Morgan Hazelnut

"Hmmm? No, I- I- i-" Morgan sneezed a couple of times, no doubt going to be sick at this point, trying not to infect the boy that just walked up to her. She didn't really feel bad and her temperature was still well within the normal range. She didn't find herself to be contagious at this point. "E-excuse me. My apartment suddenly had the fire alarm tripped, and it started raining. This quilt was the only thing dry I had left" She gave out a nervous chuckle as she sat against the wall, readjusting her quilt to make sure nothing showed. "But no, I'm fine thanks for asking. My name's Morgan, nice to meet you. I don't recall seeing you around before, but if you need anything I live right here, feel free to come over."

ASAHI GOROSHI

”Yuuno! Wait, please, I just want to talk!” But alas, Yuuno left him behind. The fear on her face… Asahi has seen it many times before, typically on the people he attacks. Kids the Sweepers mark for him to eliminate. Normally a look he relished, but on Yuuno it was a horrible thing. He wondered if she was still shocked at what he did at the pizza parlor. He thought nothing of it at the time; it was just part of his life, the fighting, the violence, the bloodshed. It was something he liked and did a lot of. Asahi wondered if this made him… Too strange for someone like Yuuno. Surely not, after all, Deep Ground practically cultivates that sort of aggressive behavior. But Asahi’s own feelings about it and his feelings for Yuuno mired all of this.

An alarm rang in Asahi’s mind and he noticed that Train was even closer now. In fact he turned around and noticed him just entering the hall. ”Train! Naughty boy, I’ve been looking all over for you!” Asahi went to go retrieve his cat, but his mind couldn’t stop thinking of Yuuno. He needed to find her, talking to her, explain himself. But he couldn’t do it in person; she fears him here. No, Asahi knew the only way he could talk to her was if she thought she was on equal, or at least fair, grounds with him. That means Asahi needed to find Yuuno in Deep Ground.

Speaking of Deep Ground, Asahi looked at the message in his inbox and noticed it was from that Regelia kid again. But worse, it was about Eclipse Princess. The message was short and sweet; she was killing her soldiers at the gate of the Black City. This caused Asahi to punch a nearby pillar, cracking it. ”That damn bitch doesn’t know when to quit!” Asahi’s emotions were getting the better of him as he felt a mixture of frustration and worry. Worry about Yuuno, worry about the Sweepers who follow him, frustration at his own life style, and frustration at Eris’s vendette. Asahi took Train and looked for someone safe to log into Deep Ground, such as one of the private booths in the Purple Crown lounge. He rented it for the next hour, and expected to be finished by then.

Welcome, Arms Slave!

ARMS SLAVE

Arms Slave landed in the middle of the Guild Hall in the Black City. The rest of his troops, mostly a bunch of low level sweepers (Though nearly all of them had just leveled up recently) who were looking around confused. He quickly got the jist of the information from them: Eclipse Princess, otherwise known as Eris, had been camping at the front of the gate killing off pretty much everyone who came by. She says that she was only attacking Sweepers, but without any means of identification aside from word-of-mouth, anyone and no one who walked through those gates could be a Sweeper. A few had already died trying to get past her, and the rest didn’t want to head out for fear of death. Arms Slave could understand their concern; he wasn’t the type to think that numbers alone could have defeated Eris. Most of these players were still new to the game and didn’t have PvP down yet.

”Don’t worry I’ll handle this. Continue the construction as planned. Worse case scenario we’ll have to push our plans back a day or two. Come and watch if you want but don’t engage her.”

Arms Slave ran out of the guildhall and walked right towards one of the battle bikes. Fast and sturdy motorcycles, voided of any weapons beyond the normally aesthetic spikes, used mostly to transportation and scouting. Arms Slave intended to use it for the former. Mounting a bike Arms Slave drove towards the entrance where Eris was at, and on the way he sent a message out to Phantom Regality (He couldn’t send one to Eris herself because he had put her on his block list).

RETSU GOROSHI

Retsu was getting updates like mad. Eris continued her warpath, and worse still, Asahi had just logged in. ”Oh this is going to end so well.” She sighed. Asahi she could deal with as an Eraser. Eris… Retsu could deal with her too, technically, but perhaps it’d be best for Moon Rider to get involved instead. Retsu shouldn’t get involved until things really get out of hand. After getting her belongings Retsu was going to go meet up with Yoshino near the school gates, though instead she ended up finding Yoshino in the halls. Retsu was about to call out to her when she noticed that Yoshino was staring intently at someone. Quietly she approached and saw that Yoshino was staring off at none other than Chiyo Kuroke. Retsu supposed she shouldn’t be surprised that Yoshino’s estranged sibling came by to cause trouble, though Retsu was perplexed by the masked stranger next to her. Retsu had only heard slight rumors of Chiyo’s personal protector, but it seemed that those rumors had some merits.

”Hello Tsugumi-san, and you too Kuroke-san. And of course you as well, Kamen-san.” Retsu said with a hint of sarcasm. Face-concealing headwear that was not part of a costume ensemble were probably not allowed at purple crown (It’s certainly not part of a uniform), but Retsu could imagine that Chiyo’s clout as the White King, member of the student Council, and other titles allowed her privileges. Retsu smiled politely and had an almost girlish stance, a facade to hide her true self. She bowed her head towards Yoshino before speaking again. ”I’ve come to pick you up, Tsugumi-san. Would you like to go now, or…?”

Arkadian Elesir

He looked past Morgan into her room. Everything was dripping wet and even though she said she was alright the amount of sneezing was worrying. His room was just around the corner so this was probably going to work out...

"I'll... I'll be back!" He said.

He pushed himself up to his feet and dashed for his room, leaving all of his books on the ground. He ran through the door and went straight for his kitchen, and took out his thermos while he put some water on to boil. He quickly took out his thermos before running into his room. He opened his wardrobe and dug to the very bottom of his pile of clothes and took out The Hidden One.

"I never thought I'd take it out again..." He sighed.

It was a plain white cotton shirt with a very adorable cat on the front of it. It wasn't just any cat however, it was a picture of Christopher.

When will be the next time that I am able to hold him in my arms again? ... ...? He thought dramatically.

He was snapped out of his thoughts however as the kettle clicked to tell him his water was done. He snatched up some comfortable pajama pants and also a spare blanket he had with him. He wasn't quite sure what the girl's size was but the pants had a draw string to adjust it and the shirt was already big on him so it would definitely fit her. He put it all in a cloth bag and went back to his tea.

He took out a teabag and some sugar and put them in the thermos. He put three and a half spoons of sugar which was just how he liked it and poured the hot water in. He'd been saving the thermos for winter, when the inevitable day would come where it could be so cold he wouldn't be able to feel his fingers like it always did. He imagined it would have been nice seeing fools suffer from their lack of foresight even with so many tools at their disposal...

He finished stirring the tea and put the lid back onto the thermos. He put that into the cloth bag as well and ran back outside. He arrived back at Morgan's room out of breath and panting. His face was red too from the exercise.

"I got you-... something-... warm!" He said breathlessly. He put the cloth bag next to Morgan and bent down to pick up his books.

"Those clothes-... should fit you..." He continued. "Better-... than that-... probably."

He tried to take a deep breath but failed at keeping it in and it turned into a yawn instead.

"And also, after you're done with that shirt, I'm going to want it back." He pointing at the cloth bag while looking directly at Morgan. "It has my cat on it."

Then he ran off without giving Morgan a chance to respond.

Morgan watched as the boy nervously took off to who knows where, bringing a smile to her face. Cute kid, seems a bit timid... She just sat in front of her apartment, staring at the sky as she laid herself out to dry and aired out her room. She couldn't help but notice is books, taking a look without touching as he suddenly reappeared bearing gifts. "No, really I can't accept..." She wasn't able to get a word in while he was there, her words fading into the empty space he used to be. "Um, thanks..." She sat there thinking that she'd have to repay him when she returned his stuff. She didn't really need it, but she couldn't deny his helpfulness, especially at a time like this. She took the gift and went inside, finding a dry place as she put on his clothes, and opened the tea while taking a swig. That was some mighty fine tea.

Not wanting to wait around any longer for her apartment to dry, she went out to the local coffee shop with a window looking out towards the Records building. She'd need to go back in one of these days, maybe stick to pencil and paper. She relaxed ordering a hot chocolate as she finished thy boy's tea, planning her next move.

Zachary Noris

Zachary watched as the cat escaped before he could pick it up, attacking the bullies with the other girl. The girl that had started it then made her escape with the blonde girl, who seemed like the victim at the time. While this was happening, a number of other people had arrived at the scene, including the Student President herself. One bully tried to confront her and a few others, but was soon scared away.

Zachary merely stayed and watched for much of the event, but he eventually decided that he had better things to do and began walking away. It wasn't his place to interfere in any of that anyway, even if he wanted to. He doubted the Student President had any business with him either.

As he walked, Zachary began wondering what he should do for the day. Truth be told, he wanted to go to sleep when he went back to his room. However, there were other things he felt like he needed to do. Message that girl in Deep Ground, for one. What was her name again? Smitten Kitten, that was it. With his agenda in mind, he began making his way back home. Very shortly after, though, he soon encountered the two girls from the bullying event. As Zachary looked at them, he couldn't help but feel that he recognized the brown-haired girl, though from where he didn't know. He pondered it for a brief moment, then decided that he would figure it out later and moved on, walking past them.

Yoshino Tsugumi

Both Yoshino and Chiyo turned to look when Retsu announced her presence. And while the Student President gave her a nod, Chiyo only huffed and brushed her hair back, as if Retsu wasn’t worth the dirt on her shoes. As for “Kamen-san”, the boy just nodded, not really caring for the nickname.

“We can leave now Retsu. Please excuse any misguidances from the most studious White King,” Yoshino said with a glare at the other girl. Best to leave now before the two ended up trading more than heated words. As each group turned their separate ways, Chiyo couldn’t help but throw one last retort.

“Hiding behind your bodyguard? How coy of you Shino. It’s like you’re trying to say something about yourself,” she said with a smirk. “Kamen-san” merely nodded at Retsu in acknowledgment before following the White King. Yoshino stared after them with balled up fists and a quiet sense of rage.

“You’re one to talk…sorry to keep you waiting Retsu. Shall we?”

Eclipse Princess vs Phantom Regality

Begin Duel!

BGM

Realizing exactly who he had just challenged to a duel, Phantom Regality gulped visibly. He did, however, know that he had to follow up with the challenge, and drew a shining sword from his belt, along with a black grimoire. In a sense, this powerful yet unnamed book was the source of power for most Necromancers. Well, the ones he knew anyway.

Without thinking fully, as Phantom summoned forth six bright green wisps, he initiated the fight. The wisps flew directly past Eclipse Princess and into the mound of bodies, pulling out six level one Duelists and raising them as his thralls. "Alright, let's do this." He spun his sword in his hand, the black book suspending itself beside him. It was right around now that he realized how screwed he was.

"Tsc, I was waiting for a more impressive opening from a mage, but so be it." Eclipse Princess said, a hint of disdain coloring her voice as if she were really expecting more of someone who had the guts to come and challenge her. "Then again what did I expect of a Necromancer?" Eclipse Princess scoffed.

"Brace yourself!" those were the last words to come out of Princess' throat, before she fell deadly silent. Kicking the ground with enough force to crack the place where she was standing, Princess charged at Regality, using the same opener she used against Stark Zealot, though, Eclipse Princess expected that someone who wasn't as skilled with a blade wouldn't see the obviously avoidable move for what it's.

And if he did? That's when Eclipse Princess would start to get fired up.

Lucky for him, Phantom Regality was a decent swordsman, and dodged to the side just as the tip of the blade reached him. Taking the opportunity, he made a quick slash at Eclipse Princess, managing to clip a loose piece of cloth from her armor. Without a solid connection, however, no damage was done at all. A defensive fight it would be.

He called his thralls over and formed them up around him, providing a weak barrier that he could at least fight from behind effectively.

Eclipse Princess smiled, it looked like Phantom Regality wasn't all that worthless, after all, even then he had much to learn about swordsmanship. Before the undead could flock around him and force Eclipse Princess to waste one attack to take them down, she countered Regality's attacked by locking his returning sword hand between the hilt of her own sword and her gauntlet, in a hook motion. Using the left-over momentum of her swing, Eclipse Princess spun around and let Regality's hand go, throwing him against the wall.

Eclipse Princess though about commenting that a sword is much more than just its blade, the hilt, pommel and crossguard are all parts of the weapon and must be used properly, by any well trained swordsman. Yet, the image of Stark Zealot came to her mind, the pride she have being the main reason she lost that fight, a lesson Eclipse Princess would do well to remember. The feeling of a real fight coming back to her filled Eclipse Princess with joy, though this certainly spelled doom for her foes, Princess seemed more enthusiastic than ever, her very footwork now was like dance steps, certain and firm, but at the same time swift and gracious.

Without any skills to avoid the crash (and even further away from his undead), Regality would be in for a world of pain in a couple moments, but Princess wanted to end this duel soon enough and she followed the throw by running after Regality. After he crashed on the wall, Eclipse Princess would run up the side of it with a couple powerful kicks and flip around in the air. An Icarus Attack when Regality had little to no way of dodging would do the trick, Princess thought.

Right as she kicked off the wall, Phantom Regality knew exactly what was about to happen. She was gonna end this in one hit, and there was no way he could stop it. No matter what, he was likely about to die and face a respawn, unless...

"Oh goddammit!" With an audible shrink, his sword was off of the ground and raised directly up at Eclipse Princess, held firmly in both of his hands. She could easily follow through with her attack, but at the cost of being impaled on the blade. Either way, she would be winning, it was just a matter of how much health she would have at the end of the duel. If a longsword going through your stomach is survivable, that is.

"Hmm?" Eclipse Princess was surprised by Phantom Regality's desperation move, she didn't had much time for any reaction, not that she would react in any way to begin with. After all, Regality had forgotten two things that Eclipse Princess was about to remember him of in less than one second.

First, Eclipse Princess' sword was longer than his, meaning that she could reach out and hack his health bar away, dropping him to barely above ten percent (winning the duel by damage), before she had to even worry about the sword. Second, any amount of damage was acceptable on DGO as long as it wasn't lethal, after all this is a game. With that in mind, Eclipse Princess grabbed Regality's sword with her right hand, gripping the blade firmly, if it were on the real world, Eris's hand would have been ruined forever and the effort would be useless anyway, but since it's the virtual one all that Eclipse Princess got of this was a five percent health down, a mere scratch that would be healed in a few minutes, but enough to Regality a look of respect.

"..." Silence was all that Eclipse Princess left behind as she walked away and sat besides the gate, only now noticing the many notifications popping on her HUD. She deleted most messages, but made sure to reply to one:

From: Eris Reinhardt

Subject: Reply.

Greetings.

If you are sending me this message, I believe that you must be in league with the Sweepers in Deep Group, right? Either way, I'm willing to attend your demands, however, I'm on the game as of now, as I'm pretty much sure you know. Rest assured, I plan to not keep on my murderous spree. It was funny, but eventually one grows tired of such fruitless labors.

I'm waiting for someone, right now, if you really insist on meeting face to face we could do it this evening, at 19:00, on the food court of the Shopping Arcade closest to Purple Crown. You may know my name, but not my face, thereby lookout for a person holding an original copy of Thus Spake Zarathustra, I never go out with it.

Beware that, since your message mentioned no secrecy, I plan to bring a friend, after all we have no plans for tonight, anyway.

Farewell.

With that said, Eris sent a message to Cassandra, who had just logged in right about now, to ask about her plans for tonight.

From: Eris Reinhardt
To: Cassandra O'Shera
Subject: Are you busy tonight?

Greetings.

I hate to impose on you, Cassandra O'Shera, in fact, I believe that my growing dependency on you may impact both of our lives in way we can't yet foresee. Thereby I'm asking you first if you have any plans for the evening, before laying out my own personal agenda.

Even so, we can play for a couple hours before I have to worry about last minute appointments. I'll be waiting for you by the Black City's Gate, so that we can decide what to do, personally.

Farewell.

An then, she just sat, reclining her back against the gate as she waited for Nies Hellum to arrive.

ARMS SLAVE

Arms Slave rushed to the fight as fast as he could. Just a few minutes behind him, a few other Sweepers followed, wanting to see the fight. He couldn't care less about spectators however, he was more concerned that Phantom was going to get himself killed. Zipping past players and over ramps and stairs, Arms Slave was near the gate. However the gate was open to allow players to come in and out freely, and through the gate Arms Slave could see Eclipse Princess. He could see that her name was in red, a sign that she had declared herself an Outlaw. Arms Slave said yesterday that he would hunt any outlaw down, regardless if they were part of the Ebony Strykers or not. Eris was testing his patience by doing this.

As he got closer, Arms Slave skidded to a halt about thirty feet in front of Eclipse Princess. He parked the bike and pointed towards a random player who was watching the fight. "Take this bike back to the Guild Hall." The player, eager to try and ride, took the bike. With some difficulty he managed to drive away as an audience formed around the buildings and streets, wanting to watch Arms Slave fight against the stronger player.

Arms Slave did not see Phantom Regality anywhere. He could only assume the worse; that the foolish necromancer tried to take Eclipse Princess head on and died. Arms Slave couldn't say he knew the kid very well or for very long. He literally just met him near the end of the last battle. But the kid showed promise and loyalty, two things that Arms Slave values. And he was willing to fight, and even die, not for himself but for Arms Slave and the Sweepers. Such dedication was hard to come across since most of the time it was just words and false promises. Arms Slave could only hope that Phantom didn't hold it against Arms Slave for being too late.

"Let me guess... You're one of those types who think only the strongest survive, and that the weak should just be fodder. You don't care a thing about cooperation, friendship, or any of that communal stuff. As long as you can keep on killing and fighting, everything will be all fine and dandy for you. But one day that strength is going to fail you. And your every-person-for-themselves philosophy will be your end." Arms Slave activated his Aura of Agony, not bothering to issue a formal duel. This way Eclipse Princess's attacks would be focused solely on him.

"I don't know why you joined the Ebony Stykers, but I doubt it was because you respected anyone in it. And you're either stupid or short-sighted to have joined the only guild who publicly allied themselves to the Sweepers. But that suits you, doesn't it? Just by being here you're causing problems. Fine by me. Because I got just the solution." Arms Slave draw out his weapons. But instead of his usual load out of two shields and two heavy slashing weapons, he instead equipped four daggers. Specifically, they were parry daggers. Normally Arms Slave used heavier equipment for the purpose of tanking damage from hard hitting mobs, but in a duel the only people he had to worry about was himself and his opponent. So he could afford to loose the shields and show off a different aspect of his tankiness: his speed.

"Whoever loses leaves the Ebony Strykers. Now maybe an honorless bitch like you won't do it even if I grind your face into the dirt, but with everyone here as my witness, if you defeat me I'll leave the Strykers and leave you and your friends in peace. Either way, only one of us walks away from this."

@KoL@Mega Birb

RETSU GOROSHI

Retsu said nothing at Chiyo's remark. She swore that Chiyo wasn't such a... Bitch. But maybe that was just because Retsu never really interacted with the White King. And knowing everything she does now, Retsu could certainly see the White King's darker side. "Let's go." After the girls left, Retsu activated her scanner. She hasn't used it in a while, but this way she could scan the chips of those within a 50 feet of her to make sure there aren't any eaves droppers. Retsu had a few things she needed to tell Yoshino that she couldn't waste time saying in an e-mail.

"There is a dispute in the Ebony Strykers. It seems that Eclipse Princess has decided to attack any Sweeper who goes out the main gate due to Arms Slave's actions yesterday. Based off the most recent update, Arms Slave himself has gone to confront her. Ever since Eclipse Princess revealed her identity and her e-mail had been spread into the internet, we have intercepted talk about those who are after her. As for Arms Slave, someone has already been sent to deal with him."

Of course Retsu didn't actually do it until now. She had been looking through her contact list for her non-sweeper allied contacts to see if any of them could deal with Arms Slave's foolishness. How they did it she didn't care for. As long as they could get him to stop, or put him on a leash. When she found one, she sent an e-mail to message the player.

"Hmm, a meeting with her of all people, and on such short notice as well. Whatever could Dark Wraith require of me?" Kanbaru spoke coyly to the open air as she leaned back in her desk chair, feet resting beside her sleeping computer while she re-read the succinct message sent her way. Of course it would take a complete luddite to be unaware of recent events that had been shaking up Deep Ground Online, and in particular the Black Guild, so she had a feeling she would be going to recently besieged Black City soon enough. "A message was sent to my avatar, understandable considering I myself am rather unknown at the moment, but it likely implies that whatever is required is for Broker. Yet she seemingly wants to meets in person, not unheard of, but tells me she wants an extra layer of privacy with this affair."

Speaking to herself wasn't the greatest of habits to develop, but she was the only person she didn't have to agree with so she ascribed to the belief the catharsis was worth any psychosis. Kanbaru leaned back, stretching out the kinks of her back before getting up and strolling to her wardrobe. As nice as it was to take a day to lounge in your night wear, there were jobs to take, work to be had, and Kanbaru couldn't do anything respectable without being properly dressed.

"Well, it should be better work than anything the White King has thrown my way. Not going to turn my noise up at Dark Wraith unless I want the Sweepers breathing down my neck, and I wouldn't want to be passed over for any jobs later down the road."

Hibiki Toho

Hibiki was out of breath by the time they stopped. Unlike her Deep Ground avatar, Hibiki was not nearly as athletic. The other two girls seemed fine though, so once she caught her breath Hibiki introduced herself. "My name is Hibiki Toho. Pleased to meet you!" After she said that the girl introduced herself as Itsuko Kanzaki, and the other girl was Cassandra. Before she could speak up Cassandra left and left Itsuko and Hibiki alone. "Oh! She... Well she was in a hurry. Um..." Hibiki wasn't too sure what to do from here. On one hand she was pretty certain that no one was chasing them. But Hibiki couldn't leave Itsuko alone. She seemed so fragile that a stiff breeze might shatter her. Besides that, Hibiki had already promised to protect her. And she doesn't break her promises!

"I'll walk you home! If those bullies show up again, I'll make show them what for!" Hibiki raised her fists up as if she was going to fight, though it was painfully obvious she didn't even know how to form a fist, let alone fight in real life. Dropping her fists, she then extended a hand out to Itsuko. "If you want that is. I promised to protect you, so I can't just leave you without knowing you'll be okay."

Nies hellum wasn't too sure where she had left her car, but supposed that was her pattern now. She either just destroyed cars or left them and didn't retrieve them. She shrugged to herself, deciding it didn't matter. She'd either stumble across it or she wouldn't.

As she received Eclipses message, Nies decided it would just be easier to respond in person. So leaving the thought of the car behind, she started towards the black gates. There were times when Nies thought she finally understood Eclipse, both in the game and in real life, and other times when she wondered just what she didn't know.

aware that there was probably still danger in the city, she kept attention to her surroundings, soon approaching the gates. She looked about for Eclipse, soon spying her and approaching. "I have no plans tonight. I'm guessing you do?"

Phantom Regality

Either way, the job had been done. Phantom Regality, while laying against the wall he had just been beaten to a pulp on, had managed to keep Eclipse Princess busy long enough for Arms Slave arrive. That's a noble goal, right? Well, he was just gonna try to get comfortable and wait for his health to slowly regenerate as he watched the oncoming fight. Not like he had anything better to do.

"Wait, shit."

The Necromancer remembered that he did, in fact, have something better to do. Logging out faster than was probably possible...
Jiro Katsurou

...Jiro launched off his bed and into the bathroom, taking a shower in less than a minute and getting dressed in his work clothes. He was off and running from the dormitories within the following minute, already an amount of time late for his job flipping burgers.

In his advanced state of adrenaline-fueled haste, he managed to weasel his way through the crowd that had formed around a few kid for whatever reason. Looking back at the ground that was largely giving him a death stare, he managed to collide with this blonde-haired guy in glasses and a gray shirt. He hit the ground and slid for about a around a meter, then sat up and checked his freshly-skidded elbows. "Oh crap, sorry kid! Er... what's your name?" Laughing uneasily, gave the boy he had just body checked a nervous smile.

@Scarifar@Lucius Cypher@KoL
Aaron Fletcher

Aaron watched Ken as he hesitated, awaiting an answer as to what happened. He had even considered withdrawing his hand before the boy grasped it firmly a shook. With introductions out of the way, he smiled a slightly, any hint of an intimidating demeanor fading. As his intentions were explained, the American nodded slowly. "Don't worry, I love the idea. Name needs a little work, though. How about... 'DGO Commons,' or something?" He realized the words fell upon deaf ears just as Eclipse Princess was mentioned. The only question was, what had she done?

Reacting with a move to the literal other side of the room as a war cry was heard from outside, be flinched slightly as a pink-haired girl charged into the side of a boy with orange hair and an eye patch. "Shouldn't someone help him..? No? Alright." Crossing his arms, he waited for another introduction.

With Ken acting as ambassador for Akane and Shiro, he nodded again, starting to listen intently. The news of what was happening in-game caught him off guard. Sure, Eris was the Edgelord Supreme based on his interactions with her, but a mass murder of sweepers? "She's gotta have a motive, she's getting no EXP from that. A larger goal in mind." Once again, no one was listening.

Out of nowhere the conversation came back to the club, at which point he confirmed Ken's final statement with another nod. As Shiro mentioned the Berserker once again, he jumped in on the end of his sentence. "Yeah, we're friends." He leaned on a desk and set his bag down, looking at everything that was happening at the current moment in the room.

......?

Heavy footfalls pounded through the darkness. He KNEW it'd been a bad idea to enter the abandoned building but he was regretting it even more now. He could barely see anything, and even though this guy wasn't a rogue, he sure knew how to hunt someone down. He tripped over his own feet and the darkness and cursed as he came tumbling down. There was no running from this guy, he'd even followed him all the way into the Black City of all places.

He struglled to his feet and kept on running, but then he hit a wall.

"Shit...!" He said quietly. "Dead end..."

Then he heard slow methodical footsteps coming from behind him. He couldn't tell exactly where it was coming from but it's not like he could do anything about it anyway. He took out his great club and dug his feet in. He was going to have to fight this one out...

"I'm not going to let you stop me from becoming a true Dunk Master!" He shouted in a shrill voice. "You're not going to kill me!"

The footsteps stopped. He tightened his grip on his club. This guy could attack fast, so he had to be ready for it. Suddenly, a creepy laugh rang out. It was an evil laugh, but not like it was intentionally an evil laugh. More like the laugher found something funny and he was just really evil. Like a ghost child laughing at his father's death after forcing her to commit suicide, something like that.

"You won't kill me!" He shouted, "I won't let you kill me now?"

The laughter continued and then it slowly tapered off...

"Oh, I'm not going to kill you..." The voice said. It was right behind him!

He whirled around but he wasn't fast enough, and he was knocked down from a shot at his back. His attacker planted a knee on him and leant down to his ear...

"All I'm going to do... His assailant shouted. IS SHOVE THIS LANCE DOWN YOUR THROAT!"

It was a young looking boy with blonde hair. He had a crazed look in his eyes, and his name was flashing red due to the Outlaw Declaration. It read: Rocket Lancer. He raised his lance as if to bring it down on the helpless Dunk Master.

"And if you just happen to die, it'll be a happy coincidence for me..." He finished.

"Finally..." He said, a wide, sneering grin on his face. "This body is amazing!"

What had his stupid main body been doing until now? 3 years and he'd only gotten this far? Pitiful. At least his desires were admirable. Deep Ground had given them this kind of body, small to increase speed and agility. A skill set to offset his lack of force, a long range travel basic ability. Perfect tools for a hunter...

"I guess it's about time for me to report back, isn't it?" He said.

It was a shame but he hadn't been able to use this body for very long. He had taken control approximately four days ago, but Deep Ground had been taken down for maintenance for two days out of those four, so his time had been severely limited. Over that time however he'd been able to take three targets from his body's list. He hadn't had anything else to go on but each of those targets had been very amusing to play with. Once he'd really gotten the hang of using his abilities, it hadn't been that difficult.

"I wonder where the boss is~? He said as he started whistling. He climbed onto his lance as he walked out of the building.

He had been born from Spaghetti. Every time Kosuke thought of Spaghetti, he became stronger. Spaghetti was the catalyst for Kosuke's rage, even if he couldn't feel it, and Kosuke's rage funelled strength directly into his mind. He would be in every bowl of Spaghetti that Kosuke would ever see, he was in every fond memory that Kosuke had ever had. He was alive now, and he would make sure it stayed that way.

Sora Naruse

Sora withdrew after the White King's imposing guard grabbed his wrist, a wry grin playing across his face as he raised his hands into the air, indicating no harm intended. He wanted to object when one of the boys had grabbed the White King's shoulder, but he decided to avoid patronizing Chiyo by allowing her to handle it. However, as the student president approached and confronted the leader of the Ivory masks, Sora could only silently withdraw with a peace sign towards the other boys that had been part of the bullying group.

He had done what he wanted and his uniform was still somewhat ruffled, thus he chose tactical retreat back to his dorm. After a day of sleeping through all his classes in school, he felt rejuvenated and ready to compete in the arena once again before meeting his grind quota before returning to the school for more sleep. Although his grades suffered due to his lack of mental presence at the academy, he managed to skirt by with barely above average grades by cheating homework off friends and being able to retain most anything he does learn while he is conscious.

When he returned to his musty room, he nonchalantly hopped on his bed, the old frame groaning under his weight. Almost automatically, Sora jumped into DGO without a second thought.
Welcome Back, Neron

Neron stood in the middle of the Arena's matching lobby. Often teams would form or people would challenge each other to duels and simply go to the Arena’s designated areas for penalty-less combat. Neron himself had become a fairly frequent face there and was beginning to build a name for himself. He had found a friend for himself in a berserker type warrior named Furious Zen, although he didn’t speak much, Furious Zen was very popular as a brawler and would often be invited to numerous teams for group matches and large scale 1v1s. Neron had paired with him a couple times in 2v2s and raised his renown extremely quickly. The silent character would often invite Neron to participate in a 1v1 as they had never actually competed to see who was better, but Neron always refused politely and happily invited him to 2v2 and other group matches.

On that particular day, Neron was feeling especially competitive, his messages to Furious Zen pertaining purely to the phrase “PKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPKPK”. Eventually, his fighting partner simply replied with a ”k” before they partied up and joined into a lobby. Neron immediately began spamming in the pick-up chat “2v7 Neron and Furious Zen duo”. Eventually, some people with renown similar to Neron joined into the matchmaking lobby somewhat curiously, even Furious Zen was somewhat interested as he messaged Sora with a ”?”.

Neron merely started the match after all 7 slots were filled on the opposing team and turned to Furious Zen nonchalantly, “We’ve been winning 2v2s every game, I think we might as well go for some real training!” He explained whimsically, his somewhat mechanized voice taking on a frivolous tone.
Zen simply looked at Neron expressionlessly, his face hidden behind a devilish looking traditional opera mask, ”...”

Custom Match Start!

As soon as the match began, someone on the opposing side messaged in the match chat
“Joined because of Furious Zen’s name, but who’s the other guy and why 2v7?”
Neron simply replied,“Try your best :)” Before lunging forward, his duelist character circling about the mountainous terrained arena without slowing down. Furious Zen simply walked forward without much urgency, his neutral stance appearing somewhat helpless as the 7 opponents cautiously proceeded forward, uncertain of the circumstances. After a few moments spectators began to join in at the listing of a 2v7. Noticing Furious Zen’s name, some began to cheer for him, hoping to see him take on 7 opponents with perhaps a healer supporting him. However, many also noticed the fact that his paired ally was a duelist, and level 2 at that. Compared to Furious Zen’s level 7 and the opponent’s average level of 6, it seemed as if Zen’s partner was simply deadweight looking for extra glory.

After a few seconds of travel, 5 of the players intercepted the nonchalant Furious Zen who instantly jumped into action while 2 others went searching for the second adversary. Furious Zen automatically began with firing off a series of 3 bloody grapples that attached to 3 of the 5 players engaging him and pulled them to himself without much grandeur. Instantly, he slashed as the 3 players also jumped into action. 2 of the pulled players were Mage classes while the third was a Rogue class. Automatically the two mages tried to leap away as the 2 players that were not grappled began to run at Furious Zen. Zen’s dual axes slashed manically at the two mages, using a leap ability as one of the mages tried to teleport away, landing on top of him and cleaving downward ruthlessly, smashing the mage in two. Just as he looked up, he spotted a arcane bolt barreling towards him from the other mage as the squishy class retreated frantically. Zen simply lunged slightly to the side as the arcane bolt narrowly missed the side of his head, following his simple move, he burst towards the mage like a silent demon. His health untouched as he swung his axes in a circle and cleaved directly through the mage’s conjured mana shield and sent him tumbling backwards but still alive. Furious Zen was about to follow through when the Warrior tank class finally intercepted him and slammed into his side. Zen was unfazed as he rotated in mid-air and smashed one of his axes down towards the head of the tank. The tank shielded himself from the swing with a large shield and used the short sword in his other hand to swing at Zen’s abdomen. The berserker merely hopped back out of the range of the swing, perfectly measuring its range before tilting forward to lunge back at the tank. However, before he could lunge in, the rouge he had pulled before stabbed him in the back with a gouge, causing bleed damage and a temporary stun.

The tank took advantage of the stun and slashed down with the sword before following up with a shield bash, chaining the stun as the mage began to deal heavy damage to the incapacitated Berserker. The Rouge was about to follow up with a twin bladed attack when a black shadow fell from above at ridiculous speeds while yelling something unintelligible, a blade leading the shadow’s fall as he slammed into the Rouge, flattening the female character mercilessly. The figure of an armored character withdrew his sword from the rouge and quickly continued his assault with a few slashes before she could recover and retreat behind the Tank. The appearance of Neron startled the surrounding opponents, but it was difficult to become wound up about a level 2 Duelist without their first feat. However, the odd appearance of 4 missile-like chasers that floated about Neron put the more experienced Tank and Mage to become slightly more wary. Unfortunately, nobody took Neron seriously and most of the focus was on the retreating Furious Zen who was slowly regenerating health from his life leech. The Tank began to pursue the retreating Berserker but Neron stood in the way with his shield raised just below the eye slits.
”Ah, not quite, I can imagine you want to chase those sweet cheeks across the map, but I’m quite jealous and would like to simply dance.” He taunted happily.

The spectator’s excitement had increased many fold watching the prowess of Furious Zen taking on 5 other players, and the cheers exploded when Neron dropped from one of the cliff sides to take out 75% of the Rouge’s health, making up for a difference in 3 levels by a surprise attack and a series of brutal follow up slashes to the lightly armored class. Neron had taken notably less damage than expected from his fall due to the roguish padding beneath him, but he was at 80% going into the fight. Despite his disadvantaged appearance, many began to cheer for him as the underdog.

The Duelist who had finally approached from the side to take on Neron and Zen laughed as the Tank was stopped by Neron and his banter. The Duelist called out as he moved to circumvent Neron and head towards Furious Zen.
“Ignore the trash! He’s only a level 2 noob, Zen’s at 60%, we can’t let him regenerate!”
The Tank nodded in acknowledgement and raised his shield above his head preparing to use his shield smash ability to knock down Neron and pass over him, however, Neron’s pride did not allow the instructions to pass over his head. His eye slits glowed with mock fury as Neron jumped just as the Tank slammed down his shield and kicked off the shield, distancing himself from the Tank as he raised his head to look about
”Who just called me ‘trash’? Wait up for a moment! Let grandpa come over and teach you how to fucking spell ‘trash’”
He quickly retreated to Furious Zen, cutting off the Duelist’s flank and causing a stalemate as both sides waited to make the move, Furious Zen slowly healing but nobody willing to lunge forward and face both Zen and another Duelist at the same time. However, Neron’s yelling did not cease.
”Who said it? Who? What are all of you waiting for? A bunch of level 6 players and you’re afraid of a little nooblet level 2 duelist? If I’m trash, what are you? Maybe non-recyclable trash? Completely worthless trash? Maybe steaming hot piles of shit? 1, 2, 3, 4 nice little pieces of trash lined up in a nice and orderly fashion? Are you all waiting to be thrown in the trash bins? But wait! You’re all non-recyclable, remember? Have some awareness you shameless trash. Every second you exist, you pollute this place, you should just stop…”
”SHUT THE FUCK UP” The Duelist finally screamed in annoyance.
Neron paused, simply watching the other group as a few quick moments of bated breath passed between the two stalemated groups. The 2 searching players finally appeared on the other side of the ridge, causing both Neron and Furious Zen to become further disadvantaged. Neron simply looked towards the Duelist with his helmeted features and once again began taunting,
”Huh? It was you? Good, you also look like a duelist. Awesome! But what’s this? You look different from other Duel Masters. Seeing how you look less handsome than a crumpled can on the side of the road, could it be… you’re the legendary… “
There was a pause before Neron suddenly yelled while spamming in the text chat a single phrase;

”TRASH MASTER?”

Following his battle cry, Neron launched his four chasers directly at the opposing Duelist as well as marking his as the target for his {Augmented Focus}. Without a pause, Neron slashed downward with his buffed speed while the Duelist’s retreat became sluggish following the landing of the four tracers. With a flurry of attacks, Neron began to slash into the opposing Duelist and launch the chasers as they formed at point blank. The other players began to move to oppose Neron, but Furious Zen used his leap ability once again, slamming into the Mage and throwing the Mage at the Tank to earn their attention. As Neron’s strength built from the chasers, he quickly cleaved the Duelist to less than a quarter of his health. He began announcing his attacks as they came, but by the time the Duelist could register how to counter, it would be too late. Thus, Neron followed through with a flurry of announced attacks. Occasionally, the Duelist would exchange blows and abilities, but he was wholly subjugated and overwhelmed from the beginning by Neron. Eventually he cried out a simple but ever-so-profound, “MOTHERFUCKER” before his body turned into a corpse and he was put into the muted spectator lobby.

Furious Zen was able to fight the three others to a stalemate, however, he was unable to gain any ground as he slowly lost health due to the fact that one of the searching players had been a healer while the other was another tank. Having the two other players join in, Furious Zen began to fall to a disadvantaged state until Neron finished the other Duelist and hopped into the fray. The Rogue had been healed to about 60% health remaining, but Neron fired off the 9 chasers he had remaining from his last fight while putting a {Augmented Focus} mark on her. Automatically, he put himself at a large advantage and quickly began to cleave away at her health. Unfortunately for Neron, The second Tank nailed him with a stun from his hammer and unleashed a series of abilities on him, taking him from 72% health to 48%. Neron recovered quickly, launching the 4 chasers around him at the Tank to knock the Tank back while he finished the Rogue. Reallocating his focus mark to the Tank, he began to fight the Tank with amped up speed while he continued to debuff the Tank. Unfortunately, the Healer was a veteran himself and was able to keep up with Neron’s damage output on the Tank despite all of his buffs and advantages.

Suddenly, Furious Zen leapt past the Tank and used a flurry of burst damage abilities to crush the Mage. The first Tank turned to engage Furious Zen, but the Berserker was already on his way to take out the Healer. Helplessly, the Healer began to retreat and was unable to allocate the same amount of heals to the second Tank. Neron quickly began to overwhelm the Tank with 29% health remaining he took the Tank from 82% to 15% in a mere few seconds. He began to save his chasers as he continued to attack, stopping them from launching but also losing his debuffs after the 10 seconds went up, slowing his dps quite notably. Eventually the Tank fell with Neron holding onto a 23% health bar. He had stacked 27 chasers to which he launched at the Healer all at once, blowing the Healer off the side of the ridge and to his death. Without further ado, Neron and Furious Zen quickly teamed on the remaining Tank and finished him quickly. Furious Zen stood at 50% health while Neron was at a much closer 22%.
Zen chuckled and typed, “close one”, before leaving the arena and appearing back in the Arena Lobby. Neron quickly followed suite as everybody paid their respects with simple gg’s. Neron reappeared in the Arena Lobby to some newfound zeal as many of the spectators had come out to congratulate and speak with Neron, who had stood on par with the renowned Furious Zen. Neron relished in the interaction and playfully added some to his friends list for later dueling as he left the Arena. He was quite tired following the intense 2v7 and was completely mentally fatigued from the fighting. Eventually, he made his way to the Ivory Mask territory in hopes of joining the guild. He began asking around like a true noob. Although he had done plenty farming and arena training, he had yet to really learn many of DGO’s mechanics.

Yoshino Tsugumi

“I figured as much,” Yoshino said with a sigh. Honestly, Eris and Retsu’s brother were starting to annoy her. While it was much appreciated to see their loyalty and resolve for the Black Guild, her employer was starting to become irritated at all this in fighting. Hearing that they were pretty much fighting now only proved her point.

“I see. Though knowing your brother, he may prove to be more thick-skulled than we can anticipate. That and Eris isn’t exactly one to back down either. I swear those two…if it gets out of line much longer, Moon Rider may have to step in herself.”

And neither Asashi nor Eris probably wanted that. As those two walked along one hallway, Kenji Nagato, the ill-tempered Green King was walking down another. Hands in his pockets and smoking a lit cigarette in school building because he didn’t give a fuck, he spotted some student with glasses aimlessly walking around like he didn’t know where to go or where he belonged.

“Hey kid, you lost or something? Or rather, shouldn’t you be logged onto Deep Ground? In case you didn’t notice, the servers are back on,” he said to Zachary. Speaking of Deep Ground, Bel’s expectations were not wrong as always. The first of the two players who had wanted to join the Blue Guild stood before the Blue City’s gates. He was a…strange looking fellow.

His Avatar name read Blue Joker and he knocked on the door once, twice, three times before waiting patiently. The Blue King herself had messaged him, telling him her assistant Absinthe Blue would personally be here to greet his joining. Seems Yuuno was late…that in itself was strange.

“Eheh, not my problem if she’s having some IRL issues. Girls these days. Wonder what’s she like. Blue King has some awful trust in her if she’s coming alone, eheh.”

Zachary Noris

Having successfully ignored the two girls, Zachary was back on track as he headed back to his room, but it seemed like fate had other plans for him. There was a large mass rushing towards him, then everything went in a blur. The next thing he knew, he found himself on the ground on his back, staring up into the ceiling. He blinked a couple times, then got back up from the ground and dusted himself off. A boy came up to apologize. When he asked for a name, though, Zachary stared at him blankly for a moment before saying, "Zachary." With that out of the way, Zachary continued with an "Excuse me," before sidestepping past Jiro, continuing on his path as if nothing had happened.

As he walked, though, he began to feel tired. With a yawn, he began looking around for good spots to take a rest, maybe even a nap or two. Someone seemed to take it the wrong way, however, as a green-haired guy came up to him and asked if he was lost. "I'm heading back to my room for that right now, actually," Zachary answered. Zachary then yawned, his fatigue still affecting him, and continued, "I'll be off, then," before walking past him as well. He was really in the mood for Deep Ground now. That, or sleep. One or the other.

Thomas Green

Thomas Green stared down at the paper on his desk. He held a pen in his right hand, twirling it absentmindedly. His right hand was curled under his chin, supporting a stern expression of deep focus. "Hmmm...." The boy hummed thoughtfully. Finally, he sighed and flopped back into his chair.
"That'll do for now." He said.

Flicking his arm over his shoulder he threw the pen away and leaned forward in his seat, crossing his legs on the chair. Thomas clasped his hands in front of his face while staring down at the pile of papers he'd haphazardly thrown onto the table. The bottom of the pile was mostly made up of his homework. It'd only distract him later, so he'd gotten it done first and set it aside. Everything above that, however, was much more important to him.

Thomas moved a few sheets off the top before fishing out a piece of paper. It was a rough draft for an advertisement for Purple Crown's almost derelict newspaper club. Strewn across his desk were pieces of similarly worded missives with the intention of gaining new members for the newspaper club, or what used to be the newspaper club.

There were a few reasons as to why he was trying to gain new members, first and foremost being that he needed them. Under-performing clubs tended to have a very low life expectancy in purple crown. After all, adults didn't pay taxes for organisations to twiddle their thumbs for who-knows-how-long, why should high schoolers? The Newspaper club had its shortcomings in the name newspaper. The digitization of modern society had basically made paper defunct. Who needed paper stuff when you could get whatever you needed anytime anywhere with holographic interfaces? And then there was the news bit. The news produced by the newspaper club was never particularly new, not when there were forums for just about everything that existed.

The Newspaper club had enjoyed a few glory days in the early times of purple crown, but that didn't last long. Its relative "fame" drew mediocrity into its ranks, digital advances made paper more and more obsolete and after that, one hostile takeover staged by incompetent members through Deep Ground was all it took to destroy the rest, leaving Thomas as one of the only 2 members of the newspaper club. Of course, by the time Thomas had joined the newspaper club was halfway in the grave and most of the culprits had already graduated.

The old president of the newspaper was a good person but he didn't have enough resources to claw back. They kept on losing members right until the day the president graduated. Of course, by then, it was only Thomas and his cousin, Alicia. To take the newspaper club back there would need to be some serious changes. Serious changes Thomas had planned on taking.

"Open browser." Thomas said, hunched over the desk.
The glowing blue interface shimmered to life on his left. His screen was set to the school forums, the last page he'd visited. Flicking his way to the public forums he quickly began a new post.

JOIN THE NEWS CLUB

Are you Interested in doing something fun in your spare time? Are you good at writing, speaking and finding information? Well then, FUCK OFF. We don't need people who are good at their jobs, we need people who are FUCKING SENSATIONAL. This isn't for fun, this is serious business.

You can find news anywhere but that doesn't make it any good. And we don't need to be good, we need to be fucking GREAT. If you think you have the chops to stay ahead of the pack, I DARE you to go to the newspaper club room, and we'll see what you've got.

(3rd room on the second floor of building 2 after school EDIT: lunch time, look for the sign. Sorry for the foul language, please join, we need members.)
President of the Newspaper club

"That'll do for now" Thomas muttered, looking over his work.
Thomas pressed the publish button and dismissed the screen. Item 1 on the agenda was cleared, though he wasn't entirely sure it'd be effective. He didn't have much choice, though, and he likely needed the kinds of people that'd respond to something like that.

There were 3 things the newspaper club needed to get back to its former glory; members, news and the personal touch. The first item on the agenda was being taken care of, and that particular truck would get somewhere soon, hopefully. Getting news was tied with getting members. There was simply too little he could do as one person that anyone actually cared about. He'd need multiple stories covered at multiple angles, something he couldn't do with only 2 people. The last thing the newspaper club needed was a Thomas Green personal touch; the newspaper club needed a new format. But he'd already drawn the plans for that so he'd build that bridge when he got there.

But now that members was being taken care of, it was time for him to get some news.

Thomas uncrossed his legs and got out of his chair, stretching his stiff muscles before letting our a yawn. He shuffled lethargically to his bed before flopping down with a sigh. Turning over to face the ceiling, he had took a moment to marshal his thoughts. Quite frankly, Thomas was getting frustrated by the state of affairs.

The black king's announcement, the black city sweepers gathering, the dissolution incident and the forced log out event made the past week a veritable buffet of interesting and, more importantly, marketable stories to write but he hadn't been do anything. He'd weighed the options of joining the black guild and decided not to - but he'd observed the dissolution incident and he'd deduced the sweeper gatherings, but he'd been busy organizing the comeback of the Newspaper club. He couldn't help but feel like he'd missed something important in the black city but he couldn't get into the city at the time anyway. Something had happened there that he would definitely regret not knowing about, and he would find out what it was.
"No matter what..." He muttered out loud.

Eclipse Princess vs Arms Slave

While Eclipse Princess waited for Nies' arrival, sat on a stone, beside the Black City's Gates, Arms Slave finally decided to show his helmeted face and spew a load of crap on Princess' face. "God, is that how people see my arguments as well? That's just so... annoying." Eclipse Princess sighed deeply before turning her head to face Arms Slave with a half-hearted glare.

"Can you please tone down the yelling? I think I'll have a migraine whenI log out just from it. By the way, you're late for the advice, Obi-wan, anyway what I do or don't is not of your concern. I'm, tired of this all."

"You say I don't respect anyone here? Yeah, you maybe mostly right. Outside of our King and the few non-Sweepers around, that is. You say I'm a honorless bitch? That I may be, but it's still a world better than being a monkey yelling nonsense around while trying to impress a crowd that largely doesn't give a damn about it. And, before you say it, I'm talking about myself, I just don't care about yours and your lackeys' actions anymore as long as you get one thing straight."

"You are not gods, you don't have the right to judge people in the real world. That said", Eclipse Princess said as she finally got back to her feet, her avatar barely able to reach Arms Slave's lower chest, and drew her sword once more. "I'm not some one to run away from fights and There's still my promise to pay you back for that image of your dismembered phallus. What effect did you thought that something as irrelevant as that would have on me?" Eclipse Princess readied herself for the battle, saying just one last remark before closing her eyes and summoning and summoning all the concentration she could, "Just one last thing, you can quit the Strikers all you want, because I won't, even if you win by some manner of miracle." Relearning to fight with her head in the right place was, but somehow Eris had to manage it, otherwise she would be squandering all that she fought for up to now.

Arms Slave grunted. Honestly, he didn’t expect Eris to actually agree, so he had no obligation to do so either. ”Whatever. You’re no different from me, little miss Black Fox, so you can quit with the ’I’m better than you bullshit’. We’re both killers and we love it. That’s all that matters, don’t you think?” Arms Slave spun his daggers in his hand, waiting for Eris’s attack. As a tank he often fought on the defense, but he could always get the first strike in if he had to. Plus he wanted to annoy Eris, which would be easy to do simply by talking to her. ”So come on, edge whore, let’s see those attacks you’ve been dying to show off. Let’s just see how strong and overpowered you really are, and let’s see just who exactly it impresses. Give us a good show, entertain the audience! Indulge in your little power fantasy."

Since she was fighting a brainless brute, Eclipse Princess wasn't going to offer her costumary courtesy swing, after all what was the point? Furthermore, someone like Arms Slave would never understand, the difference between he and Eris, this wasn't really a fight, but a pure slaughter. Arms Slave goad was obvious, indulgin him for a bit wouldn't hurt and perhaps he would notice how much stronger Eclipse Princess truly is. Following the childish provocation, Eclipse Princess's sword traced a shining elipse in the air as she swung it diagonally upward and then downward, behind her. On the return path to her default stance, Princess' blade scraped the ground bellow them, throwing dirty on Arms Slave's eyes. Well, he had four arms, didn't he? Who knows if there are spare eyes under that helmet?

Fortunately for Arms Slave, he wore a helmet. Thus the dirt landed on his helmet, but he could still see just fine. As the dirt was thrown at him, he launched on of his chains at Eris. He intended to disarm her by grabbing her sword, possibly grabbing her. Failing the aimed so he could also grab the wall behind her it pull himself into it. But in the most probably event that she simply dodged and tries to strike the chain, Arms Slave had one more trick up his sleeve.

Eclipse Princess simply stood her ground as Arms Slave tried to chain her, in fact, she extended her left arm, allowing the chains to catch her with ease. She was stronger than him, after all, a mere tug of war was no thing for her. Whatever result that came from it was good for Eclipse Princess in the end, since she didn't exactly had the time to to spare on Arms Slave and planned to end the fight by the next couple moves. All she needed was a sure hit and that was more than likely now.

The chain wrapped around Eris's arm, but it didn't stop there. The chain overshot her, only for Arms Slave to yank it back, hooking her from behind to wrap up her other arm and her sword. At the same time Arms Slave fired off two more chains, aimed at her lower body and legs this time.

That was starting to get boring, why couldn't Arms Slave be a bit more proactive? He was the one who came and taunted Eclipse Princess when she had just got bored of fighting for nothing, then why was he being so slow to actually do something? Perhaps, was it fear that forced him to be 110% sure of every move, after all Eclipse Princess could have killed him a lot of time ago if she wanted to. Yet those chains were far too obnoxious and Eris was tired of it.

"Can you stop being so passive, please? If you want me to lead, all you need to do is ask." Eclipse Princess said to Arms Slave, breaking her silence just to get a faster conclusion to this fight. Knowing Cassandra she must be on route to the Black City right now and Eris wasn't very keen on making her wait. It's better that this fight ends now, before she loses herself to bloodlust again.

* * *

Nies Helum would arrive just as Eclipse Princess was entangled with Arms Slave's chains, asking her question with a nonchalance that impressed Eris. "You arrived earlier than I thought, Nies Helum. To answer your question, yes, I do have plans for the evening, but we can at least dine early because I don't think there'll be another pizza incident this time. However, I seem to be on a bind right now. If you do not want to wait, while I unravel this Gordian Knot, I can rendezvous at the place of your choice in a few minutes. Even if you stay, please don't interfere with this fight, otherwise you'll get hurt because of troubles that I have brought onto myself."

"I know I have caused nothing but trouble to you ever since we met. However, please, allow me to fight one more battle on my own. After this one I promise that things will change." Eclipse Princess said to Nies, with an apologetic voice, while rolling her right fist around Arms Slave's chain, standing her ground against his pull.

Itsuko M. Kanzaki

"Thank you." Itsuko replied to Hibiki, "I would like the company. Also, sorry again for causing trouble for you."

After about a few minutes of a tense bus travel, with Itsuko trying to find a subject to talk with Hibiki, but ultimately failing, the duo arrived at a Downtown apartment complex with four towers. The looks of the place passed an impression of high-class habitation and the cars coming and going from the underground parking lot cemented that, most of them being luxury vehicles that costed more than your average people would earn in a few years. The first couple floors, as well as the courtyard, of the building complex were actually taken by the Purple Crown Shopping Arcade. There was a separate lounge for residents on the third floor, with the actual entrance for the towers being there and a heavy security personnel guarded the place, on their uniforms one could clearly see a black fox insignia and the logo RPSC (Reinhardt Private Security Corps). Clearly, this was a place were some VIPs lived, to deserve such a tight security.

After arriving at the lounge, Itsuko turned to Hibiki and bowed, "Thank you, Toho-san. I'm grateful for what you did for me would you like to come and have a few snacks? I would like to... hmm, repay you somehow." The whole time, Itsuko exchanged nervous glances with a glasses-wearing woman dressed in a dark blue suit. The woman was wearing a Social Services badge and had a tablet with her where a photo of Itsuko was barely visible from this distance.

"Anyway, erm... if you have anything else to do, or don't want to come, I'll understand. In that case I want you to at least have my number so that we can speak again. Would that be ok, Hibiki-san?" Itsuko asked politely, though the woman tapping on her watch clearly caused Itsuko to become more nervous. Either way, it was Hibiki's choice now.

Absinthe Blue

Absinthe checked her HUD as soon as she logged up and found that she had gained a level, level four not being that big on anything, but Absinthe was divided between Staff Mastery and Attuned. In the end Staff Mastery won because it's more cost efficient, smaller cooldowns are good, but it consumes much more mana while a fixed bonus with always there to help.

Anyway, after checking her list of chores Absinthe noticed that somehow, Mercury Titania had slipped on more near the top of the list. Meet the new recruits. Usually this was the King's job, but since Maribel was off right now, it was on Absinthe's hands to see it done. Not wanting to deal with any setbacks, Absinthe immediately set about to fulfill this obligation.

"Well, who's it that want to join us? Please, come here! Meet your one and only, the azure star of temptation, Titania-sama's number one secretary, I, Absinthe Blue!" Absinthe proclaimed enthusiastically as she reached the gates.

Rocket Lancer enters the scene!

"Heads up, Boss!" A voice shouted from above.

There was a streak of yellow and Rocket Lancer appeared.

"I'm coming in!"

He zoomed in at full speed riding his lance. He'd seen very little of the (admittedly short) fight so far but it's not like it really mattered how much he'd seen. His boss was fighting someone, and helping out your boss usually gave you a pay rise. Not much to think about, no reason to worry. But his target wasn't going to be Eclipse Princess. She still had a hand free so if he went straight for her, he had no doubt she would dodge his flight and kill him. Chances were he wouldn't achieve anything by doing it so instead, he was aiming for both of them.

He flew between Arms Slave and Eclipse Princess and deactivated his rocket boosters as he was about to hit the chains. If it was only this much, it wouldn't do enough damage to either of them, but...

"Fatal Accelaration!" He shouted.

His rocket boosters reactivated explosively, boosting him forward so hard he almost fell off. He caught the chains with his lance. If Arms Slave became collateral, this would become a really good day for him.

Nies would wait, pondering Eclipse words. Things might indeed be very different, if the White King found out who she was in the game. Which probably wouldn't be that hard now she supposed. For once, it appeared, she would probably be bringing trouble to Eris. Hesitating, Nies said "okay..." she trailed off, deciding not to add to Eclipses problems right then, "I'll wait. I won't interfere" she said instead, moving to the side and away from the battle.

She had every confidence that Eclipse would win. So far, Nies hadn't seen her lose. It was hard to merely watch as Eris fought but she kept to her promise to stay out, sighing softly to herself, she held her staff and checked about her to make sure there was no one sneaking about.
