"Right, right, DESTROY my courtyard! It is not YOUR mana that is being wasted, after all. A crater here, a crater there, what difference does it make if you don't have to fix them? I was also caring for some cute little flowers in that same spot you fell on, just to let you know. When I get that spot fixed, YOU will be the one watering them, just let me tell you."

Maybe Sorcha will notice the thunderbird and have a discussion XD
Sorry, but I do have a life!
...kinda~ xD
And ahaha. That's what I was thinking. She'd definitely not like some upstart brat taking her turf. That said, I don't want to really start anything else at the moment xD
Need to focus on that collab with Lyssa. Not at home right now, so that'll still have to wait.
Indeed I do live. Living is useful, and I'm sure Mister Wick agrees with me. However before I can do anything I've got thirty pages of OOC to read, and likely just as much IC to read. And some Character Sheets as well it seems. Just about completed reading everything for my other forum RPs though so I just spend time on this one.
Anyways, lots of reading to do if you don't mind friends.
Oh no, I've been stuck without internet for too long. Granted it's given me a chance to catch up on some Anime, but I been without you bunch for too long now. I am going to read all the ooc, then I'm reading the ic, then I'm going on peggo.net and getting some music from celtic storm, then I'm going to go catch up on my youtube, see how the Enderborn has been doing in Westeros. Then I'll come back and see what's changed, then I'll do more youtube, and if I have any sense I might be in bed before midnight. But I don't consider myself a very sensible person, more so after watch an entire season of Fairy Tail in two days.
Have at you.
No idea why I said that, but I had to. Now then, I have some reading to do. And if someone hasn't yet, make Arthur Wick a very fancy banner please, I'll have need for it soon.
Stronger Than You actually nerfs him to only being marginally stronger than anyone who's weaker than him, and doesn't increase his strength against those that are stronger than him. XD
And yes, all those who don't have destructive magic will have difficulty in facing him. Doesn't seem to be much of a problem when most CSes say something along the lines of... Strengths: Their destructive magic is super powerful! Weaknesses: They don't have any defensive or supportive magics!
Gigalomania literally only works when the GMs want it to, but I suppose you wouldn't know about that factor because it was in the PM discussions I had with Grafroy.
@Iatos We actually discussed this for a while (several hours yesterday), but if you actually read his powers there's something we added there. (We did try to get him to be a teacher, but he wanted to be a familiar)
The amount of physical strength Arata is allowed to wield takes into consideration magical power as well, and, when fighting against a group of enemies, takes the strongest of the group as the ‘limitor’.
That's a major weakness. That means that if you get 2 people of relatively equal strength (Sorcha and Iravis, for example) then the fight will be an easy win. Especially if you take 'weaker' people to fight him (Charlotte and Neko, I sorta imagine it being a slappy fist fight like in the movies), then bring in the stronger ones when he's wounded. In anything but a one-on-one fight, he will lose. If you got 5 people of the same skill he stands literally no chance even if they are three year olds.
We've also discussed this, but most of the familiars would likely have some degree resistance to mind altering affects due to their inhuman nature. For example, Shikio might hear things that would make a visual illusion obviously false. A mental one would be difficult to construct for such a dissimilar mind. So in essence, he just has a better version of that.
The weakness of familiars is that there strength may be utterly reliant on their surroundings. Throw Iravis in water, she's pretty much going to panic and die. Play a loud noise, and she'll be in pain. Do the same to a magician with the same skill and they just turn it off. Perhaps if you found some holy water or a holy religious symbol in Japan intended to ward off this familiar, then you might see an advantage.
EDIT: And lastly, while combat does exist in this the point of it is to have FUN. I personally (not speaking for Graf here) believe the major purpose of struggle is to provide insight to character. How did the members of the closet react to their bloody victory? Why doesn't Meriun care that more ventilation is in the room, and wants to sleep so much? Why does the Runik run off and train after a fight?
If people start acting up with their powers or becoming the cheesy shonen hero when uncalled for, then me and Graf will make them Kiss XD
EDIT 2: @neogreggory Just go for the IC. There's a lot of good stuff in there. But here's the run down.
Sorcha is moving towards the city area, but probably won't join the fight.
That is it.
Also @Liferusher's neko is in a crate in a bush somewhere.
In the City/Mall, there is an event occurring, with most of the characters gathered in a small coffee shop. Lin is thinking of summoning his familiar there.
Meruin, Runik, Lyssa, Iravis, Alucard, Zan
In front of the cafeteria, Sorcha is making her introduction and about to fight Edgar. Sorcha awkwardly hugged Edgar. Lin is thinking of summoning his familiar here.
Gall, Livia, Lin, Edgar
In the teachers lounge, Alistar is interrogating Julian. If you got a teacher, this would be a good spot to put them.
@RinNekoSan@sakurasan This would be a good time to enter. Also, I think a neko would be a familiar, not a mage. Ask Graf about that.
Who amongst the students would be flat-out stronger than Arata (as in, he can use his full strength against them)? Cause you used your example of Sorcha and Iravis double-teaming him, but I was under the impression that an ancient dragon capable of going hypersonic was already enough to warrant the self-inflicted curse not actually activating?
While I'm at it, physically, where are most mages at? Like, are they basically still on par with normal humans, outside of having magical capabilities? Or has the usage of magic made them superhuman in various areas, such as reaction speed and all?
Hello, I'm back, and let me illuminate you in regards to this.
Most if not all students here (as far as I can see it) are of relatively average physical strength.
In all honesty, I think most people in here could also win against Arata cause, let's be honest, I doubt he is the brightest.
Arata's curse only takes into account two factors. Physical strength and magical prowess. This completely rules out intelligence, tactic skills and so on.
A brute with extreme force is dangerous, yes, but an intelligent and resourceful man is even more so. Using magic against Arata might be a bad idea due to his properties, but that means as long as it is not a purely destructive one. What ahppens when someone like Lin, who is average in strength but trained in martial arts, goes on to hit Arata with his Naturalis magic enhanced with steel? I'm plenty sure Arata would be damaged.
Also, other types of magic can also be bad for Arata. Let's say he gets trapped in Quantus' time magic. Only his willforce will be able to get him out of there, and that won't work unless we GM's approve of it.
All in all, Arata went through various revisions and I discussed it with Anubis a while. The finished product is someone that can go on par with most students, though I'm plenty sure the teachers could handle him with little to no problem.
So, yes, we deemed this Arata to be nerfed enough and is which why we accepted him, just to make matters clear.
Hmm... I think I found the best way to return Arthur to the RP. It is a good thing the medics are so good at this school.
Hmm...
Graf, do you think the nurses would allow Arthur to go back to his appartment the moment he could stand or would they tell/force him to stay in the infirmary and get better.
