Commander Miranda Keyes
"Unknown Ships, we represent the Fay'Ran Jik Democracies. We hail from the Milky Way Galaxy but have not crossed universes before. Do not shoot. I repeat, do not shoot. We are peaceful and mean no harm. We apologise if our form of communication disturbs you in any manner, we do not have the capabilities to respond with our communications array.
This is Captain Jane Lyra Abend speaking for the Fay'Ran Jik Democracies. We hope for peace and prosperity between our two peoples. We extend an offer of sending a diplomatic shuttle to ship to discuss the future, with your permission of course. But if you show any signs of aggression, we will not hesitate to blow your ships apart.
There was something to be said about the others, the Fay'Ran Jik Democracies as they called themselves, blind bravado in their last line. Miranda found that a bit endearing as that would be something she'd say personally but it appears she was beat to the punch. Curse those formal guidelines.... Regardless, Miranda still did not want to test that threat anymore than she wanted to harm an apparently peaceful, although maybe a bit aggressive, race.
"Stand down." Miranda finally broke the tense silence that followed the mental message. It was a damn shame that the Advent decided to break off for some petty squabble with rebels in their own universe. Their mental telepathic abilities could prove to be crucial if this uneasy alliance went south. Still, they had to make due with what they had and hopefully it wouldn't come to that. "But keep crews at their stations..." Miranda quickly added looking around the room before cracking a slight grin. "Just in case."
Since they obviously understood their message, Miranda had Cortana issue their response, using only whatever method they understood per Cortana's own estimation.
"Captain Jane Lyra Abend,
It is a pleasure to meet you and your peaceful intentions. I am Fleet Admiral Miranda Keyes speaking for the Birds of Prey Organization. We hail from all walks of life, many from all different universes. We gladly accept your offer of peace and welcome your diplomatic shuttle as the first step to that peace. We send our own to meet your ship halfway to ensure that both sides remain on neutral ground."
Miranda bit her tongue metaphorically as she chose to not to tag in a bit of banter in response to the threat of her own ships being blown apart, but having no idea if Captain Jane had a sense of humor, it was safer to omit that part.
A small shuttle was sent out from the Transcendence carrying Liara T'Soni, an Asari who has sort of become a diplomatic face for the Birds of Prey, and among two other crew, Nova Terra would go just to there in case things didn't go as planned.

Jessica Jones
Arguably the most boring part of entering a new universe was the sort of standoff that would happen as the higher ups would dance around finally putting boots on the ground. So if you didn't have the patience to sit through it, you could either complain or sleep. Jessica preferred the latter as there wasn't really anything to look at out at because it would be counter-intuitive to put vulnerable windows for a space-to-atmosphere dropship.
Of course sleep was only a good option if you weren't bothered by someone else. Shortly after Jessica had managed to fall asleep did she get jabbed in the side by another woman. Jessica sighed out of annoyance and looked over to the woman who was seated next to her. Sargent Biloxa was really an unremarkable woman outside of the alien name and snake-like appearance. That sort of thing would surprise you at first but after awhile you just get use to different species but Jessica was mostly thinking about Biloxa's potential. A lot of women in the Birds of Prey were standard soldiers, some had powers, and fewer still could be noted as 'special'. Jessica was someone who could be counted as 'special', and noteworthy enough to have her name and information written down somewhere. Having superhuman abilities justified that, but everyone else on board this dropship were just kind of plain and they knew that.
"What?" Jessica asked sounding annoyed but tried her best to be polite, but it clearly hadn't worked as the snakelike face appeared to snarl. "Something hit ussss.." The snakewoman hissed in Jessica's ear. Jessica pulled her head away, fearful that the other was going to slither her tongue into Jessica's ear.
At first Jessica just wanted to shrug it off but she realized the other woman present were looking at her as if expecting her to go out and investigate the noise. Jessica looked around the cabin of the strapped in woman. "What?" She flung her hands out, "You want me to jump out of this ship and investigate a noise? It was nothin-.." Jessica was interrupted in the middle of her scolding as an alarm flared up and as the rear ramp began to open sucking air out of the cabin. Thankfully everyone was strapped in so they wouldn't be going anywhere but suddenly a large man fell from above, onto the ramp, and climbed in as the ramp screeched to a close behind the man.
"What the fuck?" Jessica blurted out loud as some strange man lay inside the relatively small squad cabin. She took a glance around the room, everyone looked about as apprehensive as her when it came to judging this individual. But what Jessica was concerned about was the fact that it was almost too convenient that the ramp opened and closed for this guy. She shot a glance up towards the pilots and found both were shaking off a sort of disorientation. That was all the proof Jessica needed to make a move.
Jessica unstrapped herself and sprang to her feet. "Nobody move dammit! I got this!" She ordered as she moved quickly over to the man and picked him up by his collar and slammed him up against the interior of the ship. "Who the fuck are you and why the hell did you get on this ship?" Jessica demanded and sounded quite pissed off. If there was one thing she hated, it would be mind control. For years she watched an individual within her own universe control the minds of others and thoroughly ruin their lives. Nothing good ever came of it so when Jessica realized that this guy could do the same thing, it just sort of set something off in her. She hated this guy and didn't even know it.
Jessica wasn't sure what this guy could do outside of mind control and apparently reach a high flying dropship without any aid, but it appeared like Jessica could handle him. He wasn't armed and she was very experienced with mind control at this point, so much so that she had become immune to its powers.
