I made a duo thread with this and got some interest, so decided to make a separate one just in case first. Also I'll be gone a few days anyway so I did not want to start an OOC.

Diary Entry 4256: My newest batch of test subjects have proven to be quite enjoyable. It is quite rare that I get such wonderful specimens that so readily proves to me my work has merit. They all express quite a variety of quirks, some more impressive than others, but the largest feat is that these particular experiments have managed to retain their intelligence. Imagine the possibilities! Biological weapons with personalities of their own, capable of intelligent thought and strategy, they would prove the perfect addition to my plans once I find a way to break them.

Diary Entry 4268: I have perhaps made them too good, normal methods of control have proved ineffective, it is as if I have been cursed with unruly children which is something I am quite familiar with but unlike my family, they feel no great love for me. I did not want to use traditional mind control as it would stunt their imagination but I figured I had no choice; however, that also proved ineffective, I will need stronger measures if I am to bend them to my will.

I will need to transport them to one of my more advanced laboratories to finish the job. The possibilities I see are endless! Soon the world will be forced to recognize my talents and cater to my whims! No one will have the power to stand against my machinations!

Diary Entry 4270: An absolute disaster! The heavily armored transportation vehicle that was taking the specimens to one of my best labs met with an unforeseen accident. Some drunkard had a heart attack while driving a semi which overturned the vehicle and damaged the locks. By the time my operatives had arrived the experiments had already fled the vehicle and are now loose in Edge City! I will not be denied this breakthrough! I will hunt them down by any means necessary and bend them to my will on my pride as the doctor of this century!

Evil NPCs

• Dr. Richter Veiss: The main villain who is a literal mad scientist who is unafraid of delving into the most unethical of practices for science and his own machinations. He is not alone in his schemes and actually has a sizable family to help further his goals.
• Dr. Maria Veiss: The wife of Dr. Richter she can be a cruel mistress who enjoys the suffering of her experiments. A Sadist, at times she can seem much more evil than Dr. Richter who enjoys the scientific part of his experiments more than what his subjects feel. Still she is a mother and dotes on her children extensively.
• Dr. Robert Veiss: 1st son of the evil doctors he is the head of his father's cybernetics division and believes in the advancement of humanity through machine integration.
• Dr. Vicktor Veiss: 2nd son to the family, he is the head of the Mutagenics Department and works tirelessly to perfect his abominations. A fan of trial and error his laboratories are littered with failures that he will often discard or recycle their genetics for the next batch.
• Pr. Talia Veiss: 1st daughter to the pair but third born, Talia holds a rather unique spot in the Family Tree. Instead of a doctor she is a professor and archeologist, her passion for the past and the secrets held within. Her interest is in magic and how to use the arts of old to aid her family, but because of her rather unique pursuits and seemingly unscientific interests she is not seen in as good a light as her brothers and yearns for the time she can prove her theories.

Rules

• No Godmodding for obvious reasons. There may be times when you are at odds with another character and you fight so try to make the fight enjoyable for all parties involved.
• No matter what powers you have you are not invincible, if you fight stupidly expect your enemies to punish you for it.
• Romance can happen, but of course lets make sure no kiddies accidentally stumble in on something that should not be there. If you really feel you need to do that kind of stuff, there is the marvelous little invention called the PM. I am not against romance in the slightest and can be a good way to add character development but be smart about it.
• The Evil Mad Scientist of this roleplay, me has the final say in all matters. When I am not around I hope to find a co-gm that can take care of business if needed.
• Go out there and make a awesome story! We want action, adventure, intrigue, suspense, romance, surprises, and so on. Shape the world a little bit yourself will ya and don't leave it all to me.

Name: Ille Krueger (first name pronounced 'eel')

Appearance:

Experiment Type: Dark Magic from Pr. Talia Veiss and a bit of Cybernetics from Dr. Robert Veiss

Powers: Due to the Dark Magic experimentation, when Ille becomes hostile towards a target, the target will begin to halucinate as long as the target is within a 10 ft radius of her, said halucinations vary. Due to the Cybernetic experimentation, Ille now has increased agility and speed, which she takes advantage of by running on all fours often, and has been implanted with a hidden row of needle sharp surgical steel teeth behind her natural ones.

Weaknesses: Since she has both Dark Magic and Cybernetics, it has taken quite a toll on her body and has made her rather thin, which means brute strength is out the window. Her eyes are now completely white and she can now only see in a black and white thermal spectrum, completely unable to tell one person from another by looks and has to focus on other identifiable aspects. Also she has developed sensitivity/intolerance to heat and can pass out easily in high temperatures. However, this also means that her body temperature is now naturally low and colder temperatures generally won't effect her and its difficult for her to be picked up by any heat sensor. The Dark Magic has warped her mind to the point of possible insanity, she can no longer speak normally and has caused her to speak backwards, and has caused her to develop vampirism.

Name: Bethany Hooke

Appearance

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Experiment Type: Biological, with heavy microbiology and symbiosis. Entirely a "child" of Dr. Vicktor Veiss, and in fact the microbes used in the experiment were a product of Vicktor's attempts to recycle defective biological matter.

Powers: Biological assimilation. Colonies of unique microbial life living in the body(the "heart" of the colony is the appendix) can break down any biological matter in a much larger format than typical digestion. Digestion, of course, simply breaks matter down for its chemical energy. These colonies break biological matter down into larger pieces, and can assimilate them for various purposes.

1) Repair. These micro-organisms are in every part of the body, and an open wound exposes them. Any biological matter can be applied, and the micro-organisms will rearrange it to patch the damaged area. Matter that is already broken down saves the microbes a step, and allows quicker repair. This has the added benefit of making infection impossible, as any pathogen that tries to infect will simply be assimilated.
(Layman's terms: rub organic stuff into wounds, heals. Rotting stuff can heal quicker. Gross!)

2) Mimicry. The microbes "learn" to reconstruct things they have deconstructed before. Macro-biological structures can be recreated in the hosts pre-existing system of organs. The microbe's integration into the host's nervous system allows them to be directed in this task, but not entirely controlled. Occasionally they will make apparent executive decisions, and mimic structures against the host's will.
(Layman's terms: Eat a plant? Get chlorophyll and photosynthesize! Bite a snake's head off, acquire venomous fangs!
But also: got sprayed by a skunk? Microbes think that's a fantastic defense mechanism, and reconstruct it on your body).

Cleansing: The body can be reset completely to normal with about a pint of healthy human blood(ingested or injected). The host cannot target which mimicked faculties to remove, so a body reset is a last resort if unwanted characteristics are present. The microbes work fast, but depending on the level of change, it could take up to two hours to fully restore the body.

Weaknesses: The cleansing function of the microbes is well documented(and intentional) by Dr. Veiss, and can be used as a weapon to remove any extra "powers" the host has acquired. A few hypo darts loaded with human blood will return the host to normal. It is also possible to assimilate features quite accidentally, and they are not always beneficial.

Bio: Bethany was raised, quite intentionally, by only her mother. She was homeschooled, and brought up as a vegan with a thorough respect for all living things. She didn't have much opportunity to socialize, and when her mother died of a preventable illness, there was no where for her to go. When she lost the apartment they had previously shared she ended up on the streets, where she was quickly picked up by the resident mad scientist.

The power is pretty cool. It seems like it could be a very fun character in any situation, really. As for personality, I suggest naive, imaginative child. It just seems like it would fit, in my opinion. Do whatever you want with it though.

Experiment Type: Jude was given a new robot body, built for him by Dr. Robert Veiss

Powers:

• He is able to lift about 400 Lbs. of weight
• He is made of steel, able to take much more damage than a human. About double the amount in both pressure and temperature.
• He has two blades in which he is very proficient at using.
• He has standard color vision, thermal vision, and X-ray vision.
• He has a compound bow with 10 reusable arrows.
• He has an AI implanted in his robot body, that triples his thinking speed, short-term, and long-term memory.
• He has afterburners in his back, able to give him a quick speed boost. They fling him at about 30 MPH, for about 3 seconds at max.

Weaknesses:

• A simple EMP grenade will incapacitate him for about 10 seconds.
• His wounds do not heal, he must repair them.
• His steps are loud, and his cooling fan constantly emits a soft hum.
• After more than 3 seconds of use, his Afterburners begin to melt him.
• If one were to hack into him, they could largely restrict his free will.
• He is reckless in combat, and not a team player.
• He has not used his bow much, and knows little about bows work.

Bio: Jude was a simple boy. Born in a small city, and born into a loving, but poor, family. He was frequently depressed, and felt he didn't fit in at school. He wasn't ridiculously smart or athletic, so he felt he didn't have any strengths. That was, until he found out about Kendo. He was a sword fighting prodigy; he loved it, he practiced everyday, and it gave him self-esteem and ambition. But when he was 15, he was put in a coma due to a car accident he got into while he was walking home from school. His family spent all their money trying to save him, and went into crippling debt. But he wasn't able to be saved, and the Styles were left with no son, and no money. Then, Veiss showed up, and offered all debts wiped, for the brain of their son. Very reluctantly, they agreed. 3 years later, Jude was revived- and he didn't like it.

Why don't you tell me what you think of mine? I already have things mostly worked out, but any criticism is greatly appreciated.

Jordan Jaegers

Name: Jordan Jaegers

Experiment Type: Mutagenics - Through days of torturous experimentation he was perfected. Jordan was gifted with an array of additional organs and muscles all throughout his body which would give him enhanced:

Powers:Strength - able to lift 600lbs with little to no effort
Speed - able to reach a top speed of about 80mph
Durability - Able to withstand extreme levels of hot or cold
Dark Arts - He was Given the ability of cosmetic change to hide his true appearance, due to the addition of the muscles it causes his body to look like a hulking mass of muscle. The good professor however using her dark arts shrank the size of the additional muscles causing others to see him as a normal 18yr old boy.

Weaknesses: While concealed to most the additional muscles are still there and so are the additional veins, Jordan has to great weaknesses:
1) with all the extra muscle he was left With only one heart. This means while he can perform amazing feats of strength he can only keep it up for at longest 20min any longer he runs the risk of his heart bursting in his chest.
2) Like a cheetah he can only keep up his maximum speed for about 15min before his legs give out and are all but useless for the next hour or so.
with both of his weaknesses having time restraints he wears a two timers one on his leg the other on his arm his armband is always set with a 20min timer, and his ankleband set to 15min. before he uses either of his abilities he will start the appropriate timer. should either of these be tampered with or taken away he will not use the desired ability

Bio: Monster, brute, psycho, these were a few of the names Jordan suffered with coming up from the kids and even some of the adults in his neighborhood. But it wasnt his fault he was big for his age (14), it also didnt help that he was adopted and felt like a burden on his adoptive parents so at the age of fifteen he ran away thinking it would make things easier on his parents he thought nothing of there feelings. this ultimately caused him to be placed again in another orphanage that a family came to and were looking for a strong child and instantly noticed him this family was sent on orders of the doctor to acquire him specifically but never adopted he was bought and since there was no papertrail noone would come looking aside from his name his mind was wiped and the experiments had begun...
