Edit: their eyes are extremely sensitive to light and they sunburn pretty damn easily but that shouldn't kill him at least not right away. Also it's currently dawn so he should be OK regardless

Also, does Black Magic in this world extend to leylines? What of Psionics?

@Gate Keeper yeah that was my intention of the seige; to give reason for characters to interact and for the plot to move

nope black magic does extend the time or everyone would be doing it. As for psionics, since Kelvin is a phantom he can use poltergeist activity to a certain extent but that would use up quite a bit of energy and would reduce his time by about 10-20 minutes after each he uses it. Also the only people that can touch a phantom are people who are or have been close to death but didn't/ haven't died yet

Leylines are invisible lines of power criscrossing the land, one use of them is for instantaneous magical travel. (Like teleportation, but limited.)

Also, good to know about the time/magic usage constraints

And on psionics, what about auras and aura shielding?

I guess that would depend on how well he can interact with other things. I'm leaning towards no, just because he doesn't need to eat or drink, so I don't imagine a drug in a liquid or pill form would do much to him.

That being said, his spirit could probably be hexed/cursed in some way, or I suppose a nicer spell could be inflicted, if you wanted something like that. ^.^

Really though, I'm just making this stuff up as I go, so don't let me stop you if you had an idea for your guy! I'm just saying if you come to Naya, she'd probably try to sell you on a spell (Or some kind of talisman, if your character can hold things besides his sword) over a potion.

@Narcotic Dollie Un/Fortunately, Kelvin is completely unable to interact with physical things except by magic- even his sword is a ghostly construct of the original... (he couldn't stab someone if he wanted to)

The GM mentioned that the opposing types of magic could knockvout various beings though.

I guess in this case, an aura shield would be like using your own magical power as protection against another magical attack- surrounding yourself with your own power for protection. It likely would have the same cost as the blocked attack required to use. (Nonphysical protection)

@Gate Keeper I'm going to say no because that would be OP since Kelvin can't be touched physically by most people already... UNLESS! it is for a EXTREMELY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME like 5 seconds
