IMO I would choose a shiny Serperior because its so elegant, but be very careful in picking a shiny; don't rush into a decision right now because you are only allowed two at the moment.

I already know what my second shiny is going to be, but its going to be my little secret; and everyone is gonna think "-oh that clever rich girl", but it's going to have a backstory and meaning to the decision...

What will she do? I don't know, your going to just have to wait and see! ;)

Also I know Starters like Charmander, Torchic and Piplup have an exclusive status within the games, but in the anime they're encountered almost like normal Pokemon, so I don't think starters have to be very rare.

Can we only have one mega? I mentioned before that I haven't played any of the last 2 games, and I don't know how mega evolution works.

Also, In Firered at least, you could encounter ace trainers with Ivysaurs and Charizards down in victory road and a few other places, so the starters were at least running around somewhere.

You can have multiple that can turn Mega in your team, but only the one that has the Mega Stone can Mega Evolve.

yea basically Mega evolution requires two stones, also the pokemon has to be trained to handle mega evolution

*cough lucario cough cough* or you may end up with a rampage. and as Sho said you can have mutiple mega evolution pokemon in your team but only one can really turn mega due to you only having one keystone.

well that settles it, i can't have any pokemon on my team for years... according to the route list XD

plus it honestly makes no sense if given some thought, you wouldn't have baby pokemon running around without there parent's. sure you can put forward the sense that in the early routes of the game thats all you encountered, but that was a mechanic to allow progression, but when you transistion pokemon into a roleplay, you gotta imply where the wild pokemons parents are, if they are a baby pokemon (base) so yea honestly, they can't all be orphans.

I know, but you can only have one mega so I'd prefer gyarados, mainly because it's cooler. I'd still probably have a swablu anyway though, for support.

Anywho, I think the RP is closer towards the anime in the sense of finding and capturing Pokemon (because who wants to write several paragraphs about walking though tall grass and not finding anything).

In the anime, if you wanted to find a specific Pokemon, just wander around the wilderness and keep your eyes peeled; bring some binoculars and befriend it!

I think that would entail better story lines of really becoming friends with Pokemon on your journey instead of beating it up and throwing a Pokeball at it while watching the ball shake 3 times.

Does that make sense? Its late ugh. XD

In that case it should just be a list of encounterable Pokemon there, and labelling the really rare ones as well, rare, meaning if you want to pursue those ones, you'll have to work pretty hard.

The rest, you would be free to encounter, or have the GM randomly roll you one of them.

What about pokemon noton the route, it should be more of give a climate type thing and you can find pokemon of that climate their, becauss honestly your gonna leave out a shit ton of pokes the way you doing it...

you can't really do a percentage, because at the end of the day, you won't be able to fit all 680 pokemon (this is minus the legendarys)

so if you had put forward a idea like, say.

you won't find a eevee that easy because they are rare
and as such you just put pokemon into raritys like so

Pidgey - Common
Tauros Uncommon
EEVEE - Rare
shinys/psuedo legendarys/Very rare Super rare
(a legendary) - Legendary

so yea basically and then you just sort them into climates, it makes it more wholesome of a region then with the whole

You only find certain pokemon on certain routes, because honestly thats not true, because if pokemon where real, they would migrate and move, for breeding and if the water source was lost, Etc

I do have a question for you charak. If we have parent Pokemon, will they have more power (essentially being higher level) than their children? Which might make the routes more difficult to traverse at some points? (Which I'm totally fine with, I just need to know.)
