Softly Nirayane played on her verdant sprite ocarina while resting atop one of the many tall trees that bristled above the bustling, cobblestone streets of the capital, soon to settle with the dying sun nestling herself behind the high hills of the west, casting lovely, warm shades of pinks, reds, and oranges across the ever darkening sky fading into a calm and serene evening. Her eyes were closed as the peaceful melody she composed upon the quaint, little instrument lulled her into a deep, almost ephemeral trance, a trance unfortunately she broke from when she heard voices nearby.
Her amethyst eyes fluttered open, catching sight of the adventurers, quite a few of them female...cute females at that. But where were they off to she wondered. Perhaps she would find out for her own.
Twas then the Elven huntress leapt from her high perch atop the larch and with utmost grace landed on both feet safe and secure upon the sprawling rooftops of the city. With the velocity of a maelstrom, she darted across the terra-cotta plated roofs, trying her best to keep pace with the group, all the while making certain she wasn't spotted by them.
She followed them as best she could, until they had arrived at the gates of....the grand palace.
So these are the emperor's new lapdogs, eh? She mused eyeing the adventurers with relish as they disappeared behind gates and guards.
Hmph, surely they must be somewhat important, which means they're probably swimming in gold! Those pesky guards, she had to get rid of them first.
Nirayane produced from her leather quiver a few arrows, blunt at the tip, but that was the rule, no killing, no bloodshed...at least not now, and though Nira went along with it, she only wished next time her steel arrowheads could taste fresh blood. However, though blunt as an ancient, rusty parring knife, the arrow could still do quite a bit of damage, just if the elf knew where to aim.
She singled out two of the guards standing firm and resolute at the doorway, their swords and their spades glinting dangerous, but with two swift arrows delivered with the wind of Veralyn at their backs, the men dropped, not dead no, out cold as Nirayane heard the satisfying *ding* of her arrows striking their helms something fierce and rattling their brains. She had done so with the next batch of guardsmen before making her way towards the next row of houses with a swift leap across the alleyway and a somersault onto the ground, standing before the gates of the grand palace.
Wasting no time, she rushed inside quickly before the guards were sure to awake from their blunt stupor, but slowed to a creeping pace as she stalked through the halls...quietly drawing her sharp dagger.
She found them again, only this time the emperor spoke to them, something about a dungeon, gold, monsters, and the fate of the kingdom...other stuff she didn't pay attention to.
And then...that's when she saw...her, the silver haired girl
@Lunar. That gigantic sword on her back was less intimidating and more amusing, a smirk crossing the elven girl's lips. Such a cumbersome and heavy weapon for such a petite and....definitely attractive girl. She would be her first target.
Gracefully, slowly...like the predator she was stalking her chosen prey, Nirayane crept towards the group. Then...once she was within hair's breadth of the silver haired beauty, she struck, leaping high into the air and raising her dagger high over her head for a fatal death blow.
