@Agent 47 I still need to plan out most of my post.

One does not simply down a couple of Nevermores...

Interactions: Arthur Walsh (@Godlikeblade), Tyler Blackmore (@The Jest), Jacob Wolf (@Godzillafreak54)

"I pretty sure we all had these weird dreams, I'm just wondering if this is due to P3 or not."

'Again with this P3...' Tylissa noted, from the man who'd then introduce himself as Arthur Walsh no less. Then again, there was nothing else that could possibly explain why Tylissa, Arthur and the military man that was Tyler Blackmore would all be dreaming about a mirror in one instance, and then suddenly find themselves transported into a strange netherworld in the next. However, that still didn't explain how everyone was still alive. As far as Tylissa knew, the P3 Syndrome claimed lives...

"No way..." Tylissa shook her head. There was no way they'd all be dead in reality, was there? She had so much to live for...

"Listen carefully, other humans outside the age of P3 syndrome were dropped into this world just like you two. They were being chased by that monster back there and were led down into that hole over there by a White Rabbit...I don't know the details, but it seems the rabbit was benign, so wherever that hole leads...it's safer than here. ...Or it could be a death trap they were lured into, I can't deny the possibility. Even so..."

"WWWWWHOOOOOOOOOA(!!), whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa! Whoa. Whoa..." Tylissa paused, if only to give herself time to try to wrap her brain around what Tyler had just said, "You're telling me... or us, rather... that they're even more people that shouldn't be affected by this whole P3 thing but that are?! I'm sorry, but I... none of this makes any sense!"

Throughout that last outburst, Tylissa had been clutching her head in one hand, panic being written all over her face. The other arm had pressed hard on the stuffed toucan that she always cradled around her chest. It'd take a while before she'd calm again, and by that time Tyler had already ventured out on his own... again. He really needed to consider how unsafe his departures would make everyone else feel...

"Let's just go," Tylissa told Arthur, "I really cannot handle any more exposition dumps right now."

...

A brisk walk later, Tylissa and Arthur would find Tyler with yet another new person that presumably had just been transported from the real world. It looked as though Tyler was right; there were definitely more people here than that should be, and at this rate, there'd be more to come. Nonetheless, Tylissa seemingly smiled as she approached the newcomer. Though whether that smile would hold was another story.

"Hi there, mister. This is here Arthur, that there is Tyler, the army boy... Oh(!) and I'm Tylissa!" how she forgot to introduce herself earlier, she didn't know, but it saved her from having to say her name twice at least, "What's your name? And how are you today?"

Interactions: Cinna Arelle (@Ithradine)

"Yo Xinyue! Looks like you survived the landing alright."

Sure enough, that was the sound of Cinna calling out to Xinyue. Xinyue herself would've preferred Aeschel herself, since he was the only one she knew well enough to gauge how competent he'd actually be as a Huntsman. Xinyue did not have that same information from everyone else that she'd met that night. However, rules were rules, and because of that...

'It appears I'm to be sided with Cinna for this mission. Well then, we'll see how capable she is first hand,' she nodded to herself, possibly in addition to acknowledging to Cinna that she did indeed survive the landing. Then suddenly, Cinna took off again.

"I don't recall there being a prize for first place!" Xinyue tried to call out, but sighed in anticipation that it might not have reached Cinna, "Let's just hope her impatience doesn't get the best of her..."

...

As she and her tiger spirits raced to catch up to Cinna, Xinyue could sense something from beyond the tree tops. There was no mistaking that unholy stigma; and there was only one type of Grimm that it would make sense for it to be as well.

'Nevermore. And it's mocking us from above that canopy, too,' with that, Xinyue swapped her metal bolts for her Water Dust bolts and, after the exchange was made, propelled herself up the closest tree she could find. She had to ascertain its exact location before it could procure the chance to strike her and Cinna down from above.

Sure enough, dawn was around the corner, and with it came a hearty breakfast for all the candidates to enjoy. Well.. for most of them anyway. Xinyue got up early that morning and had another cold shower and put on another clean china dress (along with fresh under of course), and had just gotten to the great hall... once again with dismay written all over her face.

'Great... an even bigger mess of foods not fit for a vegan,' Xinyue sighed as this thought came across her mind. She couldn't blame the staff who organized these feasts though; after all, they would've had to cater for everyone else as well, and the masses typically didn't have such a dietary complication as Xinyue had. At least they had a decent selection of fruits available this time around...

After getting her fill of different melons and a papaya or two, Xinyue immediately went into her locker, grabbed her Arcus Splinters and a myriad of metal bolt and Water Dust bolt magazines, feeling as though she might need them for this specific initiation, before boarding the vessel that would take the candidates into the Emerald Forest, where the initiation was to take place.

...

While in the vessel, Xinyue listened in on the PA system, compartmentalizing everything she heard into a few key points. Namely, the trial was said to start in a few minutes, partners were to be determined as the first candidate one saw after they've landed, and they were to find a relic inside some ruins. The PA also mentioned that there were Grimm inside and told everyone that they should work together and not push themselves, but all that was a given. However, there was one thing in particular that Xinyue would scrutinize over...

"Oh, and when I said a few minutes, I meant ten seconds ago."

"Tch. That sly fie-..." before she could finish her remark, she was propelled straight through the open floor of the vessel, and left to devise how exactly to go about landing on solid ground without become street pizza on her own. One would think that that was what a parachute was for, but apparently that would be too easy. She kept her arms and legs spread wide in order to slow her descent, which would give her time to think. However, she couldn't see much from so far up in the sky. As she continued her descent, however, Xinyue could see that the tree tops were starting to become clear. First, she amassed some light in both arms and launched it down towards the forest floor.

Those would come into play later when she got closer to the ground.

With her Arcus Splinters in hand, Xinyue then brought her arms forward and her legs together, making her fall at a much faster. She charged her Arcus Splinters while she was there, and fired some of the metal bolts, aiming to make a clearing and ensure no stray branches would impede her descent. With enough charged shots, she could see the dirt 'hole' that she'd made and aimed straight for it. She spread her arms out again just at the last second, only for two tiger spirits to lunge at her from a nearby tree, capture each arm in their respective maws and propel her back up into the air momentarily, diverting her path into another upright tree before letting go. Of course, Xinyue had planned for that entirely, using her legs to rebound off said tree, touching the ground with her hands and performing a back-flip, before finally landing on her feet; knees bent, right hand on the ground next to her feet and left arm outstretched for balance. Her tail had even swished from one side to another in a show-off like manner, as the two tiger spirits resounded near her side.

"I'd like to think that landing of mine was most extravagant; all things considered," Xinyue quipped, rising back up to full height as she searched for her potential partner with her two tiger spirits in tow.

Xinyue nodded in acknowledgement of all the introductions, seemingly satisfied with the fact that she'd learnt some more names. Kobalt Zaffre was the first to give his, and the two girls, Cinna Arelle and Aquarius Haifisch, had gave theirs at roughly the same time as each other. Of course, Xinyue already knew of Aeschel from back when they were all on that vessel that was headed for Beacon.

"Very well, then. I am Xinyue Cao Tang," she finally introduced herself; it was at this time that she noted Cinna's compliment of her dress, "Why thank you. I have several of this same dress, myself."

Well... it'd be considered small talk at best, but at least Xinyue was interacting with more people, which would be good for her. After all, this group was more or less the size of a team she'd be expected to work with.

”Would you mind if I asked you a question? As in, how the hell did you get so tall?” asked Aquarius; Xinyue had to ponder that one.

"I suppose I would be considered abnormally tall," she deduced, before supposing she should actually answer the question, "My body has been growing at a rate one would expect, and it stopped at a normal age as well. If I had to guess as to why I've become at this height, it would be... because of the 'head start' it was given, if you will."

Xinyue didn't read too much into Aeschel's apology for their prior conversation being cut short. She did think about resuming said conversation, but with most everyone else either preparing to go to sleep or already having fallen asleep, this time of night wasn't the best time for it. After all, she had to respect the necessity for adequate rest, especially for as large an event as the initiation.

"I hope you guys do well in the initiation process."

"Yes, about that... It'd be wise to get as much shut-eye as we're going to be able to for tomorrow," Xinyue added along with Aeschel's wishes for good luck, before looking down at the floor with a disheartened look in her eyes, "That said, that floor looks none too comfortable. I didn't bring any sleepwear myself, so this wall I'm leaning on will have to suffice."
I was waiting on someone specific. I can post after I get back from the mall today though; just thought I'd explain why I hadn't posted yet :/

Interactions: Auriola (@The Irish Tree), Amelia Averyonna* (@Joshua Tamashii)

'Once again, she exaggerates,' Dimitri sighed heavily as this thought came across his mind. Contrary to what Amelia had said, this was actually the first time in weeks that he'd came in bearing a slap mark. In any case, he needed to focus on the mission at hand.

It looked as though detaining Prelati wasn't an option after all, as apparently that would come in conflict with direct orders that the peerage was given. Dimitri would just have to question him before or during the battle instead. Luckily, he was sent out to scout around for Prelati's current location... although that meant that he would be paired with Auriola. Hakuryu Mizushima was to accompany them as well, if only so he serve as the messenger for when it was time to report Prelati's arrival. Overall, Dimitri was fine with this outcome.

...

Sure enough, as they were scouting, Auriola decided that now was the time for a little small talk.

"Now then... was your pickup line really bad enough to get slapped for it?" she asked, much to Dimitri's dismay.

"Did you really have to bring that up right now? It'd better to ask about it after the mission," Dimitri stated flatly, "Besides, it wasn't even the so-called "pickup line" that failed me. Our first date was going so well..."

Dimitri did not want to talk about the botched date with the student council president; one could tell by the contorted face that he made knowing how bad it would sound of him. But he had an inkling feeling that Auriola would only probe for all the juicy details; this would especially be true the longer he kept them to himself. Still, it didn't stop him from attempting to slowly steer the topic away from it.

"I'm sure Amelia would have you know that I don't learn anything when it comes to my endeavors with women... but in truth, I've come to learn that they're rather fickle creatures," said Dimitri, "According to what Father always told me, that was especially the case for Mother. She always played hard to get for the longest time."

"I see," Xinyue would say occasionally, nodding along with Aeschel as he told her a lot about himself and appearing to take interest in it, before finally saying her piece, "That was certainly a wealth of information you just gave me. I'll be sure to cherish it."

She was about to introduce herself before the vessel landed on the ground with a great and sudden thud. It was a good thing Xinyue had been sitting this whole time, as the seat had taken the brunt of the impact that she'd have otherwise felt. It was evidently enough to send the standing Beacon Academy candidates, including Aeshel, bowling over themselves. Unfortunately, by the time Xinyue rose from her seat, Aeschel seemed to have been swept away completely by the crowd of candidates rushing to get off. She shook her head in dismay.

'Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt if I ever got to see him again, unlike the case for some people.' Xinyue thought to herself, 'I wonder...'

Contemplating on that chance encounter, Xinyue left to follow everyone else to the Great Hall, being the last candidate to disembark the vessel.

...

Xinyue's first impression of Ozpin, the headmaster of Beacon Academy, would be rather lackluster as of yet. After all, she didn't really learn enough about him as a person from the speech he gave, and didn't have anything to go on as a result. This wasn't helped by the fact that said speech was as short as it was. As for the dinner... well, it looked impressive on the surface, but Xinyue wasn't really all that hungry to begin with now that she thought of it, and the sheer amount of meat that was on display took its toll on her appetite. Supposing she should eat something in order to keep her strength up for the next day's initiation, Xinyue scrounged around the table for the few acceptable vegetarian options that the feast had presented for her. She left with barely enough to be considered a single meal, which was less than what she could say for some of the other candidates she saw, some of which piled their plates with food, others that had carried more than one with them... and even the odd few that did both. That alone was enough to make her shudder.

With the feast over and done with, Xinyue went and had her shower. She could never understand the appeal of a hot shower; she always preferred the commando style of shower herself, as it was more effective at refreshing her than a warm shower would. Xinyue only took a minute or two to have her shower as well. It may have been questionably short, but it was long enough to get the job done. She changed into another, clean china dress that she had and proceeded to find a smooth wall to lean on. Incidentally, Xinyue managed to find Aeschel nearby the spot that she'd ultimately chose, although he appeared to be already in the midst of a conversation with an entire group of people. Xinyue shouldn't have been surprised in retrospect, as she had to bypass quite the multitude of people herself.

"Ah, there you are; I was wondering whether I'd see you again before tomorrow," Xinyue told Aeshel as she leaned back against the nearby wall and made herself comfortable, before looking over towards the rest of the group that he was with "And who might you lot be, out of curiosity?"
Apologies for not posting in so long; things have been stressful on my end for the past few days.

I'll try get a post up tonight, or tomorrow failing that.

"Would you accept a trade as an apology?"

"Hm?" Xinyue looked back over to the squirrelly faunus with a newfound curiosity. She was expecting the rather lame excuse that he gave of him not being used to crowds and having "a lot on his mind", as if being aware of one's surroundings could possibly be too much to think about at any point in time, and she expected him to accept that what was done was done and moved onto wherever he was going. However, she wasn't expecting him to then rescind said lame excuse as quickly as he did, and she certainly wasn't expecting him to insist on a confirmation that his apology would be accepted. Had she realized he was one of those types, Xinyue could've easily adjusted her response so that it showed a little bit of courtesy towards the guy on her end. Unfortunately, hindsight was 20/20.

Xinyue wasn't so sure the "trade" was necessary. After all, she didn't know if the squirrelly faunus could even give her what she would hypothetically want from him. But then she noticed what he was initially offering; that strange bacon-like substance that was supposed to serve as some kind of snack. She leaned over and sniffed in confirm that, yes, it did have that scent of meat, but then closed her eyes.

"As much as I appreciate the offer, I can't accept it. Strict vegan," she shook her head as she this, before looking straight into the squirrelly faunus' eyes, this time with a considerably softer gaze, "You seem rather... contrite, compared to what I was expecting of you. A normal person would've forgotten about such an incident in its entirety by now."

She listened patiently to what the other faunus had to say... assuming he could find anything to say about her insight of him that was, and whilst she listened, Xinyue got to thinking. This was the first faunus she'd talked to since back at Mirage Academy, and that would have been a couple years ago. Furthermore, she knew barely anything about the other students since she chose to just focus on her own grades for both Mirage and Signal. The perfect opportunity to get to know this specific faunus was right here and now.

"Tell you what. You give me information about yourself; hobbies, interests, secrets, motivations, lifestyle choices, what have you, and I'll accept your apology once I've ascertained a good understanding of you as a person," Xinyue offered, a seemingly innocent smile present on her face.

"You may start with your name, if you so choose..."
