My goodness the OOC has been flooded. anyway in response to this.

I may choose Gallade for my Mega though.

I was hoping to Mega my Gallade eventually if that's alright.

I do still have a bunch of other options. Gallade was the one I considered for aesthetic purposes. Hell I might make it my 2nd shiny. The others that I'm also likely to choose is Garchomp and Scizor.

I was thinking of Garchomp as well :D I just like Garchomp. The only thing that disappointed me about him, was his shiny form.

Shiny Garchomp is the most fabulous thing though.

I do hope that there'll be more GM participation when acting as Environment. Being able to just get a Pokemon like this, doesn't feel all that exciting, I guess it's fine for me since it's one I quite want, but at the moment the rest of my party is undecided so it'll be largely random encounters that I'll depend on to make a team. Maybe please Abysmal or Charak, please control wild Pokemon in the future...? I mean seriously, it's way more fun that way for the players.

You can even have what happened in an old RP I was in and give players the information they need to act as Environment for other players.

Yes we will of course. I only made the exception, and will make the exception for the others, only because it's shiny, and I don't want you guys to get a shiny you don't want.

@Sho Minazuki I mean no offense, but in other posts(you don't have to edit this one) could you put more into catching the Pokemon. I noticed you put, 'just like that.' Maybe ask it first, or battle it. As I don't think a Snivy will just randomly agree to be put into a pokeball without having seen the trainer who threw it at it.

Well see, that's the thing about Pokemon. The Pokemon you near-fainted in games were captured without consent, and you get worse from some instances in the anime where they're beaten down first. It's also entirely possible for them to just be caught straight up, most often because it was unsuspecting.

But if you wanted more to happen, you should've made more happen. Writing out an event would've taken far longer, and honestly on my own feel silly.

@AbysmalDemon@Sho Minazuki

He caught it off guard, and in the anime they don't beat up pokemon; they just throw a pokeball at it and hope for the best.

Sometimes it doesn't work, and they spend the episode trying to make the pokemon friendly enough to be captured; but its not out of the ordinary :)

Pretty much.

I don't expect to do this again unless I'm really high level and catching very low levels.

I also want to talk about Pokemon levels one more time, just to make sure you thought it through. As in... Levels in the games were made for the player's own progression, to guide their progression and give them a quantifiable way of knowing how strong something is or when it gets stronger and so on. Not to mention because you follow one route generally in the games, they can make the wild Pokemon get stronger and stronger as you progress down that planned path.

In this RP's case, we have a lot of options for paths we can take around the region, so there also comes the issue of... We may run into Pokemon way too powerful for us, we'll never be able to have a well-leveled team because if we all set them low so that encountering Pokemon too strong doesn't happen, when we get new members to the party they'll be underleveled.

In the anime, levels don't exist, and I don't think I need to say more than that.

I say level, just so we have a general idea of how strong it is, we don't have to mention it in the RP.

Why don't we make the wild pokemon across the whole region weak at the beginning of the RP. As time goes on then the wild pokemon will become progressively harder.

That's fine and dandy but check the second paragraph of that again. We'll still get this problem even if we use levels as a mere guideline.

"In this RP's case, we have a lot of options for paths we can take around the region, so there also comes the issue of... Also if they become progressively harder then it just becomes a lategame mess. We lose variety, we no longer have a feeling of 'Pokemon in the wild', it becomes Dark Souls, imagine coming across a Magikarp that sweeps your party at end game? Yeah. A wild one too.

I enjoy dark souls XD. Anyway a reasonable response would be to simply put a cap on wild Pokemon much like the games do, RP wise wild pokemon can only grow so strong without the help of trainers or unusual circumstances.@Sho Minazuki

EDIT: Random question, we still using the eye contact rule? XD
