I kinda did want to see how @EmptyArmor handled Bernard's escape from the self-destruct, but that depends on his availability. Sarah ending up in the med bay would make for an ideal time-jump point. I'd say go through with it, and Empty can add Bern's escape later, and separate past and present in his post.

Although as cinematicly-pleasing as seeing a brutish lunk get the drop on our hapless sniper (and an ensuing scuffle), more likely they would have just pragmatically shot at her.

1. Yes. Well, actually it's an exclusion-zone. People fleeing towards the docks be getting shot at (warning shots first) "Mali checkpoint style".

2. Not really, since a siege is pretty much designed to prevent escape (or relocating their objective). Once the threat is gone there isn't much left to actually escape when medical is already en-route.
-Shooting at them should give them the hint to retreat the other way.
