Current For those unaware, the guy who made the Castlevania series is making a Devil May Cry series. And it looks promising, at least to me.

Sometimes, you need a break from life. You need to escape to another reality for just a couple minutes, so you can come back and right yourself. But be careful not to get lost.

I'd be interested. I've played 3 Remaster, and 4 onwards.

And having read the prior messages, would you be alright with a Korean War vet as a character? Character would be in his late sixties, so while he would be a marksman with some survival skills, he'd also be slower and more fragile than most. The intent is to have someone who can shoot and can treat injuries, but lacks in other important aspects.

For example, he's only good in a fight for however long his ammo reserve holds out. If he's out of bullets, he's too physically broken to fight a zombie up close and expect to win. Not to mention he'd need help getting away from anything like hordes too big to fight, or tyrants like Mr. X.
The Velvet Room

The blue metal door let out a creak as it pushed open, a thick blue mist rolling from beyond the door. As the door opened, the mist thinned, and the next room became visible through the doorframe.

Beyond the door, the next room is entirely different, more like something resembling a war room. A long wooden table sitting prominently in the center of the room with over a dozen chairs, and a long silk tablecloth covering a strip down the center of the table. The walls of the room look as if they’re covered by velvet, almost like soundproofing or a padded cell. The padded walls of the central room, finery on the table, and the cushions on the chairs all are in an identical shade of blue to the bedding, trunks, lockers, and door.

A bald, disproportionately thin man with a freakishly long nose and bulging eyes sits at the far end of the long table in the center of the second part of the room, dressed in a suit and staring intently at the group with a curious expression. His fingers were tented, mere inches from his long nose as he stared at the two who pushed towards the door intently.

Standing at either side of him are a young man and young woman standing at his left and right sides respectively, each with sharp facial features, similar builds, and the same snow-white hair and yellow eyes. Judging by their appearance, one could guess the pair to be in either their late teens or early twenties. The man is wearing a suit, with his hair in a crew cut. The woman is wearing a pan suit, with hair tied back into a braid that runs down to her shoulders. Both of their clothes are in that same shade of blue, both seem to be wearing berets that share that same color, and both of them rigidly stood at a parade rest. They seem to be waiting for either something or someone, as the long-nosed man nods to the first two to enter. His voice carries across the room despite not raising his voice, as he speaks in a welcoming and almost friendly tone. “Welcome to the Velvet Room.”
The citizens of Traverse Town scrambled through the plaza, as the heartless pursued, in numbers that were impressive, but still not quite what they had seen on Destiny Island. As the citizens rushed through the walkway up to the First District gate, heartless mobbed towards them, intent on… eating them? Stealing their souls? Abducting them? Whatever it was, it definitely wasn’t good. Levi saw one citizen, an older man towards the back, stumble and fall as a trio of shadows approached him. Then, for the second time today, Levi looked at this plaza and chose to ignore the ramp down in favor of being faster… and admittedly more dramatic.

“Hey!” The shadows glanced up, and something galvanized their attention away from the citizen and towards Levi, who stood on top of the railing of the upper walkway. “Looking for this?” Levi asked, holding True Light’s Flight out in the open, which attracted attention from a good number of heartless. “Then here. Catch!” He yelled, before throwing his keyblade. He called that trick his Strike Raid, as it spun through the air and cleaved a shadow in twain. What Levi expected to happen was the keyblade bouncing off the street, or perhaps embed itself in it, but instead the keyblade came straight back to Levi. He held his hand out on reflex, and caught the spinning blade perfectly by the handle. Okay, that was awesome, and if anyone asks, I meant to do that. But how…? He looked over when he heard a sound, and leapt down into the plaza in time to avoid a ball of fire thrown by one a red variant of those cone-shaped heartless. He glanced at it briefly. Scarlet Tango.

“That’s right, eyes on me.” He muttered, before charging into the heartless. His bat was used more as a defensive implement, leading forward and deflecting away the lunges and claws of shadows and soldiers. His keyblade meanwhile, darted out after every blocked attack, cutting through the weaker heartless like… honestly, a knife through cold butter. He was definitely doing more to the heartless than they were to him, though.

The only interruption to his cycle of defense and counter-offensive came when the Scarlet Tangos, of which he saw three, threw a volley of fireballs at him. Levi managed to barely evade them without getting worse than a slightly singed shirt and a couple minor burns, but in the process he dodged right into another heartless’ attack. He initially thought he’d been hit by a car or something as he was flung back, stabbing his keyblade into the ground to slow himself down, and landing on a knee. Though that definitely hurt, with how far he moved… he noticed it didn’t hurt nearly as much as it should have.

Left looked up from the impact, and as he was expecting after that hit, he saw the responsible heartless was a Large Body, that was pushing itself back to it’s feet as a prelude to jonting over for another attack.

Levi glanced over to see the citizens hadn’t lingered, and most of them had retreated into the first district, with only a few stragglers yet to enter. He then refocused his attention to the Heartless as they approached, in numbers he found admittedly a bit… much. Still, every second he held this plaza would be another second for the others to find their way through safely. He took a moment to down a potion, before cracking his neck and turning his attention towards the mob of heartless.

Alright then. Let’s go.
Unless someone else wants to post first, I'm gonna get started on drafting something up for Levi. Should have something either today or tomorrow if so.
@Bacon If a character were to pinch themselves here, would they feel it?

I'll say yes, they would.
The Velvet Room

You awaken from slumber to find yourselves within an unfamiliar location, as opposed to wherever you found yourselves sleeping the night prior. The room is large, filled with bunk beds where you see other individuals stirring nearby, but otherwise seems empty. The bedding you find yourselves lying on is extremely comfortable, but something you can’t place refuses to allow you to return to sleep. The entire room seemed to be made mostly of concrete, with dark blue metal support columns at a regular spacing.

The entire room is pristine, without so much as a speck of dust or a single wrinkle in the bedding that wasn’t caused by the movements of yourselves. At the foot of each bed is a trunk that sits open and empty, and two similarly open empty lockers on each side of the beds. The bedding, lockers, and trunks are all in the exact same shade of blue.

One side of the room seems to stretch on forever, with seemingly endless rows of beds, trunks, and lockers. It ends in a concrete wall with a single metal door that sits slightly ajar, with a strange blue mist that seems to creep out from the other side.

Is there any other bookkeeping issues that need to be handled before we get started? I'm going to get started on drafting the IC introduction, but it'll probably be at least a couple days before it's in a state to be posted. In the meantime, if there are any other issues that need to be addressed that haven't been already, speak now.
@Bacon, does a Persona User get the power to 'buff' his mundane weapons?

If by 'buff' you mean a mundane weapon in a persona user's hands deals more damage than in a normal person's hands, yes. If this is isn't what you meant, I'm gonna need you to explain.
I assume that buffs to resistances would be on the table when characters undergo a second awakening.

Can confirm.

Additionally, I'd like to ask if there's any other bookkeeping that anyone needs to get out of the way before I type out an introductory post in the IC?
