The general sighed as he placed a pin on the map that laid on the table before him the map was filled with pins as the ones with red spheres on them represented missing civilians and Holy Knights and the pins with black spheres where sightings of demons. He looked up at the soldiers around the table. He only trusted a select few with the information he had acquired and so far that included Holy Knights that seemed to bare the Seven Deadly Sins symbols. It also included a few Holy Knights he knew personally. There was Sotoe who looked like he only owned the black cloak he ware everywhere since he had no boots on his bare feet. Then there where the Twins: Shadow and Silver. Silver was the normal of the two; wearing a long sleeved shirt under a T-Shirt and grey sweat pants. It was his brother Shadow that the General couldn’t understand. Shadow always was bound in a strait jacket with chains wrapped around it. His mouth as covered in a gas mask that covered the bottom half of his face, his eyes where blindfolded, and his ears where covered. Shadow never spoke and Silver always spoke for his twin. Then there was Alexander, the son of his longtime friend who had passed not too long ago from old age.
“Alright everyone, this s what we know: last night there was a demon attack and many of the Holy knights at this small village,” the general said as he pointed to the newly placed pin on the map and continued, “tried to protect, many died while others went missing. With the missing Holy Knights came five more missing civilians.”
“Shit, that’s 40 people just this month and 300 just this year,” Alex said before he added, “Shit we’re not even half way through the year.” Shadow leaned towards his brother who nodded.
“Agreed Shadow, with how many people taken and if we can’t stop this. The kingdom will lose over half the population before the year comes to an end,” Silver said.
“Yet we don’t know why the demons are attacking or why they’re taking people after they attack,” Sotoe chimed in.
“How do we know the demons are taking the people,” Alex asked.
“They disappear when the demons attack. This can’t be coincidence that this happens after the attack,” Sotoe argued before he added, “We can’t overlook the fact that these demons aren’t just killing people when they attack. They’re eating them.”
“All true, but I do have some information that might help us,” the general said before he pointed towards the top left corner of the map and added, “Someone saw a flying creature head in that direction.”
“But there’s nothing out there,” Alex said.
“Not anymore because a small village just sent word of black smoke coming from that direction,” the general said before he turned to the Seven Deadly Sins and asked, “What are your imputes on this matter?”
