Alright, mind if I start on a GM only prologue post? I really wanna write one for some reason so everyone can get a 'feel' of the themes that'll be abundant (i hope) at start.

Alright though, everyone's related to Howling Sands so you MUST end up with them. Remember though, this RP is going to be pretty grimdark, and we have plenty of happy-peppy dudes already. Again, read over the intro post at least and get a feel for how outnumbered and outgunned the PC's will be for quite a while. At most just six NCM's, against multiple super-corporations with giant flying military bases or tracked nuclear launch facilities, isn't exactly a fair fight in the long run.

I guess I'll go with the girl, since there's 2 male PCs. Gotta balance the genders!

Occasionally, there'll be a near super-robot level boss, like 'The Lost' in the characters tab. He might be a boss, he might not. depends on th PC's choices :3

I've got another quick question; is there any grunt NCM units that the Howling Sands field? I kinda wanna make do with a grunt unit and go from there.

There are 'grunt' NCM's coming soon, but Howling Sands blew most of their funds on even gaining access to standard NCM's, grunt NCM's are currently out of the question.

@LHG100 Got a Volkov NCM up, "Crimson Dawn". Its not as detailed as my personal one, but it's still pretty good

Name: Red Army QWZ-08.3B.48-G3 Model 21-4k Type 10S "Crimson Dawn"
Type: Medium Bi-pedal Assault NCM
Description:
One of Volkov Ltd's rare NCM, it has a light weight but strong armor to allow it to remain mobile and flight-worthy while still protected. With the help of a Mk.7B Thruster Jumper Wing Suit, it can fly and can fight to some degree. While its a mainline NCM, Volkov doesn't use it much as they don't trust NCMs in general. It lacks CQC weapons but specializes in long range combat.

Weapons:
- 1 x LR64-9 Linear Rail Cannon - Primary long range weapon similar to a sniper rifle. It sends tungsten shells flying at super high velocity, dealing huge amounts of damage and almost impossible to dodge by similar class mechs.
- 1 x Shielded Automatic Ordinance Cannon (SAOC) Mk.VI - A large cross-like shield with a auto-cannon in it. Its used both as the primary assault weapon of the Crimson Dawn. Layered composite allows and spaced bits gives it good armor and can deal decent damage when bashing with it.

Equipment:
- Mk.7B Thruster Jumper Wing Suit - An additional module often added to the Crimson Dawn units to give them flight. It is more like a glider unit powered by burst thrusters that fire every so often.

Ah, I suppose we won't be fielding end-game mechs until the plot progresses right? We'll go out with 'starter' ones, then as the plot develops, we will chance upon better alternatives?

Because right now, I am pretty tempted to bring up some OP-looking mechs. But depending on your say so, I'll refrain and start off with something less 'intimidating', since Howling Sands -is- running low on resources.

Yep, right now you're fielding GM's or lower-end gundams, not the Turn-A Gundam or anything. (as examples)

Most NCM upgrades will be by 'gundam-jacking' enemy NCM's by killing their pilots and dragging them back to the base, salvaging the wrecks for parts, 'acquiring' (read: stealing) enemy prototypes or discarded parts found on the field, and finally just buying the damn things.

If that's the case, should I downgrade the Phantom Zero? I'm worried it might be a bit too OP for the beginning parts

Feel free to down grade it some, but not too much.

Alright the changes I made:

- No longer has SMGs, pure melee minus the Black Orchestra missiles
- Hellbender can no longer be used a shield
- Stealth Driver doesn't make the Phantom Zero quiter
- Radar doesn't use echo location; no longer specialized against other stealth units
- Dropped the power engine a gneration and gave it battle damage that causes bad things if used aboe 90%
