Name: Eragn/Isaera
Gender: Male/Female
Sphere of control: Fire, Destruction and Rebirth
Personality: Eragn is a furious, raging brute that thinks only of spreading his flames and burning away all life. He is tricky to deal with, and has been known to willingly do anything to fulfill his primal desires.
Though, if Eragn was one side of a single coin, then Isaera would be the other; such as while Eragn brings only destruction and devastation, Isaera brings the promise of life and regrowth. Isaera is calm, kind, and peaceful...however; she still can be overwhelmed by the impression of Eragn when angered, just as she can influence Eragn to commit acts of mercy with her own impression.
Sacred animal: Phoenix(Closest Earth equivalent)
Powers: Control over fire, levitation and flight, rebirth(Like a Phoenix, swapping gender/personas each time), and ability to become the embodiment of flame(Body becomes one of pure fire and flame).
Planet of origin: Vekta
Weapon(s): Eragn typically uses a flaming, spiked war mace, a large, two-handed battle axe, or two flaming axes. Isaera typically uses dual Kamas.
History: Eragn was of the first generation of gods to populate the God Realm of Odalisi and rule over the Mortal Realm of Vekrashtan, originally created by the Divine Essence to serve as the benevolent and passionate God of Nature. However, he did not remain satisfied in this position for very long; as he quickly became intensely fascinated by fire, and it's ability to burn away the fragile life that grew on Vekta. He then pleaded with Kalu, King of the Gods and God of Respect and Nobility, to convince the Will of the Divine Essence to transfer the responsibility of fire to Eragn. Kalu reluctantly agreed, and later succeeded in fulfilling Eragn's request; and so the former God of Nature was reborn...as the God of Fire, and the embodiment of flame...
For a time, Eragn retained his benevolent persona...letting fire sprout only in conditions that were ripened for such an occurance, allowing old forests to be born anew. Then came the fateful day that the other Gods had feared of, but never truly expected; it happened during a normal visit to the realm of Vekrashtan, while Eragn was talking with Tholduum, God of Earth(and now Nature, at the time), about what should be burned away. At some point throughout the conversation, as Eragn had begun working on clearing forest, the God of Fire suddenly snapped, becoming highly enraged and turning to lash out at Tholduum. The mighty God of Earth was scorched and wounded, but still managed to escape back to Odalisi in a state of confusion over the betrayal. Tholduum told the other gods of what Eragn had done, and told them that flames threatened to engulf the entire planet...leaving nothing, no chance of regrowth whatsoever...and so the gods moved in to intervene. A war began between Eragn and the other gods, with him furiously holding his own against the odds...lasting for 100 years before Eragn was finally subdued and imprisoned in Daeglu, a hellish prison realm perfectly capable of containing a god, and peace was finally restored throughout Odalisi and Vekrashtan.
Several centuries after the imprisonment of Eragn, the gods realized that life on Vekta was both stagnating in dry temperatures and struggling to survive in the cold...as there was no more fire to be spoken of. Eventually, Kalu decided upon a plan to fix this problem, requiring a sort of curse to be placed upon Eragn. The gods then gathered together and held a ceremony; creating a single, new god soul from the Divine Essence...molding it's personality as they wished, but never giving it true form. Then, after the soul was made, the gods fused the new soul with the body of Eragn, and set him free. He proceeded to blaze across the surfaces of Vekta, his reign of destruction beginning once more...until Kalu challenged Eragn to a duel, a challenge which the God of Fire accepted. During the fight, Tholduum and Vassia, Goddess of Water, came and struck Eragn down from behind...killing him.
From the ashes of Eragn, Isaera was born...the first of many gods to arrive in the second generation. She nurtured the soil that had been scorched, fertilizing it and allowing it to support future life...knowing that it would all be burned again one day. And so the cycle began; Isaera would die when the world needed to purge, allowing Eragn to burn as he pleased for only a short time...then Eragn would die, allowing the world to grow again and flourish.
Other: 1. Eragn and Isaera share one, singular "body" betwixt the two of them, and essentially "take turns" controlling said body with death and rebirth being what cycles through their turns.
2. Eragn and Isaera are immortal, but they are not invincible. One of them can be "killed" in battle, but the other will always regenerate from the ashes. Too many deaths within a period of time begins to slow this process, until eventually the ashes will become dormant...at this point, only the Divine Flame held in Odalisi can revive them.
