Hair: Dyed Cotton Candy Pink | Loose Waves | Worn down mostly but sometimes in a messy bun or in space buns
Eyes: Icy Blue
Height: 5’7
Body Type: Thin, small bust, “boyish” frame
Clothing Style: Shiloh’s fashion choices are diverse and ever changing. Most days she settles for a punk rock hobo look, wearing band tees that she always cuts/rips/bleaches or modifies in some way along with jeans and combat boots. Other days she likes to live her best pretty pink princess life, flipping from tomboy to girlygirl when it suits her mood — skirts, blouses, sometimes something as outlandish as a tutu. If she is feeling particularly creative or in a groove, she opts for bohemian hippie chic style clothing — floppy hats and loose, flowy blouses, clothing with beads and braids, tie dye. If it’s a Patreon day, or convention season, she will deck herself out in full head to toe, often handmade, cosplay (she has come to classes in cosplay around Halloween time as well). (ex: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6)
Makeup Wise: Mascara, single color eyeshadow looks, black eyeliner if it’s a dark day, the lightest amount of pink lip gloss if it’s a girly day, concealer for pimples, otherwise just a tinted moisturizer (never a full face foundation).
Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: Virgin skin and only a single lobe piercing in each ear. She is considering getting a triforce tattoo, but her indecision has kept her from committing to anything thus far.
Rock music, particularly her dad’s band, Mutiny of the Groove
Cosplay
Handheld game systems
Pokemon, Zelda, Persona, Animal Crossing, Mario, and most of those cliche games about killing zombies
The color pink… clearly
Sour Candies
Spicy food, especially flaming hot cheetos.
Upbringing Synopsis
True love can be found amidst vinyl seats, home fries, and a vintage style jukebox. All you need is a little sunshine… The Sunshine Diner, that is. Kathryn “Rin” Zabrecky and Wesley Clay met at the diner when Rin was just a teenager. It wasn’t love at her first sight, lust maybe, but it was more of a game of cat and mouse than anything for a while. They were both young and dumb, and somehow they just… worked.
Rin was putting herself through beauty school when she started seeing Wes officially. Wes, on the other hand, was fronting a garageband that seemed to be going nowhere named The Lone Rangers, alongside his brother, his stoner friend, and his roommate. It just so happened that the stars aligned above LA a few years later, because this little garageband with it’s shitty name somehow got noticed by a record label. Working at a diner that occasionally hosted celebrity clientele had its perks.
There was a catch in the record deal, however. Wes and the boys had to choose a new name. After much deliberation, the group decided on Mutiny of the Groove, which still garnered more than a few eye rolls. Anything was an improvement to The Lone Rangers, however, so it was accepted and… surprisingly enough, the band took off. MotG, as it has commonly been abbreviated, has a unique sound — modern rock with roots in bass-heavy funk and classic 80s hair metal guitar riffs.
The eccentric young couple, though they had the money to do better, got married in a Las Vegas drive-thru chapel. The ceremony somehow gracefully danced the line of being both charming and obscene, and that perfectly represented the Clays’ relationship. Long after their wedding day, the couple remained as amorous as ever. Many might have thought them to be sex addicts and, truly, they weren’t wrong.
While the Clays did engage in frequent relations, Rin absolutely did not want children. But of course, no one is perfect, and Kathryn may or may not have missed a pill or two and oops. A fruit of their labor had blossomed. Wesley was away on tour with the band when Rin finally came to terms with what her late period meant. Wes found out that he was going to be a father over Skype, which was arguably better than a phone call or a text, but still not ideal. Despite neither of them having a desire to be parents, it turned out that they weren’t absolutely awful at it. Rin was unwilling to test that further, however, and immediately got an IUD after Shiloh was born.
Shiloh grew up in a hippie commune, of sorts. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Shiloh was raised by not only her two parents, but also her “uncle” Lenny (that stoner friend from the band mentioned in the hider above), her actual uncle Wade, her mother’s non-binary sibling Nik, and the final MotG band member, Cooper.
Growing up, Shiloh inherited a little bit of each of those people that poured into her life. Her personality, fashion-sense, and tastes are all a blend of the eclectic group’s own personas. Shi likes the color pink, wearing ridiculously poofy skirts and dresses, and getting her hair done — just like her mother. On the flip side, she loves chilling out and wearing vintage rock band tees and listening to the same styles of music as her rockstar dad. Lenny taught her how to properly light a joint and “bask in the cannabliss”. Wade taught her how to be an absolute menace behind a drum kit (in all the best ways). Cooper taught her to embrace her own creativity, which led to her picking up photography and writing. Nik taught her to be open-minded, and to accept herself at a very young age, no matter what that meant — and if she ever needed someone to talk to, it could always be them. Shi came out first as bisexual and then later as a lesbian to her agender pibling(parent’s sibling) before she officially did to anyone else.
On the topic of sexuality, Shiloh was certain that she liked girls as early as elementary school. Girls were pretty, and they liked the same things that she did, most of the time. Going into middle school, Shi tried to like boys too. She came out first as bisexual, and openly dated both genders for a time. This is when she realized that preteen boys, quite frankly, were stinky: And dick wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. In fact, the first time a boy dropped trou for a blowie in 8th grade, Shi stood up and left him wanting and waiting — only to dump him via text later that night. As it stands today, Shiloh maintains her status as gold star lesbian(not that she cares for labels), despite her years of bicuriosity.
Next came high school. Now that Shiloh was firmly and decided gay, it was time to play. She was young and cute and appeared to be playfully naive, all of which landed her in many a bed of the upperclasswomen of her high school. Among these women was Shauna Flynn, Beverly Hills High’s own thespian, lesbian, playgirl, misanthropist. Unlike many of Shauna (the Shark)’s so-called “victims”, their brief and wild tryst did not leave a freshman Shiloh teary-eyed or brokenhearted. Quite the opposite happened, in fact. Shauna was one of many girls that helped Shiloh figure out what she liked and what she wanted out of sex and romance, and the two of them remain friends even all these years later.
Heading into college at Meadow University, Shi was ready to put her loose moralled sexcapades behind her. She has tried dating seriously rather than bouncing from one conquest to another like she did in high school, but no relationship has stuck for more than a few months, unfortunately. Regardless of romance or lack thereof, Shi is living her best life at university. She has always dreamed of going to college and living in a dorm room, and now that she does, she’s making the most of it. Shiloh enjoys most of her classes, and packs her schedule full with fun and creative electives. She is active in the school’s gamer club, attends sorority parties, and enjoys going on “adventures” to explore the surrounding areas off of the college campus. Vermont is beautiful and a million times more interesting than LA, in her opinion. It snows here!!!

Misc.
Her mother’s genetics left her with a very large gap between her front teeth. Shiloh spent most of middle school and freshman year in braces because of it, and if she doesn’t wear her retainer every night, it will start to reappear.
Has a freakishly long tongue. Seriously, it’s kind of weird. But the ladies love it.
Growing up, Shi always had wildly colorful hair that made some of the other elementary students jealous — that’s a perk of having an open-minded hairdresser for a mother! Although Shiloh’s signature color has been pink for a solid few years now, it has been every color of the rainbow at one time or another.

Rules: I'm typically not a rom com person, but rotten tomatoes says that Princess Bride is a rom com, and I love that movie, so that one!
So, this is merely for my own OCD. If it's not too much, put the rules bit inside the hider in the misc section. Do that and she's got the pink seal of approval!
Also: >Shiloh spent most of middle school and freshman year in braces because of it, and if she doesn’t wear her retainer every night, it will start to reappear. Pics or it didn't happen
Yeah; IANOWT is great. A breath of fresh air compared to most Netflix shows as I tend to dislike or absolutely hate nearly anything they create. I had to have people convince me to continue with Daybreak and The Rain, and even then I didn't finish the latter.
So I decided to check it out and the first two minutes convinced me that this show is going to be something special. I love the dexter/you-styled inner thoughts. I know some don't like it but man it's great if done well.
@Plank Sinatra So, you know I love Dana. I loved her in OA and I love her now. And I don't want this to come off as though I don't, so I will say it now: I love Dana.
Okay for the problems I'm having, which is to say there are only two. Possibly big or small depending on certain factors.
The FC. She seems a little old for 20/21. And yes, I'm aware she was in OA but in OA, there were a lot of extenuating circumstances allowing for kids to appear older. Here, it's not as open (unfortunately). So, I will have to ask, if you have any backup fcs for Dana, preferably those who might appear as though they are a little closer to early 20s, that you change her to that.
And now the second thing. Her color. When compared with Bas's color, I think it's a little too similar. You can obviously opt for a lighter shade of red (though still dark) so you can still have the general aesthetic I know Dana is known for.
One last, little thing: you forgot to read the rules. I would overlook them once more. :P
