@TimeMasterX There's something to be said for delayed gratification. Or so I hear from people that have far more self control than I do.

Or just less free time haha

Big Superman fan (he's my favorite hero and Kara/Supergirl is my favorite sidekick) here and I'd have to agree with Eddie. The entire second half of the film is a mess and it has a lot of problems I don't really want to get into. But yeah, we shouldn't really amount another person's passionate opinion to being just following the internet hate machine or whatever you want to call it. We're all adults here.

The fact that you had to non sequitur back to the killing issue just proves that there's no argument against my second point. MoS Superman doesn't prevent one iota of collateral damage because the writers chose to ignore it.

But I'll humor you. At what point did I say no superheroes could ever kill? I didn't. I said Superman shouldn't ever kill. In no way does that ever translate to the Avengers. Steve Rogers is a soldier. Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton are assassins. Thor is a warrior. They all have killed in the past, so it's natural that they'll use that option when facing an invading army. Superman doesn't kill. Outside of a few rare examples in 75+ years of comics, it's just not a part of his character.

Saying Superman doesn't kill because it isn't in his character and then admitting that he has on a few rare occasions is contradicting your own argument. Why not count Zod as a rare Occasion? Supes has killed Doomsday multiple at least twice that I know of because he had no other option. And saying that it is okay for some and not for the others is the same double standard you are using to attack this movie. If Cap can kill, Supes can blow up a building. (Which he never actually did.)

But let's address the collateral damage issue since you want to continue this discussion. Most of it was caused by the world engine. All of it was caused by the villains, because they are villains. It is not Superman's fault that he couldn't stop every building from exploding. Could the writers have toned it down? Yeah sure, but Superman is literally the most powerful being on Earth and he is fighting someone with the exact same power level, realistically if beings like these were to fight shit would blow up. Just because Marvel isn't willing to blow up a few buildings during a full blown alien invasion doesn't mean DC has to hold back. Superman can move freaking planets, if someone just as powerful as him goes to earth with the intention of destroying it there is going to be damage, damage that Superman isn't going to be able to stop while being punched in the face non stop.

@TimeMasterX One day I hope to find out.

@Lord Wraith We get it, Wraith, you're married. Jesus christ, man. If you love your wife so much why don't you go and marry her?

Wait, that... that doesn't... work...

Right then everyone, depending on my ability to get to sleep tonight, this is goodnight from me tonight.

Everyone's all talking about the power levels of Superman and other Kryptonians but I think we can all agree that there's someone even Superman can't touch...

Who needs Kryptonite???

Furthermore, please don't suggest that I'm just some shill incapable of forming my own opinion. I dislike MoS for my own reasons, which as you can see are quite important to me.

Did I say that? That was unintentional and not how that was supposed to be taken at all. My apologies. Seriously, never meant to offend you. I was just trying to say that we are probably not going to change each other's minds here so maybe we should change the subject.

Seriously though, never wanted to offend. You are probably one of my favorite other players on this game right now.

@Lord Wraith Scans or it didn't happen.

And yes, I think @Vandy is probably right that our several years late debate about Man of Steel probably ought to come to an end. If only because we're only going to end up going round and round in circles. Plus it's probably crazy boring to read for the people that haven't seen Man of Steel.

No offense taken, man. I've said my fair share of things in the heat of arguments that didn't come out right, so I get it. (I'm still gonna have Spider-Man grill Ol' Cueball mercilessly in his inner monologue, though. )

EDIT: On the bright side, the debate helped us shed a few more OOC pages. People who pop in and out are gonna see how much they missed and be like...

We're all adults here.

According to the state of Indiana I have no rights and don't have the ability to press charges against someone if they strange me because I am legally not an adult. It is up to my parents and, [Sarcasm]completely hypothetically[/Sarcasm], if they refuse I just have to deal with it.

I agree with the sentence in principle though

As long as debates/arguments don't bleed into the IC or causes players to drop I imagine its not really a big problem or an unwelcome side attraction. Plus, I stand by the "a lively/active OOC translates to a healthy IC" notion.

This is where I roll my eyes and laugh.

Most of us are adults here.

Better?

Good news is, Twenty One Pilots are very good in concert and screaming their lyrics is a very good way to wind down.

Bad news is, extrapolating tonight and the last couple days (and the next few) to the next couple weeks is making my work schedule look like holding up a social life, a girlfriend, and time to read and write all at the same time, very difficult. So I'd like to relinquish Harvey Dent back to the mass populace and no, you can't use my sheet find your own.

I'm holding on to Daredevil, though. Very tightly. And I'm sure you'll see me serving up smiles in the future when I get some 'fre tiem'.

Did I spell that right? I'm not sure what it is.

Edit: Daredevil issue#2 is currently in the works, though. Tentative release date tomorrow evening after work.

Outside of stressed out, I have yet to find any songs by them I like. I know this thread has already been derailed enough, but what are your highest recommendations for their songs?

According to the state of Indiana...

Well, there's your problem. I lived in Indiana for four years. Those people be crazy. Also, they produced MB, so you know something's not right with that place. #HypeReferences

On a totally unrelated note, are people all good with the way I'm posting IC? With the comic panels illustrating sections of the post? Let me know if it's getting on anyone's nerves. I meant to ask earlier haha.

I think I've complained about my upbringing enough in these OOCs, but I agree. People here suck.

Curiously, did you ever hang out with that Mod in person? #HypeReferences

@TimeMasterX I'm fond of using pictures in my posts, especially since mine tend to be a little wordy from time to time, so I don't have a problem with it.
