-ignore, i did not post my post here by accident-

You totally did, but I wasn't here to catch you out like last time.

Also I've told @Morden Man but I'll throw it here incase there are any Colossus fans (Heh). I do have arcs in mind for him, but I want to say that they will all be tweaked slightly more than simply being in a DC/Marvel verse. I also need to tweak them due to the fact the Cold War is over as is the USSR (Which obviously plays a part in most of his solo original arcs, being written when the USSR and the Cold War was a thing).

It makes it a bit challenging to write some of his fun arcs, but I feel like I'm up to it.

I would, but I'd rather just share this:

You gotta hand it to Blake Neely. I like the Marvel shows (Especially the Netflix as Marvel lets them go darker), but the DC ones will always win out purely for the soundtrack. I suppose even Super-Girl. Though that's only due to obligatory mention.

I do have such a fondness for the marvel/netflix themes though. Talk about summing up a character in one song.

Yeah I'll admit they're great. THAT Daredevil intro, is just sooo good. I think the difference is Marvel does it's character themes but music doesn't play as big a part of the episode, at least that's how I view it. Whereas Musics a really big part of the Marvel shows, except for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and it's not as definitive (but still certifiably awesome).

Now.

Time for the real question

Which Kingpin? I gotta go and say, while I loved the Netflix series of Daredevil. Kingpin just didn't seem right to me, whereas the 2003 incarnation nailed it. Also went to prove that when casting you can venture from the source material a bit, and doing so will wield some amazing results. As a kid, the Kingpin from the movie scared the bejeebus outta me. Just so... threatening and calculating.

The one from Netflix well, I won't go into more just encase someone hasn't seen it yet.

Vincent D'Onofrio every single time. I can understand the appeal of Michael Duncan Clarke's Kingpin but I think when you hold it up to D'Onofrio's Kingpin there's a pretty clear lack of nuance there. He's like a caricature of Kingpin whereas Netflix Kingpin is almost believable. His desire to transform Hell's Kitchen into a better place leads him to commit terrible crimes that are (at least in his mind) both necessary and justifiable.

Plus his relationship with Vanessa is amazing.

@Morden Man true, in the Netflix series he's much more of a real person. I am willing to redact my statement I must say, as I feel when he resurfaces again he's likely to be very different.

That said, while I do think Clarke's Kingpin is amazing and terrifying I personally feel he wouldn't hold up in a TV series and that D'Onofrio was the right choice. I don't think Clarke in a TV show scenario could do all the filler quite as well as D'Onofrio can, so it's probably a bit unfair to compare the two.

Who do you guys think is the best choice to succeed the Batman in a Knightfall/Final Crisis style scenario in this game, where the Batman is deceased or otherwise pacified? I think a good exercise is to imagine some possibilities to encourage creativity and analysis. Feel free to counter my ideas.

Matt Murdock already holds a lot of resemblance to the Dark Knight. Territorialism, tragedy, ninjustsu, brooding, and a slew of psychologically warped opponents. His ability to echolocate makes him a standout choice for a successor to the Batman, though. Imagine a Batman with the actual abilities of a bat. Daredevil taking an upgrade with the wingsuits might even improve his mobility.

I feel like I should get a prize for being the one person brave enough to put up short posts.

Anyways, Cap's first arc is now rolling. :D I cannot say how long it might take because I'm gonna drag some of you lovely people into it. Mwahaha.
