Plot Arc 1: The First Game
Every gamer worth their in-game currency was excited for the release of Virality's latest addition to the world of virtual gaming. "Shadowfall", the largest ever fantasy MMO released for VR (Virtual Reality) Helmets was taking the world by storm. The 2,000 beta testers had left glowing reviews all over the internet. Game stores selling the VR Helmet systems...
systems couldn't keep them in stock. When the general release date came, thousands of gamers around the world dawned their helmets, prepared for what was supposed to be the greatest experience virtual reality had to offer. The character creation system was flawless, allowing each base class a customized and completely unique character. Some users spent hours just on the facial structure! It was almost 8 hours before the first person decided to log off.
But they couldn't. Panic spreads through the game as people try in vain to disconnect from this new world. Suddenly, every member in the game finds themselves teleported to the spawn point village they started in. The sky goes red, and an announcement that they will die here rings across the sky. Character skins vanish as everyone transforms into what they look like in the real world. But they cannot access the real world. Having them trapped there, the sky voice announces that the only way that they will be released is if the final dungeon is cleared, and the boss defeated.
No one, not even the beta testers, had ever seen the final dungeon. Even if they could find it, this game was so big, it could take years to reach a character level that could even stand a chance! Hundreds would die from concerned friends or family members trying to remove them from their helmets, still more from in-game death. It was soon found that not only were they trapped, but there was no respawning. People really died. Game over.
Our characters (whoever those who join us decide to be) are trapped in the game. There will be different classes and skillsets to choose from, as well as the professions outlined in the actual show. While the main objective is to escape the game, sideplots will be determined by the players.
"Shadowfall"
Classes: (Every character in Shadowfall begins with one of these base classes)
Paladin- Heavily armored tank-type character, generally defense and healing based
Warrior- Damage dealer, usually attack based
Mage- Uses arcane power, extremely versatile
Rouge- Stealth-based character, generally focuses on strategy
Healer- support class, generally focused on keeping others alive
Professions: (Characters can choose from any number of in-game professions, provided they've been cleared by the GM.)

Experience: In-game events such as combat will result in players gaining experience. This will allow them to aquire more skills as the game develops. Skills are determined by the player, but must be approved by the GM. Players will be informed when they are allowed access to a new skill.
