Sorry, but I'll have to refuse this idea. I find half-horses to be...unsavory.
good heavens! I saw this comment, and because of my experience with the internet, my imagination immediately assumed someone brought up ponies... THANKS INTERNET!
@Shoryu Nothing wrong with a cute pony girl, but they also won't fit in the RP, genetic manipulation involved or not.
@redbaron1234 No, they don't have to. In fact, my character's mecha is only vaguely humanoid.
The use of a W40k reference makes my approval rise, whether realized or not. Even if the Tau are not a favorite of mine. I should have my CS done in the next hour or so before I go fall asleep.
Yikes, our units really are EVA-sized. Makes me wonder how we manufactured weapons that big.
@Penultimate_Pi The pilot's picture isn't working. As for the Framewerk, independent deployment of the shoulder weapons is a bit too much. Switching between the main weapon and the shoulder weapons for different situations is fine. Otherwise an excellent sheet.
The picture worked fine for me; I'll see about some alternate solution. I fixed up what you asked and added a drawback - the primary and secondary weapons systems noted cannot operate at the same time. The missiles and shield will still work at any time, which I presume is okay.
@Eisenhorn Yes, it was fully realized. 40K is awesome. It's not going to operate like a stealth unit, however.
@Penultimate_Pi Desperate times call for desperate measures. Pacific Rim is a pretty good example of how mecha of that size would work in real life, if you want to check out a good flick.
Now the pic's working. Can't go wrong with BRS.
The missiles and shield are fine. The sheet's now accepted.
[*]Age: 14 [*]Personality: He has big shoes to fill and he is trying his best. But the doubt can be seen, its in his pose and in his voice. He acts uncertain when made to over-think things, he is 'passionate' when driven and reckless to prove himself. [*]Motive to live: "I fight, flora beautiful world." [*]Background: Imagine that you're holding on to two bottles and they drop on the floor. What happens? They both break. But it's how they break that's important. Because, you see, while one bottle crumples into a pile of glass, the other shatters into a jagged-edged weapon. You see, the exact same environment that forged older brother into a warrior crushed baby brother. Now here's the twist, the runt is the older brother.
Its no surprise the world was hell in a handbag, day by day it was getting more different. The two boys thought they were safe in aristocratic society, one of those big folk who buy their way out of trouble. the kids engaging in pointless arts like horseback riding and rapier fighting, that is until the colony they lived on was destroyed. The two survived in an escape pod worth more than most spaceships and worth every penny. They were rescued and prepped for having survived first contact with the enemy, the bigger stronger brother was fitted for an armor, but he couldn't take the stresses of the training and took his own life. "The world is so, damn, ugly." were the last words on his bloody lips. [*]Notable Deaths: His twin brother. The one who the mech was made for. 6'0", 150 lbs
[*]Other things: If there is anything else you believe that needs telling, say so here. >/List] ________________________________________
Framewerk Sheet
Framewerk Code Name: Rose
Appearance:
Signature Weapon System: Rose whip: A reached melee weapon system made for adaptability on the field, each section is its own separate motor capable of gordianknot contortions and ease of replacement between missions. The two main attack functions beyond lashing until a constriction can be made are the piston jabs of the thorns once wrapped around a limb for deeper penetration or each independently spinning to grind whatever it is to dust and crimson mist
Secondary Weapon System: Rose bouquet: A dozen or so support drones, capable of target harassment with on-board lasers weapons or linking lasers for a 3 second barrier.
Armor Type: Medium melee assault armor built to endure long enough to land terrible blows.

Hah, most excellent, more of an Imperial Guard fellow myself, but the Tau have some neat toys, stealth included or otherwise. And the CS is done, there might be some stuff off considering I'm past 24 hours since the last time I slept.
"God have mercy on every remaining soul in this lifetime, and grant me steady hand and steady aim to protect those around me in times of need. Amen.
Name: Alexei Stukov
Age: 16
Personality: Stukov is practically the definition of hiding the scars and internal damage with humor and deflection. On the surface, the young man is rather well adjusted, easily approachable, and seems to almost enjoy focusing on helping and discussing the problems and issues others might have. Most have written this off as simply a natural desire to do well for his fellow man in these dark times, and he seems to prefer to be seen in this manner. With an aversion to unnecessary bloodshed and violence, Stukov tends to be a voice of reason when all else fails, being reluctant to resort to violence but frighteningly efficient in dolling it out, in the attempt to end it as soon as possible, as far as anyone can figure out. Stukov clings to his deeply religious beliefs, almost always able to be found on an installations church or chapel, in the hopes that his shaken, battered faith and soul might still bring about some divine intervention.
Under the surface, however, Stukov is as damaged as one would expect from a child who survived this long. Witnessing first hand the death of half his family has made the boy almost suicidal in the protection of others, sometimes almost seeming like he wants to finally join the rest of his family as he puts himself in harms way, in and out of the Framewerks, with belief that his god will protect him or take him when it is time, and not one moment before. Having never properly addressed the deaths of his family, the mention and focus on such could bring about emotional and mental breakdown in the boy still.
Motive to live: Stukov is done watching and waiting for the end, and intends to keep putting himself between his allies, friends even, and the invading Cruxi, and hopefully save his fellow man. And if this means he dies in the process, so be it.
Background: Suffering and loss are almost a staple of any survivor, to some degree or another, but to retain one's faith and belief in higher powers is far rarer.
His family was stationed on the middle ring of colonies, not the outermost destined to be hit first, but perhaps seeing a fate considerably far worse, for they would be the ones the most drawn out fighting and resistance would occur. Both his parents were already veterans and were the first to be called up and sent to war when the time came. Stukov could barely remember either of them, but he could still remember their love and the day they left him with his older siblings. Living on a military base with siblings he often fought with made life difficult for him growing up, and he found himself often in a church or chapel, confiding with the priests and chaplains in his fears and worries, and found a stability in that part of his life.
The word his parents were dead came back, and it was as harsh a blow to Stukov as it was his older siblings, who both volunteered together in the name of vengeance, leaving their youngest brother all alone as they marched off to basic training. When the planet came under attack by the Cruxi, both his brother and sister returned as armed soldiers and joined in the resistance against them as shuttles of civilians were evacuated. Stukov was dragged onto the escape shuttle as he watched his older siblings get scythed down in front of him. The chaplain who saved his life, by dragging him onto the shuttle, consoled the now completely alone child, which was not easy for the man as he still had his family and could not truly address the horror and loss as the boy felt it.
Stukov threw himself into working rather than grieve for his family, unsure how to or how he could really move on without them. So instead of that, he dedicated himself to solving other people's problems instead of ever considering his own. His faith and determination to try and be a help to others eventually saw him fighting tooth and nail for entry into the weaponizing of Framewerks. End the war, and the suffering and loss of others due to it would be gone, so it was only natural that Stukov, despite his aversion to violence brought on by, on a subconscious level, the graphic deaths of his siblings, that he would enter one of the most violent and war ridden areas of the armed forces still fighting back against the Cruxi invasion.
Notable Deaths: Stukov has no family left, both parents dead from being mustered as part of the first waves to investigate and respond to the loss of colonial signals. His older brother and sister, enlisted together at the same time, were also both slain ensuring their younger brother had time to flee.
Other things: Stukov comes from a long lineage of military tradition, generations of the family having served and met in the armed forces, so military life comes naturally to the young man more so than one would expect.
Framewerk Code Name: Daemon
(Minus the shoulder cannon)
Signature Weapon System: A Mid range Framewerk, the primary weapon system installed into the Daemon Framewerk is the Type 177 Heavy Support System. A belt fed, assault rifle style weapon, the Type 177 presents a balance of traits in exchange for lacking unusually extremes in performance. Heavy caliber caseless rounds are fed from internal magazines, the belt covered by a protective sheath that, with power fed from the Daemon's power core, feeds each round into the Type 177. Each round is designed with maximum penetration in mind, and each round is charged with experimental levels of electricity theorized to be capable of punching through barrier defenses, while the rounds design promotes penetration against physical armor.
Secondary Weapon System: The most obvious secondary system is the shoulder mounted Type 14 Prototype Counter Measure (PCM) device. Each tube holds several charges of flare like devices that emit lock scrambling emissions across the known bands of use, and include several theorized bands that may be employed in enemy smart weapon systems. To effectively launch the countermeasures, the Daemon has to cease fire with the Type 177 due to recoil interference throwing off PCM launches. Beyond this, the Daemon utilizes an advanced high output energy core to supply both weapon and operating systems, and includes overhauled servos to support many times its own weight, giving it an unorthodox means of close quarters combat, and other utility use where extreme loads need raised and carried.
Armor Type: Heavy Experimental - Numerous heavy, overlapping layers of conventional armor provide the outer core of defense, with inner layers forged with newly created, energy resilient metals. New and barely tested processing methods have been used to increase outer layer resilience against beam and other non ballistic weapons many times over that of almost any other conventional Framewerk in use, experimental or otherwise, and maintain conventional durability. Outside of space, it is not capable of combat flight and is one of the slowest models being deployed for use. Clearly designed for heavy levels of damage absorption and survival.
@knighthawk The pun made me cringe, but it's fine. The drones are a bit problematic, not because of their harassment and temporary barrier uses, but because they are laser-based, which is too similar to what my mecha's drones are going to utilize. There also needs to be an added note that the Framewerk's design was influenced by the Ramirez family, who also gave funding to its development, which is the reason for the Frame's non-ergonomic and quirky design.
@Eisenhorn Hey, we got ourselves a genuine terminator. Accepted.
@LHG100 You can eventually get it. Just wait and see.

No problem. For the secondary system, what if hand and whip retract then the flowers around wrists and forhead blossom up wider for a shield, looking more like a thornbush when crouched down?
As for the questionable design: "What the hell is that? Some Kid's Saturday morning wet dream?"
"Well, if you want a 14 year old to save the world and have a spare national debt in your bank account... You can make yours look however you want. If it helps him synchronise and buy all the steel in Pitsburg needed to build this place, then by all means, let him play hero."
Not to excessively probe for answers, but what will our Framewerks' "special abilities" look like? Some kind of 'unlimited mode' or 'alternate form'? Is this something we will decide or will you be the one determining? I ask primarily because I already have another picture lined up for my mech that could serve as a possible special mode.

That's a good choice. Note that you can't use the shield and whip in the same turn.
@Penultimate_Pi I will decide them, but I'm also open to suggestions. They can be a lot of things; a berserk mode, an energy shield, ability to make holograms and so on. They all will have a time limit to them before the pilot's synchronization rates start dropping, however, and they require a very high synchronization rate to be available. Unless someone gets lucky, I don't think anyone will have one at the start.
@Shoryu Nothing wrong with a cute pony girl, but they also won't fit in the RP, genetic manipulation involved or not.
@redbaron1234 No, they don't have to. In fact, my character's mecha is only vaguely humanoid.
I agree, or dude XD! funny as it might have been to see one here.
And, Haaa, Go tau... I suck playing Tau in the games, except the Shaz'O, dat flying curb-stomp. I prefer the imperial guard myself because BERN BLERDE!
Also, Gettin busy now. I got interupted amidst my working on the CS yesterday and the interuption never quite let go XD
Very rarely does an RP catch my eye. Good job, you've got me back into RPing.
Name: Yeshua Horowitz Appearance:
Age: 15 Personality: Yeshua is far from outgoing in his nature. He is not quiet and quite parsimonious with his beliefs, almost to the point beyond reason. He values and observes a much bigger picture than some people realise, often letting him feel detached or pity those who he spends time with. He is quick to judge and often feels no guilt, but takes a keen responsibility for other people's problems, that can lead him to be viewed as either extremely polite or extremely irresponsible. The boy has many opinions which he isn't afraid of sharing, and if Yeshua feels he has been treated unjustly, will not stand for it. Motive to live: To change his inert feeling that humanity cannot be more than just mindless apes.
Background:
Yeshua (born Joshua) was the child of Otto Horowitz, a mildly famous biologist working in the most prestigious parts of the most rich system. His mother was never mentioned to him and without someone to care for him in the home, he often spent his time alone or on the wild webs of the internet. In his father's absence, the boy grew up without influences and soon grew suspicious of him. At the age of 11, he felt the repercussions of the war when his father kept coming home from work less frequently and even more tired. He was pushed to the edge, and Joshua felt it. Taken away from his father, the boy lived in the countryside of the harsh mountains with his grandmother. Away from society, the boy could read and write, and so he did for as long as he could.
His grandmother was fond of him but held back by her principles. When he wanted to leave her and find his father, no help was given. Joshua knew he could not leave in such an isolated area and did not want to live his entire life as a farmer, as his grandmother was. He grew skeptical. He could see the convoys of military transports passing through the mountains, knowing times grew more desperate every hour. His grandmother, parent to not his father, but his mother, gave him the King James Bible and with it, in his adolescence, he studied with as much determination his father had. The wild swathes of books that had been laid out for him was not simply a mere collection by his elder; it was a gift from his father. How else could he teach Joshua the wonders of the universe?
In the middle of the night he sneaked out, only 14. The cold of the mountainside was nothing to him, as he was determined to find his father and ask him all the questions had developed in his mind. Making his way to the small village of Ungarbt, Joshua realised that he was so lost. Trying to solve these problems by himself was too difficult for him, so he went to the local police station. This is when the news struck him; his grandmother had died of a heart attack after realising he was gone.
Without any relatives and still no idea where his father was, he was sent to the one of the further-out planets, near the brewing battlefront against the Cruxi. This family was a branch of modern Judaism (they called themselves Torahts) and he learnt so much from them. It was amazing to see things from a different point of view in a different planet. His questions became more fruitful but in turn his family became to spite him, with his constant criticism that undermined their faith. In the evacuation of the planet after it was attacked, Joshua lost contact with his family in the chaos, panicking and afraid.
Hiding in a hospital building, the Cruxi drew closer. A Framework of extreme calibre attacked and saved him from the aliens, allowing him to escape onto a shuttle. This change of heart (and name), and later learning his foster family was nowhere to be seen, drove him to apply to the Framework programme. Maybe this time he could find the answers he seaked; what it meant to be human, alive and breathing.
Notable Deaths: He fears his father is dead, as long as his grandmother, his foster family and his mother. Other things: His eyesight requires eyesight but he is clearly against it, as he thinks he can survive without the need of degrading technology. He wears contacts.
