Huh, now White Feather has mentioned it in his CS…what even IS magic resistance? What does that imply? Does it mean that, even if you were a robot super soldier impervious to nuclear missiles, if you had no magic resistance, a lvl 1 mage could still put a big hole in you? Or what?

While I’m at it, I generally operated under the idea that all Chasers got powers from exposure to the Crimson Sky, but is that not actually the case?

For the powers thing, my guy was biologically changed, kind of like a mutant or cyborg. None of his powers are magical.

For Magic Resistance, I labored under the impression a magical attack was different to just being shot or stabbed. His armor resists bullets and blades, but a fireball or ice spike will do a bit more damage.

But a fireball, barring any sort of gimmicky magical effect, is basically the same as getting roasted by a flamethrower, whilst an ice spike is probably comparable to getting a knife thrown or stabbed.

If his armor makes him resistant to bullets and blades (assuming that it's some sort of adaptive armor, cause bullets and blades require different types of defensives, last time I remembered), I'd think that it'd be pretty useful against magical attacks that mimick physical things (e.g rock throw/fire ball/ice spike).

Of course, KoL confirmations would probably settle this.

True enough I guess. The majority of our PCs don't have powers that would suffer from the Manton Effect though.
