Sakura

A gentle breeze lifted the pink petals up through the air, engaging them in a somewhat odd, if not hypnotic dance. It was only fitting, with the start of he new semester only a few days ago, nature joined in on the renewal. The cherry blossoms had always been a symbol of a fresh start and new chances, which was exactly what Yamaku was meant to represent for its students. Much like those blossoms to which Sakura owed her name, she would be a symbol for the students to draw their strength from. She herself had always fully embraced all the chances life threw at her, she would motivate the remainder of the student body to do the same, show them that despite their disabilities, they were far from useless.

She carelessly flicked a stray strand of her long hair out of her face, a determined frown appearing on her face. Classes were over for today, but that hardly meant that there was no more work left, and she wasn't thinking about homework. Looking up and down the walkway leading to the school, she spotted several students already going about their way to go to their respective clubs and activities. Every once in a while, she received a nod from a passing student who recognized her, earning a nod in return from her.

While Yamaku was less stoked in tradition and discipline than most other Japanese schools, it still maintained a set of strict rules, its particular nature enforcing some more than others. As student council president, she had already given a small speech at the start of the year, but judging from the lack of enthusiasm that she had hoped to see among the students, it hadn't sunk in as well as she would have hoped. This called for more effort on her part.

With a single snap of her fingers, one of the student council members planted down a small box in front of her, promptly handing her over a megaphone. Getting the megaphone had required some creativity and a little bending of the school rules. It was doubtful that the track team really needed it right now, let alone that they minded her borrowing it if they didn't want to see their funding receive a very serious cut.

The thought that her skirt might just be slightly too short for her to stand on the box only very briefly crossed her mind once she ascended on top of it, quickly passing as she stood upright. While there was a speaker system to use throughout the school, Sakura preferred a more personal approach at the moment. The students were supposed to see her face and recognize her, it would only add to the effect of inspiration.

"Students of Yamaku!"
Sakura's voice resounded through the megaphone, most likely taking more than a few students off guard, but catching the attention of most of the school nonetheless. Her voice was naturally loud, and now she was even shouting into the megaphone, enough to make people cringe lightly at the volume.
"This is your president! Know this, you only live once! Your high school career shapes what kind of a person you will be for he remainder of the lives you have left! Will you let that go to waste?! Live life to your fullest, and do not hesitate or regret! Show the world what you're made of and leave them all stunned!"
She paused for a moment, sweeping her gaze through the crowd now that she had gotten their attention, as well as catching her breath from the shouting.

"Several changes will be made here, I assure you! I will not tolerate anyone slacking off or anyone showing signs of mediocrity! Anyone without the will to fight should just lie down and die! As such, I will impose a new set of rules! First off, I will double the detention for anyone who dares to falter in making their homework, furthermore, participation in the upcoming sports festival is now mandatory for any student unwilling to face the consequences! That will be all for now, and remember, life is for the living!"
She finished off her speech with a fist pump in the air, showing her determination. It had turned out to be a very mediocre speech, but it had all been improvised by her on the spot. No doubt she had made several enemies among the students with her new rules, but even animosity could be a source of energy and inspiration for those people. Sometimes, what someone needed to push forwards, was a force pushing back against them.

"How was that?" She asked as she hopped off the improvised stand and tossed the megaphone back towards the student that handed it to her.

Kenshi

"Good job hime-sama. I'm sure this will go swimmingly." Kenshi's voice was well mixed with sarcasm and his own frustration, "You're just as crazy as ever."

THe silver-haired boy picked up the megaphone from the class rep and walked up on to the stage with his kendo bokkun slung over his shoulder. A few quick strides and he stood atop the box, the megaphone rising to his mouth. Some of the younger students where puzzled over the fact that Kenshi was carrying a woodnen sword, some thought he wanted to be a certain silver haired samurai, his hair already fit well with it. But in reality, He had a responsibility to actually act like a student council member, unlike Sakura who was so aloof, she honestly looked like a better fit in one of the older animes he watched.

"ATTENTION!" Kenshi's voice boomed like a military commander's, almost to the point of the president's voice, "Students of Yamaku, my name is Hayabusa Kenshi. I am your Student Disciplinary Chairman and have authority over you second to only Sakura-sama. I would like to remind you to stay vilgilant to the rules as they will be enforced. If you have any personal doubts, come find me and I will ensure you will follow them one way or the other."

Kenshi brushed away his bangs and adjusted his eyepatch as he stabbed the tip of his bokkun into the box under him, "As a general reminders: do not run in the hall way or you will be running suicides, do not leave trash lying about or you will be cleaning up the entire school's trash alone, do not wear obscene clothing as you will be forced to wear the "Sweater of Shame" if you do."

Kenshi pointed his sword to a moldy old brown sweater that was clearly past its prime by a good three centuries and a half with a label that said "I will not wear perverse clothing". Loudly hammering the box with his sword, he got everyone's attention and resumed talking,

"Do not fight on school grounds since your next fight will be with me personally and I promise I prefer not to injury and of you more than many of you already are. ANd lastly, I hope that we can all have a good year together and you all stay out of trouble, for your own sake."

With that, the stern boy slung his sword once more over his shoulder and tossed the megaphone to another class rep. Just like Sakura, he probably made some enemies in that and was expecting some hot head to try and best him later. At least he'd get some easy experience out of it should it actually arise. When a good deal of your body is plastic and metal, beating down flesh isn't exactly too much of a challenge.

"I'll be in the dojo is anyone needs me. I should be in the office in a hour or so." Kenshi waved behind him without turning his head, he had no need for trivial mannerism at this point, he just need more practice.

Rikka

The delightful sun was brightly shining down on the outside students their faces as some of the sakura petals from the close by cherry blossom trees flew up into the air scattering themselfs over the school grounds and the few students that were outside. One of the few students was a shy girl named Rikka. The girl with long black hairs and a almost child like body had taken place on one of the benches to take a short rest from the heat and the light irritation from the prosthetic.

It wasn't an punishment to sit in the warm weather on such a beautiful day, a nice cool drink would just finish it of. The girl had enjoyed school in her own way. Even if it has only been a few days since she entered her first year it had already been comming to her liking. Not much of the students had tried to approach her since they didn't have a reason to do so. In the everyday society there would likely fall eyes on her leg if they heard the noices comming from it or if it was to hot for her regular knee socks. There was nothing out of ordinary on this school except for the people that didn't look completly healthy or had missing limbs but one of the nicer thing the 24/7 care center. Except that, they tried to make it as normal as possible, what was of course very likeable.

A light drip of sweat ran down her cheek as she laid her head back onto the back leaning of the chair. She slightly squinted as she almost directly stared into the sun. Her eyes slowly started to close more and more untill they were completly shut. The warmth of the sun warmed her face in a pleasant way and it almost seemed like there was nothing to worry about, untill a sudden sakura petal bomped down onto her nose. The feeling of the petal startled her before she picked it off of her nose. She gently smiled as she raised the petal in front of her eyes and carefully released it to see it of with the wind. As the petal left her sight a sudden cracking noice with a loud yelling short after it made her jump up from her seat.

The sudden loud sound made her immediately squat down and cover her ears together with shutting her eyes tightly out of pure reaction. It was like fire works going off right in front of her face. As the loud sound died down for a few seconds she lightly opened her eyes to see what was happening in front of her. The first thing she could see was a tall girl that was speaking out to the crowd in front of her with a mega phone. No wait the girl was just standing on a soap box to get more attention from the people around her. From the height Rikka was at she could also see diffrent things, but she immediately looked away with a light red blush on her face. The yelling continued however in a very loud way which made Rikka stay squated for a while longer still covering her ears in the progress. As the girl stepped off the soapbox Rikka slowly regained her small compuser again and stood upright. The student council president. Sure seemed scary and in no way approachable. Rikka would have to make sure not to end up having to talk to her for at least two years now.

As she was about to sit down again another person stepped up and gave a even louder yell through the mega phone. Rikka akwardly whined and squated down again after being caught completly off guard. This time she was almost about to cry in fact small tears were already bundled in her eyes from the ringing in her ears. Again not wanting to encounter them.

~Keiko Murata~

A yawn escaped a black-haired youths lips as she strolled lazily down the main path of the school. Ugh, classes were as boring as usual. She had hoped that the classes here would be at least somewhat more interesting than the classes back at her old school, but if anything they were the same. Or possibly worse. She hadn't decided yet. All she knew, was that not being able to talk...was a goddamn pain the the freakin' ass. After her somewhat disastrous first day here, she at least made sure to carry a pencil and a notepad on her since she didn't know sign language. She had been trying to learn...Her parents insisted that she try at least. Unfortunately, her desire to study and work ethic left a lot to be desired. That was something both her parents and her old school tried and failed to drill into her head.

As she walked, a stray cherry blossom landed right in her face. She blew the offending petal off of her face with an annoyed sounding huff. Summer. She absolutely hated it. Too hot. The only good thing about it was swimming pools and swimsuits...actually, just the swimsuits would do. The pool was the bonus. Winter would probably have to be her favorite, right next to Fall. Not too hot...and plus, snow. She couldn't wait for winter to come around so she could build a snowfort and throw snowballs at people.

...could she do that here though?...Ah well, she'd do it anyways. Not like she cared about getting in trouble. Whatever punishment the prez and disciplinary committee and stuff could come up with was probably not something that could so much as faze her.

"Students of Yamaku!" Gah! The almost impossibly loud voice startled her out of her thoughts.

"For the love of god woman, is that megaphone really necessary!?"

She shouted...or at least tried to. She still wasn't entirely used to the not being able to speak thing. Instead of words, it sounded like some sort of garbled mess from some corrupt CD or something. Kind of. Probably. At least, that's the only thing she could compare her current voice to. Probably way off the mark there, but eh...still ended up not being pleasant, and leaving her in a bit of a coughing fit. Ugh...she had to work on that. The doctors told her to take it easy for a while and try not to try to talk or anything. They just told her that to comfort her...she knew she was probably never going to be able to have a conversation again. Still had to get used to it, though.

"This is your president! Know this, you only live once! Your high school career shapes what kind of a person you will be for he remainder of the lives you have left! Will you let that go to waste?! Live life to your fullest, and do not hesitate or regret! Show the world what you're made of and leave them all stunned!"

...what, was this supposed to be some sort of pep-talk or something? Keiko listened to the president half-heartedly. Honestly, she had no interest in school...at least, the academics. Sports were fine...not her favorite thing, but tolerable. As long as she was moving and doing something other than sitting at a desk trying not to fall asleep while some teacher droned on and on about something she had no interest in.

"Woooow. Lie down and die? What, was this like some sort of gladiatorial arena now with you sitting in a veranda like a tyrannical empress drinking tea and listening to classical music while we fight for your amusement?"

Well, if it was it'd be ten times more fun at least. She could probably live with something like that, though that was probably just her somewhat over-active imagination running a bit wild. It was totally different from what the prez was actually describing. Double detention stuff?! This chic was crazy, and not in the good way. Too bad, she was kind of cute too. At least the mandatory sports festival thing was tolerable. Sports, she could do. She may not have been a health nut, she did like to think she was in a fairly decent shape. Still, so far she wasn't going to be enjoying this year if that chic was going to make anything that was fun impossible...at least it seemed to be over.

"ATTENTION! Students of Yamaku, my name is Hayabusa Kenshi. I am your Student Disciplinary Chairman and have authority over you second to only Sakura-sama. I would like to remind you to stay vilgilant to the rules as they will be enforced. If you have any personal doubts, come find me and I will ensure you will follow them one way or the other."

Or not. The tyrannical empress' right hand henchman, the leader of the disciplinary inquisition.

Okay, Disciplinary Committee, but might as well be the same thing. She didn't like him. For two reasons. Mostly because he seemed to have that stick shoved so far up his -

"As a general reminders: do not run in the hall way or you will be running suicides, do not leave trash lying about or you will be cleaning up the entire school's trash alone, do not wear obscene clothing as you will be forced to wear the "Sweater of Shame" if you do. Do not fight on school grounds since your next fight will be with me personally and I promise I prefer not to injury and of you more than many of you already are. ANd lastly, I hope that we can all have a good year together and you all stay out of trouble, for your own sake."

His second little set of instructions interrupted that train of thought. Running in the hallways, yeah that was stupid. Unless you were in a hurry or something. Obscene clothing? What, did they think the students were going to come to school dressed in a bikini or something? While she wouldn't have minded so much, she did think they were being a bit...overzealous with the rules. And fighting? Pfft. She wasn't going to be fighting anyone...at least, not in like a brawl or something. And no littering. Right yes. Littering is bad. We get it your almighty highness of the disciplinary inquisition. No fun allowed. Go bother someone who actually cares.

And that, is when she got an idea. No littering, huh? Well...heh, what were they going to do if she did? She kind of wanted to find out. In the briefl lull after the prez and the disciplinary committee persons speeches, She reached into her pocket and pulled out the notepad she had used to talk to people ever since she got here a few days ago. Thankfully, she was near enough to the front of the small crowd that she could easily be seen...and the ripping of paper off of the notepad, could also probably be heard along...with the crumpling of paper.

Just to be sure though, she waved at the prez to get her attention...before promptly dropping the ball of paper onto the ground, with an annoyingly calm and neutral expression.

Suna Kumoshita

A listless expression was painted clear all over Suna's face as he silently walked, the dormitories as his destination. Near the last period today Suna's condition struck again; he felt a sudden, irresistible urge to fall asleep. "A brain with a broken alarm clock", had been what he said to explain his condition to his friends at middle school. The teachers didn't mind him, of course, they had adequate knowledge of his 'special needs', and acted appropriately. Namely, letting him sleep. A very useful privilege he had been experiencing since his middle school days. The one just now was a real attack, though, and his back was slightly tired out from a bad sleeping posture.

Despite having full reign to feign sleep and getting away with it one hundred percent of the time, Suna's social life hadn't been going smoothly. Amongst the disabled crowd of his classmates Suna was, technically, among the most normal. Each and every student has no need to know other student's disabilities. Couple this with Suna's apparent normalcy, and he was quick to become background noise amongst people. He understood that he was part of the problem; he wasn't exactly trying to make friends. His tendency to push people away from knowing him is an odd thing he only developed since entering Yamaku.

All those people, with their damaged selves, where does he fit in?

'It's sure nice to have an immediately obvious disability.' Suna couldn't help but think that, although he quickly realized the offense it would cause should he speak it out loud. Cursing himself silently, he quickly averted his gaze somewhere else to perish the thought. It landed in... unexpected places, to say at the least.

Was that a flash of another color he saw hidden underneath Yamaku's green skirt? His eyes scanned it with intense focus. But he wavered when he realized whose skirt that was: the violet-haired, tall-statured student council president. The greatest authority there is in Yamaku, as far as the student body is concerned. As if that's not enough, the silver-haired samurai's right there beside her. Some sort of event is going on, perhaps. The moment he saw her retrieve a megaphone, Suna instinctively put a finger over the entrance of his ears.

"Students of Yamaku!"

As expected from the student council president. Her voice was as gallant as her chest, if not more. Not that he didn't know, if that speech back at the student entrance ceremony was any indication. After the possibly cardiac-arrest-inducing, eardrum-damaging opener of a speech, the student council president ranted on about living life to its fullest. Standard motivation speech by any measure, followed by a reaffirmation of the rules by the silver-haired samurai. If he recalled correctly, Suna had nightmares about him during an narcoleptic sleep two days ago.

After the entire thing was over, Suna mulled on a point of her speech that stuck on him; every student has to participate in the sports fair. He looked to his left; a wheelchair-bound girl. He looked to his right; a man with only one leg. Suna didn't know the state of the sports fair one year ago, but he predicted there would be a lot more competition in this year's Chess. He continued his Sherlock scan of the displeased student reactions, and spotted a girl energetically waving at the student council president. 'What an adorable supporter.' was what he would've thought if not for the crumpled piece of paper she just so casually dropped.

There are many kinds of stupidity, and this one was a type he could tell on sight. Suna moved as fast as he could without being too conspicuous, and quickly grabbed the paper ball from the ground.

"I don't know what you have against her, but you do not do that when the samurai's around," Suna said. He himself had already experienced the power of the eyepatch several days ago when he merrily ran across the deceptively long classroom hallway, which was, in his defense, very inviting to run in (and his middle school didn't have rules against running). Once was enough, Suna decided, after the lecture and 'punishment' he received from the disciplinary committee. "...unless you want another disability or two on top what you already have." Suna added.

~Aimi Hayashi and Ayako Koizumi~

โ€œOh, Aya-san. There are so many people here!โ€ The small purple-eyed girl breathed heavily, trying to calm herself down. Even after a few weeks at this school, it didnโ€™t make it any easier to cope.

โ€œCalm down, Aimi-chan. Theyโ€™re all like us.โ€ The older brown-haired girl calmly pushed her friendโ€™s wheelchair, even though she couldnโ€™t see where she was going.

โ€œWall! Aya-san, wait-โ€ Aimi yelped as Aya walked her right into a wall. This particular wall had been trouble for them since the school year had begun. Theyโ€™d been moving at a fairly high speed, and the wheelchair, having been through much trauma already, came entirely apart into a jumble of wheels, cloth, and carbon-fiber tubing.

โ€œOh dear. Thatโ€™s wreck number four this week. Youโ€™re okay, right?โ€

โ€œIโ€™m fine. My wheelchair just came apart and Iโ€™m pinned under it and I canโ€™t freaking move, but Iโ€™m fine. Thank you for your โ€œconcernโ€, Ayako.โ€ Aimiโ€™s voice was bitter and it seemed to Aya like she was on the verge of tears.

โ€œAimi-chan, Iโ€™m sorry. Iโ€™m really sorry. How can I help?โ€ Aya knelt down, running her hands over the parts of the collapsed wheelchair, trying to make sense of what was a part of Aimi and what was a part of the wheelchair. She tugged on something that felt like a finger. โ€œAimi-chan, am I pulling on your finger or a piece of wheelchair?โ€

โ€œI donโ€™t know! I canโ€™t see, my headโ€™s under a cloth, and you know I canโ€™t feel anything! Why donโ€™t you open your eyes and actually look at what youโ€™re doing?โ€ Aimi all but shouted, tears running down her face.

Aya gasped, her blind blue eyes welling up with tears, and pushed herself back to her feet, leaving her friend helpless on the floor. โ€œBecause I canโ€™t! Iโ€™m sorry Iโ€™m so useless to you, Senpai, Iโ€™m just going to go curl up in a corner and die, thank you.โ€ She stumbled off down the hall, repeatedly bumping into other students and walls, not caring that there were tears pouring down her cheeks. A breath of wind on her face and she realized she must have stepped outside.

โ€œA-Ayaโ€ฆ P-please come backโ€ฆ D-donโ€™t l-l-leave me h-hereโ€ฆโ€ Aimi said, but it was too late.

For Aya, without her companion acting as her eyes, the world was terribly disorienting. As she stepped outside she heard a screechingly loud voice start prattling on about mandatory homework, mandatory sports fairs, blah blah blah.

She tripped over something, only to hear a slight โ€œoofโ€ as she did. Waitโ€”god, was that a person sheโ€™d tripped over?!

โ€œOh goodness, forgive me!โ€ she mumbled, flailing and trying to get her feet under her. In the process she managed to figure out the configuration of the person sheโ€™d tripped overโ€”a girl, curled up in a ball with her hands over her ears.

โ€œAre you alright? Iโ€™m so sorry I trippedโ€ฆโ€

Hana

"It sure is a beautiful day," Hana thought to herself as she was walking towards the dormitories. She looked around, making sure to get in every little detail of this lovely scenery.

She has only been here for a couple days, but she had really came to like it. Though she was not used to being around so many people. Being home schooled for nearly all her life and not being able to communicate with most of the population did play a part in her lack of social skills. Still, some girls were nice enough to sign "Hello" to her and Hana hoped that maybe she would be able to finally make some friends. "The entire concept of this school is amazing..." she thought in awe. Plus the campus was so large and well-kept, the staff were so helpful, and everyone here had some physical imperfections that brought them all together. She just had to make the most of it. She was going to work hard and do her best so that her parent's money were well spent and all of these facilities will not go to waste.

She stopped for a moment to watch her school president stand on a soap box and speak into her megaphone. She could not hear a thing that she was saying, naturally, but it looked like it was very important to her. The students that were nearby seemed to be disturbed or scared looking though. "Must be an interesting speech."

She carried on as soon as the president was done and another student counsel member began to speak. She thought he looked cool with his silver hair and eye patch, but there was no point in staying around as she could not understand a single word they were saying anyways. It was probably something similar, she figured. She hoped that maybe somebody in her class could bring her up to speed as it seemed like it might be a big deal or she wouldn't really know since she's never been to a real school before.

As she continued, she saw a jumbled mess on the floor that used to be a wheelchair. She rushed over to it, and cleared everything out of the way only to discover a young girl about her age, unable to move. The girl must be paralyzed as she was not able to help herself up earlier. Hana helped move her to a more comfortable looking position, leaning the girl against the way. She pulled out the notepad in her backpack and wrote, "Are you okay? Blink once for 'no' and blink twice for 'yes'." While she waited for the girl's response, she did her best to put the wheelchair back together, not that she was very helpful. There were pieces everywhere and she didn't even know where to start.

"I'm sorry," she wrote. "Do you want me to go look for someone to help you out?"

Rikka

Despites the commotion dying down a whole lot after the leaving of the gray haired samurai, Rikka was still squated. The student council president also seemed done with the speech for now. With Rikka her body still remaining close to the ground it was almost like her presence completly had faded. Maybe her presence had faded just a little too much. The lack of height was already a downside for her but the squating only made it worse. It was to be expected that someone would likely trip over her any time soon.

Next thing she knew something hard hitted her head from the side with full force. Rikka released a yelp from her mouth as the knee hitted the side of her small head. Together with the knee against her head she also felt something heavy travel over the top of her head. It was already too late for her to react or jump out of the way. Rikka fell together with the girl down to the ground. The force in which the knee hitted her head made her head bounce against the ground. Rikka immediatly curled up into a small ball on the ground covering the two hurting bumps on both sides of her head together with a soft whiningly crying from the pain at the same time. Rikka quietly said something that she had learned from a anime she had watched, "Ittai" meaning it hurted in japanese.

Rikka was already staring to hyperventilate but luckily she could calm herself down rather quickly. The girl had begun talking to her and seemed sorry for what she did to her just now. It took some time for Rikka to get back onto her knees and raise her head towards the direction of the other girl. She carefully studied the girl who seemed to be alright from the fall just now. The girl looked quite gorcieus, she had a fair height and looked rather normall except for the scars over her face. Well it was not like the girl wished for these scars. The only thing that was remarkable was that the girl was also covered in dirt and small scrapes but she didn't seem to notice, it made her wonder how she couldn't notice such simple things or she simply didn't mind to get a little dirty. Rikka her face started to fill up with worry. The girl herself was flailing about as she talked trying to get up by herself didn't look like a easy job for her. Rikka lightly stammered as she also tried getting back to her feet "S-stay put! Y-you're hurt." Rikka was swiftly trying to get back on her own feet but it wasn't so easy as it sounded. Instead of helping the girl she only flailed around herself. It was a embberasing sight to see, Rikka had a bright red look on her face while also making awkward noices "Hnng humpf."

After the countless trying she simply gave up and had completly gone quiet. Rikka slowly shoved herself over to the girl and began to sit next to the girl for support so that she could go ahead and stand upright. Rikka's voice sounded more quiet and insecure than before "Y-you can lean on me." She averted her face the other way so the girl wouldn't see her emberassed face.

Sakura

Her expectations had never been to instantly manage to motivate the student body as her ultimate goal was, but judging from the responses in the crowd, she had done more damage than good right now. Either way, she could be somewhat content. Her little speech had been effective on two fronts. First off it had made her more well known among the students, if she truly wanted to have an effect on people, they needed to know who she was, what she stood for and how far she was willing to go for it. On the other hand, it had created conflict. While it wasn't exactly Sakura's preferred method, conflict meant movement. By creating conflict, she wouldn't allow anyone to sink away into a depression or take their lives for granted, they had to work and build aspiration and ambition. If they couldn't handle her in Yamaku, then they would get eaten alive in the real world after graduation.

From the corner of her eyes, she spotted a girl cringing and collapsing onto her knees, seemingly on the verge of tears from the looks of it. While her expression betrayed nothing, regarding the girl with cold detachment, she did feel sorry for the girl at her core. However it was a necessary transition that she was supposed to face. Sakura's methods were harsh and uncompromising, girls like these would no doubt be caught in the middle of it had have it the roughest, but Sakura was certain that they would emerge stronger in the end. That was what this school was all about, wasn't it?

She gave Kenshi a small frown, not entirely appreciating his tone of voice. However, she couldn't help the corners of her lips being pulled upwards slightly in a small, mischievous smile. Contrary to what Kenshi might have meant, crazy was hardly an insult to Sakura. In fact, she regarded it as a compliment.
"I do try my best, chairman."
She responded almost teasingly, allowing him to take the stage directly after her.

With her arms crossed over her chest, just underneath her bust, she took it upon herself to scan the crowd as Kenshi added in his own two cents on the changes they were planning to make. As far as she was concerned, Kenshi seemed to want to instill just a little too much fear into the students than was necessary, but she was willing to grant him the freedom to do as he wanted to enforce the school rules for now. The rules were his concern, the spirit and soul of the school were hers. As long as he didn't try to outshine or even overthrow her, his fearsome demeanor could prove useful against anyone who wanted to oppose her directly.

As fortune would have it, such a challenge came only seconds after the chairman had stopped talking.

The president had been keeping an eye out among the crowd for a while now, trying to gauge the mood of the students during the speeches. Her eyes narrowed as she picked up a girl waving towards her, obviously intent on getting her attention. Once the girl had made sure Sakura was looking, she ostentatiously dropped a ball of paper onto the ground. How extremely petty. It was all Sakura could do to keep herself from groaning out in annoyance at the random act of defiance simply for the sake of defiance.

"Chairm-..."
She started out, almost beckoning Kenshi towards the perpetrator, though changed her mind as an expressionless male student seemed to fix the situation for her. Trying to keep the delinquent's gaze, she simply stood her ground, a wide, victorious smile forming on her lips while giving a grateful nod towards the male student. She'd already won the first challenge to her authority, and she didn't even have to lift a finger to do so.

"It seems some of you at least know proper conduct."

~Keiko Murata~

Keiko waited for the presidents or the other guys response. She was obviously confident they wouldn't do anything to her, or at least anything she would care too much about. Wearing a sweater for wearing 'obscene' clothing? Pfft. Like they could force her to wear it...or for that matter, like she even cared. Besides, she was fairly confident in her abilities to flee before they got to her. That kendo guy might give her a bit of trouble though. Ah well, whatever happened happened.

"I don't know what you have against her, but you do not do that when the samurai's around,"

"What the hell is your problem." She mouthed to the other kid. Killjoy. Gah! Not being able to talk was freakin' annoying! If she could, she'd have definitely given that guy a piece of her mind. Instead, he continued blabbing about that silly looking kendo guy. She'd seriously like to give this guy a good verbal lashing...

"Unless you want another disability or two on top what you already have."

Bwahahaha...this kid was joking right? That kendo-guy wouldn't do anything that bad. Besides, she was very confident in her abilities to flee the scene. Still, seeing the presidents reaction was going to be funny, so she turned her attention from the other kid, back to her. And was promptly met with a victorious smirk from the president. Keiko frowned slightly in annoyance.

guh.

That was probably the worst reaction she could have gotten. Thanks to this little moron interfering probably. She reached into her pocket, intending to pull out the notepad she used to write on along with a pencil. She was gonna tell this brat exactly what she thought of him. Only...there was a small problem. The piece of paper she had waded up, was unfortunately the last sheet of paper in the notepad, and she now had no way of coherently communicating with people.

After a few seconds of giving him a somewhat annoyed stare, trying to think of some way to get her feelings across, she took what was left of the notepad...and gave him a somewhat hard smack on the top of his head. Not hard enough to hurt, really, but definitely hard enough to get his attention and cause a bit of confusion. After that, she placed her hands on her hips, giving the guy an annoyed glare. Hopefully, that made it clear enough, though she really would like to say or at least write what was going through head right now.

At least she probably got the attention of the president and disciplinary guy again.

Suna Kumoshita

Honestly, Suna was expecting this kind of reaction from the girl. He had this kind of stupid vendetta against authority, too, back at the middle school's first grade. He had expected words that won't make it past censors to rattle off her mouth, but instead surprised when a jumbled, somewhat unintelligible chain of noises entered his ears instead. He spent several seconds trying to make the head and tails of what she said, but the sentence, a non-sequitur as far as Suna was concerned, was lost.

He only figured out what the girl was all about when she pulled out a notepad. 'By any chance, is she mute?' he thought. Suddenly he found himself in a loss on how to act, especially after the girl found out that she was out of paper. She then glared at him. Oh boy, he could sense the awkward atmosphere coming at him in 3... 2... 1...

But what came instead was a bonk to his head. "Ouch." he said. It didn't hurt but he still said it out of reflex. 'Those tomboys are always quick to get physical.' he thought, still maintaining a relatively carefree smile on his face. The girl put her hands on her hips and stared daggers at him. He could spot an almost-pout. Even though he was slightly shorter than her, he found the gesture cute. No, not exactly, that glare was definitely full of annoyance. What he found cute was her difficulty of conveying meanings without words to help her, a problem that wasn't exclusive to the mutes.

But he realized smiling there and appreciating her anger wouldn't resolve anything. Suna reached for his bag and pulled out a notebook, "Well, it wouldn't be fair if I'm the only one speaking here." he gave it to her, "Either way, there's time and place for you to do away with the rules, but here you're just going to embarrass yourself and gave a bad impression for the--" Suna's words suddenly froze; he might've made a mistake in lecturing her. Hoping that nothing will fall apart, Suna forced himself to continue "--new students." he said.

Kenshi was trying his best at ignoring the challenge to his authority, he wanted to go hardcore SDC on the usurper but get would probably be getting a mouthful by Sakura afterwards which would also entail him having to fulfil some epic quest of getting pudding for her or something like that.

He jumped off the stage and glared daggers into the girl's eyes as he walked off. As his strides took him towards the dojo, he called over a member of the SDC and instructed him, "Remind me to keep an eye on her. What's her name anyways?"
"Keiko Murata." the boy said before adding "sir" after he got a look from his superior.
"Thank you. Make sure she gets her ass into detention. Now, I'll be taking my leave. Don't disturb me unless you enjoy a bokkun being sent at your face."

Kenshi stomped off into the empty dojo. Pushing open the door into a side room , he put on training clothing as well as dragging out a training dummies made of. As he stripped off his shirt, he looked at a small heart shaped locket around his neck. Opening up revealed the smiling face of both him and Touka before he had lost his eye and she forgotten about him.

His metal joint squeaked as he sank to one knee and could feel a tear roll its way down his face. Brushing away his emotions, he stood up and slammed open the door and begain to work on his sword skills and strength. He had already failed Touka because of his weakness, he wasn't about to loose the school to it too.

Aimi

Aimi blinked in alarm as the cloth was suddenly pulled off of her face. She yelped when she was lifted up and leaned against the wall, but relaxed as she realized it was just another fairly young student.

โ€œT-thank you.โ€ She said softly. Then the girl pushed a piece of paper into her vision. โ€œBlink once for no and twice for yes. Are you okay?โ€

Aimi blinked twice. She wasnโ€™t hurt. Well, she wasnโ€™t hurt anywhere that she could feel it.

โ€œDo you want me to go find help?โ€

Aimi blinked once, then leaned forward and grabbed the girlโ€™s pencil with her teeth. She wrote carefully on the page, bouncing and moving her head to form letters, albeit a little clumsily. โ€œDonโ€™t leave me alone. I hate being aloneโ€ฆโ€ she carefully dropped the pencil back onto the girlโ€™s notebook and leaned back against the wall, tears still streaming down her embarrassed, red face.

Ayako

They spent what felt like several minutes flailing, each trying to get their feet under themselves. Finally the other girl managed to get to her feet. Aya tried to, but she was so disoriented from the tumbling that she wound up smacking her head on the underside of the bench.

โ€œAaah!โ€ she yelped, and reached back, wincing at the sharp pain in her head and the wet, sticky substance on her fingers. She fell back to the ground, tears streaming down her cheeks. โ€œI-Iโ€™m s-s-sorryโ€ฆ I c-canโ€™t s-s-seeโ€ฆ C-can y-you h-h-help m-me?โ€

Maksim

The school day was finally over, the halls were swarming with students making their way to their respective clubs and dorms. The lanky frame slowly made his way through the crowd, hugging the wall as a sort of guide to his destination; the destination being, as usual, the art room. Quite sure he was halfway there, Maksim's commute was interrupted. The obnoxious barking being drove into his ears like a jackhammer grabbed what little attention Maksim was willing to pay, turning towards the sound, he realized he was starring at a pair of long flesh colored sticks.
"Oh, legs. Right."
Who did the legs belong to though? Slowly scanning upward, discovering a large patch of lilac in his vision, Maksim made a deduction.
โ€œHow could I forget the deafening shout of Miss Tasabara?โ€

Surprised he could actually hear himself think over the deafening shout, Maksim paused for a moment, just checking to hear if anything of interest was being announced.

"Know this, you only live once!โ€

Nope. He already knew there would be positively nothing of interest in this pep talk. Other than, of course, watching the fuzzy purple form sway through his vision; which apparently was enough to keep Maksimโ€™s attention. Thinking up ways to replicate the shapes he was seeing with clay was enough to block out the sound, the boy had a talent for this, really. Eventually, the purple descended, and something a bit less poignant rose.
โ€œSilver...Silver... Perhaps... The swordsmen? Yes.โ€

Interest in sound dropped even further, and eventually, so did what little sight Maksim could make out. Making his way back down the barely memorized path to the creative sanctuary, Maksim could heard what he could only assume would have been an โ€˜under the breathโ€™ comment, if only the SCP knew how to accomplish whispering.

"Hello, Miss Tasabara. Did I miss an act of compliance?"

He turned towards what he could only assume was the girlโ€™s face, perhaps a few inches off in either direction. Hooded lids blocking any light to hit the deep blues, making his empty expression seem a bit more lifeless than even usual. Although he did intend to be joking, his delivery was... flat.

Rikka

She was promptly waiting for the girl to grab onto her shoulder and stand up so the girl could help Rikka stand upright again. But the other girl didn't look like she had any idea Rikka was offering her help. This clear but she still wasn't able to just see what was Rikka up too. Rikka was getting a little impatient with the girl who was getting Rikka more and more embarrassed. Rikka released a tired sigh and finally looked over towards the girl rubbing one of the still pained spots on her own head. Rikka could nothing but look at the helpless girl who seemed quite disorientated. Rikka was about to say something to the girl but refrained not to as of now seeing how the girl launched her head again the underside of the bench were Rikka had just been sitting on. Rikka gritted her teeth and showed a clear pained look on her face thinking it must have hurted at the way it looked.

Rikka wanted to ask if she was okay but because of her fear for talking to others out of the blue she refrained not to and painfully looked at the girl. She didn't look okay at all, she was crying on the ground covered in dirt and scraped. She was disorientated and... blind. Rikka was startled by the sudden comment on how she was not able to see. Rikka couldn't think of herself becoming blind, it would have been the worst thing in the world. But the most cruel things of them all was to rely on others this much. If she was ever to meet such a person like herself while she was blind. It was likely that she wouldn't be getting any help of the person since they would be to scared to do such a thing. Rikka bit her lip and carefully reached out to the girl hesitating if she should help or not.

It made her feel horrible not to help the girl and the people around her started looking over towards the two to since they pulled a lot of attention towards them. Rikka's face reddened as she shoved herself even more towards the girl to grab hold of both the girl her wrists. She pulled the girl lightly towards her so that she would end up face to face with the girl in any position whatsoever. Rikka placed both the girl her hands on Rikka her shoulders despite the weird fluid that should clearly have been censored for the children eyes was now on her school uniform, she continued with her plan and placed her own hands on the waists of the girl "T-try to stand up at 3... 1... 2... 3!" Rikka put all her arm strength in one shot and helped the girl stand upright again. It didn't matter if the girl either helped her now or just continued with her own activities, Rikka was happy enough she could clean up her own mess she made by letting the blind girl tripping over.

~Keiko Murata~

Honestly? She kind of expected the other kid to be too stunned by her little thump on the head to coherently respond. Instead, she was getting even more annoyed as she waited for some kind of reply. She got the sinking feeling he was probably thinking something not nice about her...which, well, in retrospect probably would be normal. However, she was a bit surprised when he took out a notebook. How did...he know? Was it that obvious? She rubbed her neck a bit, trying to make sure the scar there was covered up by her clothing.

"Well, it wouldn't be fair if I'm the only one speaking here."

He then handed it to her. Seriously?...seriously. He was handing a notebook to a girl who had obviously just intentionally tried to make the prez and disciplinary guy angry and then promptly smacked him on the head. Huh, well, whatever. She wasn't looking gift horse in the mouth, as they said. She eagerly took the notebook, still giving him a bit of a glare and pulled out a pencil from her pocket. She quickly started writing while he continued talking, a bit uninterested in what else he had to say.

"Either way, there's time and place for you to do away with the rules, but here you're just going to embarrass yourself and gave a bad impression for the----new students."

Pfft. She rolled her eyes as she wrote. Like she cared about what the other students thought. People either like or hate someone. Simple as that. She didn't really give stuff like that much thought. She only cared about playing the drums, really. She'd like to be able to do that here again...though, she doubted they would allow actual drums here...who knows what kind of things some of these people might have...well, whatever. She was going to just have to mess with him now. She handed him back the pad with a somewhat mischievous smirk.

"What the heck is your deal!" She had scribbled on the pad. Her handwriting wasn't exactly the best, but it was far from bad. "Ugh, you ruined it! Ruined! That was the perfect chance for me to mess with the Prez!" Next to that, was a figure of a stick person thumping another stick person on the head with some sort of notepad looking thing. The one getting whacked was labeled 'ugly dude'."Why'd you do that anyways!?...unless...Kahahaha~" Why did she write that? Well, a friend of hers once said she laughed a bit like that. She didn't really get it before...but whatever. "You thought I was pretty and wanted to save me from getting sent to the disciplinary committee! Hahahaha, sorry you ain't got boobs. But lets say you become my henchman and I'll forgive you!~"

Well, not that she was actually expecting him to do anything. She expected him to pretty much just ignore it or at least throw it away or something. If he was stupid enough to actually agree or something...she'd still have fun messing with him.

Suna Kumoshita

During the moment she wrote there was silence, except for the footsteps of the few students who stayed after the student council's loud speech, and the sound of graphene sliding against paper. With how vigorously Keiko scribbled on the notepad, words are hardly necessary to convey what Keiko meant. Still, he wouldn't bet on it and received the notebook. The lines she put down were bold and clear, "What the heck is your deal? Ugh. You ruined it! Ruined! That was the perfect chance for me to mess with the Prez!" she 'said'.

"Honestly, I don't know what my deal is, either." He rubbed the back of his head as he spoke, "But what making her angry would accomplish? The kind of satisfaction you get from making other people feel angry doesn't last. At all. The student council president is merely doing her job... No comment on the white-haired guy, though." Suna said, putting down his hand. He wondered if this girl knew the student council president personally, but he wouldn't ask. What he said just now he meant it.

"Why'd you do that anyways!?...unless...Kahahaha~" was what written, accompanied with an adequate drawing of what she did just a few moments ago. He was about to respond, but that laughter at the end rendered him unable to respond seriously. His carefree smell melted into an almost-sneer. He quickly realized this, and struggled to rectify his expression. "You thought I was pretty and wanted to save me from getting sent to the disciplinary committee! Hahahaha, sorry you ain't got boobs. But lets say you become my henchman and I'll forgive you!~"

Honestly, Suna needed to look down on her figure and confirm that yes, she wore a skirt. What a twist. "Your henchmen, huh? I think I'm past that phase..." he said, with a look that suggests that he did consider it. Having ran through her reaction, Suna honestly was at a loss. A part of him knew that getting involved with this thick-headed girl might lead to bad things. Those types existed back in every school Suna had been in. 'No, I won't. If you want to continue causing trouble, it's up to you. Sorry for butting in your business.' was what he would've said. But another part of him says something different. A few days has passed since he entered Yamaku, and he had pushed away many people because of some sense of 'not belonging'. It's about time for that to change.

"So, how about this?" Suna took a pencil out from his bag, and made some scratches on the notebook. He crossed out the word henchmen, and wrote 'friends' above it. He showed it to the girl with a smile on his face. He didn't exactly know the ethics of doing this to a mute person's speech. It might be literally putting words in her mouth, but even so, he hoped what he meant could get across.

Sakura

She kept watching Keiko for a while longer, recognizing her as a possible annoyance that she might need to deal with sooner rather than later. She'd have to read up on who she was later on, as student council president, she had access to all sorts of files on various students. Mostly registration forms and medical dossiers, but there were bound to be interesting clues in there nonetheless. While Suna might have been able to brush Keiko's blatant act of insubordination and clear challenge to the president under the covers, Sakura wasn't exactly known as the type who just let things go or didn't read a lot more into such gestures than she should. For now however, she'd be content with letting Kenshi decide on what to do with her, as was his job.

Her piercing gaze followed her silver-haired chairman leave, trying to get a good read on him. She had set out to motivate the school, but perhaps she ought to pay more attention to her inner circle. Judging from the why he so aggressively stomped off, there were more than a few issues eating away at him. She was far from a psychiatrist, but she might be able to slice away some problems one way or another.

Just as she was about to follow Kenshi to the dojo and give him a piece of her mind and perhaps another peptalk, another student with a vacant look approached her. The way he looked at her was jut a little unsettling. Rather than to look directly at he, he managed to look straight past her, but very unlike someone who had lost their eyesight entirely. For Sakura, it was an odd confrontation. She was used to staring someone directly in their eyes, though that effect was completely lost on this person, despite the fact that he wasn't entirely blind. It pained her to think that perhaps she wasn't as prepared to deal with some of the students here yet as she had anticipated, despite her confidence.

"Hello, Miss Tasabara. Did I miss an act of compliance?"

She turned to face him properly, the ordeal of her looking him up and down to gauge his worth probably going completely unnoticed by him.
"You did, more or less anyway. I'm not in the habit of repeating myself however." She addressed him, her arms still crossed over her chest. Despite the fact that he couldn't see her properly, her particular dominant and authorative stance and tall figure, not to mention her voice were most likely still enough to identify her easily.

"Oh, don't worry, Miss. I heard you loud and clear the first time. A bit hard not to, megaphone and all..."

Maksim's voice trailed off, but his eyes stayed locked in place for a moment. His lids twitched a bit, before quickly shifting his gaze to the side. The boy had been told on multiple occasions "It's rude to stare." Although he could barely see what exactly he was staring at, he knew it made people a bit uncomfortable at times. It was difficult though, to look away from the purple and peach figure, the colors and now voice practically commanded Maksim's attention. Despite this internal struggle, Maksim's face stayed...Blank.

"Not to worry, I'll make sure everyone gets the message somehow... And you are~?"

As blue eyes moved back to Sakura's direction, his right hand was already awaiting to shake her's.

"I'm Maksim Kato, class 3-2. It's nice to formally meet you, since I've heard so much from and about you..."

He placed a spindly finger against his own lips, as his head tilted to the left, creating a inquisitive gesture.

"Though, I wonder, would you happen to be a pursuer of the visual arts? In appreciation and or creation, Miss President? I suppose not..."

Maksim had a hunch this was not her bag, but it never hurt to ask. After all she is the Student Council President, shouldn't she be at least marginally interested in what the clubs and such are up to these days? Maybe not, the art club hadn't exactly been boiling over with excitement as of late.

"Your henchmen, huh? I think I'm past that phase..."

...this kid was no fun to mess with. Seriously, he barely did anything. Though he did look like he actually considered the suggestion, at least for a little bit. That would have been a riot to see. Like seriously, if she had her personal henchman she could use him as a decoy in so many schemes. Of course, she'd make sure to bail him out of trouble later. But no, he just had to be a killjoy again. For the briefest of moments, she missed her old friends. The feeling quickly passed when he handed the notepad back to her and saw what was written on it.

"So, how about this?"

"...But lets say you become my henchman and I'll forgive you!~"
Friend

She was quiet for a moment...before giving him an obviously even more annoyed look, though that was jut because she was momentarily confused. Well...friends? That was...new. She had never really had a guy friend before. She mostly hung out with Kohaku and the other girls in the music club at her old school. She talked with guys, sure, but given her rather openness about her preferences...she never really got to be...friends with any of them. As Kohaku put it, she'd only 'harass' the other girls. Pfft. Like she ever 'harassed' anyone. Nothing wrong with teasing your friends...and that thought just gave her a wonderful idea.

She began scribbling quickly on the notebook, her mischievous grin returning before handing him the note book again.

"Alright. You wanna be friends? Fine then. I'm Keiko Murata. Kei or Keiko will be fine. Don't care about that stupid formality stuff." It started out innocuous enough. A small introduction giving her name and her rather dislike of being called by her last name. "So...FRIEND," the word friend was underlined and written in a few thick, bold letters to emphasize the importance of the word. "Mind doing me a faaaavour?~"

The way that was written only suggested trouble. The expectant, mischievous grin she was giving him was probably not helping. Friend and henchmen could very well be the same thing at this point.
