It's only natural to treat high school as an important part of your life, regardless of what form it is taken in. Secondary education can help prepare you for the world, for the future. As a result, there are high schools all across the world, and private forms of education that convey similar results. They come in all varieties, from upscale academies to the average public high school, and all sorts of things in between. And the Ishikawa Academy is just like any of these other schools. Absolutely nothing strange about it, whatsoever. At all.
Except the ghost haunting the girl's dorms. And the fact that classes include "Standard Witchcraft" and "Mage Studies". And that one of the teachers is a thousand-year-old vampire. Or that there's a very real danger of a student getting the bright idea to summon a succubus(interrupting her video game time and making her very upset). Or of the student mad scientist blowing up her dorm room. In fact, there are many ways that the Ishikawa Academy is considered rather odd. Of course, the nearby town just thinks it's a fancy boarding school for rich children.
After all, the average person isn't aware of the Ishikawa Boarding Academy for Aspiring Magic-Users. But, for magic-users across Japan, it's the go-to high school for their children.
The atmosphere in the school, as described by the students, is strange and kind of whimsical. At times, at least. Other times can be described more aptly as "My roommate lit the bed on fire practicing magic. Please help."
... That's not much of a description, is it?
But magic isn't all fun and games, is it?
So after having some RP's come to unfortunate ends, I've decided to try something a bit new. This is a magical school RP, which I know has been done before, but I'm looking for a lighthearted and comedic tone. At least, to start with. There will be a serious plot and more serious things will happen as the RP goes on. However, I never want to completely abandon a comedy and lightheartedness, so even when things get rough we'll be able swing back to comedy.
The Ishikawa Academy trains magic-users, with a variety of approaches. Magi, witchcraft, all is accepted under the roof of the Ishikawa Academy.
The Academy even accepts magical creatures, such as kitsune, or more foreign creatures such as fairies, for education. Naturally, these students are more rare then humans.
