Hey, sorry about the totally shitty-ass communication on my end here guys, I kind of came to the realization that I never really explained what I was going to do with this, so I'll kind of fill in the blanks best I can.
I've been kind of in a bad place in my personal life lately where the last thing I want to or am capable of doing is spending a lot of time plotting out RP stuff and manage everything like I normally would, so I've kind of come up with the bare essentials for this whole mission. You guys have proven yourselves to be really good at being self-sustaining and capable of coming up with NPCs and minor plotlines, so I figured you guys could have a field day treating this whole thing as a personal playground of creativity where I'm just along for the ride with you guys and writing out reactions and situations in accordance to what the characters do, based off the simple premise of the mission: Offload the tracked weaponry and find a way to sabotage the camp.
Honestly, it's always been my goal with these games ever since the very first incarnation of Nova that I took part in back in like 2012 called Mass Effect Surge, where the GM vanished on us, that I could manage to have a group RP that can operate without a GM dictating everything, instead having a big collaborative effort. That game managed to go for an entire month, and we finished off the mission without the GM's presence, and it was all from individual player input. I didn't want to let that idea die, and so I've tried periodically since to see if lightning can strike twice.
Thing is, to get to that point, I had to find a group that would stay dedicated and prove to be pretty self-sufficient without me hand holding, and you guys really have proven yourselves. I honestly feel like I could disappear for a month (and no, I'm not, just illustrating the point) and you guys would find a way to keep this running just fine. I needed to keep the first mission pretty linear and in accordance to what I usually do for the early stages of an RP, where we're filtering out players and getting everyone to mesh in a pretty controlled fashion.
Now that we're several months in and have a core group, I kind of want to try and see what happens when I set you all loose, where you can all add your ideas and build off each's other's efforts. It's kind of exciting, and it's like I said from the beginning: I want this to be a collaborative RP, that's as much your baby as it is mine. I of course still would like to be kept in the loop for some big ideas that might keep up, but for now, until I figure shit out on my own end, I want to step back and let you guys go nuts and help you all mesh this all together.
Worse comes to worse, it might turn out disastrous and be totally disjointed and unproductive, but that's the joy of a side mission like this; it lets us experiment.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get working on a post with Fallen. :)
