As far as hikkikomori goes...Social anxiety = subculture now? And NEET's something completely different. It just means someone who is unemployed and not at university. Which COULD include someone really hardworking, but who hasn't found employment yet. Or didn't quite do well enough on university entrance exams.
Sure, when I said subculture I was exaggerating but I think you're ignoring my point entirely: There are groups of people that act contradictory to their traditional culture. Am I wrong?
