Forming Fulgurite takes time (at least a minute) and a lot of effort. It's also an uncontrollable AOE weapon. Using it on Apocalypse would quite definitely have killed Apocalypse, but it would also have wiped out all of the Emperor's friend, and caused himself to take the damage as well. And it would have permanently cost him part of his soul. So this solution is far more logical.

And again, the Fulgurite was never meant to be used. It was intended to be a deadman's, which was why I specified that it would erase souls, and that Ruiko should inform the people at Conablum Labs of what it did. Had I been active at the time of the conflict I would most likely have interjected and attempted to avoid this outcome, as I had no intention of causing such a mess.

Now, while I would personally disagree that it's merely soular destruction, I have no problem with deciding the Deadland thing trumps it, as it would make this entire scenario far less of a pain to deal with.

Alright. I'll take that. But if you want an explanation, how about simply toning it down. Rather then ripping the rules of a universe to shreds, just make it a bomb. There's no reason to need to save anyone if it doesn't transcend reality to erase people from existence. It's a senseless overkill that you basically admit to being pointless, because you didn't intend for it to kill anyone anyways.

Well the rivard universe has captain robo pirate beard. Which is essentially a god. And I would explain why he would be gone, but I mentioned Captain robo pirate beard in quite a few CS'. And the explanation is lengthy.

I will say that the rivard verse is not the 40k verse. It isn't bound by its rules, in fact it has nothing to do with them. Their is not one ounce of Warhammer in the inspiration for my universe. If you want to force 40ks rules on arcadia, I cannot stop you. That's up to lmpkio. But even then it's basically a blank universe. But the rivard verse runs on its own rules. And one of those is that androids don't have souls, barring very rare, very hard to find circumstances.

I just saw your other post.

No, grimlock came back with us. I even made mention in my first Cyano post that grimlock was being held in his own special cage.

If you are going to say that the deadland trumps the soul destruction, I'll take that as well. So we agree on that.

And no, the security would still be up. And fairly hard to circumvent, as I already mentioned that everything is held on a closed circuit network, and that their are multiple networks so as to prevent someone from doing just that.

I'd point out that Ruiko only used the Fulgurite because it obviously didn't even make the people attacking them hesitate. Nobody on the other side wondered what it was or what it might do, and instead just went ahead and attacked anyway. Ruiko gave fair warning that she would use it, nobody IC stopped to wonder what it might do, and they only have themselves to blame for the consequences.

Let's at least limit the powers provided by the 40k universe shall we? Obey what the other universes rule by too. Not chomping down on anyone, I'm just saying. @thewizardguy@Absolis

She also didn't give much of an explanation though. So for what they would have known it was just another bomb.

Plus. You showed up at like, the worst time. You got three out of four of the sociopaths.

Wait wouldn't that mean Ruiko and Banha died too? Bizarre.

Tbh it probably wasn't a good idea to bring it at all when you know the Outliners aren't particularly hostile to you and you also know that death doesn't have the same value in that universe. It would have been more useful to demonstrate power to the Conquerors, but Lmpkio would have been against it probably.

Aye, it's mostly what Absolis said, it isn't 40K, as such it would likely not work the same way even if it's insane reality warping stuff.

Also the Ethereal was going to pop up as soon as Banha and Ruiko (mentioned in in its latest post and Sgt took note of it) reacted to all of this. Meaning the Conablum labs pillage would have been met with some rather belligerent psionic countermeasures.

Also, @thewizardguy I'll let you decide what the lizards will do now. Since the security was still up, and rules were decided to be kept to their respective universes. Meaning androids are still alive

Generally 'stop or I'll use this' indicates that its something more powerful than the average grenade, especially in the situation that they were in. You attacked people who came in peace, showed no signs of backing down even against the threat of unknown force, and quite frankly there wasn't the time to make a large explanation, beyond the fact that Ruiko didn't get much of an explanation beyond 'It doesn't matter if it hits, just use it if you have no other choice.'

It was right after the time skip. How is the fact that it was 'the worst time' my fault?

Also, I should note that no defense is impenetrable. It's just a matter of whether Nova is willing to pay the cost to get inside. And given the track record of WH40K, I would make that bet.

The worst time was a half joke. Not your fault. Just, the buildings full of sociopaths who had literally no reason to believe they could die permanently.

And I didn't say impenetrable. I mentioned a hard resistance in my post. Possibly slaughter, because I don't remember the lizards being all that strong.

Like, okay. @Flamelord You did nothing wrong.

There was nothing in both an OOC and IC standpoint that would have suggested such a ridiculous power to exist or even be used. And even if it did, since everyone knew the rules of this universe, they expected to probably die and experience dead world. OOCly I wanted to introduce this aspect of the universe and this bomb thing offered this chance. However it seems to be way more exaggerated than I came to expect.

What Absolis said. It was more of wrong place, wrong time, but that's any given time with the Outliners. That should be a motto.

Pretty sure ADVENT forces and the Ethereal can stop them lizards.

Okay, so basically, ima have the Fulgurite kill things and they'll all go to Deadland. I'd argue that as any intelligent mind has a presence in the Warp, Warp powers would affect an android, even if they don't have a soul by the Rivardverse definition. But eh, it'll make for a more interesting scene if the Ethereal basically walks into a battleground. I'm honestly kinda looking forward to him appearing in the main room, only to find out everyone is dead and chibi lizards are fighting the defence system. Confused ethereal is funny.

Ima also stop using Fulgurite entirely, as it was a fairly vague plot device even in the original lore (it was going to murder Vulcan, but then it made him sane, but then it could kill the Emperor, and then it couldn't, and nobody really knows). The Emperor is OP as shit without him having access to that shit. And as stated, it was honestly fairly unnecessary, I mainly put it in there because I was reading the Vulcan story and thought a physical sliver of the Emperor's being was an awesome idea. So meh.

Grimlock's dead, turns out. Seems a bit odd, considering we've established androids don't have a soul in Rivardverse, but we'll just say the Spark counts as a soul for the purpose of that splosion, and have it make kinda-sense.

Oh and there was plenty to suggest this power was ridiculous. I specifically stated it held the power to end entire species, and that it was perhaps the Emperor's most powerful ability of all. I also stated that it would erase the souls of anyone who dared threaten her. I did my best to establish it as ridiculously powerful, not my fault if it didn't come across that way.

ima edit my original splosion post, and then make a post for the lizards.
