Downtown Halcyon City, 5:48 PM
City Hall.
Sunny, with a few wispy clouds.
Nothing appeared to be unusual.

Then the various people ran toward each other, all aiming to kill each other. At least, that's how it appeared at first. But then, once you eight arrived, in your first major incident, it was clear the people had no desire to kill each other. From the looks on their faces, they had no desires at all. They had, at that point, all huddled in a ring, tightly weaving their arms and legs together in so many different configurations.

In the center of the ring, a girl no older than anyone in the team. She was easily familiar to Argon: Radon. She has her legs crossed, sitting on a landing in the middle of the steps to the Hall, a smile on her face.

She has those in front of her lower themselves enough for her to be scene. "Argon~" she says in a sing-song voice, "We're here for you. I won't lie, Xenon wants you back even more than I do."

Then Xenon chooses to show himself, with a loud BAMF, appearing mid-uppercut below Argon, finishing the uppercut and poofing away, back to Radon. He says nothing, but he has a thin sheen of sweat over some of his face which he wipes off with the sleeve of his NOBLE jumpsuit.

Radon continues to speak. "You come back with us, o Argon, o my great brother, I let Xenon kill them peacefully. You don't, I let them run around killing people. Either way, they're just being normal humans, right? Not like us." The side of her face spasms as she talks, and the people surrounding her part, dragging each other across the ground with no regard. Amidst the crowd, you all catch a glimpse of the mayor and a a few visiting senators and representatives before others in the crowd cover them.

What do all of you do?

Kiante Moore: The Crimson Jackal

When Kiante arrived on the scene, he was already a bit annoyed by the call to action, as he was in the middle of his favorite show(criminals always had the worst timing, damn troglodytes), but as they arrived on the scene to here the gypical bad guy spiel, with BS threats and blatant posturing, he felt his annoyance cross the boundary into anger, cause not only was he missiing his show, but he was missing it for bottom of the barrel garbage like these idiots. And of course, seeing how idiocy tends to run through a family, they were related to their own dumb meathead, Argon, with equally shit codenames as well to boot. I'm not dealing with this BS right now, so I'm going to finish this now beforr it becomes a long drawn out cluster-fuck.

With a sigh, Kiante cracked his neck, looking a bit out of place amongst his costumed compatriots, with his finr black leather jacket, stylish yet functional jeans with a black and red lining, some nice black shoes, and a pendant around his neck of the god his powrs emulated, Set. However, as he stepped out infront of them, one would notice that the air around the young black teen was starting to pulse with energy as he muttered low phrases to himself, finally, when he was but a few feet in front of the crowd of zombies who'd gotten mind comtrol by the crazy Radon bitch, he began the combat with a rather stunning display, giving them only a single sentence as he did so.

"You're both annoying, so plezse be smart and don't didge this. If you do, it'll only get worse for you. Much. much worse."

First, he'd stretch his hand out, making a 'come over here' motion with his fingers, a very unsetteling smile forming on his face as he did so. This was cause they wouldn't have a choice, as he would cast a spell with a snap of hus fingers, causing a whirlwind of red sand to suddenly engulf the two villains, spinning them around for a bit as it quickly rose into the sky before slamming down next to him, depositing the two tight next to him, where he intended to take them down in one attack. Charging up all of his magic energy inside of him, Kiante would speak a word in the ancient tonque of the dessert, thrusting his hand in the direction of his foes. A large crimson hieroglyph would burn itself into existance, cracklung with red lightning as it suddenly took on an intense glow, before blasting out two streams of red sand and crimson lightning into them. He'd grit his teeth with effort as he'd try and control the destructive blast so that it wouldn't hurt any of the brain-washed citizens or officials . . . at least, as much as was possible.

Rolled for charge, got a six(5+1), which plus freak is an eight.

Marked the Angry condition

Collected 3 burn

Spent one burn to juggle Radon and Xenon right next to Kiante

Spent 2 Burn to use Reality Storm to directly engage with no collateral damage.

Rolled a (4+1)5 to hit, which became a 7 with the Freak Bonus.

Kiante is not in the mood for this, he was trying to get his GOT on. You don't mess with him when he's watching GOT.

Hit hard by the blasts of arcane sand, Xenon and Radon are pushed back a little. The wall of people around them closes in, with whichever people have their feet on the ground running in full sprints, until it appears as just a pile of bodies around Radon; Xenon teleported out before it could completely close. He briefly appears on the mound, grabbing two people before teleporting away, throwing them from the sky a short distance above Kiante, before teleporting back by the mound with a feral look on his face, and sweat now pouring from his body.

EDIT: It's clear that Xenon is off balance and quite weakened now, but could easily regain his strength and balance.

This was supposed to be a standard hostage situation, nothing the team couldn't handle. As soon as they arrived, however, it became quickly apparent that this was anything but routine. For one thing, the hostages appeared to be in some kind of mind control. Secondly, the suspects made it abundantly clear that they were really after Argon and nothing else, so it seemed. One of them made the first move, managing to teleport themselves into an uppercut against Argon. It was a move Falcon could see coming easily enough, and one that he would have been able to interrupt or block for Argon, if not for one thing: the hostages. There was just no telling what would happen to them if anyone made the wrong move, and so Falcon chose caution for the time being. Unfortunately, his "brother" evidently didn't see things that way and immediately went on the attack.

"Idiot! You're gonna get someone killed!" Falcon protested, but of course it would fall on deaf ears. Kiante did what he pleased, and once he decided he was going to do something there was no stopping him. Only thing to do now was to deal with the consequences and hope for the best. Kiante's attack appeared to have some effect, but it wasn't enough to stop the suspects entirely. One of them teleported into the air with two hostages and flung them like projectiles, "Not today, scumbag!" Falcon had seen enough, it was time to take action. His first instinct was to take flight directly above the team and save the two hostages Xenon threw. In a perfect world Falcon might have tried to hit Xenon as well, but with two civvies in immediate danger there simply wasn't enough time, and the hostages' safety took priority.

Memory wasn't angry about being called into action. Quite the contrary, actually. She was glad. Her entire morning had been spent lying in her bed, listening to music that some would describe as melancholic and bittersweet, but it tended to sooth her worried thoughts. While she loved her music, listening to it wasn't exactly an activity she could do all day. She got more excited to hear that her team would be working with Halcyon City's other crime fighting team. They could be refered to as rival teams, but when they were put together things tended to get intense pretty quickly. The two teams had caught word of trouble at the Town Hall, so they naturally went. Once they entered, they were greeted by an odd sight: two villain types and many civilians, seeming to be under some sort of mind control. As the two spoke, Memory glanced nervously at Argon. If they indeed were there for him, then this was not a battle that they could not lose. He was an essential part of the team, but also a friend. Her silver eyes were suddenly taken off the boy and redirected towards Kiante as the boy launched his magical sediment towards their enemies. It was a careless action, but it appeared to have done some damage. Next, Falcon flew up and saved the two people who had been thrown by their assailants. She smiled a small smile, thinking how well these simple actions described them. Kiante, The Crimson Jackal, the impulsive hothead, and Max, The Red Falcon, protector of people. Memory herself wasn't so intent on jumping into the action. Instead, she walked back a few steps and scanned her surroundings, assessing the situation. She wasn't the most observant, but someone had to do it, and she appears to be the only one calm enough to do so.

'This is all my fault'

That was the most prominent thought in Argon's mind; that he could have avoided this. While he had never know just what happened to the others when he had escaped, he had always assumed that they had gotten away. 'But it looks like that didn't happen.' His attention was quickly drawn to Xenon, who teleported under him and hit Argon with an uppercut "Gah!" Argon cried out, more out of surprise then pain. 'Xenon...I remember him; teleportation and telekinesis. But unless he's started working out, he doesn't have the physical strength to do more than bug me. If he want's to hurt me, then he's going to need to throw something bigger at me' as he got back up from the ground, he way Xenon in mid air, holding two people with his telekinesis '...well shit...' but before he could do anything, Falcon rushed in to save them, once Xenon had thrown them. Confident that he could leave them to Falcon, he confronted Radon and Xenon. "But, how...why? Didn't everyone get away when I was rampaging through the base!? Someone activated the self-destruct, wasn't that Krypton? He was always a lot more tech savvy then the rest of us. So why are you two still working for NOBLE?" It was then that a horrifying thought came to Argon's mind "no...they fixed the machine!? No, that's impossible, I left that thing less then scrap. I was very through when I destroyed it. So, does that mean that they replaced it!?"
