Heh, sorry for my inactivity. But yeah, I'll make a post today detailing the SR PC's jury-rigging their NC's so they can help the fight, a little.

Considering the inactivity of this RP, I'll be executing general order 3bA-081c in the RPGuild's GM handbook, chapter 71, page 8, lines 3-10:

"If the story has not been progressing much for an extended period of time, the GM is allowed to 'jumpstart' progress using one, and only one per incident, 'timewarp', alongside mildly taking control of all player's characters for the required purposes, as long as specific actions are mildly ambiguous to be edited later if requested by the players, and no 'out-of-character' actions are taken (E.G. a very evil character doing good for no personal gain)"

...making shit up is so fun.

Anyway, I'm so sorry about how this is mildly falling apart, but I'm just doing what I think is necessary. As I imply, if you have objections, I'm perfectly content with editing replacements into the post.

Well, this was a good run, def.

It's obvious, though, that everyone still present is obviously still interested in doing this. How about we let this rest for a few more days, then I can make a fresh new thread for everyone, and we can continue the story from a different point of view, perhaps? I'm currently thinking, if desired, people can still keep their characters, but we'll skip some time and do a bit of plot.

Basically, we'll just let this RP take a nap, I'll make a new thread, I'll do a "LAST TIME ON NCQ" as an OP for the new thread, we'll do a mediumish timeskip, and during that some stuff will happen as a backdrop. I'm currently thinking one of the corporations will contact SR after the attack, what's left of SR will migrate to a new location on the world stage, and actually have the blessing of a major company. I'll go into more details in the next OP, but that's basically what I'm thinking.

The pilot

Name: Jan Van Gent
Appearance: Jan stands at 1.65 meters tall. He has fair skin, dark-blonde hair styled shortly and combed to the side. He has little standards concerning the clothes he wears, usually wearing whatever he managed to get on the cheap from a clothes vendor. The only criterium to him is that something needs to be functional. It doesn't need to be pretty or graceful, it just needs to work.
Age: 27
Personality: A rash and hasty man by nature. Jan is a spirited and loud individual with a somewhat cruel streak to his actions. He doesn't particularly mind if other people are served by his actions, but is ultimately only in it for himself. He has a somewhat unnerving eagerness for the adrenaline of battle, but he places great value on loyalty, even if it is for the slightly pragmatic reason that a long-time partner is the best partner.

Code-Name:Goldenspur

Appearance: (What it looks like. Desc is required, even if it has a pic.)

Body-Plan: The design is based from a basic humanoid frame. The legs have folding joints that allow the mech to transform from a more aerially maneuverable upright stance to a surfaced, speed-focused tank-like mode.

Equipment: The Goldenspur has a full array of standard ECM measures, including radar jammers and heat-concealing paint. Armor is noticeably thicker at the front of the machine. In addition, the Goldenspur is equipped with chaff launchers and smoke-screens to assist in dissapearing in the thick of combat. With assistance from Volkov, the smoke and chaff are also capable of reducing the effectiveness of laser weapons. Of course, raw kinetics are still an issue.

Armaments: The Goldenspur's primary weapon is a large-scale heatray that requires it to be two-handed by its' manipulator arms. While it can vaporize medium NC's in short order, it requires it to be in close combat, and while firing, it's an energy hog, reducing the Goldenspur's ability to maneuver with its' thrusters. For lesser targets, it has two medium-scale gatling cannons in its' enlarged shoulder mounts, when not in use, they point upwards, resembling wings. The gatling guns can only swivel towards forward targets, but can disable tanks and most non-NC targets in a short period of time, and can sting an NC until it's down easily enough. Of course, due to their ROF, they are severely innacurate at higher ranges.
