@TheWindelDuring the afternoon break, the cafe was almost empty, the only ones there were Eos, Rikka, and Eiko, there was not even a single customer around. All the other Chasers had left for a reason or
Rikka and Eos were still playing with the musical instruments as the time went by slowly.
As things began to drag on in the day and Eiko intently cleaned several areas of the cafe including the back and front area, thoughs lingered in her head about her world and what could be happening, Eiko stared out of one of the windows in the cafe while she sat on a stool
"
] I wonder, what could the others be doing while I'm gone ? " Various different thoughs filled Eiko's head mixing her feelings up with worry and naive hopefullness."
I know Jun can hold her own and keep things from getting out of hand in anyway." Eiko told herself to try and calm down, soon her mind was wondering wondering if someone would come back.
Being alone with the machine and a ghost child seemed a little disturbing for her, she was slowly adjusting to the new world around her, but things still were creepy in her opinion.
Ikkime walked towards the door of the cafe and peered at the alleyway in which she saw eyes
"I wonder how Shiina is fairing..." she thought to herself and shook her head, getting thoughts of bad things from her mind. Pulling out her key, she opened the door and walked in, closing it behind her and turning to see Eos and Rikka playing and Eiko near the window.
"What's up hot stuff? Just enjoying life?" she joked at the girl, walking towards the counter and shifting through supplies
"Didn't think I would be back so soon, but it seems the damned Damsel forgot to get the list..." she squatted and shuffled around cleaning supplies and such.
When Eos heard the door opening she turned to it and watched Ikkime as she entered in the café, greeting her hearthly, acompanied by Rikka waving her bunny and smiling
"Welcome back, Ikki-san!"Eiko slowly looked in Ikkime's direction when she returned to the cafe, when the called Eiko "[i] hot stuff[i]" The petite woman cocked an eyebrow at the fox yokai wondering what she was getting at."
I'm not hot, the air in here is pretty cool really." Eiko responded to the complement the wrong way Ikkime would think she would.
Eiko then rose from her seat remembering what Ikkime said she would do eariler."
Ikkime, do you think the list can wait a bit ? I just want to get some fresh underclothes really, the last time I changed them probably had to been a fortnight till today, I haven't really had the time to just sit around and wash myself or change to much really, just hose or wash off and keep moving." She gave too much information and became a little quieter.
"
Sorry if I..Said too much, sometimes I don't realize how much I really reveal to others, I never really get to speak about myself to people, I'm usually just quiet and deadly." Eiko told her.
She damn near fell over from how the girl responded and she giggled to herself
"Note to self, joking compliments can easily go over peoples heads..." standing, she was quickly becoming fustrated
"where did that damn li-"She turned to see Eiko approach her and talk about clothes. Smiling she waved it off
"Of course, I dont mind at all helping you out love, you have my key, you could have just gone up there, but I'll help regardless" she got from behind the counter and motioned for the girl to follow
"Hey Eos, the door should be locked, we'll be back alright?" she said half guessing the robot was preoccupied with the ghost girl.
"I'll watch over it, don't worry, Ikki-san.""Dont worry about over sharing, it's quite alright, im a good listener and it doens't gross me out, it's very reasonable."Eiko just looked more confused by Ikkime making an outloud note to herself, but then she just shook it off as nothing but a thing yokai people may do or just other people"
I-I didn't feel that it would be right to go through another person's stuff, I thought that it would be wrong." Eiko told her as they both went up to Ikkime's room
."
I don't think you would want to hear completely about some of the things I've been through or see Ikkime, it's haunting." Eiko warned the yokai as she rubbed her eyes with her left hand, then gazed at her right hand, then felt her stomach with the same hand." Really haunting." she continued
The petite woman unlocked the door for Ikkime and held it open for the yokai feeling that she would feel more comfordable going first into her room, since it was her room really.
"Ah it's fine, all i have is my provactive underwear and bras, but those are well tucked away" she said jokingly and walked through the door, into her [url=http://i24.beon.ru/55/8/2580855/57/98395257/0c5329f97a3d.jpeg]room[/color] tapping on the wall, the room almost seemed to stir and come to life, crystals in the wall began to light
"You aren't the only one here with some scary encounters Ms.Eiko, for instance" she lifted her shirt and showed her stomach, showing dozen of scars and then an enormus X going from her left side, to the other, with her belly button in the middle.
"I was...maybe 100 when i got this? I ran into a youkai about the size of this building, she was the first to ever show me just have naive I can be, I'm not asking you to open yourself, but you shouldn't be afraid with us, we've all had hard times and it's the stories that make us chasers" she let her shirt down and looked around
"sorry about the mess by the way, I was doing a bit of...studying last night" she picked up books, sliding them onto shelves.
The rest of her room was filled with hundreds of things, some glowing, some shaking
"So what clothes?"Eiko gazed around the room looking at everything in the room she noticed it rememinding her of her own room in a way, but if it had a lot of fansty items and crystals around the room, she didn't get what Ikkime ment about bras being tucked away and was about to aske about it but she just stopped herself.
She closed the door behind them and listened to Ikkime while gazing at her stomach scar, when Ikkime was finished Eiko took off her apron and slowly removed the costume, she placed the costume on Ikkime's bed, along her back she had many scars, but Eiko was gonna show Ikkime a scar that was different from the others.
The petite woman pointed to her lower abdomen where there was a thin stitch like scar going from one hip to the other."
I got this after watching my father die, I was pregnate with a child, when I was 16, I gonna tell my dad, but he protected me and died in the process. I got this from a doctor who said they accidently killed my child, they told me this months after I awoken from my coma. and the news of it made me break down and cry for once in months." Eiko shared with the yokai.
Eiko then tried to change the subject."
The doctor that accidently killed my child suffered for what she did though, but before I could take her out she cut me open a second time and...Tied me up on the inside...In the end I made sure that hell burned a lot less hotter for her." Eiko shared even more."
I just need some underwear really, I don't want to take too much really."
Ikkime stayed silent to the girl and listened to her story, once she finished she patted the girls shoulder
"And i am truly sorry for your loss Eiko, I'd like to believe loss in ones life makes them stronger and you most likely are from that" she let go and she waved for Eiko to walk past the wall of books and into her closet.
Turning on the light, she waited for Eiko to follow, before talking
"Trust me, you wont be taking much, I'm not to sure if I have any bras since we differ in size, but underwear im sure will fit you, take whatever you like, I'll be by my desk, till then, the door to the left is my shower, so feel free to take one as well, towels are on the left" she flashed a smile, before sitting at her chair and rolling across the floor to her stack of papers again looking for the list.
The petite woman stayed silent not wanting to speak, she just followed behind of Ikkime into her closet, she looked around for underwear and found a pair of boyshorts, she collected them along with some black slacks and white button up shirt, she put the clothes outside of the shower before she went in.
When Eiko got into the shower and let the warm water hit her it felt comfordable, like days of pain and suffering were just washing away, she used some of Ikkime's soap to clean her self up and when she was finished she toweled herself off. Before Ikkime could sift fully though the stack of papers she had on her desk, Eiko had gotten dressed and silently appeared behind of Ikkime and touched her shoulder."
The list is there." Eiko pointed to a list of various objects that she hoped was what Ikkime was looking for.
Ikkime jumped and papers fell
"Ho shit! God damn crazy ass ninja, my guard is down when were in the cafe..." she sighed and looked at what the girl was pointing at a list. Picking it up, she raised her fists in triumph
"Fuck yeah, thank you! Now back to the store, Lucille is probably freaking out as we speak" she said jokingly as she walked towards the door "Um just lock the door behind you and stuff, I'll wait for you if you need to do anything else" she walked out the door and waited in the hall way, just in case the girl wanted to do anything else.
Eiko locked the door behind the two and doubled checked it by trying to twist the knob only for it to resist opening, she began walking down the stairs and pocketed the key to Ikkime's room.
Ikkime followed her down the stairs and went to the counter making sure she didn't leave anything. She stretched and went over to Eiko before leaving.
"Well Ms.Eiko, hold down the fort, I'll be back shortly" she winked and patted the girls shoulder again
"Say, next time, instead of talking with our mouthes, I say we put them to better use" she joked, and winked.
Walking towards the door, she began to open it, then her eyes flashed purple
"wait...is he her-?" she realized it to late. A hand was sent through the door with blue electricity surronding it. Clutching Ikkime's throatoat, shocks were sent all over her body, making scream in pain, before being pulled through the door and held up.
Mizura stood, his eyes glowing blue "Hello again, my dear little sister, Oh how!-" he slammed her into the ground and picked her back up "I've!-" slamming her into the concrete, making a crater and picking her dazed and beaten body again "missed you..." he threw her body through the broken door and she flew into the back wall, making another crater and falling.
She landed on her stomach and weakly looked up at Eiko, struggling to get up "Eos, start the Distress Alarm system and get Rikka out of here..." she got up and used the table help herself up. She spit up blood and wiped her mouth as her wounds began to heal.
Eos was shocked when Ikkime was sent back into the café, flying through the doors and smashing against the wall. The first thing she did was hiding Rikka in the kitchen and telling the ghost girl to not come out until she or one of the other girls called her.
Then, Eos ran to Ikkime's side and tried her help get back to her feet
"Ikki-san! What happened? Are you hurt somewhere?" At the same time, her usual dress vanished and was replaced by her combat
attire, anime character-looking security cameras that usually lay still at the café's wall detached themselves and flew to e-OS's side waiting for her command. Along with it, e-OS activated the café distress signal, so that the other chasers, would know that they are under attack, however it would take them a time to arrive back here, until then it was up for the three of them (Ikkime, e-OS and Eiko) to defend the place.
e-OS looked outside the café using one of her drones and saw that the place was besieged by an army of enemies, though they looked like nothing but cannon fodder, except for the two that were leading them. She turned to look the man who apparently had attacked Ikkime and said
"I don't know who you are or what you're doing here, but this is our home and these are my family that you've attacked. I'll give you all one chance of going back, since you haven't made any irreversible damage yet. Takeit, or else..." e-OS finished her statement by summoning a dozen more drones that hovered in the air, ready for attacking.
After hearing Ikkime suggest using their mouths for something else Eiko felt a little naive about about what she ment and said."
I'm not the one for sweets, my mother never really allowed me to eat any before." Eiko told her still not understanding what she ment.
The second Ikkime began leaving the cafe she was soon grabbed by some guy and chucked back into the the cafe, she slammed into the wall and hit the floor face first, Eiko fliped over the cafe's counter and checked on Ikkime as Eos put the ghost girl in the kitchen.
Eiko kneeled down to Ikkime's level saying." I don't think this is what Shiina means for people to come back soon." Eiko said to the beat up yokai. When Eos came back and started to ask Ikkime questions and her dress disappated during her questioning, suddenly the cameras began to rip from the walls and Eiko ducked before one could slam into her head.
While drones began to surround and fill the cafe Eiko felt like Eos had the situation handled, but before things could go back to being good, Drones began to explode one by one abruptly, followed with the sounds of loud almost ear piercing shots that sounded like a giant sniper rifle being fired from across the street.
Suddenly one of the cameras that Eos had on her shoulder exploded from a sniper shot, and unlike a tradtional sniper, the shooter was moving towards the cafe, they were literally across the street on the sidewalk with a bigass sniper. The shooter was a white haired
Woman in a battle suit.
She aimed her next shot at Eiko, but Eiko kicked Eos to the ground before dropping to the floor as a round was fired off, the sniper's bullet grazed the side of Eiko's face as she tried to dodge the bullet. The woman sighed feeling annoyed, she put the rifle onto her back and approached the cafe, she walked up next to Mizura seeing everyone else."Aww, what's wrong sweetie ? No more drones ?" The woman asked Eos.
Eiko looked over the machine as she laid on the floor."
This a friend of yours Eos ?"
As the assault began, e-OS was momentarily surprised when her drones were destroyed in rapid sucession, until Eiko kicked her out of the path of some bullets and asked if she knew anything about their attackers.
"I don't know who they are, Eiko-san, but we'll have to protect the café untill Onee-sama and he other comes back." The android then turned to the unknown woman
"I don't know who you're but stay away from here, or..."After that, e-OS summoned another array of drones and said
"Command: Shooting Star!" with that the drones assumed a flying pattern like a five pointed star and shot a warning shot, with their plasma lasers.
"Next time I won't miss!" Came the robot girl, last warning.
The woman smiled seeing that more drones arrived to the area, but she didn't take kindly to e-OS' warning shot." Now, sweetie, your only slowing down my job, and your so call creators said I don't have to bring you back with all of your drones or limbs, but I just do enjoy the bullet fodder you keep throwing my way." The woman told Eos
She pulled out two pistols and fired at all of the drones, and as they began to retaliate, the woman dodged the drone's attacks hopping from the counter, to the floor, and to some of the cafe's tables.
As she dodged she fired off dozens of bullets from the pistols reletenlessly makinng the drones explode one by one as they crashed into the floor below, the woman then shot more of the security camera drones that were Eos's body making them explode as well." Don't you see it ? I know you, and everything you do, everything you think, you can't even do something without me knowing the reaction of it." The woman explained.
"You're destroying our home! Please stop!" e-OS shouted an uncharcteristic rage was staring to well in her chest. She summoned more drones and had them fire in a tight pattern that would be much harder to dodge than the previous one.
Eiko pulled her knife out the back of her pants slowly with her right hand as the two spoke." This little piece of shit diner hangout was where you were hiding ?, it doesn't even deserve the presence I give this place. But it does deserve to be burned to the ground like most of the other weird crap in this country."
As more drones appeared The woman felt happier to have something to shoot at." Aww, all of these for little old me ?" she droped the two magizines in her pistols and reloaded." Well I can say that I brought you back kicking and screaming like some child throwing toys at me."
In almost a blur and almost simliar to Shiina, the woman fired at all of the drones taking them out one by one while appearing as just a blur to all of them, as the last drone began to fall the assassin spoke.
" Didn't you hear me ? I know all your little holding patterns and drone's weak spots, nothing you do can stop me." She said as the last drone exploded in front of her and Eiko.
"
What about me ?!" Eiko yelled throwing her knife at the woman, instead of dodging the blade the woman blocked it with one of her arms and the blade went completely through her forearm, and suddenly sparks started to come from the wound instead of blood.
"
What the ?" Eiko seemed flummoxed by the woman's cyborg limb.
" Well it looks like a challanger appears, but are you good enough to take me on ?" The woman pulled the knife out of her arm and threw it at E-os hoping to hit her, but Eiko caught it with her right hand revealing her robotic arm.
" Ahh, so we're not so different you and I. But sadly for you challanger, I have all my limbs replaced unlike your solo limb."
Eiko spun her knife around in her right hand for stabbing and rushed the woman who turned into a blur in a mere instant and kicked Kick in her chest throwing the petite woman into the air, then the mechincally limbed woman punched Eiko into the ground almost shattering the floor under Eiko.
Everything happened in just a blur, and before e-OS knew why, Eiko was splattered in the floor, with the mysterious woman pressing her with a foot, taking a sadistic glee in the smallish cyborg's pain.
"Eiko-san!" e-OS shouted sounidng quite enraged,
"Get away from her!" She then summoned more drones and shot the woman with a cross patern, that should be impossible to dodge at such a close range.
"
Eos ! don't just sit there ! If you want to protect the cafe then do it ! " Eiko yelled in pain, she punched the woman in the face a couple times with her right hand, but her hits did next to no damage to the cyborg woman, soon the woman picked Eiko up by her neck and held her up in the air, she slowly began to strangle Eiko.
When the woman saw the cross pattern, she used Eiko as a shield to the blast from the drone and put away her pistol, she pulled out a small rifle with the buttstock removed and with twin drum ammo magazines, she aimed at all of the drones with one hand and fired the weapon.
Each bullet fired instantly destroyed the drone, and the weapon was fired with accuracy unlike any other, it was oddly very accurate for a weapon that looked like it would be hard to control. When she was finished with the new batch of drones." Aww, that last wave almost threw me over the edge, send ano-" Before she could finish Eiko put her right hand over the woman's face.
Before the woman could react Eiko shocked her face and head with her right arm. The woman dropped the weird weapon onto the floor and dropped to her knees, and let go of Eiko's neck, Eiko turned to Eos and glared at her, the back of her shirt was burned from the lasers that were shot from the drones and showed her bare back.
"I said to let Eiko-san go!" e-OS shouted enraged as she summoned a large group of drones inside the café and another one above it. The ones inside shot a net of lasers that would force the woman to dodge in a specific pattern only to be hit by a concentrated fire of the one's who hovered outside.
"I'll kill you if you don't hear me!" the android girl shouted as tears of rage began to streak down her face.
The cyborg woman got back to her feet as Eiko hopped back over the counter with the woman's weapon, the cyborg woman back flipped out of the cafe and into the street out of the way of fire of the drones, and since she didn't have a shield to cover herself from the laser storm inside.
Ikkime had been blown back into the back, as the other two started fighting the unknown new enemy.
"Ikkime...Ikkime...IKKIME!" she was woken up in her mind, the area completely white, and she in the middle. An enormous fox sat looking at her, watching her, it's purple eyes glaring at her.
"Hello again little one..." Ikkime wasn't able to talk, only enough energy to sit on her knees.
"It seem's Mizura and Chihiro came back, do you think you can beat them without me?" the fox watched Ikkime in interest. It stood up and walked towards Ikkime
"You know the answer, and you know once I return, I wont be leaving again, so what are you going to do? Let your fear kill your friends, or you gonna run with the big dogs?!" the fox growled and lunged towards her. Ikkime stood suddenly and grabbed the foxes snout and slammed her to the ground. Letting go, Ikkime stood over the fox, her eyes watching the glowing purple that the fox had. The fox cowered and raised it's head, waiting for Ikkime to reseal the bond that the two had severed so long ago. Putting her hand on the foxes snout, the room became purple.
"Lets do this..."A strange purple glow game from out behind the curtain that was blocking off the main cafe and the back cafe. A deafening howl came from the back, and Mizura stood at the top of building across the way watching the the two fight his new...group member. Chihiro, his wolf, appeared
"They're finally here..." the wolf looked at Mizura.
"I know..." putting his hand on the wolves head, his eye's glowed blue and he gritted his teeth
"The Fox and the bitch came out to play again..."The mysterious woman jumped out of the café just as e-OS unleashed a barrage of
plasma lasers that that covered every inch of the store with beams of concentrated energy before finishing the assault with an overhead blast that punched a hole through the roof. It was only after she almost blew the whole store apart that she stopped.
After that she collapsed, the last thing that she saw was a strange purple glow coming out of the back of the store, where Ikkime was.
You should watch this while reading the fight!Mizura jumped down and ignored Eiko "My fight is not with you, this one is mine, i've been waiting decades for this..." he spoke to his new partner and he could feel Ikkime moving inside. The smoke began clearing, until suddenly, a fox like being had lunged forward through the smoke towards Mizura. He caught the steadly approaching clawed purple paw/hand and pulled her forward even further. Using his other hand, it started glowing blue and then was completely ingulfed in matching aura like looks. Slamming his fist in Ikkime's back, it almost looked like she was struck with lightning and thunder quickly sounded after his hit. Kicking the purple being, he grinned "You're rusty, for someone that almost killed me, you have sure lost your tou-" Ikkime appeared behind him, kicking him in the side, and sending him across into the Cafe outside wall.
Mizura landed feet first, and pushed off, leaving behind yet another crater. He barrelled towards Ikkime, tackling her and sending both of them into the ajacent building. Rolling away, Mizura raised his hand and sent a dozen lightning bolts at her. As the dust began to clear, Ikkime was no longer there. Mizura looked around, closing his eyes, he heard her movement around him but couldn't find her. Opening his eye's he turned to the light outside, only to see a car being sent towards him. Forming a katana, he not only sliced the car in half, but the ceiling and floor. Ikkime used the car as a diversion and followed quickly behind the thrown car, Mizura not realizing and seeing her to slow to react. She grabbed his face, putting him under her feet, and slid on his body. Picking him up with her tails, she threw him up, through the concrete ceiling on the business building into cubicals.
Mizura rolled to the side and jumped up, running, as purple tails began slamming up through the floor. Mizura ran towards the window, smashing through it and jumping out, he turned and raised one of his hands, his eyes now intensly glowing. The instantly turned black and blue, a flash happened, then suddenly a HUGE blue beam rained down on the building. He rolled to a landing and stood waiting for Ikkime's next attack. From within the now collapsed building, seven giant tenticle like things emerged from the rubble, waving like snakes. They all started towards Mizura, who formed another lightning blade, he began to parry left and right as they swung at him. Using more power, he elongated the blade and handle, and quickly sliced one in half.
A Roar came form within the rubble and Ikkime appeared suddenly in the air above Mizura. He stood at a swordsmen stance as Ikkime latched the tenticles to the ground and sent herself towards Mizura. As she was sent at blinding speeds towards him, a kick being sent towards his chest. Mizura slashed upwards, his blade cutting a building behind Ikkime in half and exploded it as it traveled up towards Ikkime. She used one her tails to block the blade from touching her and succesfully made a connecting kick to his chest. Kicking him into the ground and causing a huge creator. Ikkime stood over him, punching him in the face a dozen times before stopping and she lifted her head "RA-!" an engulfed blue hand grabbed her, by her throat.
New Battle theme!Mizura rose up as the top half of his rob was ripped off, Ikkime's throat in his hand. Cuts on his face began to heal and he looked calmly at the little fox being in his hands. Ikkime struggled as Mizura began squeezing and she started to send her tails towards him, but Mizura took his other hand and brutuallly punched Ikkime in the stomach, an electric discharge going off out the back of Ikkime. Throwing her up in the air with ease, it seemed he moved to fast for the naked eye to see and opened one hand forming another light Katana. Ikkime quickly approached him and he moved his blade downward, it suddenly hitting the ground next to Eiko who was a ways away and made a cut through the road until it connected with Ikkime. He moved the blade down slightly and she was sent flying down into the ground. Appearing right next to where she was going to land, he waited until her body hit the road and bounced up, before taking both fist now engulfed in blue and slamming them into Ikkime's stomach, making the girl cough up even more blood.
The purplefox being laid broken, but Mizura picked up Ikkime by her face, pulling her closer "I want you to feel the pain you made me feel when you killed father" he sent off a charge and it shocked Ikkime painfully "I want you to burn like you made mother" he sent off another charge this one even more powerful "I want you to be scarred like you left me..." he threw her upwards and raised his left hand. Blue wolf ears appeared above his head and his eyes seemed to almost radiate a blinding blue. The sky around Ikkime cleared and showed orange in a hole of the clouds. He moved his hand down slowly and jumped back, the very sound of the world almost seemed to stop for four whole seconds as Ikkime stared off into the beautiful oranage sky. Then as soon as the beauty came, another huge beam of blue engulfed Ikkime's body and hit the ground, thunder shook the ground intensely and the beam disappated.
"Stop!"It took some time for Lucille to get herself over to the action but she had finally managed. When the first attack was dropped she had taken cover along with the others. After all, it wasn't too hard to convince Mister Mori to follow her. Only when the fighting was clear did she dare to venture outside, drawn by the sounds of battle.
Now here she stood, seemingly unaffected by Mizura's light blinding attack as she stood defiantly in her maid uniform. She held her parasol in trembling hands, red eyes flicking to Ikkime's broken form and then to Mizura. And yet even as she did so, a fraction of something more reflected in her eyes towards the man. Something ancient and unspeakably horrid.
"P-Please, that's enough! Leave Ikkime-san alone or I'll...I'll....I'll do something horrible with my parasol!"Mizura looked back at the girl "I've done what i've waited for for hundreds of years, killing her will only give her satisfaction..." and turned, jumping into the air and disappearing in a blue flash.
When Mizura disappeared, Lucille felt the strength leaving her body, as a wave of relief surged through her body, and dropped to the ground on her knees
What in the world is happening here?" She asked gazing empty eyed at the scenery of desolation around her.
The world seemed to stop for a moment as lightining and thunder rained down from the skies, everyone was blinded and deafened momentarily by the
blast, except for two persons.
Rikka came runing out of kitchen scared by the sounds of the fight and the destruction that was happening around her. When she saw Eos on the ground she ran to the android's side and tried to wake her up while small tears appeared in her tiny eyes. She looked around to see if there was someone to help Eos, but the only other people moving was the mysteroious woman, who was ready for the mighty flashbang way before the fight started.
The woman approached the two and kicked the little girl into the wall." This place was a shit hole anyways, now it just fits the description even better, I almost wish to see the look on those motherfucker's faces when they come back to their wrecked home." The woman gently lifted Eos off of the ground in both her hands and walked out of the cafe, she set the robot girl down before she returned inside with a lighter.
The woman threw the lighter to the floor and everything began to burn inside the front of the cafe, the woman picked Eos back up and jumped to one of the roof tops and disappearing from sight as the inferno built up inside of the cafe's small walls, and the air grew heavy, smoke plumes began to fill the air and filled the sky with a dark greyish color, only Shiina could feel that the cafe was in trouble, but deep down she hoped it was just the rivals across the street buildng.
