Current First post after nearly a month of inactivity. Here's hoping I can get back into a good post routine before long.

Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

Thanks to having to move earlier this year, I finally get to experience snow for the first time since my early childhood. It's absolutely wonderful :)

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

@Awesomoman64 Miyu has a pretty consistent history of doing one somewhat useful thing (capping one point, blowing up the demon's grunts) and then falling immediately to the next threat without scratching them (Henry, Juno).

Shit. Miyu is the Krillin of the Angels.
@KoL

In the peoples defense, having a character die in the beginning is a little daunting, especially for those who only have one participating. To willingly bench yourself until a Tarot card (if they even can) brings you back or the battle ends is a difficult choice considering how long these can last. Even more so when this is the characters introduction battle as dying right off isn't exactly the first impression you want your character to have. (I know from experience.)

That being said, I am 100% on your side in that I've noticed some characters are practically invincible or live in the Matrix with their timing and precision. I get wanting your character to be a badass or get the "Play of the game" so to speak, but there's only so much room on the pedestal of badassary. If everyone tries to put their character on it at once there's gonna be pushing and shoving until someone is forced to stand down and that's not fun for anyone. Same for if you leave them up there and refuse to take them down. It leaves less space for the rest of us and we stop caring about your character or worse resent them.

My advice to all: Take turns, let others have their moment. Trust me, the longer you step away from the spotlight, the more people will love it when you return.
(except for Miyu. Miyu is just a bitch.)
((jk ily.)
Just a lovely reminder to everyone to acknowledge all the threats in your posts, be it Lamia, Juno's push, etc. And while you may not like it, also acknowledge that some of your characters are going to die this round. You can only block and dodge for so long.

Though I don't think it'll work/I should do it, I feel it would be really funny to have Omega unaffected by Juno's push only because then he could watch everyone go flying and then have Balrog go straight through him while he stands there like "...What the hell just happened?"
@The 42nd Gecko@Lucius Cypher

Since Balrog is the one in control and doesn't have the golden eyes ability, the mech lost a lot of spare parts. While it still retains the design of the merged form, its size is basically regular Balrog/Graf sized.

That is my totally thought out and not last minute because I forgot about the size explanation. If you guys have a better one please share.
Couldn't remember who was on the bridge currently so I tagged all of you. If you didn't have anyone on there ignore the tag. If you did, have fun. Baldakka has no breaks.
Omega

Looking into the distant storms Juno pointed at Omega was able to make out what looked to be the slithering scales of a massive serpent. Omega couldn’t help but whistle in admiration, “That’s the second biggest snake I’ve ever seen!” Joking aside, this did raise a few questions for him, mainly if that serpent or Juno herself for that matter did in fact have more control over the Nexus than anyone had lead on. Perhaps he’d need to look into a few things when this was done.

Before he could think long on the subject, a Harpy approached him and introduced himself as Syphax. Omega tipped his hat and introduced himself in turn. ”Howdy, Syphax. Name’s Omega. I must say I’m surprised to see a new face for a challenge like-”. Before he could finish, Omega spotted Henry being his cheap self and dropping a grenade before anyone had really made a move. “Pardon me. Duty calls.”

Just as it hit the ground Omega dove for the flashbang snatching it and holding it close to his chest as it went off. By obstructing it’s flash no one was effected by the blinding attack, and since it wasn’t magic in anyway, Omega wasn’t even phased. Standing from the action the spirit drew his pistols and stared at the bridge ahead. ”I think it’s time we stopped lollygagging and got a move on. Come on!” Omega darted forward at a brisk pace but made sure to watch his step as he got to the bridge.

Balrog

Miyu’s remarks drew a glare from Balrog whose only response was to point at her and slowly slide his finger across his neck. Oh how he wanted to walk over and smash her right then and there. Rip her head off so she could no longer use that annoying mouth of hers. If only he had been allowed to earlier they could have saved themselves that embarrassment at Alt Signia and he wouldn’t be stuck in this Machina body.

But even a simple mind like Balrog’s could see the bigger picture. While killing Miyu would bring much pleasure, defeating the other factions would be even more sweet. So when Fran came up and asked to be launched over to the other side, he chose to help her rather than start ripping and tearing the Angels as they bickered among themselves. Setting her on one of his shoulder missiles, he took aim at the snake women that had appeared and fired. Might as well put the missile to good use while it ferried his ally over.

By then Balrog noticed most of the Angels as well as Machina were currently crossing the bridge. With a big grin he decided to seize an opportunity to knock out quite a bit of the competition and moved to the start of the bridge. ”CHOO CHOO!” cried the mighty Baldakka train as he activated his leg thrusters and barreled down the bridge at high speeds hoping to knock off anyone in his way. (Even if that included Henry. A little payback really.)

Jessi

Predictably both Fei and Chen raced to Jessi’s side as he confronted Tegonay. Fei was quick to realize the soldier was wanting a one on one with his rival, and made a large circular wall of fire to create an arena for them. Chen, however, nearly got caught in the inferno and after scolding Fei demanded Tegonay surrender. Either act would have been enough to annoying Jessi, but doing both together prompted a reaction from the boy.

”Hey! You should remember who you are talking too before taking that tone! She may be on the same field as us but she is still of nobility and you will respect that. Second, I just challenged this guy to an honorable duel seeing as our last one was already interrupted by someone with a relic. So if you could just stand over there and wait until I kick this tin can’s ass I'd appreciate it. And third,” out of nowhere Jessi charged at Tegonay and swung forcing him to either dodge to block the attack. Once distracted Jessi let go of the weapon and grabbed his spear all in one seamless motion. Spear in hand Jessi performed a flawless backflip to his original position next to Fei and Chen and resuming his rant. ”Always be on guard, even if your enemy is arguing.”

With his trusty spear back in hand, Jessi readied for whatever retaliation Tegonay had in store for him.

@KoL

He did pick up the elf leaders weapon to use just in case, but I guess I could have Jess pull off some sort of badassery to disarm and retrieve his spear. (And maybe tell Chen to back off.)

Edit: Posted. It still feels a little off to me for some reason so I might make some minor adjustments later but for now it does its job.
