoshi wasn't present for the most of the mission, and not even for a useful reason. Although he didn't state that last bit so obviously. Saburo simply wanted to state the facts, not ruin Hideyoshi's career. “He contacted us as we were resting, after we obtained the scroll. It all went smoothly, and none of us got injured. Akio-chan did a good job providing support from above, and Takeshi-kun provided a, somewhat messy, but slightly useful distraction as I grabbed the scroll.”

With a noticeably fake smile he patted the 'scroll' on his back causing it to poof away into nothingness. In response to that, and the confusion it might cause to all those that were listening, such as Ayame, Yamato and possibly Tsukiko, he formed the tiger seal. “KAI!” he said, somewhat loudly, which made the 'backpack' on Akio-chan's back poof and reveal it's true form - the scroll. He extended an arm towards Akio as a gesture to ask her to give the scroll to him without saying anything to her. It wasn't an order, but it would help him further the conversation swimmingly. “Akio-chan, I'm sure you're tired of carrying that scroll all day. I'm sorry I asked you to do that, please allow me to carry your burden, denoting I am worried about you, your back, and your health and wish you to remain strong and healthy to favor the great village of Konohagakure.”

After the exchange of scroll from hand to hand happened, or not, that was up to Akio-chan, Saburo would continue. “I let Akio carry a henge no jutsu of the scroll, making it look like a backpack, and formed a bunshin no jutsu of the backpack. That way I could sacrifice myself to provide a distraction, and that would allow the mission to be completed. I hope you are satisfied with the results, Ayame-sama, Tsukiko-sama.” Hm. Tsukiko had never told him her name.. that might ring a bell with her. Or it might not, it really depended on how much attention she was paying. Saburo gave Yamato a quick glance, squinting with his eyes and smiling at him. It was his way to say hello, but Yamato seemed unresponsive and only crossed his arms to hear out the rest of Saburo's story. “To continue with why Hideyoshi-senpai isn't here, he called Akio-chan to help him with medical aid, and Akio-chan was honorable and a true comrade and came to Hideyoshi's aid. Me, Saburo Uchiha, and Takeshi-kun, aided her by providing the backup.”

In case Akio-chan had given him the scroll, he would then hand the large scroll over to Ayame, with a bowing gesture as he did so. He made sure to be as respectful to her as he could, in his own little ways. He also purposely left out the part where Saburo was very much so against helping Hideyoshi in order to complete the mission. However the way he brought it was very convincing and Tsukiko, Yamato, Ayame or anyone else would have no reason to doubt what he was saying, unless Takeshi or Akio decided to tell the others. “Afterwards, Hideyoshi ordered us to leave him behind and continue with the mission. However, Akio-chan wouldn't want to leave without helping him, so she left him her first aid kit. I'm afraid that if we got ambushed and my sacrifice wouldn't help, she'd never have made it if she got wounded, since she gave up her first aid. That's very commendable, denoting I think highly of her for giving up something so valuable to her own life.”

Yamato couldn't really believe what he was hearing. Saburo.. actually had a brain. Nanda.. you listened when he told you to abandon him?” he asked, serious and looking less angry. He'd interrupt before Ayame and Tsukiko could say anything, or anyone else for that matter, which would probably annoy Tsukiko a bit, but so be it. “Hai, Yamato-senpai. Hideyoshi is my superior, and I have to listen to him. Otherwise the mission would've failed.” The usage of the senpai honorific might weird out the others that were present, but for Yamato it'd become the usual by now. Yamato kept silent for a bit, trying to compute the things Saburo had just said. “So... you follow orders. I see.” His demeanor was much more calm, and less angry and aggressive than he usually was. While not overly accepting of Saburo in any way or form, it seemed that Yamato had gained a newfound respect for Saburo - he still hated the boy and his stupid clan, with crazy hateful people in it, but he had to admit that it was smart to follow the orders of Hideyoshi, and it was the right move. You always had to listen to your superiors, even if you disagree with them. He'd done the same with Tsukiko, and he had followed her orders faithfully. Though, Tsukiko probably wasn't smart enough to realize that. Hierarchy was important to Yamato, and while he did not always show it in words, he did in actions. If Tsukiko had told him to attack everyone frontally and take down as many as he could before dying, chances are he would've done it. Maybe this 11th corps... maybe it wasn't so bad, Yamato thought to himself.

“Hm. I see. Thank you for the report, Saburo-kun. I'd rather have had Hideyoshi here, because this transfer between us and the land of Iron could get tough, but that's hardly your fault. Tsukiko-kohai, ...” she said after the entire conversation between Akio and Tsukiko was done, leading to Saburo having to wait a bit for confirmation, to which Saburo slowly bowed and backed away, returning to his position next to Akio. He'd still keep an ear out, listening to the conversation however. Yamato followed suit as well, walking away to the bridge and sitting against the heavy stone bridgepost, away from everyone else. Yamato sighed as he closed his eyes, shutting himself off from everyone around him. “Fucking Uchiha..” he said, oblivious to the fact that Takeshi was still behind him until he actually heard Takeshi talking to himself. Ey.. Takeshi-baka, get away from me and talk to yourself somewhere else, or shut the fuck up.

Meanwhile Ayame continued her conversation with Tsukiko. “.. any idea what's keeping Megumi-chan, and Fujitora-chan?” She'd smile and giggle softly again as she called her brother by a girly honorific again. Maybe she could sway Tsukiko and anyone else that heard it to call Fujitora by the same girly honorific, too.

Akio Tendou

Akio nodded along with Saburo's plan, agreeing with it from a practical stand point at least. In actuality, it kinda disturbed her how willing this guy was to take on all the danger and die for the mission. It was like he was a robot or a fanatic, blindly following every order given. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not really a good one either. She saw no point in arguing with him about it, however, as she just figured it was just the way he was. Who was she, a person he'd only just met, to tell him how to live his life. That being said, she still pondered the issue as they made their way to the the meeting point, only being broken out of her thoughts by Takeshi's muttering to himself.

Shortly after they had arrived, Tsukiko-nee and her team arrived, and after them them came the Team of the Hokages assistant, Ayame. Both asked for an explanation as to why their squad leader, Hideyoshi Sawada, was nowhere to be found, to which Saburo was quick to give. As her teammate gave his report, Akio couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed at the praise the Uchiha boy was giving her, as evidenced by the way she was pulling her hood down to cover her face a little bit more. While she knew that he was just stating facts and what not, she still wasn't used to getting a lot of praise, especially from people she didn't know, and didn't really know how to handle it. When Saburo asked for the scroll, she just gave a silent nod as she shrugged it offer her shoulders and gave it to him.

She only noticed after he had finished speaking that he had left a few things out about his behavior regarding the whole thing, but it wasn't anything she thought was worth bringing up right now. Maybe later on at the village she'd talk it over with Tsukiko-nee, but they were still on the clock right now, and thus, needed to focus on the mission. After Saburo had given his report, she decided to take a seat somewhere away from the group, giving a small nod to both of her teammates before sitting down near one of the bridge posts. Tsukiko-nee was in the middle of a conversation with Ayame, and she didn't want to interrupt them at the moment, so she decided to take this time to recuperate. She did give Yamato a glare for him yelling at Takeshi for know reason whatsoever, wanting nothing more than to pump his ass full of electricity and make the arrogant ass dance for her amusement. The very thought brought a smile to her face and a shine to her eyes.

Takeshi Ruzuzaki

Kannabi Bridge

Takeshi fought a smirk as Saburo spoke about Leaving Sawada. He chose to keep quiet about it, the uchiha knew how to handle thing and he didn't. Continue to think to himself. Processing idea on how to make himself much more better, Takeshi continued to mutter to himself as he paced himself on the bridge. Unknown to him, more and more of his teammates and arrived on the scene. the green haired ninja hardly acknowledge them, mainly because he was in a world of his own.

"Wow, i haven't seen you think this hard." his inner voice even tried to bring him out of his train of thought. But Takeshi waved him off.

"Yang....she could help me out.....Yeah...she could." a smile was plastered on his face "But....right now...I'm no better: what i am right now." He finally nodded to himself "I think i know what i have to do now."

“Ey.. Takeshi-baka, get away from me and talk to yourself somewhere else, or shut the fuck up.” Yamoto snarled at him, Takeshi looked up and Flipped him off.

"Eat shit and die Yamoto: ain't nobody got time for you shit: then, now and in the future." the green haired ninja walked towards Ayame Choko. "Choko-Taicho? Could i speak to you in private?"

A little further away from the main group. Ruzuzaki sighed and looked at her "...I wish to be taken of the active roster for the time being....this mission made it clear that i can't live up to being a Chunnin and i was nothing more than dead weight to Saburo and Akio..." Ruzuzaki smiled at her. "I'll be back: sooner or later....right now. I don't have a right to be a Shinobi."

"Please understand Taicho." Takeshi bowed a little in front of her and waited for her answer.

Sentou glared at her team's expression, she knew something was wrong and something that Ayame isn't telling her but all she could do is smile that the mission is over and she could go have some buffet with her mom.

The Great Aoi is happy as usual, Sentou got lots to talk about after this mission. But for now, it's time for the final touch and get things done by putting the Ronin in the cell. Sentou waved hello to Akio and Aoi, her two girl pals. Then a quick glare to Daiki, she said to him. "You and I. Talk in buffet after this."

The conversation where Sentou has no concern off: Ayame and Takeshi, happy go lucky as usual."Mom, let's have a buffet after this. Did I not do you proud enough? When I became Chuunin you promised." The aftermath of their mission results to Sentou being hungry like a wolf, using chidori all day perhaps makes her such a big eater. Then she got attracted to Yamato, she didn't know what to say but she felt offended with his usual attitude. Then there's the weird Saburo who is pretty much an upperclassmen like Haruka-senpai. If only she's here then it would be awesome but you can't wish for someone who's already departed, Sentou revels on the presence of her comrades.

Face palming on Takeshi's display; Sentou mocks Takeshi. "For someone whose goal is to become Hokage, you're calling quits already? Are you afraid scaredycat?" She giggled on Takeshi's weak display. "Judging from the looks of your face, you seem to have your ass handed to a fight. Right?" Sentou yaps at her rival.

Daiki Naito

Daiki walked alongside Haruka quietly. It felt odd … to him at least. Since the mission in Raijin, he had only seen the green-haired chuunin as a liability. And now, he was perhaps one of his greatest confidants. Weird how the world worked.

Now to tie up the sleeping Ronin. To make it easier, he waited for Haruka to place him against the tree before knotting the samurai himself. Once done, he raised out his crouch and with a meaningful stare, bent his head to Haruka in appreciation. I owe you a great deal,” he said after lifting his head back up. And I owe you an apology. Though I've never came out directly and told you, I've always thought you to be baggage. But … today, you've prove me wrong. You're not wearing that flak-jacket for no reason.”

Smiling, he strolled passed Haruka and upon seeing the group surrounding an unknown, approached. His walk was brisk and his involvement cautious. He didn't want to intrude on a important gathering of the team-leaders. Raising his brow, he caught Yamato amongst them. Reflexively his jaw tensed with agitation.

Captain Ayame wa there as well and though she had played along with Haruka; the group around her made him nervous. Some would call it being egotistical but Daiki just want to be sure his secret was safe. As the others began to speak, Daiki quickly registered the unknown as Saburo. Apparently he was the one being interrogated about Hideyoshi's disappearance.

Did Captain Sawada die?

Hmm. When the conclusion came, Daiki stuck his hand in his pocket and like the others dispersed. Before he could get far though, Sentou approached with a rather iffy demand. He looked around himself, the Kannabi Bridge was rather dull, not much there. Buffet? he wondered before replying back.

Yea, not gonna happen. I don't have anything to discuss with you, Sentou. We should keep our minds on the mission at hand. Not whimsical thoughts.”He stepped onward with those words in the air.

He sauntered about, taking note of the greenery and Kannabi Bridge itself. It was a spectacular display of lasting craftsmanship. It was impressive until a arrogant Minamoru invaded his sight. Daiki only stared. At the moment, the current mission was of the most importance but just looking at Yamato brought angst. Somewhere in Konoha right now, there was the Yakuza and Rejio was heading one of its vile nests. Spreading its plague through the village he loved.

Damned bastard. 'Paid him no mind before the pool-party debacle … but now he pisses me off without saying anything to me, he thought, heading to the sturdy tree not too far from the bridge.

Daiki leaned against the tree, his leg curled in while the other was bent at the knee. If only for a moment, he would try to get some rest. Not like he was tired but it was always good to be able to close his eyes and just watch everything disappear.

Aoi Don Maquia

And thus they departed from the wasteland they had riddled with bodies and blood. Yamato was trying to prove something, Tsukiko didn't agree, everything was as it should be. Like an obedient chuunin, she followed her superior's trail, no fuss no muss, along with her colleague Nobunaga. They were somewhat disconnected to the new tension created between Tsukiko and Yamato, and it seemed like they were having some typical race to the finish as they gained more and more distance. Eventually Yamato pulled back and pulled a babysitter act on them as if he was so much better. Behind his back, Aoi would form a mouth with her hand and simulate the irritated boy's blather while crossing her eyes toward the bridge of her nose, basically performing a derp. She'd then snicker quietly at the mockery she had just done.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the rendez-vous point, Kannabi bridge, a place that apparently had a lot of history a couple of centuries back. Aoi was quite surprised that so many people had gathered already, that two teams had already finished their missions before them. At first she felt a bit bad for not beating them to it, but then the clown remembered that she had managed to scavenge some pretty neat stuff while finishing the mission, so it was all worth it in the end. And now, she had a crowd.

Looking around a bit on top of a tree, saving her fabulous entrance for the perfect timing, she acknowledged the presence of everyone around and could deduce that two teams were missing. At least they weren't last. There was Daiki, being calm against a tree but with such a big audience it would be a waste to simply invade such a boring space. He'd have his glorious hello a bit later. There was then Sentou, but Aoi didn't want to get another kick in the face. She rubbed her cheek in remembrance of that party. Totally worth it, but would not do again. Finally, she detected a face she hadn't seen a while at all. Concealed behind a hoodie would do no good to that little lady as Aoi had the knack for choosing volunteers out of confusing masses. Smirking, she rubbed her hands together before jumping off the tree and bouncing off Sentou's head to annoy her.

"You won't get away!"

She yelled in battle cry as she jumped directly toward Akio Tendou, a pretty reserved girl she didn't get to see very often, especially since graduation. The biggest deal she had with Akio was the fact that the Tendou girl didn't attend to HER party. It was unacceptable and needed to be dealt with right away. She would try to tackle the girl, but it would only be a feint as she'd suddenly dive to the ground and land on her hands, only to swiftly bounce back and land her feet on Akio's shoulders. This was her typical way of saying hello to friends she required full attention from. Akio could feel a little weight on her shoulders when the clown would land but it would quickly feel light enough to be easily ignored.

"Hey! You got a lot of explaining to do Akio-chan~ We got a lot of catching up to do, actually! But you won't escape from me this time, mwahaha~"

She crossed her arms and simulated the evil laughter of a deranged maniac from a comedy film. At least she had done her eye catching entrance and had the full attention of Akio that way. At that point she somewhat zoned out from all the grown up conversation. She'd also peer down at the edge of the bridge Akio was righteously sitting on during the time of the pseudo-assault.

The words the younger chunin had spoken to him ... they were both reassuring and not at the same time. It was warming to know that he had obtained the approval of a colleague, but the very fact that others may have perceived him to be less-than-stellar at his duties only really served to reinforce his own views of himself. It was difficult performing in the field with his own mild depression weighing him down, but knowing that others could possibly be second-guessing him out of a belief (possibly justified, though he was personally hoping that it wasn't) that his competence was lacking. Haruka knew it was illogical to place so much emphasis on other's views of him, but he couldn't easily avoid their effects on his psyche.

"I might be more baggage than anyone else," murmured the green-haired ninja to Daiki's retreating back, before flicking his gaze over to the unconscious ronin tied up against the tree. This mission was bringing out more of him sombreness, and it gnawed at him. Focusing on the praise he had garnered for his actions, though not committed to his standards, was hard when negativity weighed on him, but he would try; after all, the philosopher had said: "The more man meditates upon good thoughts, the better will be his world and the world at large."

Haruka released a sigh, crossing his arms tightly before scanning the area. The team leaders were gathered separately from the assemblage of Konoha-nin, likely in order to discuss the results of their missions and what future plans were in store, while everybody else was loosely mingling amongst the trees that surrounded Kannabi Bridge. It seemed as if a final group had yet to arrive, and so there was really little that they could do but wait.

It was a bother, though he was a bit worried for the team that had yet to rendezvous with them.

"I suppose I should engage in something during the meantime," said Haruka quietly to himself, hands already moving into the form of seals. Practicing them was a form of relaxation and meditation for him, and it did help with his technique usage.

Ram. Snake. Tiger.

A simple clone. Intangible. Not an illusion, but an entity of chakra imposed upon the world. Had he been capable of mastering the Shadow Clone Technique (and possessed the chakra for heavy usage), the green-haired chunin possessed certain ideas on how to utilise the standard Clone Technique to its maximum benefit. However, he wasn't capable of using the more advanced variation, and so was limited to creating these empty, intangible shells of chakra that shared his likeness.

The false Haruka dissipated.

Again.

Ram. Snake. Tiger.

He would keep practicing until he was satisfied.
