@rechonq I don't want to spoil anything, so... Just more spread out roleplay, taking on more leadership roles, more akin to Mythology and Fantasy and coming away slightly from solely focusing on the characters, though they would still be the main POV and focus. It wouldn't be everyone, I don't see characters like Aforgomon stepping into the roles we have planned, so for those not interested it's not something the characters need to do, but if no one is interested we may switch gears. I'll say more once we get closer, I don't want to influence the roleplay accidentally. :)
@OtomostheCrazy@Ace of flames01 One of the Fae is familiar with Yuki, could contact her and in turn pull Rhona into it. Yuki can get involved if she wants.
My previously submitted god, Aruuk, is being withdrawn. I'm no longer planning to use him. At all.
Name: Ariakami (Or "Ari") Gender: Female Godly parents: Tholduum(God of Earth) and Isaera(Goddess of Fire and Rebirth) Sphere of control: Earth, Fire, Nature(Vegetation dominant) Personality: Ariakami carries herself as a bold and strong-willed goddess, while others often view her as being stubborn and even quick to anger. Deep down inside, Ari is actually quite prone to fear; resulting from damage to her god-soul caused by a catastrophic event that occurred soon after her birth. Sacred animal: Earth Canary Powers: Ariakami can physically manipulate the earth around her with her movements. Such as creating a shockwave by stomping the ground, or throwing unusually large boulders.
She also has control over fire, and can create and cast flames from her bare hands - assuming she has the energy to manage.
Having control of both earth and fire allows Ari to combine them and create volcanic attacks, but she is not familiar with these abilities and they require a lot of her energy and focus to use correctly.
Ari is innately in tune with nature, and does not scare or startle animals while alone unless she means to do so. She can control nearby vegetation and incite rapid growth, but cannot control animals whatsoever. Weapon(s):
"Valor", one of the two Khopesh blades originally wielded by Kalu, King of the Gods. Forged by the Divine Flame, Valor can never be destroyed nor outmatched by any other weapon so long as it's wielder is an Odalisian God and remains untouched by fear. Should anyone who is not an Odalisian God attempt to wield Valor, the blade will disappear. Should the wielder experience fear, the sword begins to weaken; and if the experienced fear is strong enough, the blade will once again disappear. History: Ariakami was birthed by a mystical flower that was grown from the delicate bond between Tholduum and Isaera, in the well maintained and fertilized gardens of Odalisi. Born a little before the collapse of civilization on Vekta, Ari existed just long enough to feel the pain and fear that accompanied the death of trillions of living organisms all across Vekta's surface. Experiencing such a cataclysmic event at such a young age resulted in her soul being forever scarred, leaving her exceptionally prone to fear. Owik(God of Time, Space, and Dimensions) knew that Vekta would never recover from this cataclysm, but knew that while he and the other gods relied on the mortals for their strength; Ariakami and the other Demigods of Odalisi did not, and would therefore survive far past the final days of Vekta.
Without speaking a word to the other gods, Owik began to reach out into the vastness of space, looking to find future homes for the demigods to reside. Eventually he came across a handful of suitable planets, Earth among them, and began to make necessary preparations. Others: Ariakami is hesitant to wield Valor in combat, viewing it more as a ceremonial weapon and valuing it as a reminder of the home she left behind.

And now the character I wrote way too damn much for, and spoils everything... ...but he's valuable cause his history section details why shit's the way that shit is.
And a prior warning, this was written on my phone by sleep-deprived fingers...and it is long...for me...especially on my phone...so yeah...ta da~
Name: Kalu Gender: Male Sphere of control: King of the Gods in Odalisi, God of the Realms under the Divine Essence, and the specific virtues of Honor, Nobility, and Respect Personality: Kalu is calm-spirited and understanding, and his duty and generosity to Vekrashtan remains very much underrated by the mortals on Vekta...but he doesn't mind. He knows that he is what keeps each of the realms separate from one another, and he knows that his duty as God of the Realms is what keeps the mortals of Vekrashtan alive and away from complete and total devastation. Even though Kalu was tasked with keeping the realms separated, several mortals have found "back-doors" to bypass his control; and so he must constantly keep a wary eye turned to Vekta.
But the benevolent Kalu would not dare to neglect his other duties as the King of the Gods, and routinely checks in with the other gods to make certain that they are well and able to maintain their duties...if they are not, then he acts accordingly. He also acts as the communicator between the other gods and the Will of the Divine Essence, negotiating things such as turning mortals into Demigods or the like.
And even with all his authorities and duties that he must maintain, he still expresses kindness and remains a gentle and respectful god. Any sign of stress is completely and utterly absent from his face, but...it can still be seen in his weary eyes. Sacred animal: Wolf Powers: Kalu has the innate ability to inspire others to follow him Planet of origin: Vekta Weapon(s): Two khopesh swords, a shield, and a spear/polearm History: Kalu was born into the first generation of gods, and was tasked with ruling over the original realm of Vekrashtan under the influence of the Divine Essence. In the beginning, Kalu's tasks were simple and easy, and all that needed to be done was keeping order between the existing gods. There were not yet any civilizations to speak of anywhere across the surface of Vekta, and it was only after the birth of the second generation of gods that civilizations began to appear. And as time went on more realms were created by the Divine Essence, designed for more specific and specialized purposes; such as Odalisi, a realm for the gods to call their own and do with as they pleased; Solustier, a conduit for souls from the mortal realm, Vekrashtan, to pass through and await judgement and redistribution; Uunodas, a hellish realm created to punish souls that were deemed unworthy with little hope for redemption; Pylasa, a heavenly paradise for souls that are either deemed worthy or have redeemed themselves to enjoy for eternity; Daeglu, an infernal purgatory designed to contain "misbehaving" gods or any such god-like beings; and finally, Hexerazyl, an empty void where only the most vile evils are dispatched and sealed away...and is also where void magic originates from.
Throughout the several millennia that followed after the birth of the first generation, Kalu would risk his own existence numerous times to intervene and settle disputes between gods, protect his siblings, and even to protect the mortal realm. Kalu has valiantly lead his brothers and sisters throughout the entirety of their existence, never hesitating to put himself in danger in order to protect his siblings. When Eragn went on a rampage, scorching Tholduum and the surface of Vekta; Kalu stepped into harm's way in order to challenge the God of Fire to a dual, and distract him long enough to allow the other gods to strike Eragn down. Also, when Aruuk, God of the Sun, was kidnapped by the Goddess Kiwo, an alternate of Owik(God of Space, Time, and Dimensions) that had traveled from an alternate dimension; Kalu fought alone and against all odds in a month long battle against the hostile gods of that new dimension to rescue Aruuk...nearly losing in the process, before Owik came to his aid with not only reinforcements from their home dimension, but a convinced and converted Kiwo. There are many more situations in which Kalu risked his own destruction for the safety of his fellow gods, but none of which would compare to what he would go through to in an attempt to save the planet of Vekta...
The civilizations that rose up across the planet's surface would often go to war against one another, often for pitifully petty reasons. This sort of behavior was to be expected out of the mortals by now, as it had been their way for millennia. But all the most recent, more catastrophic wars had been caused by a greater reason...a great, powerful, and mysterious source of evil...one so elusive and dangerous that all of the gods were tasked with searching for it, but to no avail. By this time and age, the mortals were replacing their gods with technology and science, leaving the gods in a weakened state...the magic that was once so bountiful in Vekrashtan was long since dried up and gone. And so, with the gods preoccupied, the mysterious evil force twisted and contorted the strings of it's puppets to it's villainous will...setting the stage for a massive cataclysmic event, unlike anything the planet had ever faced...and the gods hardly even noticed, at least...not until it was already too late to prevent. Vekta was subsequently engulfed in nuclear flames, killing trillions of mortal beings and creatures alike, while mutating hundreds of thousands more into mindless monsters...but most importantly, it nearly severed the connection between Vekrashtan and the gods entirely...leaving the gods weaker than ever before. Kalu used the last of his strength to travel to Vekrasthan, and disguise himself as a hopeful survivor in the new, bleak world that was once the beautiful Vekta. He discovered that in the three centuries after the nuclear detonations, the mortals had begun to rebuild their world...but their progress was slowed and halted by constant attacks from bandits, mutants, and a strange army of mutants known to the mortals as the "Umbranodas"(or simply "The Umbra"). Hearing the stories of the Umbra, Kalu began to suspect that the mysterious evil was involved...but only once he investigated the stories for himself did he realize; the mysterious evil caused the cataclysm in order to kill off the mortals that gave the gods their powers, it wanted to permanently separate the gods from this realm...so that it could rule over Vekrashtan itself, content in knowing that it was responsible for the death of the gods. Kalu's suspicions were confirmed upon investigating rumors concerning the homeland and origin of the Umbra, as when he made his final approach to the army's supposed home he saw what appeared to be a limitless mass of overgrown and unkempt jungle...and he knew then that only a source of magic could've allowed this much, and especially this dense, of vegetation to grow. Undeniable proof of the mysterious evil's involvement came when Kalu faced the Umbra in combat for the first time...they weren't just some mutants, they were undead...and magic was flowing through them as if it were their blood.
From that point on, Kalu lived in the former country known as Seeyre, while his god powers slowly began to dissipate and fail him. He spent his time working as a guard in the most fortified city left in the world...waiting, planning, hoping...until finally an opportunity revealed itself. He took a job from the leader of Seeyre, formally entitled and addressed as the "Pa'haroh", and was directed to assemble a team and locate six disks...though he wasn't told much else. So he set off, eventually finding himself a team of survivors, eventually finding the disks...only to find out that the mysterious evil became alerted to his godly presence, sending the full force of the Umbral army sweeping over the wasteland...they were running out of time. As the Umbral army ravaged and destroyed all that lay in it's path, Kalu and his team were faced with crossing a large stretch of ocean...one that was well known for being the home of various sea monsters, as well as the legendary "Abyssal". Kalu knew that he had made an impression upon his followers and trusted that they would continue the mission until the very end, this much he had been sure of for quite some time...though even as he kept reassuring himself of this fact, he found it hard to believe...he didn't know why he found it so hard to believe, and pushed the doubt from his mind. It was when he finally saw it, that he realized why he didn't believe himself...when the Abyssal rose out of the water from beneath their escort ship, the size of the vessel dwarfed by the beast's gaping maw...it was only when he heard the screams of pure, primal terror coming from the crew of that ship as it was crushed and they were eaten...what he had felt...why he couldn't believe himself...it was fear. Kalu could never remember having felt fear before, and as the new sensation overwhelmed him he struggled to maintain his brave and hopeful composure. But deep down he was terrified...everything that he, his brothers, and his sisters had worked for millennia on end to cultivate and achieve...it was all threatened now...soon, it might all end...the gods would all die out, and Kalu began to feel like there was no more hope.
Thanks to sheer luck, and the wind blowing in their favor, Kalu and his team outran and survived the encounter, suffering only the one ship as a loss...but they all knew that they would have to sail back over the very same waters to return home. They arrived at their destination; the island of Ravendu, known at the time as "The Standing City" due to the fact that the entire city remained almost entirely intact. Here, they would decrypt the information that was held on the 6 disks, and unlock the secret to defeating not only the Umbra, but the great darkness that had consumed the planet as well. During this process, however, they were attacked, and many of their supporting crewman were killed in the skirmish. Now they were left with only enough men to sail one ship back to the mainland, carrying the secret with it. Kalu knew they would never make it in only one boat, and even as he - the King of Gods, renowned for his valor and resolve - had lost hope...his followers hadn't, and it was only because of them that he continued on this far past the Abyssal. Kalu was at a loss as for what to do, his fear clouding his mind...leading to frustration, anger, confusion...he knew that this would have to be the end, whether for the gods or the mysterious evil; he didn't know, but he had to come to terms and accept that this would be the end. And it was just after this train of thoughts rampaged through his mind that he heard it...one of his companions volunteering to load the spare ship with as many explosives as it could carry, saying that she could sail the ship ahead of theirs and blow the beast apart. Kalu stood up and denied her request, announcing that he would take her place, as he had served his purpose in this world. His followers pleaded and opposed, but he would have none of it; they were young, but they were more than capable of fending for themselves. Kalu told them that he was getting to weak to continue on, and that he trusted them to complete the mission and save the world from darkness.
Saying their final goodbyes after loading one of the ships with enough explosives to crater a small village, Kalu and his followers parted ways. He found it difficult to sail the ship alone, but he figured that he was managing well enough. He felt a certain harmony being carried in on the the salty breeze, he heard it in the waves as they splashed against the hull of the boat...he felt as if he was finally complete, as if his entire life as a god was building up towards this one, final moment. Kalu closed his eyes and took a deep breath, smelling only a putrid air but envisioning it as having smelt as heavenly as it did back when Vekta was still healthy and green...and then; the sound of creaking wood and splashing water accompanied by a moist and motionless air, and finally a sudden wave of intense heat crashing over his body...after that, he felt nothing.
Kalu awoke in Odalisi to see the other gods gathered around him, wondering what was going on and why they were all just staring at him without speaking a single word. He realized he was laying down, and moved to get up before asking about the fate of Vekta...only he didn't move...he couldn't move! Kalu's eyes went wide with shock as he looked across the blank and emotionless faces of his brothers and sisters, until his eyes met those of Tholduum; the God of Earth then kneeling beside the immobilized Kalu. He opened is mouth and paused to think over his words, and spoke in a softened voice to the King of Gods, God of the Realms...his own king, his brother, and his friend...he told Kalu that he had spent up almost all of the power he'd had left, that he could no longer move about on his own, and that it was only a matter of time before he would expend the last of his energy and die. Kalu insisted on asking about the fate of Vekta, and Tholduum hesitated...then said that Kalu's band of followers had succeeded in eradicating the darkness, and as the God of Earth saw the happiness in Kalu's eyes...his emotionless face of stone turned into one of sadness. He struggled to tell Kalu that it was too late...Vekta was dying, the gods were dying...and nothing could be done.
Although, their children would survive...as they did not rely on mortals for their power like their parents.
Other: Kalu is now in a crippled state, and cannot move on his own accord I think I made his history way too long, but I got carried away. My bad, and my apologies.
I was actually thinking of that earlier. Like if there was a timeskip I was thinking of trying to RP Landon going and taking the job of bringing in the moon every night or the north wind in the winter. If that's sort of what you were thinking then I think I would be interested
@rechonq Perhaps I should be a bit more specific... Becoming more involved with the mortals. Guiding and leading them, kind of. Things won't be nearly the same by Arc Two's end as it was at it's beginning, everything is going to change and the gods will have their chance to be needed and wanted.
More responsibilities could be given to them if you want them, but for the most part we've been letting the universe take care of everything, leaning more towards science.
@PerseusArchean Yeah I would still like that. It sounds a little like what I said, but Landon would also get recognition for it. As for exactly what roles he gets I don't care, it would just have to be able to fall under cold and darkness, even if it's a stretch it's fine with me. Ha maybe Landon could take a portion of hell(darkness) and freeze it over.
As for your first character you welcome to get rid of them. Also you may want to become active in the Ic soon, stuff is about to go down.
Well thanks...
Second, actually. And yes I know, I just needed to make sure that I at least explained some of what was going on in my pantheon, as well as why my chars are doing what they're doing. I don't want to just up and appear...and stuff...
...and all of that work was basically just to explain my opening post or two, as Ariakami is going to be my only active character. XD
And here it is. I might also make another one down the line as well...
Gojira
Gender: Female
Godly Parents:
Mother: Gaia
Father: The Atomic Bomb (No Biological Father)
Sphere of Control: Nature and balance, with destruction thrown into it.
Personality: Gojira can be considered more animalistic in some ways. While she is capable of regular speech, she doesn't speak much. She can growl and roar however, though its more of her natural nature of sorts. In combat, she is surprisingly calculative, being able to study her opponent and eventually find a weakness. Her endurance and stamina is also incredibly strong, allowing her to battle up to hours at a time. While usually being a lone wolf, it is very possible to team up with her, depending on the stances the character takes and/or if facing a common enemy.
Sacred Animal: Lizard
Powers:
Super-Strength: Gojira is strong... REALLY strong. She can lift heavy objects up to 10x her body weight and cause the ground to shake with one strong stomp. Her punches, if at maximum strength, can push a man back several feet. Her tail can also deal some serious damage.
Aquatic Abilities: Gojira is an excellent swimmer, being able to swim at a maximum of 15 knots (17 miles) per hour, and can stay submerged for 20 minutes at a time.
Atomic-Breath: Gojira's signature move, she can fire a ray of blue radioactive plasma, which can melt away steel walls if concentrated for around 10 seconds. If her power begins to overflow, or if a sudden adrenaline rush hits her, she can unleash a more powerful red version called the Spiral Beam, which can deal 3x the damage of her regular one.
Nuclear Pulse: Gojira can unleash a shockwave of energy within a 5 foot radius to knock opponents back.
Enhanced Regeneration Abilities: Gojira has a slightly enhanced regeneration ability that can heal minor wounds in about 1 hour depending on the damage. If more severe, it can take several more hours to even a day for some for it to heal.
Enhanced Senses: She also has enhanced smell and hearing, considering she being slightly more on the animalistic side.
Weapons: N/A
History: Originally created as a creation from Gaia, Gojira first found herself to have no father. It's been said that she was born in a small, primitive, tribe on an island near the Marshal Islands. However, she was born with the guidence of Gaia, who wanted her to gradually gain her powers of controlling nature and bringing balance to the world. She thought that the girl will bring peace and justice to the world, vanquishing all evils in the process.
However, that would all but change. On a stormy night, in the year of 1954, the girl was stranded on an island, with her boat already sunk beneath the waves. She waited the storm out in a make-shift shelter and planned to make another boat from the resources on the island and sail back to her tribe. Yet as she did so the next morning, she could suddenly see multiple huge ships in the distance, surrounding the patch of land. She thought that they will help her get off and so she tried to get their attention. Just then, she could hear the hum of a single plane flying over her. When she looked up, she sees a black round object falling towards her location. Little did she know, she was on the island of Bikini Atoll, where an American nuclear bomb test was being deployed!
And before she could realize what it was, it hit the island, causing a massive explosion in the process. The girl was severely injured, almost incinerated as her body was also irradiated with the radioactive "sperm" of the nuclear bomb. Gaia's creation had been tainted, or rather inseminated by the bomb. She couldn't get rid of such radiation, no matter how hard she could try. The radioactivity had infested her genes and was already mutating her into something monstrous. Whatever it was, however it came to be, Gaia can at least stop this mutation, and with all of her strength and magic, she was able to stop this vile transformation.
Yet the damage had already been done. Despite saving the beautiful face and body, maple-leaf like spines grew from her back, her teeth became ragged and sharp, and she even grew a charcoal-black tail. It even gave her animalistic qualities, however that came to be. She also gained new powers based off the radioactivity that she received, like a blue atomic breath, a significant regeneration feat, and more. She was turned into a "freak of nature" that Gaia now has to control. But the thing was, Gaia had no control over her anymore. Her animalistic qualities refused her own guidence. As revenge for making her become a freak-showed "monster", the girl invaded the nearest human civilization around... Japan. She was known to both the mortals and immortals as... "Gojira".
After such invasion, Gojira left and Gaia casted one last wish, one last omen, to make her own mark on the girl. While her creation could not be contained or guided by her anymore, she only requests one teachings of her to stick to Gojira. That teaching was of balance. She will protect planet Earth from any godly threats that happen to rear their ugly heads to destroy the world. Yet in times when man choose their own path of warfare, like that of nuclear warfare, she will be the one that will stop and punish them. This will be all under her own free will and it'll be her own ultimate decision to save humanity or to cast destruction against them.
Other: Rumors have it, that Gojira's power is actually not at her maximum potential. There is an inner beast inside of her, which if released, will turn her into a full monster, one of epic proportions and can rival that of a god's.
Other monsters have indeed tried to invade and destroy Earth, ranging from angry underground realms, to extraterrestrial terrors, yet have been defeated by Gojira herself.
