I'll try and get a post up this evening with Alyssa's thoughts on what's going on. My thinking was that she missed out on the sortie due to her FRAME having a maintenance problem of some kind meaning it was non-operational.

Entirely unrelated to any current discussion, but this is the sort of firepower and intensity I imagine us putting downrange, times four.

It's a part of the experimental modifications she received as a child. Essentially she can send and receive messages in her head. It could come up as a voice message or a text message depending on how she chooses to receive it.

Hope I'm not going too fast; anyone can reference past dialogue/info in their posts. Breaks in time can be separated by the hr tags.

You can respond to the Q&A and everything that's happened in the briefing, and are also free to jump forward to the voyage to the Fort.

It's like a text-messege in Skype over your PADD.

Fun note: viz-camo or no, it's pretty easy to tell when a bazooka is fired.
-Or in our case, when one is NOT fired.

BTW: I'm assuming Kat did NOT key her screaming through the radio, pretty sure people in combat don't key-in the mic just to scream.
-Since the scream was apparently only heard/mentioned by one person.

I had something written up about Max's thoughts on the stuff Kat and others said, but I figured I'd save that for a future post. Focusing on him being suspicious seemed to fit the scene better.

EDIT: BTW, those are the only questions I can foresee Maxwell wanting answered right now, even after he gets this set answered.

I feel dumb now. I need to go back and edit, don't I?

I've added two FRAMEs to the available list: the MS-30 Fenghuang FR Type and the MHA-16 Leopard. One's a high-mobility force recon/frontliner, and the other is a superheavy fire support platform. You're free to stay with the FRAMEs you've got; especially if it's a Kirin, but these are available once we hit our new base of operations.
(and they might not be a bad idea if your FRAME is held together with ductape)

As usual, you can change your weapon loadouts and create role-specific subsystems. Just thought I'd give you a sneak-peek of the cool stuff ahead.

I might have Maxwell take one of the new models. They're neat to say the least.

I'm also tempted (once Nevix is around again) to have Maxwell talk to Oliver about whether or not he can check out these FRAMEs to make sure there's nothing fishy about them, like a killswitch or something, because this is all incredibly suspicious to Mr. Silver.

EDIT: Also, yeah, since you said Kat's scream wouldn't have been audible, @Dark Light, I'm gonna edit out Max hearing the scream when I get back. I don't know what went through my head when I wrote that. I must have been in a daze.

Err, actually, that was Foster. WOULD your character have been audible or nah, Dark Light?

I'd change mine, but I don't really like the design of either of them much, so... ^^;;

I REALLY like the first one, myself. It's even got comparable speed/maneuverability to Max's current FRAME. It's deciding what weapon to get rid of that's hard, and whether two ECM suites (or an ECM suite and something else) is worth the trade... but then again, JUMP JETS.

JUMP JETS WITH A FLAMETHROWER AND A SHIELD

The XCD sure does tend towards round, bulbous designs. The SL, NSU, and the "Euro" governments tend towards more boxy, angular FRAMEs.

@Shorticusif for story reason you wanted to hear it, there could have been an accidental open link between our PADDs or something, but it wouldn't have been over the main open comm's.

Is that aimed at my jumble up?
(I didn't know about the PADD's till recently.)
Yea I got a bit confused but if you want Kat to do something similar I can add it back in and change the wording.

The only story reason would be to not have to change my post. *Clears throat*

I'll go ahead and edit my post some time today or tomorrow. Assume he didn't hear her scream, but instead realized "hey, that guy isn't being exploded, what's up with that?"

Marlene is going to give her a "special" project.

It'll involve doing something to Snow Leopard while Kat is distracted.

>Rounds-up a wheelbarrow full of "distractions" while whistling a totally innocent tune

>Invites @Massasauga

Sarah still collects 20th century electronics, right?
