His second wife saved her son from a beating, but she got a heated fireplace poker to her ass and then dragged her to the bedroom for sex. He's kinda extremely controlling so you'd have to justify why she doesn't get treatment similar to her other family members. He also finds women to be incompetent in most things. He would prefer a son over a daughter. So you got a lot of thinking to do to work around him.
In terms of specialization. Alchemy is more of a trade than anything else. Ravnos House are more likely to study it because he has the resources and they're the house of knowledge. Look at the other houses more by their values. Grangrel has a major hold on the black market (and political intrigue), but it isn't too far to say that his people are more likely going to kill without second thought. I do need you to justify how you know some of the whereabouts of the Nests. Since they're extremely hard to find. Or if not in a nest, how does your character get an Aspirant to reveal he is from a certain house? They pledge secrecy, so they aren't that dumb to reveal their Houses secrets.
Ventrue has resources on the docks. Ships and dockworkers. They're more likely to travel for adventure. Survivalist, travelers, Rangers, scouts, good physical fighters. He is also the blood brother of Vlad Tepes, so there's that. He is the sea and has military intrigue.
Ravnos is knowledge in general. And it doesn't have to be just alchemy. You can have someone who seeks worldly knowledge, therefore also wanting to travel and have adventure. Houses can cross in terms of values, but predominately your character holds a major similarity to the house. For example, my character is a mad scientist type. Her practices and actions (which would fit Grangrel) might be unethical but she still seeks knowledge. She also has extreme allure which would make people assume she's from Malkavian, the house about love! Actually appearance wise and personality wise, people would have no clue she is the smart type. Ravnos has influece over the academies and medical institutions. Obviously, he has intrigue in education.
Malkavian like I said is the house of Allure and seduction. They are extremely good at the art of manipulation, but they would not kill unless they truly have to. They prefer animal blood or drinking blood from a human without killing them. The kinder house but still a little messed up since they're more likely for incest...(they live in a Church xD). His resources is the Church. People of the Church. The Church wrangles the underworld.
Granted all the Elders besides Ravnos has...female problems. Ventrue likes butts so he slaps all his ladies butts. Amaury is pure abuse. He'll rape your character xD. Malkavian is a romantic. Heartbroken from his fiance being stolen from him. But he can't deny he loves wooing ladies. He's more like a incredible flirt xD. Level over 9000.
Ravnos only cares about knowledge. He won't get turned on by your ways!
