@Lmpkio The War of Immortals, or just 'the war', took place pre-Roleplay. The Merged rose up and deposed the old gods so they could come into power as the ruling pantheon. The Merged are a faction of immortals made up mostly of mixed blood, like Norse X Greek, along with others who joined them, many of which were born around the same time as the mixed Gods, or simply switched sides. Occus is an example of a mixed merge, son of Odin and Hecate. Rhona is more pure, both her parents Celtic, but she was not an original member of the pantheon either. Then there are those like Boreas, who is an old god that switched sides.
The Merged killed many of the old pantheons, sending them... to Tartarus? Is that what we decided on? I'm on mobile so it'd be awkward to check that, but I think that's right. Some were allowed to live though, given the chance to live alongside the Merged so long as they swore never to rise against them.
Not long ago the Merged faced their first crisis, and Humanity is still cleaning up the mess. A Human by the name of Sven created a zombie plague in South Africa, which spread to a major island of Indonesia and (with the help of an unknown God) to the American Midwest. The gods revealed themselves to the man to offer assistance but he claimed humanity didn't need gods and shortly after discovered the cure himself.
A month later Thalios awakens from a nightmare with knowledge of he future. The old gods were going to rise from the dead and wage war on the Merged. Occus had similar visions reported to him be the Fae, who are magical and fall under his sphere as God of the supernatural, of his slain mother cradling his own corpse. At this time an event happened among the mortals once more, the arrival of a peaceful alien space center over earth and their contacting of the UN. This prompted the gods to meet once more. The issue of the aliens was largely dismissed, with Rhona taking the blame should the aliens betray them for reasons, and the matter of the rising gods was brought to everyone's attention. The council has decided everyone is to prepare for war, several have paired off, others have gone about their business, and in the meantime Occus was slain to no ones notice. Yet.
That's pretty much where we are now, sorry if that's unhelpful, I'm really tired.
