Yes, all of the stand-up-guyness is because I'm separating his Known History from his more secrets acts of villainy while he keeps up a public face, not to say he's all cackling and puppy-kicking behind closed doors.

I'm calling into work today and depending on how the talk with management goes I may get fired. Honestly I don't care cause the job turned out to be a lot more aggravation than it's worth and I was basically ignored when I asked about transferring departments. I also don't have the time I need off due to them working everybody full time hours even if they're part time. So yeah if I get fired oh well LOL

Anyway, I'll have some time on my hands today and possibly the rest of the week. So the IC will be posted today and we can get things moving forward.

You should have heard the way the store manager talked to me. It was all I could do not to quit over the phone. What's so hard to understand my mom is disabled and in her seventies and needs bills paid before 5 o' clock? He went on saying "well now somebody who has to work till 4 will have to work over, that's not fair..." I was like dude I've worked over every day since last week and had to work over and that's without people calling in....

Working on an IC post in the titanpad but there's a few villains CS's that need to be moved over here. Put them in hider tags and post them here and I'll go over them and I'll get around to putting them in a couple posts in the Character Tab so long as everything checks out and nothing's too off the wall. Remember the majority of villains will be sandbox unless it's like an arch enemy.

Dead-Eye

Name: Richard 'Dick'
Alias: Dead-Eye

Powers: Dick has beyoned superhuman reflexes that make Rush look like a turtle. His reflexs are so stupidly fast that he could catch a bullet right out of the air if he had the proper abilities and equipment (if he were to just try it on his own the bullet would obviously just tear right through his finger). However he isnt very fast in terms of running, he's more along the lines of an averge person who doesent exercise much. Dick couples his reflex power with a pair of moden day pistols.
Known History: Dick is yet another mystery to the citizens of New Athens. He showed up roughly five years ago after spazing out down town and waving revolvers around dressed as a cowboy. Naturally he was detained but he made a miraculous escape before he even got down to the station and wasnt heard from for a year.

The mysterious man resurfaced a year later going by the name 'Dead-Eye' and now weilding weapons more appropriate with todays technolgy but still wearing his cowboy ensemble, though now reinforced with Kevlar. He is said to be living in New Athens but his work as a bounty hunter has him showing up all around the world.

I know it's hard to convey tone across the internet, but what I was aiming for there was good natured ribbing rather than a genuine complaint, maybe light a lil fire under the asses of our esteemed GM team. Good of you to defend them though.

And not that I want to argue with you but @The Kid Lantern posted this four days ago, where he clearly states that he'll be getting to work on an opening IC post.

My kid's been out of school all week with a cold as well so it's been rough finding ample time on the internet. Getting in the pad now to try and get something written up...

So the other thing I was working on that I needed written up before I could post Captain Genome in the character tab, here is the totally-not-Weapon-Plus-honest organization that made her I guess. Again, kind of rough and vague to help them slot into the setting more easily but yeah. If anyone has any thoughts or feedback, let me know. ^^;

The Initiative

Originally a clandestine department of the US government, the Initiative was founded during World War II in an effort to create the perfect soldier with which to fight the Axis forces with, and once the Cold War set in they were determined to stay one step ahead from the Soviets. Initially, their experiments mostly involved relatively sane if somewhat experimental science, but everything changed in 1947, when a vessel of extraterrestrial origin crashlanded nearby Roswell, New Mexico. What remained of the wreckage (including the deceased pilot) was salvaged and taken into the custody of the Initiative, who immediately began experimenting on the alien technology and the corpse within. Ever since then, they quickly descended into mad science and ethically questionable experiments, to the point that by the 90's they were shut down; the government have proceeded to disavow any knowledge that the Initiative ever existed.

Despite this, many members of the Initiative disregarded orders and instead began working even more secretively than before, all for various reasons. Some were too deeply engrossed in their research to stop, some felt that superhumans were a growing threat and they needed weapons to use against them, but whatever the reasons they had they reformed not long after the official disbandment. Currently, they operate in a secret underground facility near New Athens.

Whilst the most well known product of the Initiative's research was Project Genome, developed by their genetics department, they didn't solely focus on genetic engineering. The Initiative was (and still is, to a lesser degree) split into several departments including the aforementioned genetics department, but also a robotics and cybernetics department, a pharmaceutical department, a department researching various forms of radiation, and the bloody, grisly mutant research department (whom even the other departments believe go too far in their research). The robotics and cybernetics department have occassionally leaked some of their research, and many a robot or cyborg hero includes part of their research in their designs. Meanwhile, the pharmaceutical department was working on a drug that temporarily grants superpowers to the user, but not only did this get (unintentionally) leaked but the formula was degraded and modified to use easier to acquire ingredients. This led to the emergence of the street drug known as "Psycho"; rare and expensive, immensely addictive and with horriffic withdrawal symptoms, but still popular with those who can acquire it due to the fact that it does allow them to develop superpowers for a short time.

Opening IC post is up. If anybody wants to take a hit from Shayd I left it open ended with the battle ending sometime before 6 pm. Sorry it took so long to get this started, as I mentioned earlier its been a stressful week. Can't wait to get in the thick of things!

EDIT: I've still got some things to go over such as other villains and an alien race @Rin wanted to introduce in the broader universe. I'll try and give everything the once over before it gets too late in the evening but at some point my son's gotta go back to the doctor...
