@The Grey Dust Shinrei will probably just ignore them. He has nothing to gain from an opponent who surrenders just for their own amusement of fooling people into thinking they're good.

His darker half would find that very amusing.

And he will ignore Shinrei, because frankly my dear, he's not worth his time, just like everyone else he'll duel, practically defeat, and then at the last moment, decide to surrender the duel and turn around saying something about meaningless victories.

Hrm... what archtype should I use.

Ideally I'd use Burning abyss, but that's not allowed :C

Actually he will be very beneficial toward Tsukiko's character developing and changing over time. I'm not going to say how since that would be obvious spoilers but it does leave me with an idea. I will wait and see how the story develops.

But seeing him might influence Shinrei. Well, seeing him duel someone that is.

Well, you could always create one and try to adapt to it the best you can with what can be used.

I wonder if given the circumstances, if I could have the student be much older (but still considered a "first year") in the dark dorm, and all duels are "Scripted" to get him close enough to winning but he'll just surrender anyways. That being said, the character's not going to improve his deck at all, so he has to start off with a pretty OP Deck :C

I know if this card were ever created it would end up on the forbidden list not before too long.

Name: Overload Summon

Spell type: Normal

Effect: Special summon to the field ignoring the summoning conditions any LV5 or higher monster by discarding two divided by the level of the card to determine how many cards need to be sent to the graveyard.

Basically if you have a Level 12 card you need to discard 6 cards to summon it to the field. Kind of hard to do unless you have a card where you can draw an extra card into your hand. You get the idea, I think.

Rather a rough draft but as I said if this card were ever created it would instantly end up on the Ban List. Nonetheless an interesting idea. Could also work with Rank 4-12 if you wanted to go that way too then it would definitely be banned from the game LOL.

I don't even know what the card text is trying to say.

And coming from a guy that is a (self-proclaimed) expert at reading yugioh card effects, that is pretty bad.

Basically the negative effect of the card is you discard the amount of cards divided by the level to Special Summon a monster that is LV/RK 2-12. Since you're working with dividing all you have to do is divide the card's level by two to get how many cards you discard. You always round any number that is not a whole number up to the next number.

1-2: One card
3-4: Two cards
5-6: Three cards
7-8: Four cards
9-10 Five cards
11-12 Six cards

I don't even know what the card text is trying to say.

That is wrong. I don't know where you got that information but I never ever implied that. You find where I said that and then I might agree with you, but from what I remember I never gave any impression that I was an expert at the game. I have no idea where you pulled that from.

Do not make assumptions about me that you do not have facts to back up your claims.

Anyway, it doesn't matter since the card is broken beyond belief, but I can see a card like that being made in the game.

I sure hope so. I took that as an insult but if that was him talking about himself then I guess I just misinterpreted the statement.

What confused me is why he used parenthesis around "self-proclaimed".

I don't even know how you interpreted that to mean you. Not to be rude or anything, but I was clearly talking about myself.
