I think there are far more important things to worry about than people calling their characters "muses".

Cara Osborne

Location; Home > Grimbold's cabin
Interacting With; Grimbold and anyone sitting at the table

'Of all the things to forget...' Cara sighed, shutting her apartment's front door behind her with a slam. She threw her bag off to the side, quickly checking her watch. She knew she was late, very late. Gandalf - I mean Grimbold - would probably not appreciate her tardiness, especially on the full moon.

Cara slid off her wedges, instead moving to her bedroom to change into something a lot more comfortable in order to meet the other critter-family at Grimbold's cabin for dinner. After fifteen minutes, Cara was dressed appropriately and feeling fresh, the stress from the morning medical lecture slowly draining as Cara returned to the front hallway, her hands in her hair trying to tie it into a bun.

Her apartment wasn't too far off from the forest, so Cara decided to hike it up to Grimbold's cabin instead. It took another twenty minutes, but she was finally there and knocking at the front door.

The door seemed to have opened almost immediately, as if Grimbold had been standing there the entire time. Cara gave him a charming smile, "Lectures, sorry." She vaguely explained, before slipping past the elderly man and towards the gathered group of misfits.

She took the seat beside Sloane, grabbing herself a serving of soup before sitting down. "So, did I miss anything important?"
@Lady Amalthea I keep reading the ship name as Taconuts and I laugh everytime
Nina may see Cara as a bit of a rival, respecting her bluntness. Gotta love the accent though. Again, they could possibly have a nice moment or two watching a movie together.

I can see them having a hot/cold friendship; some days they get along and others they don't. I also noticed that Nina doesn't like deceit and Cara's quite the two-faced bitch so I'd imagine Nina wouldn't like that aspect of her, just like how Cara wouldn't like how much of a bully Nina is

does that make sense? I just woke up and I have like no energy to reread through what I just wrote
@ChaoticFox Only room we need is a morgue after I gut him

I love you for this.
@Lady Amalthea Soon, especially once Connor can tell everybody the surprise he has.
@Sven the Silent Fair point, German soldiers seemed to have joined him and the Russian squad so it looked like a joint effort? Maybe some political treaty? I don't know so I would just wait for an actual explanation by @GodOfChaos themself, but that's how I reasoned it.
@Universorum Evac is literally a fluff machine
@Sven the Silent But doesn't he explain it in the first few lines of his bio?

Originally, Viktor was sent in with a squad of men to take in civilians and direct them to safe haven. They were supposed to be a relief force to the area. They were joined by a few German soldiers they had run into along the way. The story was that command had cut off communications with them and left them to die.

Seems like an acceptable reason to me, unless I'm missing something over here?

"Beans, plums-- canned tomato soup? Score!"

A mop of red hair appeared from between two counters, a large grin plastered on the pale face as Maxine peered down at the still untouched soup can in her hand. After months of barely finding anything, this house was a dream. It had everything, surprisingly. Some spare clothing - albeit it was too large for her thin frame, but she wasn't one to complain - and now some delicious food.

Pulling her leather backpack from off her shoulder, she set it down onto the counter before filling up her bag with the food she had found. She didn't even leave the expired products, at least she could use some of those to lure some animals later for hunting. Once the contents of the kitchen cabinets were stripped bare, Maxine zipped up her bag and left the kitchen, headed towards the joint drawing room.

Maxine walked past a fireplace, cobwebs filling each corner of the room with a thick layer of dust over each surface, indicating no life - whether living or dead - had passed through these walls for at least a few years. She glanced at the pictures on the mantle, eyes gentle as she took in each face within those frames carefully; an old woman sitting on the arm chair alongside two younger faces, who were both standing behind the woman with goofy grins.

She was still surprised how stocked the house was. She could only imagine that the occupants had gone off on a holiday before the borders had been shut, refusing them access to their own homes. It was sad, but Maxine didn't want to imagine anything else. She just wanted to hope that the old occupants of the household had found somewhere safe to hide, still alive and kicking after all these years.

It was naive, but a hope nonetheless.

Bang!

Maxine jolted, eyes widening and heart pounding against her chest as she leaned her arm against the wall to keep herself balanced. The sound came from upstairs, she was sure of it. Terrified, Maxine slipped her hand under her shirt, tugging her hunting knife loose from its binding to grip onto the handle tightly. Rather than engaging whatever the fuck was up there, Maxine decided it was best to leave, quietly through the closest exit, which in this case was the front door.

Creeping out of the room, she peered around the corner of the doorway, making sure the coast was clear before stepping carefully towards the door. Each step against the wooden flooring caused the girl to wince, the anticipation of the old wood creaking and alerting the creature upstairs making Maxine almost sweat with nervousness. Reaching the door, she reached out for the handle before another crash was heard, this time closer towards the wooden staircase. Deciding not to stay at the house for a second longer, Maxine ripped the door open, bolting away from the house.
@SgtEasy Question, why is he yelling in a hospital room anyway? Shouldn't he be sitting beside Echo's bed and try and comfort her at least that's what TV tells me
