For Grant, the Typical-Drill Sergeant is out of the window. Yes, he's the one of the more Experienced Soldiers amongst the earlier groups of the Spartan III programme, but that doesn't stop someone from having their own individuality. Unlike some of the surviving Spartan IIs, Grant has had character alongside him throughout his career. Like most Soldiers, death is something that comes and goes. It does rip him apart on the inside, but it is something he has been known for trying to remove as a threat to his performance. Nevertheless, it has, on some occasions, set the man back a few paces in the line of Combat. This is what has held him back from any further promotions thus far. Not considering himself to be Charismatic, or anything along those lines, he tends to try and remain at a smaller Sociable line with the newer or more confident Spartans. In this way, he only actually enjoys socialising with those who work alongside him more overtime.
One might take notice of his high respect for Soldiers of lesser rank. Whether they are brave, strong, or even weak, frightened and prone to accidents, each one deserves respect in his eyes. This definitely is headed towards the Spartans lower than him. The respect has mainly been forged around the activity within Fireteam Chariot, as many Spartans have been in this group. Sometimes, his respect and care for the lesser experienced has put his own life on the line, admitting in interviews that some actions he's committed were in favour of his comrade's safety, disregarding his own. He, however, does fear certain scenarios, which has shown to be a rather odd concept for a Brave Spartan. Developing more over his career, with the resulting deaths and replacements of his Fireteam, this fear also contributes to certain flaws in his Combat effectiveness. As other previous Spartans have raised the concerns to ONI command, they have denied any forms of punishing the Soldier, due to his contributions not involving this issue.

>Armour Enhancements
MKII Enhanced Drop Shield [Moderately higher Damage Resistance, with a metre wider Radius.]
An individual Male A.I. System that has been in use for 4 Years, not yet reaching the age of Rampancy. Created during the VICTOR INCIDENT, as by coincidentally named, it has only thus far served Grant-G419, being his replacement from Cario, a previous female A.I. Construct captured and dismantled during the VICTOR INCIDENT. Used for Information Gathering, analysis and Battlefield Assistance, He's proven to be most useful to the user.
>Positive Traits
A Decent marksman, for Mid-to Long ranged encounters [Not within Sniper Rifle Range], with an ability to manage CQC Scenarios as a side track. Good for working alongside, disciplined and true to good Comrades, he's not the worst to come across when in a Near-Death Scenario.
>Negative Traits
There are possible Emotional attachments that he can develop with comrades, even one's that are just working alongside him during a single Operation. This reduces his activity in most Socialising Tests during training and Off-Field scenes, sometimes hindering the communication with team-mates. Getting too close to Grant, if a fellow Spartan, can be rather easy, and can change feelings drastically. Self-Esteem has sometimes come across as an issue, though is rare on most occasions.
>General Likes:
Musical Engagements, planning ahead and a reduction of casualties would make a high Like-Rating for the man. Other things such as the smaller aspects like Humming, and relaxing sessions can also get to the Man's approval, making him one of the less interesting personalities. For a greater like, he particularly enjoys his Comrades, if they are the likeable type, and what there is to know about them.
>General Dislikes/Fears
Stereotypically, losing someone to combat is a hateful crime to anyone's life. To Grant, losing a Comrade is just as bad as Losing a Friend. The term Cannon-Fodder, sometimes used describe UNSC Marines, extremely irritates the soldier. For a more general perspective, he fears the outcome of the Human-Covenant War, and sometimes even the Forerunner Constructs that have been proven deadly or unknown. He also seems to hate going head-to-head with larger, outnumbering groups of hostiles. He also hates the odd-job Spartans who think way too highly of themselves, which are to be expected in the Scenario he's been plunged into.

>Notable Training Records
Induction Phase, Week 1: "I've seen certain individuality in G-419. Many of the Children have been uneasy with the new lives they've been brought into, and some have even questioned about their old lives and family whereabouts. This individual, however, seems to be...far from disturbed. Though he doesn't show some of the physical strengths his surrounding comrades may prove, his mental state seems rather powerful enough to engage his way through the upcoming tests. If he makes it past, and survives, the augmentation procedure, I assure that he'll prove to be an asset worthy of Gamma Company." - Doctor Ludwig Van Baron, on the Extraction of Gamma Company's Children. [Some Companies recruited those older, reducing training times.]
Classroom Phase, Theoretical Battle Planning, Week 103: "Once again, G-419 has shown interesting ways of moving a team around a map from a commanding spot. We've thrown numerous obstacles in front of his pathway, and he has managed to move past these with succession. However, unlike some of the daring tactics or common-sense ideas the other passing members have shown, ideas like Espionage-Related Camouflage, improvised use of equipment and Interesting path-finding have all been used by him. I like his thinking, but whether or not it'll be good for the Combat Exercises will be something worth placing bets on." - Corporal Bernard Harrison, on the Successions of Class H Trainees.
Combat Scenario Phase, Defensive Battle Training - Final Examination, Week 194: "There has been a substantial confusion amongst some of the Training Staff. During our objective, Defend the Downed Air Transport, Grant-G419 seemed very concerned about the Team he was put with. Now that we are Fireteam Chariot, one of the larger groups, we've noticed how much he's been focusing on us. Using stun-rounds generally fitted for training, we've learnt that he pictures them as live ammunition. This does sort of remove the idea of carelessness, which is a positive action, of course! Yet, he's been using himself to support those who are perhaps in more need. Working alongside our Exercise IC, Rick-G271, he developed an idea of selecting a few individuals who don't stay in a particular post, and move around based upon where the heaviest Hostile Activity is being focused. It worked, yet, however he took a hit to the shoulder, temporarily making him less able in the exercise. Still, we had minimal casualties, compared to other practice runs, and I feel with only a 8% Rating of confirmed deaths and injuries, we've done well for our examination." - Trainee Vicki-G421, on Peer Debrief on Defensive Examination.

Fireteam Leader - Warrant Officer [2nd Grade] Oslo-G935
[Though proven to be on decent Terms with Grant, Oslo is simply considered as a Comrade, as he does with Grant the same way. Disciplined to one another, and respectful, at the least.]
Fireteam 2IC - Sergeant Major Hannah-B130
[Though it is nearly the same as Oslo's relationship, Grant and Hannah got on exceptionally well. More than simple acquaintances, these two aren't strangers to one another.]
Fireteam Member - Gunnery Sergeant Grant-G419
Fireteam Member - Gunnery Sergeant Vicki-G421
[Vicki and Grant had been through most of this thick and thin together, they were relatively described as Best Friends and shared a strong bond with one another.]
Fireteam Member - Corporal Juan-B311
[Juan had been on very good terms with Grant. Like the rest below, he looks up to Grant as an Older-Brotherly figure, or even an understandable friend.]
Fireteam Member - Corporal Burnie-G618
[He's on relatively good terms with Grant too, looking up to him as a good friend, comrade and brotherly figure.]
Fireteam Member - Corporal Bella-A951
[With Juan, she's on very good terms with Grant, and sometimes is prepared to recommend his decision, respectively standing beside some of his suggestions.]
Fireteam Member - Lance Corporal Vladimir-B141
[Relatively good terms with Grant. Looks up to him, respects his decisions, yet is not afraid to counter his suggestions.]
Fireteam Member - Private First Class Barney-B834
[He was too on Grant's good books. Looking up to him, despite being less of a Spartan to the rest, and trusting him with great care. Even with an Older-brotherly figure, he kept him close to his side to correct his mistakes. Grant cared for this Spartan greatly.]

OPERATION: STINGER
Objective - To Successfully Field Test the first batch of 200 Deployable SPARTAN-IIIs against a major Insurrectionist Outpost on Onyx.
Outcome - Mission Successful
Casualty Rate - 0.5% | Someone shot their own Foot, comically.
Forces Involved - Gamma Company's Spartan III Units | 5th Air Transportation Squadron, Gamma Company Branch
Notes - G-419 was sent in with the Original Fireteam Chariot. Under the Command of Rick-G271, he was involved in the forward push to the Gate's highly defended Rear Gate. The Team proved exceptionally well, and have placed themselves on Possible Advancement.
OPERATION: DIRE CONNECTIONS
Objective - Four Gamma Company Spartan III Fireteams were to infiltrate a Covenant Research Camp, as a first contact between the two forces, and retrieve Valid information on UNSC and ONI files.
Outcome - Mission Successful
Casualty Rate - 25% | Fireteam Juliet were unfortunately taken down upon Extraction. Their bodies were found by Covenant Search Parties and were executed through Live Helmet Feed.
Forces Involved - Gamma Company's: Fireteam Juliet | Fireteam Chariot | Fireteam Warlock | Fireteam Cosmo
Notes - G419 seemed greatly effected by the full execution of Fireteam Juliet, hindering his thoughts of ease when fighting the Covenant Threat. On other terms, his performance in Defending Janet-G257 during her Intel Retrieval showed more potential.
OPERATION: HAWKEYES
Objective - Fireteam Chariot were to be put to the test, being sent behind the enemy Lines on multiple Outer-Colony Planets in reconnaissance and intelligence gathering against Covenant Occupation Forces.
Outcome - Moderate Success
Casualty Rate - 28% | Fireteam Leader Rick-G271 was confirmed K.I.A. from Blood loss on the Extraction | Peter-G039 was K.I.A. by Covenant at CQC solo engagement.
Forces Involved - Gamma Company's Fireteam Chariot
Notes - We've learnt about Chariot's coping abilities. Two of their missed members had sacrificed themselves for the good of the objective, showing how Chariot could go up against the other Spartan Fireteams. Though they did seem effected, especially Vicki-G421 and Grant-G419, they managed to keep their sorrows inside. After this crucial Operation, with partial success, Chariot were moved into Gamma Company's Special Warfare Group, at some-what near levels of accomplishment such as Future Noble-Team.
OPERATION: BLACKFOOT [Referred to as the VICTOR INCIDENT]
Objective - To recover found technology discovered by Fireteam Cosmo, resisting approaching Covenant Expeditionary Landing Forces.
Outcome - Operation Success
Casualty Rate - 60% | Fireteam Chariot Lost Several Members, including Corvax-G113 and Christine-G163. A Severe drop in Chariot's members since its creation.
Forces Involved - Gamma Company's Fireteam Chariot | Fireteam Cosmo [Pre-Operation]
Notes - An A.I, held by G419, was dismantled by a Covenant Field Marshal present on the Operation's defensive stage. Unfortunately, the fragments weren't retrievable, and repairs weren't able to be made. More than half of the Team's members were K.I.A. in the Defence, which has lead to a replacement and build up of newer members to the Fireteam, based upon high-performance units from Gamma Company. A new A.I. Construct, more advanced in terms of processing abilities and information analysis, called VICTOR, was constructed with the technology's fragments recovered from the package in replacement for the lost A.I. It was given to Grant-G419 for field Testing, proving successful. This Operation, as well as the previous, was what brought Fireteam Chariot its fame, not only in Gamma Company, but the Spartan III Programme.
OPERATION: TRIBUTE
Objective - Defend Tribute from Insurrectionists
Outcome - Unauthorised
Casualty Rate - Near Total
Forces Involved - Unauthorised
Notes - Unauthorised.
OPERATION: GREY AXE
Objective - Eliminate Fleet Master, as well as disrupt the Occupational Fleet through the Destruction of The Vigilant Redemption Flagship.
Specified Objective - Fireteam Chariot are to be in possession of the Exclusive Package. Their performance has proved them to be chosen with such responsibilities, even with the great dangers that come with it.
Outcome - Operation Failure
Specified Outcome - Unknown
Casualty Rate - Unknown | Predicted over 90% Of Ground Personnel involved in the Operation.
Forces Involved - UNSC 8th Fleet's Stranger of Darkness, Nimble Spirit and Burning Hope | 4th and 5th Orbital Drop Shock Trooper Regiments | 91st, 92nd and 94th UNSC Marine Corps | 4th Armoured Ground Division | 124th, 194th and 202nd Atmosphere Ariel Squadrons | Spartan III Programme | Gamma Company Special Warfare Group
Notes - Many of those involved in the Mission are reported K.I.A. We are unaware of the current Status of G419, but we know that Fireteam Chariot had a confirmed 4 K.I.A. Reports during the conflict, before the evacuation was called. G419, Fireteam Chariot, and many of the other unknown Soldiers left behind aren't in connections with, and have been reckoned by Officials as a 'Lost Cause, that took a Brave Sacrifice'.
