Kyle Lancaster

Kyle breathed in with relief as the martian backed off. Not far, but hey, you take what you get. Unfortunately for poor Kyle that provided an opportunity for the girl he had hurt to grab him, haul him to his feet and start yelling at him. Blondie was upset. Kyle got that. He knew it was allowed for people to get upset at him. It was always his fault.

"I've been hit with warheads that hurt less than what you did to me. Explain yourself."
Hillan

"HEY! You put him down now. You've all been in enough trouble for one morning and the bell has already rung, now get your a- Butts! Get your butts to class before we're forced to administer punishments. S'tann, Kieran, Rita, Kyle and Jason, get a move on it!"
Lord Wraith

Kyle's mouth popped open in the wake of Blondie's demands. While he had trouble answering the Martian, he didn't have trouble with this one. Of course his words cut short as Todd shouted again. Kyle flinched at the tone. His gym teacher and Blondie were now having a stare down. Kyle forced himself to keep breathing evenly as he stood there, trying not to touch anyone at all, leaving his hands handing limply at his sides. He was no longer trying to go unnoticed like he had when Satan was looming over him. Which he had thankfully left.

"I'm glad that you're both okay. This could have ended up a lot worse."
King Kindred

He deserved Blondie's ire. He deserved this. And she still deserved an explanation. Yet when the Kryptonian bowed out, Kyle couldn't help but feel worse. Sure the guy's words made sense. Blondie could have died. But worse? The one guy on campus who seemed to think Kyle wasn't a horrible, terrible person was just walking away. Well, he probably saw Kyle now. It must have been a reflex to do good. But now he knew Kyle wasn't good and didn't need saving. He even smiled as he left.

And so Kyle was left being manhandled by Blondie. With only the two teachers as witnesses. Todd, who couldn't give a shit. And J'onzz, who Kyle could never figure out. It seemed strange to him that they were so blase about the situation. They cared more about class than Blondie's seizure. Which was odd. They also cared more about class than Kyle, which was not odd.

Jack looked over as the whole world went just about crazy in every sense of the word. It was always fun to have the whole world screaming and yelling around him. So it must be Tuesday again. So that meant that it was his job to take to the shadows and hide. It seemed that someone had angered just about everyone and everything. First there was S'tann screaming about how he hated everyone. That was typical though. A day without being nearly murdered by him was not a real day. Jack almost felt sad if S'tann was not calling him a thousand different words for thief. It was his way of showing his love. Jack usually just ignored the threats and went on with his day. It was a fun game that they loved to play. Jack knew that he would not kill him.

Then along came the pink haired chick. This girl clearly was different. There was something different about her and the fact that people were screaming about something meaningless. Richard and Rick, two names that would never get hard to remember, were currently screaming about something. Jack thought that they were yelling about the girl? Jack turned to look at Fen before the bell started to ring. Jack glared at the offending noise before turning his glare back at the janitor and his snippy comment. Jack really did not need this right now.

Then he heard the offer. Jack blushed just a bit but eventually caught himself. He thought for a second. He had some acrobatics class or something right now. He could do the class in his sleep if he had to. So he most definitely was free. He pretended to think about the question before he nodded. "Alright, Wolfie. Let's get that coffee. I am paying. It is the gentleman thing to do." He said as he started to walk out of building. ""Well come on then. I need my coffee." He said clearly enjoying this. He started to walk towards the coffee shop. He felt like something sweet right now.

Jason

Jason was on the verge of getting into a full blown fight with the martian since he didn't seem to be listening to any sort of non violent solution. But before Jason could make a move against S'tann Jason Todd shouted at them and ordered them to get to class. Not only did he arrive, but also professor J'onn appeared and seemed to calm the angry young martian down and let Kyle go. When S'tann took off into the air Jason flipped him off while the Martian's back was facing him.

"One of these days I'm going put a crate of king grabs in his bed while he's sleeping" Jason said out loud, that Martian really knew how piss so many people off. Choosing not to disobey Mr Todd's words, Jason went back to the cafeteria to pick up his school supplies from where he left them and was glad to see his can of root beer still there and unopened. Jason quickly picked up his things and the can and headed to his next class. He opened the can and quickly drank it. When things got heated, a root beer was a good drink to cool him down, he would have much rather liked to have been drinking root beer and relaxing on a warm beach, but that wouldn't be happening here since it was cold.

His next class would be English, not something he was very much into, but he would have to take it. Well this certainly had turned out to be quite the dramatic day and the day wasn't even close to being done. Who knew what crazy things would happen next.

Mars

Mars felt the weights push down upon his arms and he had to strain his muscles to keep the extremely heavy weight up. His training buddy was up next to him taunting him as a way to get him to push hard to prove him wrong.

"Ya! come on, come on! Push those muscles! Come on bitch! COME ON BITCH!" the big muscular black teenager who was named Jake shouted as he held a stop watch that was had the clock counting down.

"Ten more seconds! Don't be a pussy! You can do it! I'll break your face open if you drop those weights too early! I'll make you scream like a little girl!" he shouted and after what seemed like a minute the clock's alarm went off. Mars put down the weights and relaxed his muscles.

"Woo! Yeah baby! Three fucking minutes!" Mars cheered and felt like a boss.

"Damn strait bro! You keep this up then you'll be stronger than that pussy in the red cape" Jake said to him, he was referring to Superman. Mars didn't dislike the Man of Steel, but Jake was one of the metahumans who thought that more rough justice was the solution to everything.

"Yeah, that will be a great day" he replied as he wiped his sweaty face with a towel and then moved on to the punching bag. The punching bag was his way of keeping up his skill in boxing and punching. Boxing would be his main method of fighting crime as well as tackling like a pro football player.

"Hay how about a sparing match?" Jake asked.

"Sure" Mars answered and the two of them went over to a sparring ring after they put on boxing gloves. Both of them were experienced in a ring and were sure that they would give one another a great challenge.

"Don't cry when I knock your ass on the ground" Jake said as he began to circle him using quick footwork. Mars just chuckled and kept his eyes focused on his opponent.

"Just try to not get your butt kicked this time" Mars taunted and Jake took a swing at him. Mars rose his right arm to block the oncoming and retaliated with a powerful left jab to the teenager's face. Mars felt so great when he was either boxing or playing football, they were the two things that he was born for. When he would eventually fight villains, he would imagine them to be his opponents in a boxing match or an opposing football team and he would give them everything had if the challenge was tough enough. This sparring would do wonders for their physical development.

Raphael Luigi Linden

Decorated with a blue cap that resembled Toucan Sam's beak, the Blue Bullet pulled himself over a parapet before hearing a tell-tale whistle and the subtle crunch of lead planting itself in a brick he'd been touching the previous instant. Having been shot before, the blue blaster found sudden motivation to jolt to cover behind the brick barrier.

"A little bit faster, Blue," the Green Arrow chimed from over the radio.

The emerald archer and his blue affliate were taking care of a dynamic trio of bank thieves. One was an expert marksman, an expert brawler, and the last was the getaway man, an escape artist. Fortunately, the original arrow had stayed back to prevent Raphael from being shot or bludgeoned into a crimson stain. So it was up to the teal titan to stop the running man.

The problem? He simply wasn't Speedy enough.

Roughly fourty yards from his target, Raph snatched out his left gun before letting out half a dozen shots, each closer to the target than the last. Fortunately, he managed to impact on the getaway man's shoulder, blowing him down like a cardboard cutout. If it weren't for the option of rubber bullets, the day would've been a lot less convenient.

Raphael Linden was still running. He wasn't in a pursuit. He wasn't facing death. He wasn't even exercising. He was late for class. Technically he was only late for being early, but his morning routine was pretty dependant on being early. Even more so than anything he could learn to be the greatest superhero, he needed to master punctuality if he were to be the greatest man.

His plans were solid. Eat breakfast, shower, etcetera. It was the execution that proved tricky. It seemed that no motivational poster he hung on his wall could change his characteristics for him.

"This is for the birds." Black Canary once told him that he seemed to have more in common with molasses than a Robin. Frankly, he couldn't agree more some days, like today. But he was sick of being compared to the legendary powerless sidekicks of old who had a knack for everything. It was like comparing apples to oranges.

He got good grades, was physically superior to most, and was told that he had the potential for greatness by the Green Arrow. The problem was.. he just didn't see it.

@Avanhelsing
"Alright, Wolfie. Let's get that coffee. I am paying. It is the gentleman thing to do." Jack said as he started to walk out as well, confirming that he accepted the older boy's offer for coffee. Fenris smiled at the offer as he leaded the way. 'Well at least I get to save some money' Fen thought but contemplated on letting Jack buy as Fen himself had more than enough to keep him going for the rest of the week. Looking behind him, Jack looked like he was enjoying this as he started to walk towards the coffee house. The trip there wasn't too exciting besides the fact that they had to duck and weave some of the staff who were patrolling the campus but besides that the trip was relatively... mellow. Hopefully inside the coffee shop would be more interesting?

And Fen was not disappointed as entering the coffee shop, the most obvious and prominent scent was the rich, deep and strong smell of dark coffee in its purest form which was plain black. Black Coffee was bitter, but he didnt mind drinking it if it was the only thing around, but his sweet tooth liked sipping on something with a couple cups of sugar in it. Smiling at the fact that there was also a section with freshly baked bread, fluffy and absolutely delicious, he wouldn't mind getting one or two croissants. But then something else, caught not his eyes but nose as this aroma floated through the air that tingled your nose from the richness.

"Whoa, Jack come look at this!" Fen said with his face close up to the glass as cinnamon rolls that were pulled up to the display case, piping hot with a thin sweet layer of delicious cinnamony goodness."Look at all of these kinds of breads. I think those just came out of the oven just right now!" Fenris said in disbelief at how delicious they not only looked but smelled as well, intoxicatingly delicious. The sweet and gently spicy tingly smell floated in the air making the mouths of anyone water in anticipation. Even if Jack didn't like the rolls, there was... scones... a treat of British origin, the sweet filling inside he middle were indescribably rich from what Fen had tried before. Or perhaps the various kinds of banana bread, each with a different flavor and style that differed from one another so much that you would have to try each of them to see which one you liked the most. In the end, the variety of bread inside the coffee shop was a various as the many kinds of coffee that they served as well, each kind of bread going best accompanying with a certain coffee or drink.

Sighing at the fact that he wanted it all, he looked at Jack "Have you decided what to get yet? I can't even decided on what to get here, and thats not even talking about the coffee yet!" He said as he could not make up his mind but he didn't know Jack's taste in food was like before so that would be interesting to discover. So he silently waited for Jack to order first as Fen himself went the endless list of what he wanted to order as there was just too many great things here to simply choose two from. So in the mean time Fenris took his time reading the unique types of bread from walnut, to pecan and all the way to Mediterranean flat breads and Asian sweet buns.

Raphael Crosshairs Linden

Star City; The Corrigan School for Advanced Learning and Development
Tuesday, October 28 2015

At breakneck speed, Raphael charged through the courtyard of the Academic Quadrangle, stomping on the freshly mowed grass and feeling the moisture creep into his socks. He was sure they'd have a green stain whenever he stopped.

In his left hand was a breakfast burrito, one of many that he'd saved in case he'd need to make a sudden escape. He kept them in a minifridge by his bed. Storing any food in the shared kitchen of the dormitories was a mistake. Evidently not even having the greatest detectives and champions of justice known to the world within a hundred yards at any given time was enough to deter a hungry teenager. In his right hand was his cell phone.

The iPhone 12S he was holding was actually running an application called "TeachSeek". Despite sounding like a study aid, it was based on an application called "CopSpot" from the previous decade. How it worked was there was a map of a city, or in this case The Corrigan, and people would ping their location every time they saw a cop. Rather than a cop, it was a signal to help students evade the staff and any snitches who couldn't mind their own business. All of the good troublemakers had been using it for years and students gifted with software, particularly prestigious math students, had been coaxed into helping it learn the patterns of the staff.

For all they tried, the staff couldn't change their routine enough to invalidate it completely and most would not cross the line of hacking the program. Most of those who would cross the line were either apathetic to it or incapable. It was by no means perfect, though. Shapeshifters were mistakable and sometimes people simply didn't make reports.

Today it seemed that the halls of the Lab and Technology Wing were clear as crystal. So he was free to charge down the hallway at his leisure, a little too quickly for any teachers inside the classes to spot him once he passed by and shot up the staircase.

His instructor, Miss Harper Rowe was fairly popular among the teenage boys of the campus. Unlike most of the Batfamily, she actually seemed gothic out of costume. Her comparatively young age made her an object of interest, moreso than Donna Troy or Renee Montoya. But the reason she was more talked about than, say, Stephanie Brown for example, was her choices in makeup. Somedays she looked as ugly as a dog, but others her pale complexion offered a flattering contrast against her hair and leather.

He was three minutes late and entered the room. All eyes were trained on him like rifles ready to fire.

"Fancy meeting you here, Mr. Linden. Care to join us?"

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" He halfheartedly answered before turning his eyes to the floor and strolling to his seat.

"What kept you? Forget to wake up again?" the girl to his right teased.

"Nah, was just on the phone with your mom too long." The girl's face morphed to instant disgust and Ms. Rowe snorted from her desk before trying to hide the laugh.

"Beatrice, be a good trice now and listen up when I'm teaching. Unlike the arts, what I'm teaching is probably going to save someones life."

Raph laughed victoriously. It was no real secret who the teacher's favorite student was.

Beatrice slid Raph a note that read "When you're done banging the teacher put in a good word for the rest of us." Raph gawked at the print before forcing a smile.

As the bell rung, Stephanie Brown decided it would be best to move ahead with today's class. After studying months of Shakespeare and learning the techniques and traditions of Elizabethan theater it was time to announce the school's production for this year. While Stephanie was aware that the rumors circulating campus was that the class would be putting together a modernist take on Macbeth, she had something quite different in store for her students.

"As many of you know, the next step in this class is to audition for the upcoming production. While I have heard the whispers through the grapevine that many of you believe this year's play will be a take on Macbeth, I'm here to announce that you've been sadly mistaken." From her desk, Miss Brown picked up her tablet, pressing her thumb against the scanner as the screen illuminated and unlocked. Turning the device around, a cover that could have passed for parody artwork stared back at the class.

"This year, we'll be doing a production of Ian Doescher's 'William Shakespeare's Star Wars Verily, A New Hope'." Miss Brown said as several gasps of shock and excitement escaped the class in front of her. Mari felt a slight smirk cross her lips as she cocked her head to get a look at Freddie. There was no doubt in her mind that Freddie's inner Brit was raging and ready to burst forth and bring the fury of a thousand burning teas on Miss Brown.

"At least it's still 'Shakespeare." Mari muttered out of the corner of her mouth. Her body quivering slightly with silent mirth as the words left her.

Making eye contact with Tanya, Mari tilted her head towards the tablet and mouthed the word 'Who' towards her. In all honesty Mari had no interest in auditioning for a role. She'd prefer to be backstage if at all possible but as part of the class she at least have to audition for a main role whether she got it or not. The obvious choice was naturally Princess Leia, there was after all a limit on female characters present in the original Star Wars, or at all now that Mari thought about it. To be honest, her excitement towards the project was almost genuine. As much as Mari did like to distance herself from her parents, at part of her was soft for the nostalgia of her father making her watch every one of the films even though her mother couldn't stand the inaccuracies about space travel and general life in space.

"I've sent a copy of the play to each one of you. I suggest you take this class time to break into groups and begin reading together, try switching roles every few scenes to allow yourself the chance to try each of the cast out." Miss Brown's voice broke into Mari's thoughts as she turned her attention back to the front of the class. "Auditions will begin a week from today, I have attached the specific scenes I want read for each character so please give them a look over as well." Pausing she looked at the class again. "But most importantly, have fun with it!" Returning behind her desk, Stephanie sat down before waving her hands towards the class. "Well go on, the time is yours now. That's all I have for you today."

Turning to Freddie and Tanya, Mari motioned for the three of them to pull a couple desks together as she looked around the class to see if there was anyone else. Eyeing up Casey, Mari waved towards him before calling out to him.

"Yo Greenie, you want to read with us?"

RICK ALLEN Star City; Corrigan School for
Advanced Learning and Development

"That'd be enough of that."

The sound of Professor Garrick's voice immediately snapped Rick out of whatever it was came over him. The sparks in his eyes died down, but he still kept Richard in a firm grasp.

"I-I'm sorry, sir. I don't know what came over me."

The professor proceeded to smile.

"Would you believe that I used to be much faster. Mr. Allen, if you could put the boy down. I believe the three of you are late to class."

With this, Rick slowly set Richard back down onto the ground, however still pissed at him.

"I hope I can safely assume that everything here will be resolved and let go. It would be a shame for potential team mates to squabble over a difference of opinion. Batman and Superman haven't seen eye to eye in their entire careers, but are known for having one of the strongest friendships in the League."

Rick nodded, though immediately contradicted this as he punched Richard in the nose, before speeding off. He regretted this, however, as Professor Garrick would probably be on his case later. Despite this, he pushed forward, weaving in and out of people and structures, before bursting into class, only to find he was too late - class was done. He went red with embarassment as he stood there, being stared at by everyone, but worst of all - being stared at by Miss Brown.

"Aw, crap..." He groaned.

Freddie Blackwell

Freddie was surprised to see his roommate appear in the Theatre Studies class; he hadn't been present the previous lessons, and frankly Freddie didn't have him down as the dramatic type. Then Kieran presented him with his satchel, before quickly escaping the room, barely giving the grateful Freddie chance to call out a 'thank you' after him. The class was beginning, however, so Freddie assumed that Kieran must be especially late, having brought him his forgotten bag before heading off to his own class. He made a mental note to thank him properly later... For as Miss Brown began to speak, it soon emerged that he had more pressing matters to attend to.

"This year, we'll be doing a production of Ian Doescher's 'William Shakespeare's Star Wars Verily, A New Hope'."

The teacher's words hit Freddie like a freight train, and for a moment all seemed still for him; knocked senseless by what Miss Brown had announced so casually. For a split second, he was convinced the wretched woman had smirked at him, slightly enough to avoid the perception of those whom had not been paying the same attention he currently fixed upon her. He scowled furiously, but remained silent. A low rumble of thunder swiftly spoke for him.

"At least it's still Shakespeare," Mari said. Freddie wasn't sure if that was supposed to be some kind of supportive note intended to comfort him, but he simply looked at her in horror; his mouth dropped and eyes wide in utter disbelief that the girl could even consider this to be 'still Shakespeare'. It was an atrocity; a shame upon everything the Bard had ever scrawled. Still shocked, Freddie turned back to face Miss Brown as another growl boomed from the skies; closer, this time.

Freddie seethed silently. Why was this woman acting as though Macbeth was never on the cards? She had been less than subtle in her implicit references that the Scot's Play would be their production for this semester; of course, she'd never obviously stated it... But she'd definitely allowed Freddie to continue with his understanding, despite it being quite obvious that he was going for the lead. He'd been rehearsing tirelessly; he had nailed two or three scenes in particular that he was still debating between for the auditions, and now... This...

Freddie's phone blooped loudly in his bag, but he didn't check it. Miss Brown was already debriefing them on how she'd sent a copy of the damned disgrace they were expected to engage with. How thoughtful of her... he hissed to himself, still not uttering a word allowed. The clouds outside were beginning to truly blacken by this stage, and the thunder sounded as though it was pretty much directly overhead. A firm rain reasserted itself upon the windows, as Freddie continued to fix his glare upon the poor excuse for a teacher; hoping that, perhaps he would outdo himself, and some godly burst of lighting would strike her down on the spot.

Alas, she fell not, and Mari began to recruit a group under her instruction. Freddie was totally disengaged with the action around him as the class began to shuffle, his eyes still burning with fury upon Miss Brown.

"Is something wrong, Mr. Blackwell?" she asked, in a way that struck the Brit as jeeringly polite. It was the final straw; his eyes narrowed and a flash of lightning briefly illuminated the room. He rose to his feet.

"Do you take me for some kind of fool, Miss Brown?" he asked, his accent thick amidst his rage. "Is the theatre some kind of joke to you? What right do you have to stand before us, mocking the heritage of the very language you dare to speak?" he spat venomously. He was unintentionally melodramatic, as was often the case when he felt the things he loved were being threatened. Of course, it might seem to the others that Freddie was unnecessarily angry... But the stage meant something to him, especially Shakespeare, and he would defend it with his last breath.

"That's quite enough, thank you, Freddie. Take a seat." She said firmly, before adding: "Now."

Freddie's only response was a gaze of defiance, emboldened as he folded his arms and raised an eyebrow. It was likely a shock to the other students: of course, Freddie had had his moments of rebellion here and there, but nothing quite on this scale. He'd been making a conscious effort to avoid such an episode before this seemingly out-of-character outburst.

"Mr. Blackwell," she replied, more angrily this time though doing a good job of masking it. "Whether you approve of me or my selection for this year's production, is of no interest to me." she said, staring him down. "I am your teacher. We will be performing Doescher's Shakespearean take on Star Wars." she said, matter-of-factly. "All of us."

That did it. Someone burst into the room, late, but Freddie paid them no attention as a thick fog swept in through the now-open door; hanging heavily in the air and filling the room with a sharp chill. It created a moody and theatrical atmosphere; one fitting of the stage... And that was precisely what Freddie desired in order to make his point. The production had to be Macbeth; or he wouldn't be part of it at all. Better yet... There wouldn't be one at all.

"Come, seeling night," he said, adopting a convincing Scottish accent and channelling a spirit that was not his own. "Scarf up the tender eye of pitiful day, and with thy bloody and invisible hand cancel and tear to pieces that great bond which keeps me pale." He recited the words clearly and with conviction; people could say whatever they pleased about Freddie, but it was decidedly difficult to criticise his acting abilities. Freddie stood there, of course... But the words he spoke came from somewhere else. He was but a puppet in the moment.

Stephanie raised an eyebrow, but did not falter. "Very good, Freddie. Now take a seat."

Freddie moved away from the table, the fog swirling around his feet in his wake as his eyes locked upon her own. She knew the words were meant for her. "Light thickens, and the crow makes wing to th' rooky wood. Good things of day begin to droop and drowse; while night’s black agents to their preys do rouse." Each word was delivered with perfect temperament, Freddie's own rage converted into the wistful sense of impending danger that the script required. Miss Brown was growing increasingly annoyed.

"Freddie, I will not warn you again. Take a seat immediately or you won't take part in the production at all." she warned him, but Freddie was too far gone to be swayed. With the stubbornness inherited from his father, and his before him, he walked past the late-comer and stood in the doorframe, turning back to face Miss Brown with an expression of sly victory behind his eyes.

"Thou marvel’st at my words: but hold thee still." he said, pointing at the teacher dramatically. "Things bad begun make strong themselves by ill." He said, holding both his eyecontact and his outstretched finger for a moment longer, before the character seemed to crack and he focussed his eyes briefly upon Mari, half-expectantly. "So, prithee, go with me." he said, before storming down the corridor. Whether his friend chose to heed his call was beyond his control.

As he headed out into the storm and back towards his dorm, quickly becoming very wet, only one thing was clear to him in that moment: it seemed he would have Tuesday mornings free for the foreseeable future.

This had to be his most exciting escape from the school. Usually he would be running out as the guards gave chase. The day usually ended with him sneaking back into the school loaded with swag that he had just stolen. It usually involved him getting chased back into the school or something of that nature. This was the first time that he had been able to just saunter out of school with a decent looking guy. So things were coming up Jack right now. Now he just had to not mess this up. That was much harder than it seemed. For all of his swagger and acting like a player, Jack was not all that great at the dating thing. Most of his dates seemed just to be a few hours in the dark. There usually was not a lot of deep conversations with that. Jack kept trying for a more normal dating life but he still was a Kyle. He had never really learned about normal dating from his mother. She had the one night stand down to an art form. Jack could not really remember any time that one of her relationships lasted more than a month. So that meant that Jack did not really have a chance for all of this dating thing.

Course he knew that he only had one chance with Fen. So that meant that he needed to be on his best behavior. That meant no hitting on the baristas or the patrons of the coffee shop. There had to be a reward for doing this. Jack could guess what he wanted to be the reward.

Jack smirked a bit at how happy Fenris seemed to be. Jack did not really have much of a sweet tooth since it did not fit with his life style. He liked cake but not to the point where it controlled his life. Fen really seemed to love sweets and there was something rather sweet about that. It was cute in a way. Jack looked over at the menu as he read it quickly. Jack just wanted this date to go without a hitch. So he figured he would go a long with this. Jack looked over at Fen and smiled at him.

"Well I am buying so get whatever you want!" Jack said as he ignored the decent looking barista. He could control himself sometimes and now was one of the more important times. Jack walked up and ordered some tea and a scone. He figured that it was a bit more classy than what he usually got. He knew that he had to workout later today. He needed it badly. So that meant eating light for now. Jack waited for Fen to order before he paid for his as well. Jack kept to his word.

"So what should we talk about? I honestly just wanted to talk to you away from everyone else. Wow that sounded really scary." Jack said scratching the back of his head looking a bit embarrassed. He was not great at small talk since most of his "dates" were one night stands. So Jack was the smoothest talker on planet Earth.

Tanya Liberty Lamont.

Tanya got a little excited when Miss Brown mentioned the play. A smile she was trying so hard to suppress etched it's way across her lips. Tanya's a star! She has to shine. Regardless of what the play is (Something about Star Wars? Who knows). There would be auditioning and everything! There won't be a lot of roles for the gals, but Tanya would ace it... Unless they aren't looking for a black girl. Oooooh. Tanya's smile turned upside down for a moment as she literally just rained on her own parade. She decided to distract herself.

Oh! Let's see who's in the class.... Tanya thought to herself as she slyly went over the class. Of course there was Freddie, and Mari. They were doing their thang, and Tanya didn't feel like interrupting them (Unless shit gets really awkward). Tanya just had to turn her head when Rick Allen came into the room, speeding like a bullet. He is one of the Flashes, after all. He was constantly actin' like he had to prove it every ten seconds. Probably trying to impress her with his speed. Though, the attention of the class wasn't on Rick's speed, but his hilarious tardiness. Tanya had to chuckle a bit when he groaned.

Though, someone flopped down in the chair next to her. She wasn't paying attention because she was too focused on the rest of the class. However, she turned and it was the Fairy boy! Casey! She hasn't had a chance to talk to him, but he's a real straight shooter. "Casey, hiiiiiiii!" Tanya said with a friendly smile on her face. She noticed that Casey had his face buried in their class' book. Hm. She should probably get to reading that! Just so she knows what the hell anyone's talking about. "What do you think of-" She was about to ask some mundane questions just to get a conversation going.

But she noticed Mari waving at her to assemble the squad. She could never resist that call! She can ask these boring conversation starting questions to Freddie, too! Though, no conversation is boring with Tanya! Mari was even asking Casey to come along with them.

Tanya nodded her head at Casey, "Come along with us. I'd hate to see you sit here all lonely." She would stay with Casey if he didn't want to go. Hate to leave such a cute little boy all alone to read by himself. Just isn't right!

For now, Tanya was going to walk over to Mari and chat her up for a moment. "Heeeeeey, Mari!" Tanya loudly said, getting a very irritated look from Brown. Her eyes shot open wide when she realized her mistake. "Hey Mari." Tanya whispered as she sat down. "Can't wait to see how this play goes-" Before the flash of lightning caught the bird off guard. Tanya shrugged up her shoulders with her eyes wide. She looked over to Freddie... Who wasn't a happy camper.

Freddie was getting into an especially heated argument with the teacher - over what? A stupid play? Part of Tanya wanted to talk Freddie down, but she was afraid of getting struck by lightning! The boy was rebellious, but he was forgetting that he was playing in their ballpark. It ended when Freddie filled the room with fog, and stormed out. While using this lame ass Shakespeare-like dialect.

"Oh, Freddie..." Tanya said to Mari, rolling her eyes up into her head after the whole show that Freddie put on in front of Miss Brown. "You should save all the theatrics for the... oh, you know." It was annoying really. Only a matter of Freddie's pride getting in the way - Tanya didn't really understand it herself. Well, whatever.

On the way out, Freddie invited Mari to leave.

"Don't tell me you gonna let him drag you away?" Tanya asked her. Kiwi landing on her desk.

CASEY HARPER

Casey nearly swore out loud when Mrs Brown announced the title of this year’s production. Luckily the faerie managed to recollect himself before he did so, but the reveal did cause quite a stir both inside his head, as well as among the rest of his classmates. Honestly, Casey couldn’t care less about whether or not this new play was written by William Shakespeare, or even by that idiotic Donald Trump. Actually, if it had been written by Trump, Casey would’ve just left. No, what Casey was really annoyed about was that now he had gone and bought a copy of Macbeth for nothing! That book had been expensive! Especially since he had decided to go all out and get it in Hardback. That was $30 he was never getting back. That could have been, what? Like five or six peppermint mochas? Talk about ridiculous!

With a melodramatic sigh, Casey pushed the book feebly off of his desk and into his bag, before taking a look at the new book which Miss Brown placed in front of him. At long last, a smile stretched across Casey’s face as he instantly recognised the character displayed on the cover! Dark Vader. No... Darth Vader. Yes, that was it. Sure Casey had never seen the films, due to them being from before his time, but he knew that they were popular. Thinking about it, the films being from before his time probably wasn’t much of an excuse, especially due to his love for Nick, Joe, and Kevin. Either way, he had yet to see the films. They were set in space right? In the future? Casey had to admit that it would be an interesting comparison in regards to the usual performances the school held, where they put on tales from long ago and in places far, far away from the nature of this modern world. Casey was seriously starting to around to this idea. The character on the cover; Darth Vader, looked to be someone with seriously odd fashion senses. Something Casey could get behind.

Casey was about to dive right into the wonderful world of Star Wars, when someone beginning to speak to him caught his attention. The green haired teen removed his eyes from the page and turned to look at his neighbour. Tanya was beautiful, a talented musician, and could even turn into a bird woman. To put it straight, the young woman had everything going for her in life.

Casey smiled at her as she spoke. Her accent was cute. Foreign? Casey honestly couldn’t place where it was from. That wasn’t all that surprising. Casey’s geographical knowledge of this realm wasn’t all that great. Before she could finish speaking however, a call from the back of the room caused the two of them to turn their heads. Mari was calling them over. That was certainly a surprise. Casey had never spoken to her much. Well physically anyway. Oh Casey had imagined having numerous conversations with her, with him having thought up a number of flirtatious remarks in regards to her beauty. Those remarks however were perfectly fine staying firmly in his head. He’d seen what had happened to her friend Freddie when he had made a comment about her in the past.

The faerie smiled at Tanya as she spoke once more as she too invited him to join them. “Well, it certainly beats sitting here by myself!” He gave returned her smile, before following her across the room and towards his new reading group.

It would seem that not everyone in the class was a fan of Miss Brown’s choice of literature. That was certainly the case for Freddie, whose angry face was the first thing Casey noticed as he took his seat. The second thing was the lightning, which cracked loudly overhead like gun fire. The faerie watched in amazement as the British teenager rose to his feet, before reciting what could only be the kid’s favourite passage in Macbeth. Casey grinned from ear to ear. Even he couldn’t have opposed a teacher in such a dramatic and beautifully executed way. This guy… He had style. And balls. This guy certainly had balls. He watched in glee as Freddie made his way towards the door, before turning back towards them at the table and seemingly summoning Mari to join him. Was the dream team breaking up so soon?

As soon as Freddie departed, dispelling the fog he had created as he did so, the room was met with silence as Miss Brown and the rest of the class seemed to be trying to process whatever had just occurred. Casey however, now bored at the lack of chaos, opened his book and turned to the first page.

“So, should we start with Act 1?” He asked cooly, glancing up at Tanya and Mari as if nothing had happened.

Amethyst

Of course after shoving the small fry away so she could make her way to class, he was still talking and taking matters into his own hands as if it was his duty to stand up to those naughty magic users. Amethyst was so over his incessant nagging and she had the urge to punch him in the face, but she knew that wouldn't end well. She turned around and made a face at him, mocking the way he was talking as if she were 5, but it was funny to her. She made hand movements as if she was manipulating a puppet as the boy continued to speak. It was bad enough Richard was lecturing her but now her 'uncle' had to suffer as well.

"Look, Rick is it? I get that she's your family, but that doesn't excuse her actions. What you need to understand is that she not only could injure people, but she's also hurting the image of every other mage at this school. I want to resolve this with words, not curses."

This warranted Amethyst to roll her eyes so hard, she saw god in heaven.

"Jesus Christ do you ever stop talking. Why do you keep bothering me when I'm trying to walk away. Are you trying to have sex or something. You wanna fuck?" She cackled obnoxiously. He was like one of those flies that kept trying to land on your food at a picnic and no matter how many times you try to swat it away, it still kept coming back. She looked over and she could tell Rick was getting just as annoyed as her. No matter their differences, they had their moments when they were exactly alike.

"Look, I just need to you to understand that you can't go around and do that to people. He's a pig if he did what you said, but that's not an excuse for attacking him. But I think we both know that you won't understand that, will you? Because in the end, you're just a petulant child gifted with powers you don't deserve."

That had done it. Amethyst was trying her hardest to ignore the kid and go about with her business, but that last sentence really struck a cord within her. She noticed Richard had pulled out his little stick which he called a wand knowing there was a chance he could get hexed for the things he just said. Her eyes turned bright pink as she rushed forward to the other magic user.

"Listen here you little bi-" Before she could finish, Rick jumped forward and grabbed Richard before she could get her hands on him. It was instinctive the way her and her relatives acted.

"Say that again, you fucking prick!"

It wasn't a surprise that Rick could throw him around like a small rag doll. Poor young mage. All bark and no bite. Everything seemed to go quiet before that fairy boy Casey passed by at the most awkward time, saying something to Rick before he left.

“Mind breaking that magic stick of his, while you’re at it?”

Amethyst smirked at the comment. almost shocked that a fairy got off to such conflict. It was cute. She looked down seeing Richard on the ground which prompted her to give a few words to him.

"Let me give you some advice, honey. The world is a bad place. There will always be good and bad. You can't have one without the other. You're naive to think that your little heroic acts of justice will change the fact that there are bad people in this world with gifts like us. That's what you call life. Bad people will get rewarded and good people will be treated like shit. That boy in there deserved what was coming to him. Actions have consequences whether they are good or bad. You attempting to scold me won't fix anything. Learn something from this," she told him as Jay Garrick approached the trio, his cane supporting his old body. Now this was an awkward family reunion as both Rick and Amethyst stared at the old speedster as he told them to basically stop the shenanigans and get to class.

"I hope I can safely assume that everything here will be resolved and let go. It would be a shame for potential team mates to squabble over a difference of opinion. Batman and Superman haven't seen eye to eye in their entire careers, but are known for having one of the strongest friendships in the League. Now if any of you are lost, I'd be happy to personally escort you to class. Otherwise you'd best be on your way now."

"Actually, I was just leaving. Good day, uncles," she said with a sweet down while also looking down at Richard before walking off, her pumps clicking along the pavement as she walked.

______________________________________________________________

As Amethyst made her way to class, she happened to see Freddie moving the opposite direction of her with an expression that made her believe he was deep in thought. Wasn't it the middle of class, she thought? She made her way inside of Miss Brown's classroom, throwing away her empty coffee cup in the trash bin.

"Sorry I'm late. I had to throw out the trash," she said smiling. Amethyst made her way to her seat, setting down her Balenciaga bag beside her and crossing her legs in her chair. She reached down to pull out some lip gloss and began to apply some before the professor interrupted her.

"Well I'm glad you decided to grace us with your presence, Miss Bordeaux," she said sarcastically. "Now if you would put away the makeup as this isn't beauty school and take out the script I sent to all of you. Find a group and get to work." Amethyst made a face mocking the professor before putting away her lip product. She looked over and saw Rick there. It wasn't a surprise he was there before she was, but was certain he hadn't been there for too long.

"I guess I'm stuck with you," she said with an unenthusiastic tone in her voice.

Fenris Murray

@Avanhelsing

Looking at Jack as he ordered his tea and a scone, not questioning his lack of a sweet tooth like Fen did as he scanned the menu once, and then twice again. "Hmmmm, if you are going to say that..." Fen said with a devious thought of buying literally everything on the menu but that wasn't practical nor money friendly, so he decided against that. "I'll take one of your butter croissants and a black coffee, please and thank you" He said smiling to the cashier who nodded with a slight blush on their check but were surprisingly hiding it well. Thanking Jack as he paid for the two boy's order they stood around for a few minutes before they received their orders and went to sit down at a table. "Thanks for paying by the way" Fen said as he took a bit of his croissant and sat down in his chair.

"So what should we talk about? I honestly just wanted to talk to you away from everyone else. Wow that sounded really scary. Jack said to them at the stable, as the two of them were drinking their drinks and eating their eats. Laughing a little bit at Jack's question, but he literally had no idea on what to talk about. "Oh, did you hear about one of the freshmen had a outburst today? Apparently it happened right outside the Mess Hall when S'tann left us. They said the freshmen knocked out one of the students, but nobody recognized the kid. Have you heard anything yet?" Fen asked curiously as he was on point with the rumors and gossip that was floating around even during this short walk to the shop. But besides that, whoever was that kid sucked, apparently S'tann along with his sense of justice came to the 'rescue' and terrified the poor freshman. It was probably just an accident, or so it says with all the whispering that has been going around.

But besides the events from today's small disruption in the school's normal schedule, there were also a number of interesting rumors floating around that haven't been big enough for him to confirm how truthful they were but one was particularly interesting. It seems like the school may be planning a test for the students, but no one else who has been talking about this has been heard. So, it may or may not be true but he knew that there was events that teams were created to participated but he was slightly curious when they were going to start but with no one saying much Fen didn't have much to off on. Putting the thought to the back of his mind as he went back to eating his croissant and slowly drinking his coffee which had gotten cooler.

Honestly, this wasn't too bad of a date if you could call it that. It was indeed awkward as they had little of anything to talk about but with nothing interesting happening it wasn't hard to not find anything to talk about that had significant value. But Fen didn't mind if the two went out again, but lets see what this date would lead to, no? He mentally laughed as he waited, and during the mean time occasionally glanced at Jack checking him out a few time now he had a chance to do so somewhat more privately...

Before he knew what was happening, Richard was thrown to the ground by the wannabe speedster. Landing on his stomach, he sputtered, the wind completely knocked out of him. Gripping his wand, he was ready to stand up and hex the ever loving shit out of him, only for Jay motherfucking Garrick to show up and gently remind them to get to class and knock it off. With this new development, he begrudgingly nodded over to him, and was just about to get up when Rick punched him square in the nose, leaving him back on the ground, now with a bloody nose. It was around then when Amethyst decided to lecture him of all people.

Learn something from this,"

This really got Richard angry, and it took every fiber of self control he had to not get up and beat her to the ground. He exhaled, wiped his nose with his arm, and thought to himself"Oh I learned something alright, words won't teach you a damn thing." He internally seethed "Next time I'll forgo them in favor of something you might understand." As she walked off, he stood and dusted himself off, and took off the other way to join Mrs.Brown's class.

Richard cooled down considerably by the time he shuffled into the classroom, not wanted to interrupt or make a scene of his entrance, He simply nodded at the professor, before slinking off to join the group of Tanya and Casey, figuring he may as well hang with the mythological creatures." Hey guys," He said quietly,"Mind if I join you?" He asked.

As Freddie brought his disdain for Miss Brown's teaching choices to everyone's attention, Mari could only roll her eyes as a groan escaped her lips. She loved Freddie, she truly did but he was rather self centered at times and this was definitely one of those times. Ever since Mari had met Freddie she had listened to him prattle on about how he was a 'leading man' and a 'sure-in for the roll of MacBeth.' While she could understand his confusion as to why Miss Brown had opted to go with a movie adapted into the style of Shakespeare it wasn't his place to question the teacher whether he was British or not. Questioning of authority figures was clearly Mari's schtick and now Freddie had made that all about him as well.

"So, prithee, go with me." Came Freddie's voice as Mari noticed he staring directly towards her, motioning as though she was supposed to follow after him like some spineless worm without an independent thought of her own. A crinkle of disgust marred her normally attractive face as she began to shake her head.

"Don't tell me you gonna let him drag you away?" Tanya's question came with its own tone of disgust as she looked towards Freddie and back to Mari who had to stifle a loud laugh.

"Oh hell no." Came Mari's reply as Miss Brown shot her an exasperated look. "I know, I know, watch my fuckin' language." Miss Brown had to fight back a smirk at Mari's quick reply as she turned back to her desk. Sitting down, Miss Brown opened up her tablet, making note of Freddie's outburst and sending the memo to his residential adviser.

With Freddie gone, the group was down to three. At least it would have been if it wasn't for the untimely arrival of Richard who promptly sat down with the group.

"Yeah sure," Mari muttered as Casey piped up.

"Act 1 sounds good to me Greenie." She added with a small smile. Looking around she noticed that Amethyst and Rick had also joined the class but there must have been something between those two and Richard given the distance they were keeping from each other. Mari could only shake her head but offered a small wave to the other two anyways.

As Greenie started to read, Mari found herself staring at the clock on the wall. She was supposed to enjoy this but Freddie's outburst had kind of ruined it for her. He was supposed to be here laughing with her but instead he had to go and ruin her entire mood. The sound of a ringing bell brought Mari's attention back to reality as she packed her things up before double checking her schedule.

A.R.C. Session - John Stewart

A groan escaped her lips. She was still far too hungover to play make believe as 'heroes'. None of the less she didn't fancy a lesson from the Boy Wonder himself so with heavy feet, Mari began to shuffle towards the A.R.C.

My name is Nora Norwich, and I'm the hottest--

Well, no, that isn't true. Nora Norwich is not my given name, rather a name I've given myself. It was my father's idea. To help protect me from the many enemies he had made over the centuries. That's right. Centuries. He warned me after my powers manifested that I would be a magnet for miscreants, delinquents, and villains. Be they mortal... or something else. And, in Gotham there are plenty.

One night while walking home with my mother we were attacked. I lost control of my powers... and my mother. Gotham's Dark Knight would swoop down afterwards and temporarily take me in. He convinced me to attend the Corrigan School of Advanced Learning and Development. So here I am. In Star City attending a school with other gifted teens in the hope that I learn to control my abilities.

The bell rung ending English class for the day. As with the other students Nora collected her books and placed them in her book bag. Slinging her bag over her shoulder the fifteen year old stood from her seat to leave the classroom flashing her Mr. Duncan a smile before exiting. Her purple Chuck Taylors made no sound as she walked the halls of the Quadrangle. The school's Academic Quadrangle was the largest building that she had been inside of to date. Nora ran her slender fingers through her long ginger locks. As she walked the high split sides of her black boyfriend t-shirt with the word 'love' in white lettering cascading down the front six times sashayed over her torn blue jeans.

Already the butterflies were doing a number on her tummy. Nora had an A.R.C. (Augmented Reality Center) session next. It was made her anxious to have use her pyrokinetic abilities around others. Nora hadn't joined the school for hero training like all the others she had met here. She had come to learn to control her abilities so she wouldn't be a danger to herself and especially to others.

Before, during and after class quite a few students were talking about an incident that happen outside. Different versions of the story had it taking place within the courtyard. A few actually referred to it as 'the Kyle Incident'. Apparently a younger student, named Kyle if rumors were true, lost control of his abilities and ended up injuring a classmate. If that weren't bad enough the Kryptonian and Martian got involved, yet stories differed on the details.

That was Nora's biggest fear. To be the cause of another person getting injured -or worse- because she didn't have the self-restraint and mastery over her own power. She wished she could have more one-on-one training before having to face off with and against her classmates. The biggest fight Nora had ever gotten was at a photoshoot for the local Denim & Denim store in Gotham when she was twelve. Nora ended up pulling the hair extensions from a blonde girl's head after being called a "redheaded booby head" over and over and over and over again.

Nora wished her father was here. Of course, wherever her father went her 'uncle' would eventually appear as well. Nora shook her head. A big bad demon probably would not be very welcome in Corrigan.

Raphael Crosshairs Linden

Star City; The Corrigan School for Advanced Learning and Development
Tuesday, October 28 2015

That flat-chested, pale skinned ginger never seemed to leave him alone. Bianca Beige had long antagonized him, if the fraction of the school year that had passed counted as a long time. But the troublesome part was that it was often completely without him propelling her. He couldn't tell if he was simply being weakly bullied or if she had a crush on him like some six year old schoolgirl.

After roughly forty minutes, or something to that effect, the bell relieved him of her teasing. It felt like he was just a tree, petrified while he was pecked at by a relentless little bird. She said something snarky, crinkling her nose and cocking her head, like her face was a t-shirt chucked into the corner of a teenaged boy's room.

Raphael hardly breathed as he, along with all his classmates, were funneled through the doorway and into the hall.

He wasn't late, but that hardly meant he didn't have to hurry. The ARC simulations were distant from his place on one of the upper floors in the Quadrangle. So he weaved his way through his classmates, pushing his chest between theirs. As he passed Bianca, he tugged on her hair like it was a bell before hearing her squeal.

"ammit, Linden," she growled. At that he was off.

One particularly exhaustive jog later, he stood in front of the Augmented Reality Center, anxiously waiting to see who was there.

Mailsi twirled her yellow umbrella as she trudged from her Aunt's class to A.R.C. It really wasn't necessary as it was hardly raining anymore. But she had brought it with her, an she was going to use it. Plus, she had an aversion to rain. Ireland was mainly a temperate climate without extremes. Not like Star City. At least there was still an ocean when she started feeling homesick. (The wrong ocean, but beggars can't be choosers.)

Mailsi balanced her umbrella on her shoulder, tucked under her chin, to balance her book bag. With the books from Aunt Kara's class and her two others today, she was overloaded. Thankfully they had a break today in the form of an A.R.C. Session. Though it sounded as if they wouldn't be separated by age and ability like they had for prior session. Instead they were going to have teams picked at random from the entire student body. Mailsi always enjoyed a good challenge. Yet she hoped that she'd know at least one person on her team. Following and/or leading strangers was a hard task. At least they'd all be crippled by the same obstacle.

Mailsi smirked at the thought and started twirling her umbrella again. Soon the A.R.C. building appeared and she joined the mass of students making their way inside. She recognized Mar'i. Who looked highly disgruntled. But she was part of he Bats, who knows what goes on through their heads? Then there was Linden, formerly known as Blue Bullet. (A terrible name. One step away from becoming a sad ballet.)

Mailsi also spotted the creepy girl, Nora, lurking in the center. The teen was very emo today. Mailsi wrinkled her nose a little bit. She hated that Nora could always sense her when near by. It was... creepy, if she allowed herself to be repetitive.

"<Oh gwad.>" Mailsi moaned in Galiac. The only people who could understand her were Bláthnat and Casey. "<Please, by all that is holy, may the unseelie court not stick me with any weirdos or lame-os.>"
