@ProPro I've seen clips where they morphed via just holding the device and saying their call. I didn't watch SPD despite the great reception I heard it had. I have no real bias for or against a cell phone-like device, but inputting a code into it to unlock it puts a bit of a damper on the epic factor when they need to look down and dial it in. Space wasn't terrible, but morphing was a downgrade. You went from it being a very physical thing--combining two devices to form one, using a key to access the power, and simply just holding onto the device and accessing the power by calling on your chosen dinosaur
Eh, morphging was only a three button code and they looked the villains down as they punched it in with their fingers. Plus, as the video shows, Space had one of the fastest transformations. No fuss, just a flash and you were a ranger with statistics floating around you.
Besides, I feel like I could type 3-3-5 faster than I could turn a key. Mainly because two of those buttons were the same.
If I wrote an oppressive villain with no honor, he'd be attacking you guys before that went off. None of that 'magical dodge despite you not moving' stuff.
Also, I'm
not gonna morph in front of the enemy and give away any chance of surprise I might have in the future.
How crazy would it be to stand up in the middle of a battle field and start shouting nonsense like
"Hey, you! Yeah, we're the ones you want!! Please be aware of us as we make no attempt to use any form of strategic planning and give away our position!!"
And if I did ever consider morphing in front of the enemy. I would be on the move as I did so. Circling you at a distance to dampen your chance of hitting me and scanning you for weaknesses I could exploit later in battle.
